Ghoul Anatomy Ref Sheet One Is Done!!

I have no idea how many more of these will be made (I want to do height, hair, ect at some point) But here's sheet one :)

explanation for everything hc wise and such below the cut 🐟

Water:

Water ghouls only have one kind of horn and those being the deep blue fading into a grayish blue, but with some ghouls (first observed in Mist) they will have a slight rainbow affect when the light reflects right (imagine them like those holographic stickers) . Their tails can also have a similar affect. Some ghouls even have blue patches that are bioluminescent and can spread to skin aswell. The most common areas for this are joints and cheeks.

Fire:

There are two different variations for fire ghouls, either white or the red fade variation. This is the most common ghoul type to have two different colored horns. Their tails are sharp and ashen looking, it is very easy to accidentally slice skin with it, for this reason they have unreasonably thick skin that can also withstand their fire.

Quintessence:

The horns seen above are that of a ghoul-kit, and a full grown ghoul. The purple color that ranges from blue-purples to pink-purples darkens as the ghoul gets older, white star like shapes are acommon trait but not guaranteed. Their tails are the same as their horns.

Air:

Air ghouls are by far the lightest colored ghouls (from horns down to skin). The horns take on a greyish-blue to grayish-green color, some appearing nearly all white like the fire ghoul horn type. Tails are a cloud like feel and constantly change shape like the pupils of their eyes.

Earth:

Earth ghouls have either coffee brown or a greenish color. Earth ghouls horns also darken with age. Occasionally the kind of earth ghoul with brown horns will grow vine like plants that wrap around both their tails and horns. Tail ends mimic those long leaves on trees.

Multi:

Multi ghouls are the funnest to work with because of the different possibilities, they can take on any coloration or combination of the different ghouls colors, these ghouls also have the chance with different colored eyes and horns, its still not as common as fire ghouls though. Swiss has light orange fading to grey horns and Aurora has horns that are colors that blend together in a rainbow like fashion. Their tails work the same. The most common base color for eyes are white though.

Hell-Bound:

Yes, fallen angels and hell bound angels exist with my headcannon, they take on the appearance of a ghoul slowly. Wings decay and their skin slowly darkens, horns painfully protrude from their heads and they loose their angelic abilities and get replaced with new demonish ghoul like ones. Though its common for them not to gain any power at all and have the same abilities as a human. A tell tale sign your dealing with a Hell-Bound is their eyes, once golden; now a murky yellow-brown color with pupils that resembled st. peters cross.

How Good It Is (Benny Miller) by @wildemaven Fully on the Benny train, this scratched the itch this week with this delightfully wonderful piece of fluff with a delightful touch of spice and I can't wait to get more insights to this couple's relationship.

A Safe Haven Drabble (Joel Miller) by @darkroastjoel You don’t have to have read the series to appreciate the angst in this small little drabble that packs a punch. Explores Joel’s feelings on the impending arrival of Tommy’s child with the grief of missing Sarah and it manages to do it all in less than 600 words beautifully. 

Your Hand In Mine (Joel Miller) by @thelightsandtheroses This is a great opening to a new series and it's such a great opening premise that will have you wanting to find out what happens next and in eager anticipation of what is to come next.

Open Mic Night (Marcus Pike) by @secretelephanttattoo No denying it anymore, I’m ankle-deep in this Pike Puddle and this is an excellent example of what keeps me content with damp *ahem* feet… Are you one of those who forgot it's canon that Marcus was a part of a band? This one-shot is here to remind you with a bang!

Clouds (Joel Miller) by @softlyspector This is incredibly soft with a few hard edges - allusions to events from TLOU2, but no spoilers and no golfing. Highly recommend a read of this.

Little Monsters (Dieter Bravo) by @chronically-ghosted Dad Dieter was not the trope I thought I needed, but here we are and I can’t get enough. This is all what I picture Dieter as a father being like. This is equal parts fluff with equal parts spice which makes for a delightful read! 

For the Night (Agent Ortega) by @ladamedusoif I think the pilot hit the web for all of a couple of hours before we were blessed with this delight. As far as I am concerned this is what the pilot should have been, it’s deliciously raunchy and I may have read it several times. 

Delta Landscaping | Chapter 5 (Triple Frontier Boys) by @rhoorl I don’t know if I still have words for my thots feelings on this update to this series. So please accept this gif and go get caught up, and if you've not read it? What are you waiting for?

Spinning in the Rain (Frankie Morales) by @frenchiereading This is like the best kind of fluff, it's atmospheric, it's indulgent, it's sweet and it's Frankie - what more can you ask for? Oh, and it's based off a song that I already adored and this makes for one to go back to for re-read.

All I Need (Frankie Morales) by @frenchiereading Mel has such a way with these perfect snippets of fluff and romance that make your heart swell and this is another example of this. I can't do it justice, you just need to read it to experience it!

Exposed (Ezra) by @maggiemayhemnj This was a delightful debut and a great read that flowed just as well as Ezra's poetic prose, which Maggie manages to capture perfectly. If you are a fan of Prospect and Ezra, you will not be disappointed!

Personal Day (Marcus Pike) by @sin-djarin If I'm staying in the puddle, I'm going to make sure it's in good company with fanfics like this one! If Marcus Pike is going to ask me to come back to bed for five more minutes, who am I to deny the man?

Shared Breaths | Chapter 9 (Frankie Morales) by @frenchiereading It's a triple header here for @frenchiereading! The slow burn of the first eight chapters pays off with a bang here and, it does not disappoint! If you're late to the game like I am on this excellent story, I very much recommend jumping in because it does not disappoint!

Things I’ve Enjoyed This Week…

I got four episodes deep on Wrestlers, a Netflix original docu-series on OVW, a Wrestling farm out of Florida that was once where the WWE sent its superstars to cut their teeth before making their debut. I once upon a time was a big WWE fan, so this has been an interesting watch. I'd recommend it too even if you're not a wrestling fan as there are some interesting stories from both those who run it and those who live it.

Indiana Jones, Football and Queen (the band) those things altered my brain chemistry and are still a big part of my life so I guess that's would be it

5. what made you start your blog?

So I first made a blog on tumblr back in 2012 after the football euros because I found that people love football around here but then life happened and I was away for a long time, but then one day in 2021 I realized that I was missing the fandom life and came back so I've made this account, firstly I would do edits for twitter (rip) like headers and icons but then I get fed up and started to blog about things I love

18. do you believe in ghosts and/or aliens?

Listen, there is no fucking way we are the only kind of life out there, there is so much we don't understand and so much to learn about space life in general, like we don't even have a clue about what goes on at our fucking oceans that are so tiny compared to the outer space scale???? like please!!!!! And ghosts I don't really know, I've experienced some spooky stuff

24. what’s one thing you’re proud of yourself for?

I've been able to recognize some nice stuff that I have done that makes me so proud, like considering all things I'm in such a good place mentally, phisically and professionally speaking. Growing up I was so scared that I would end up being a shitty person like my parents, or that I would never get a job on the field that I loved BUT GUESS WHAT!!!!!! HERE I AM!!!! I DID IT!!!

30. what’s one thing that never fails to make you happy/happier?

my cats!!!! they are little devils but I love them so much, they are the light of my life, my babies and I would die and kill for them

that means this is a deeply religious space for me, which can look like a lot of things! sometimes my worship can look very casual and almost friendly in nature. sometimes my worship can look highly personal and take on elements of prayer. mostly, I’ll just be doing my devotional writings and reblogging things that make me think of Him.

that can mean I’ll be blogging/reblogging things associated with Him, like (but not limited to): Cerberus, dogs, snakes, skulls, death, graveyards, ghosts, loving His Wife, keys, other people’s devotion

but also, a lot of it will be UPG (unverified personal gnosis, or things that I associate with Him personally through my relationship with Him), like (but not limited to!): punk music, graffiti, horror movies, snow, Green Day, coffee, Halloween decor, the grim reaper, cityscapes, city lights, grunge music, dead trees or plants, missing His Wife, political action and antifascism

if some of those things don’t resonate with you or your idea of Him, that’s okay! everyone’s devotion is different and everyone’s relationship with Him is unique! what we can agree on is that He is divine and worth being worshipped- which is exactly my purpose in having this blog.  (a related note- in my worship, I worship both Him and His Wife, Persephone. that will occasionally come up on this blog. if you personally have a practice that does not venerate Their Union, that is okay! but this is not a space to argue with each other about our beliefs. simply unfollow, block, or ignore the posts that involve Them both.)
