Like, sure, throughout the campaign they've had multiple life threathening missions, but only after Elias' death was there truly an all or nothing mindset— where the smallest mistake could determine the outcome of everything.

When the Walker brothers decided that they'd die, just to take Rorke down... Did they feel they had nothing left to loose, so long as both were gone and so was Rorke?

Was that the reason they really gave it their all, pushing through their injuries? They were ready to die and they made sure that Rorke wouldn't survive no matter what (well, we know how that went...)

Just how much weight left their shoulders the moment they survived? The moment they sat on the beach, panting, watching bombs paint the sky?

And how fucking hard did reality sink in at the sight of Rorke, surviving just like them?

For the ship thing: capvers

I'm so feral about them, but why...

Because they were just two ordinary man looking for kindness in a harsh world and found it in each other.

Because they knew each other for 2 months and couldn't forget each other for 5 years during a war. they were that smitten with each other.

Because they had so much potential and the world just robbed them.

And a bit more meta:

Because Havers basically is wish fulfilment incarnate. He's the perfect partner specifically tailored to the Captain. He's kind, not only accepting of but completely enamoured with the Captain (rather because of his oddities instead of despite), he protects him from ridicule, the Captain can depend on him.

Like he loves the Captain like I (as someone who loves cap dearly), think that Cap should be loved. And to be honest as someone who can identify with Cap in a lot of ways, isn't that what a lot of people want? To be loved because of who you are especially when you feel "other" and not despite of it. And I know it's a lot to gather based on the screen time Havers got but it is there. For each of those points I could pull out quotes and GIFs from the show. For me the amazing portrayal is deffo a huge factor as well.

However what brought the shipping even further was the interview with PSC where he states that Havers was initially drawn in by Caps kindness. And that's when I went 1000% feral. (Season 5 had made me 800% feral give or take)

Because now for me that leveled the playing field. The Cap is now wish fulfilment for Havers as well.

We're on soulmate territory now!

Imagine falling for someone so hard within months that you don't forget about him for five years on the front! Through injury and horror and Havers returns a lot more damaged, a lot darker but there are still hints at him being still somewhat himself just very, very subdued. But then he talks to Cap and the love that's in his eyes. It endured.

Fuck my life.

They were just two ordinary people who deserved to be loved "in the right way" by the other and instead it ended in fucking heartbreaking tragedy.

And tbh on an even more personal note, for me their dynamic hits right into a weird yearning and a fierce hope around not being too much and being enough.

love the idea of a young daley having carol and morris and pat and cap as parents and not thinking anything of it like to other kids on the playground "what do you mean you don't have 3 dads? who takes you to karate when one of them is at work?" and also having the strangest mix of dialects like all the northern slang and accent of the butchers but now that cap's in the mix he's being inundated with weird cap-specific mannerisms like the "good lord" and the throat clear and the noises like "ah yes well aehahuh very good" but he's 8 so everyone at school is like. what the fuck is going on. why do you talk like that.

(Even her father has given her criticism in a distinct manner, which has upset her and led to emotional outbursts, frustrations, constant arguments with family members (Especially her older cousin) and angry yells. As a result, she ended up adopting aggressive manners and occasionally using harsh language) It's a common experience among oldest children in dysfunctional families and can significantly impact her self-image and sense of worth.

ᯓ★As for moving the past it with such a deep-seated issue could be a long, difficult process, particularly in dark of the long-term trauma she faces as a result of the Mexican Drug War and the constant sense of danger that comes with living in a harsh violent environment. This process is complex and challenging, but it is possible for her to find empowerment and resilience as she starts her journey towards healing.

── .✦Ghost: I don't think she was haunted by ghosts but yes, "haunting" effect in the form of voices such as critical inner voices, repeating the negative self-talk or even people who have caused her harm. This may include memories of her father's abuse, the violence and disruption caused by the Mexican drug war, and any traumatic events she experienced during her escape.

i fear i'm a little behind in what's popular at the moment in terms of fan theories but i will give it a go and say the first things that come to mind! <3 <3

11. What is a (popular or not) fan theory that you love?

i don't love it because it makes me terribly sad, but the idea that there were spies at button house. just because of Alison's throwaway line "maybe there were loads but you just never knew" or summat when Cap insists there weren't any. just feels like the kind of thing that would come back to bite him. same way that he realised his feelings about Havers too late, he might also realise that.

12. What is a (popular or not) fan theory that you don't quite agree with?

i'm not sure how popular this is but i've definitely seen people talk about Havers coming back? like i understand (sort of) if there were to be more flashbacks of him, though personally i feel that his story was wrapped up neatly in one episode, but yeah, the thought that he will somehow return as an old man? or that they were secretly in a relationship the whole time. that's just not what the episode was for me.
