but it's doomed from the start cause.. human with a ghost.. y'know?

So I’ve already written a RTC fic but now im writing another and it keeps becoming gayer. It was not intended to be this gay but Ocean apparently really likes Jane and any time i tried to rewrite it to be subtler it just got gayer

Hey can someone explain why a decent amount of the ship names in the rtc fandom have been changed in the past month or so?/gen /lh

I've been in the fandom for about 7 or 8 months now and everything was pretty consistent until recently

The ship names were:

GingerDolls (Jane X Ocean)

SpaceDolls (Ricky X Jane)

GingerCakes (Ocean X Constance)

DemocraticRappers (Ocean X Mischa) (I don't know if this ship name was commonly used outside of specific circles btw)

SpaceGingers (Ricky X Ocean)

Nischa (Noel X Mischa)

(and this one I think) SugarDolls (Constance X Jane)

(there are more ships but those are more on the back burner ships, I don't remember the names, and or I don't think people have changed them)

But recently I've been seeing:

BlackRose (Constance X Ocean)

PerfectDolls (Ocean X Jane)

Oscha (Mischa X Ocean)

(I don't think these are all of them. these are just the ones that I can think of off the top of my head)

I understand what these new ships mean. But the somewhat sudden change confuses me.

Edit: I don't know if my tone it may come off insensitive or rude so I do want to clarify. that this is not me trying to insult the people who have come up with these names and I completely understand the names themselves I'm just confused on why there was a change.
