Thank you my beautiful ladies. My night was short, due to not being able to get to sleep and then waking up early, but I did stay safe and take care of myself (with Mama Bear’s help of course). Your crossed limbs are greatly appreciated.

I got it when I went to Canada when I was 18. It’s actually a wolf in a Native/First Nations style. It’s made from pewter. I have a few coin like things called pocket spirits in my bag at all times that have different animals in the same design that represent different virtues. One of my prized possessions.

YES! THAT YOU! The little ghost was supposed to have a lion’s mane too (that’s what all that brown around his head is) but I kinda screwed it up when colouring it. I’m glad you like it. And you’re a goober too you knucklehead lol.

A VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE…

As some of you may have seen over the past year I’ve been kind of vague blogging in a tag called ‘Wolfie’s big scary journey’. The time has now come to reveal what that means.

Around the age of 17/18 I started to feel self-conscious about my body. Specifically my breasts. They no longer felt like a part of my body. Two bags of meat that shouldn’t be there just constantly weighing me down and making me loath looking in a mirror at my torso for any length of time to the point where I would actively avoid them if I could. I tried for the longest time to push these feelings aside and ignore them, but when I started having terrible thoughts of wishing for breast cancer just to be rid of them easily, especially given I’ve had family and friends suffer and die from it, I knew I had to do something about it.

I took the problem to my Mum, who then agreed we should go to the doctors. The doctor recommended me to a gender therapist. Through a number of appointments and many months of discussion and self-reflection I came to the conclusion that I was indeed non-binary. Specifically in my own words genderneutral.  I'm not agender since I still feel like I have a gender, I'm not fluid cause I don't go between extremes, and I don't think bigender fits cause it's not strictly a combo of male and female. Just feels like a nice little spot in-between it all. Ergo genderneutral. My therapist listened to my thoughts and agreed with my wishes and assessment that my ideal end game would be top surgery for a flatter chest to feel more comfortable in my own skin. After this I was then sent down to Manchester to meet my surgeon and after another number of months and appointments was given to have the surgery.

If it seems like I am powering through all this information really fast, it is simply because through this journey over the past two years I have come to terms with all of this and have been waiting in limbo for this end game for so long, that it seems that only the relevant and important information is needed to be passed on.

I want to thank so many of my online friends who have helped and supported me through these past few months and the hard times I’ve had, either directly or indirectly and both to do with this and just general blues and such:

Bluntly put nothing major is changing. I am not changing my name, nor in broad strokes am I changing my pronouns since it is easier for work and such, so there is not much to remember. If you are unsure that anything you may say might make me uncomfortable or are unsure as to how to proceed with something, please all you have to do is ask me and I will do my best to answer your questions. It’s all still very complex and I don’t even have all the answers yet. So please be patient as well.

As I post this it is the evening before my surgery (the most important part and main goal of this journey really) and I am both nervous but also excited. I’m excited to hopefully feel more comfortable and confident. I’m excited to be comfortable exercising and also be able to go swimming again. Not only that but I am excited to wear white again and also go on a much needed shopping spree for new clothes.

I would have posted this tomorrow morning before the surgery, but given it is to be at 7:30am I won’t be around to do so. But that could mean by noon the next stage of my life begins.

So the next time I manage to get on my laptop and properly talk to everyone will most likely be after all of this and I can’t wait.

Had an absolutely marvellous day with my friend!

We powered through the first 7 episodes of Riverdale and I am hooked (@ghst-bustin I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!). Then my other friend/her finance came over after he had finished work and we got pizza and chatted while Power Rangers was on in the background.

I am a knackered but very happy Wolfs.
