i'm preeeeetty new to the lis fandom (or i've been around since about the time lis:tc came out but i was too into other things to really explore content until now) so i was wondering if you had any fic recs? i'm a sucker for pricefield and chenrich but honestly i just want Any good fic about the lis blorbos at this point and digging around on ao3 is a wild time :T

ofc!! although, warning i havent put enough time into finding chenrich fics, and im also a huge sucker for one shot SO:

now this one, if i needed to describe it, would be my guilty pleasure. (im using that word wrong most likely) A fluffy pricefield oneshot! For some reason they decided to have Max be deaf? But it doesn’t change anything that major in the story :]

ANOTHER (you guessed it) adorable fluffy pricefield one shot! dont you just love variation?

Now this one? I can not recommend ENOUGH! I understand if novelization isn’t you cup of tea, but it wasn’t mine and i still love it. It’s a pricefield series where they novelized the game, but there is a Postscript based off of the comics (you dont need to read the comics). + one or two other fics that aren’t directly novelized.

sadly, thats all i could find for stuff that i would recommend. Although i *will* be looking for more chenrich fics to recommend!

Imaginary Max by VengeSim, great twist on a classic LiS trope but I won't go into detail about because the twist works REALLY well

The Golden Hour by Ghost_in_the_Hella, really sweet first date fic

sometimes my arms bend back by OpheliaMarina, short fic that's kinda a Twin Peaks Fusion, I don't know I've never watched it, but I really like the vibes

Gun, With Occasional Hella by GeneralIrritation, another one of my all time fics!! Really good take on the rewind powers and has some of the best takes on characters like Nathan, Warren and Victoria

no grave can hold my body down by OpheliaMarina, I don't know if I really need to tell you about this fic, it's the most popular LiS fic for a reason

As for games like LiS.... So sorry my dude but there really isn't any that I've found that hit all the same holes in my heart. There's games out there that are gay but none of them are like LiS, not really. The best I can say is play True Colors. I've found that a lot of people have not, which is a shame because it's great. Depending on which kind of games you play maybe give Baldur's Gate 3 or any BioWare game a go, they aren't like LiS but they are gay and depending on how low your standards are that might be enough lol

As for book? The Locked Tomb. Hands down. I love the Locked Tomb SO MUCH. It's dark and sad but has some amazing humor in it. It has some of the best world building I've ever seen. It's very much worth getting into !

Amberprice Fanfic Compilation

To whom it may concern,

I've been felling quite shitty lately and nostalgia is the only thing keeping me breathing, therefore I'll be providing you the best Amberprice fanfic recommendation you didn't ask for.

Previous warnings before you proceed: a. Amberpricefield it's not my cup of tea, so you won't find any here; b. This was made completely based on my own literaly taste (don't come for me if you hated it all); c. I've been struggling with keeping my focus for long periods of time, that's why you won't find a lot of multichapter works here. I'm really sorry, but a long history requires a lot of brain cells and I've burned them all lately; d. Huge thanks for all the amazing authors who wrote this pieces, you've been doing Gods work; e. Fell free to recommend all types of Amberprice fanfic that I missed out. I've made this thinking that someone could be felling as shitty as I'm felling right now and could use some escape from reality to help cope with everything else.

This fanfic fells like those endless summer nights where you would stay up until dawn doing absolutely nothing simply cause you could. It reminds me a little bit of "Looking for Alaska" by John Green which only added for the nostalgia felling.

2. Castles in the Air by Scorpion_Queen (https://archiveofourown.org/works/19161673/chapters/45544687) When I started my marathon of reading Amberprice Fanfic until my eyes stopped working, something that really pissed me of was the over-the-top romanticization of Chloe and Rachel. For me, the beauty in their characters was the visible flaws, that's what made them "touchable". No one is completely good or bad (except Mark Jefferson, fuck him), and this author understood beautifully this assignment. Definelly a must read if you like the nuances of their relationship. Chloe and Rachel are actually Chloe and Rachel in this one.

3. Slumber Party Rules by Scorpion_Queen (https://archiveofourown.org/works/28055220) At this point you must think that I'm in love with Scorpion_Queen. Well, you're completely correct! It's been a while since I loved so much an authors work that I wasted long hours reading all their pieces. I couldn't thank Scorpion enough for that. Basically, this one shot involves a game of truth or dare from Max pov. It was very interesting seeing how other characters interpret the relationship between Chloe and Rachel.

4. Coward by Mogatrat (https://archiveofourown.org/works/11067531) Smut + Angst = pain. I'm a huge simp for authors that shows the ambiguous relationship between them. It's a very quick read, ideal for poop time (that's me trying to be funny).

5. Every Move Just for Herself by Mogatrat (https://archiveofourown.org/works/15923051) Mogatrat do a FINE job when the business is Smutt + Angst. Also, the internalized homophobia is *chief kiss*. This is a very quick read, so you know...

6. Pink Bubblegum by Danganphobia (https://archiveofourown.org/works/13155687) This one just fells like home. It's the type of reading that just fells right, you know? It's easy and uncomplicated. Do you remember how I said it that i hated over-the-top romanticization of Chloe and Rachel? Well, my hatred does not apply to this one. HAPPY ROMCOM AU Y'ALL. Just accept this gift without further explanation.

Therefore, that's my excuse for all the fluffy one shots in a role. So, you know, enjoy yourself :)

9. Notice Me by lunargrrrl (https://archiveofourown.org/works/13505091) The format of this one fells like a poem. Honestly, I never thought that something like this would captivate me at all, but it definely did. Pleasant surprise to say at least.

10. So, You're a Fatalist Then? by Dandybear (https://archiveofourown.org/works/12434655) After I read this one, it took me a while to read another Amberprice Fanfic. I have this theory that most of us reads to live a life that do not belong to us. We have the privilege to simply escape. And I loved to escape the fact that Chloe and Rachel never left Arcadia Bay. This piece reminded me what actually happened.

11. Can't Complain About Much These Days by breezered (https://archiveofourown.org/works/13267965) Do you remember the cutscene in the end of Before The Storm where Chloe paints her hair completely blue? Well, I hope you do, because Rachel helps her out in this one. Believe me when I tell you that you need a little bit of fluffy after the last one.

Alright in the Evening (Baby With You) by breezered (https://archiveofourown.org/works/13214394) That's the euphoric felling that Rachel tried to describe to Chloe the night after the play, where everything is possible and running away is the easiest thing in the entire world. This piece fells light.

15. And the Forest Burned (You See Smoke) by breezered (https://archiveofourown.org/works/13153557) This one destroyed me in the most beautiful way possible. I've been staring at my computer screen for a embarassing amount of time trying to describe how this made me fell so I can indoctrinate you to also read it, but I'm failing horribly. Do you know that book that list 1001 things you have to do before dying? Well, if I've written that book, reading this fanfic would be one of those things. If that's not enough for you, stay with this GENIUS quote: "No, loving Rachel Amber doesn’t kill you. It never burns out, not really. Sixth House Monday: Fic Recs

A couple of things I've read and enjoyed recently, featuring everyone's favourite librarians. Feel free to add your own suggestions -- I'm always up for more Cam and Pal!

Quicksilver by pipistrelle -- Camilla and Palamedes on the Sixth, pre-canon. Until or unless specifically contradicted in canon, this is how it happened. (If contradicted, then this is also how it happened.)

A Muscle the Size of Your Fist by Ghost_in_the_Hella -- A Cam/Gideon fic that explores a bit of the "what if they had more time at Canaan House to hang out" question, and posits "Cam and Gideon workout bros, of course." Which is a very valid answer. Plus it's tagged "Who wants to be a Camilleonaire?" so on the basis of a pun like that I'd give it strong odds it was written as a wish-fulfillment self-insert by Gideon herself after her brief fight with Cam at the hatch, during some "Harrow has abandoned me again" downtime. (WIP)

And of course you know I have to mention The Furnace of You by Cypseloides because I am all over it at the moment, but it features some very good Sixth House Nerds -- prime Cam-Gideon and Pal-Harrow hangouts. If you ever wanted to feel emotionally compromised over Camilla playing piano, this is the fic for you. (WIP)

Better Then by IsraelBlargh, 137K, A dark post canon Bay fix it fic, might be a bit much for some people but there was a lot of thought put into Max's powers and it's a pretty good deep drive into them

run away with me by lagaudiere 3k, a cute short fic about Max and Chloe getting married

Recursion by CDNCrow 303K, this fic makes me want to eat dry wall. My favorite LiS fics and one of my favorite fics ever. This fic made me cry and also research book binding. Post canon Bae fix fit fic with really great character work on a lot of minor characters, like Kristen, Fernando and Max's parents, and also on characters that are really hit and miss with me like David and Victoria. Max's powers are also really thought out here and I love how she doesn't get OP over night but we still get those nice moments of 'oh Max is kinda fucking horrifying.' 10/10 and I wish I could re-read it

Just everything by OpheliaMarina. The most popular fic in the fandom (no grave can hold my body down) was written by them and it's the best for a reason

another day; another excuse to be sent your way by twodimecastle 3K this is a True Colors chenrich fic but it's cute and I like it. Just covers the missing part where Alex tells Steph if she wants to stay or leave Haven

A Different Way To Be by Mogatrat 9k This is LiS but not pricefield, a great character piece on Rachel and Kate. This fic made me ship them but also made me cry a little bit ( The canon fate of Rachel still happens in this fic)

Escaping The Light by Omnicyde, 275K, I feel like this is a classic fic of the fandom and I do love it. It's a complete AU with a lot of OCs so it might not be to everyone's tastes but it has some great moments in it. Rachel is really great in this fic and is one of my favorites

Pedestal by Mogatrat 28K Super great post canon fic (where the dark room stuff happened but there was never a storm) with a really good look at Chloe's mental heath and how she's dealing with everything

Imaginary Max by VengeSim 60K I can't explain the plot with spoilers but I love this fic because it's a nice little twist on a common idea that the fandom messes with a lot. I love fics that do stuff like this and it's a great read.

The Golden Hour by Ghost_in_the_Hella 18K This fic is a sweet and cute first date fic and one of the rare fics where Max just gets to play with her powers.

The Girls Who Broke the World by GeneralIrritation 173K (Spread over 3 works) I fucking LOVE this series. Just like Recursion above this fic is one of my all time favorites. I remember random lines from this fic like they are burned into my brain. It's a post canon fic set years after LiS with a really good twist on it. This fic has my favorite Vic and Max moments, my favorite protryal of Arcadia Bay and explanation of Max's powers. It also got to make to like Warren and Nathan (only in the context of this fic though.)

we've only got this hundred years by stiction 5K Rare fic set during LiS, really great with adding moments that very much could have happened.

And, though I know you asked for fics or artists, I can't let anyone new to the fandom not know about Love is Strange by Team Rumblebee which is a dating sim set in a completely peaceful alternate universe where nothing about the Dark Room took place. The player ( as Max) chooses between Chloe, Kate, Victoria, and Rachel on who to work with on a photography contest and it's just cute as all hell. The game is VERY well made, the art is amazing, the writing for all the characters is great and it's clear that the team loves LiS.
