Connection Description:

Your character would be the Deputy Sheriff who worked under and hated the previous Sheriff, Lorelai Cavanaugh, who they viewed to be incredibly corrupt, but no one in the department seemed to take them seriously when they attempted to voice these concerns.

The previous Sheriff was Lorelai Cavanaugh, the Catalyst and previous coven advisor whose real name is River Cassidy, but she was parading around as "Lorelai", tampering with evidence and crime scenes to prevent anyone from catching on to her plans as she concocted her revenge upon the town.

After Lorelai was revealed to be the Catalyst, your character worked as the acting Sheriff until the new Sheriff could be appointed to town (the new Sheriff is an NPC by the name of Adonis Ridgeport).

Your character is morally good. They want to reform the law enforcement department and protect the citizens of this town. They are by the book and are a law abiding citizen, who airs more closely to the side of pacifism, who tries to avoid/deescalate violent situations.

They are human and are a member of the Human Coalition. Could even teach Coalition self-defense classes and want humans to be able to protect themselves as much as possible.

They support the Council and want to work with the Council to put a stop to the threats on the town. They believe all species should be treated equally and aren't prejudice/afraid when it comes to the different species.

They are well aware that some people in town will be wary of them for stepping into this position and feel a strong obligation to turn the Sheriff's department around.

They also are in charge of the tip line at the Sheriff department having to field a number of prank calls in an attempt to get to the truth.

Henry's mother instilled in him a want and a need to protect others. He had three younger siblings, and a father who died shortly after the youngest was born, so he was the "man of the house" at an early age. He took great pride in the responsibility of caring for his younger siblings so his mother could work to provide for them, but this instinct made him more of a caretaker to them than a sibling, and that gap only grew once they aged and moved out.

His siblings all went on to leave Huntsville, searching for bigger and better things, and he was happy for them, proud even, but there was a part of him that felt abandoned and alone. He searched for connection and formed a deep friendship with Natasha Haversham. She was ambitious and adventurous, but needed someone to temper her, so Henry found her Danielle. Meanwhile, Henry needed someone to help push him toward his own goals, so Natasha found him Sylvie. The four of them were thick as thieves in their twenties and thirties. They all went into local politics together, Henry supporting Natasha's campaign for mayor, and Natasha supporting Henry's for sheriff.

While they fell slightly short of their goals (Natasha landing deputy mayor, and Henry winning deputy sheriff), they still considered themselves champions and looked forward to working together to build a better and brighter future for Huntsville.

Then their world ended in 2012.

Henry's wife died in the first wave, along with their teenaged son. Henry was devastated, broken. He contemplated joining them, and he would have gone through with it, if it wasn't for Natasha. She managed to stop him, told him that she still needed him, begged him to stay with her so they could figure this out together.

When he found the protection symbol in that cave, it felt like a sign from the ancestors, from God, from someone who may be still looking out for them, protecting them. Henry felt the call once again: to protect. He must protect this town and the people within it, no matter the cost, whatever it takes.

Safiye lived in Connecticut all of her life, which is where she met Daniel after she turned 29.

Daniel was the owner of the local bookstore who was an older vampire who attempted to help Safiye with her new life as a vampire.

She struggled with feeding and ended up being a ripper, which they spent years working on feeding only for it to fail at their attempts. Partly because he wasn't skilled in teaching and kept bringing her humans, but also because he was an older vampire who just didn't have experience since it came easy to him

Daniel's store was attacked on Valentine's Day 2023, while Daniel and Safiye were inside; he sent her out the back to protect her and fought off the hunters alone.

When Safiye came back all that was there was a letter for her that told her about Lunar Cove. Which she went to instantly and has been living here for over a year.

Daniel could be doing whatever you want in the mean time, but he finally is now coming to Lunar Cove.
