Despite the foreboding clouds churning above, this disembodied *chrome dome cyborg* with pupil-free perspective appears to be so utterly tranquil. Since it seems as though it's sky-gazing - which is a pastime that we've all engaged in myriad times in our own lives - the weirdness of this scene dissolves. For a flash, it's as if we can relate to what must be going on within its...mind (?)...machine...(?)...server (?)....exactly WHAT is INSIDE this hyperrealistic facsimile of a human visage? The writhing bull in this deeply symbolic (and rather darrrrrk) painting by airbrush artist Giampiero Abate Pittore is emblematic of the endless struggles that mother nature must endure at the hand of humanity. We attempt to dominate, contain, alter, and decimate the natural world - oftentimes under the guise of progress and development - but tend to forget that the two steps *that we think we take* F O R W A R D end up whooping us in the butt.

The Italian painter further incorporates a 12 sided dodecahedron into this composition to represent the laws of the universe, begging the question, "Will nature or humanity ultimately prevail?"

Each project is a pain, starting from the theme, to then address the composition and design, finally the painting. The technical and stylistic choice, often not thought of, but made straight away. It may seem strange for the airbrushing technique, but when everything is ready and I find myself choosing the palette, I go by instinct. I don't program, but I want it to be like with brushes. I prepare the colors and I play, I experiment. Then I stop, I observe, I study, reason and let myself be navigated by what I see in front of me.
