#NewRelease #BookReview Deacon by @KitRocha #GideonsRiders
Ana has trained most of her life to achieve one goal: to prove that anything men can do, she can do better. Now she’s Sector One’s first female Rider, and being the best is the only way to ensure she won’t be its last. Distractions aren’t allowed–especially not her painful attraction to the reserved but demanding leader whose stern, grumpy demeanor has already gotten into her head.

~**~ ARC Review: Ivan (Gideon’s Riders #3) by Kit Rocha ~**~ (Link in bio) Release Date: March 28th, 2018 Description As the sheltered princess of Sector One, Maricela’s life is defined by duty: to her people and to her family. Her wealth and influence have allowed her to build a better world, but they come with a price—the responsibility to secure political stability with a practical marriage. Maricela cherishes the idea of marrying for love, but there’s not much romance in the endless line of suitors interested only in prestige and power. And her handsome, brooding new bodyguard isn’t helping the situation. Ivan is the perfect, deadly warrior, a man trained from childhood to be the ultimate protector to the Rios family. His focus on keeping her safe is intense–and a little intoxicating. When the threat of danger cracks his icy control, Maricela realizes she’s not the only one fighting against temptation. Ivan knows that the blood on his hands makes him unworthy of the pure-hearted princess. But from the first kiss, their forbidden affair feels inevitable. He can give her a glimpse of life outside her gilded cage and a lover who wants the woman instead of the crown. The only thing he can never do is promise her forever. Because spurning her noble suitors to marry her bodyguard wouldn’t just be a scandal. It could set off a political firestorm that would tear Sector One apart. #KitRocha #Ivan #GideonsRiders #SectorOne #ARC #Review #ComingSoon #dystopian #romance #bookstagram #blogger #ontheblog #bibliophile #bookworm #booksnwineblog #blessed #bookishAF #bookgeek #hawaiigirl #igreads #readersofinstagram #OKane4Life #TeamSix #TeamBren #ReviewCrew

~**~ ARC Review: Ashwin (Gideon’s Riders #1) by Kit Rocha ~**~
Tumblr media Tumblr media
***5 ‘Reversed Gravity’ Stars***
You have those books that you devour because the thought of putting it down for just a moment is anathema to your very being. Then you have those books you savor, taking your time with them so as not to miss any detail because to speed read through it (even though you know you can re-read it at any time) is pure blasphemy. I honestly didn’t know on which side this book would end up on because I’ve been dying, yes DYING, for Ashwin’s story since his appearance in Beyond Jealousy so any patience I had when the first book for Gideon’s Riders was announced was gone, but all I knew what that one way or another I’d be devouring every word and I was not disappointed. Not only did I finally get to see just how Ashwin’s mind worked, which was pretty fucking amazing, but also got a whole new set of characters to fall in love with!
“Are you fucking insane?” “By most standard definitions, yes.”
If you didn’t pick up on it, I’ve been a bit obsessed with Ashwin and every appearance made me all kinds of twitterpated because the man was such an enigma. For all intents and purposes is is the perfect, emotionless Makhai soldier and then he does something that breaks that mold that has you questioning if it really happened or not. So finally being able to get a look inside his head was fascinating and made me adore him even more. He may be a tad bit obsessive and efficient to the point where you really do wonder if he is insane, and yet for a man who believes he doesn’t have a heart, his is bigger than he’d ever believe possible.
It’s hard not to love Kora, especially after all she did in Beyond Surrender, I mean the woman pretty much reached sainthood in the eyes of many, which makes it all the more perfect that she’s ended up in Sector One, but she really is a woman to admire. Compassionate, determined, intelligent and with an inner strength that makes her quite formidable.
Ashwin and Kora’s road to their HEA was all that I wanted it to be. It was fun, smexy and surprisingly sweet. What I loved about it was how Kora took the lead in most of it as she helped Ashwin to accept and understand that he could feel and that emotion wasn’t the enemy, but this isn’t to say that Ashwin didn’t do anything. As strong as Kora was, Ashwin helped her be vulnerable and know that she had someone who would be there to take care of her, true it was an obsession with him, but it came from the right place, and he did learn to tamp it down so she would suffocate. And the heat factor? Hot. Have your B.O.B and/or Arctic level bubble bath read because they were nuclear! And the bump in their road? Surprising, but it made sense as it was explained, how it was dealt with and got them over that hump so they could have their HEA.
As much as I love Sector four and the O’Kane’s I’m totally digging Sector One, the Riders and the Rios family. There is a reason Sector One remained in tact like Sector Four because it had the same foundation: Honor. Loyalty. Family. And leaders who are more than what they appear to be. I’m loving Gideon, but even more I’m loving the family dynamic, which is what had me hooked on the O’Kane’s. These are people who will kick your ass for being a dumbass and then extend a helping hand to get you out of the grave you’ve dug yourself and that right there has me making grabby hands for more. I’m already loving the Riders, though I kinda wanna shoot Kit Rocha for one thing that happened, and can’t wait to see how the little teases dropped in this book will play out along with the overall story arc. So...Bring on Deacon baby!

Lieutenant Ashwin Malhotra is a Makhai soldier—genetically engineered to be cold, ruthless. Unfeeling. His commanding officers consider him the perfect operative, and they’re right. Now, he has a simple mission: to infiltrate Gideon’s Riders, the infamous sect of holy warriors that protects the people of Sector One.
He’s never failed to execute an objective, but there’s one thing he didn’t anticipate—running into Dr. Kora Bellamy, the only woman to ever break through his icy exterior.
When Kora fled her life as a military doctor for the Makhai Project, all she wanted was peace—a quiet life where she could heal the sick and injured. The royal Rios family welcomed her like a sister, but she could never forget Ashwin. His sudden reappearance is a second chance—if she can manage to touch his heart.
When the simmering tension between them finally ignites, Kora doesn’t realize she’s playing with fire. Because she’s not just falling in love with a man who may not be able to love her back. Ashwin has too many secrets—and one of them could destroy her

Once upon a time, two best friends decided to write paranormal romance. And while that was awesome, they also sometimes wanted to write insanely dirty stuff that wasn’t paranormal at all. This is that stuff.
Kit Rocha is the dystopian-erotic-romance writing alter-ego of writing duo Moira Rogers.
