Reading the comic again so here's a small compilation of Ghost being sweet<3

Friendly reminder that despite the mischaracterization online, Ghost is quite the opposite of cold and mean. This man helped his brother recover from drug abuse and didn't return to the army until he was recovered, kicked his abusive father out of his mother's life, was the best man at his brother's wedding, loved his family, got revenge for his family after they were murdered despite wanting to kill himself, and knows very well how to calm people down, as well as being reassuring to hostages and telling his very difficult story to strangers in order to gain time to save them all.

Imagine what if during Shepard’s betrayal, his aim was just a little off from Ghost’s chest, he hits Ghost lower, and the bullet hits his thoracic area, causing paralysis from the waist down

Now Ghost is only helpless to watch Roach burn alongside him, and he’s unable to drag his fellow soldier to safety out of the ditch. At best, he can only drag himself out to safety.

Today i play original modern warfare 2 and i finish the last mission with ghost..... that's was so painful i cry ??? 10 minutes after i see THAT cut scene so i NEED some cute flaff ghost and i sketch some 09 ghost with my face headcanon of him ( god i love him so much you don't understand)

Love your blog! As someone who never played the games, I recently read that the connection between Roach and Ghost is often overlooked in the fandom today. Could you please elaborate on that?

It is overlooked now that I think about it

Roach not appearing in the recent game means that Soap takes up most of Roach's old role, especially in the betrayal scene

Roach is set as the main playable character for the 09 Modern Warfare 2, so he accompanies Price, Soap, Ghost and few others the majority of the time. His captain is actually Soap, and he forms quite the strong bond with all three of them.

In fact he a has a bit of a link with Soap as well, who constantly saves his life, but in the end fails to catch the many red flags and in Soap's and Price's eyes they simultaneously fail to save both Roach and Ghost's lives.

Soap acts as the mentor character towards Roach, much like how Price is towards Gaz in the 2020 games, and that's all Price needed to know in order to like Roach.

Oh yeah- Ghost

Ghost and Roach do a lot of the missions together, with Ghost joking around a lot with him. They finally go on a mission together completely alone, and the betrayal occurs killing them both in the end.

Roach gets injured, and Ghost seemed incredibly distressed in the situation risking his life to secure Roach and head to Shepherd's vehicle for safety. Then Shepherd betrays them both and burns their bodies together. So they're mostly linked through their deaths.

Soap is kind of both Classic Soap and Roach in 2020s Games

For instance

Roach misses a jump to a helicopter and has to be guided back alone through walkie-talkie by Soap and Ghost in a foreign area VS. Soap gets injured and has to be guided back alone through walkie-talkie by Ghost in a foreign area

Ghost and Roach get betrayed VS. Soap and Ghost get betrayed

Anything that Soap does during missions is basically the same thing Soap and Gaz end up doing

I wonder if the two alternate versions of Ghost and Soap feel like they're missing a silent someone

HC that ghost hate summers, for 2 reasons.

it reminds him when roba left him for dead in the mexican desert. and was buried alive. the ones who know the OG comic lore knows what i'm talking about here.

second reason, is because it makes his woolen balaclava itch like hell and it's annoying for simon. also a pain in his ass when insects constantly tries to fly into his eyes, get stuck in the mask's ears or hollow spots.

its fine during missions but off-duty in civic settings? it pisses him off BADLY. mostly because having 7+ insects glued to your mask gives a few side glances and simon rather remain a wallflower than have any attention directed his way (the constant red flares ups from bug bites doesn't help either).

Seriously. I love 2009 simon riley so much. I love his droopy blue eyes, his cursing, his voice, his youthfulness, his baclava and sunglasses. everything about him screams biker boyfriend. He deserves so much more attention… HIS BLUE EYES ARE SO……. not to mention he looks adorably high. Maybe i’m just a sicko for droopy eyes. HE LOOKS SO TIRED! They remind me of a puppy and i’m not sure if i’m going crazy or what. HE’S JUST SO ADORABLE DAWG I CANT…beefy ghost is cute too, but 09 ghost js gives me the tall handsome, well-built biker boy. Current TF 141 wakes up in the OG universe, in their OG bodies.

For Price, not much is different, though he feels older, his facial hair is wrong, and his voice is less destroyed by years of smoking. At least the facial hair is fixable. Grumpy about his now aching more than ever back, he makes his way to his office and starts looking into his own file as well as those of his teammates.

For Soap, though he'd never admit it, he feels like he got an upgrade. A scar over his left eye and a squarer jaw, coupled with his apparent promotion, as those around him have been falling him Captain since he left his room, have him practically preening. Opening his mouth reveals a voice not quite as low, and more accented, which he can (has to) live with.

Ghost is pissed. Not only is he now downgraded to his old balaclava, rip 20+ custom skull plate masks, he thinks, but he's also lost several centimeters of altitude. As he makes his way towards Captain Price's office it become increasingly clear that in this universe, him stalking through the base like an angry wet cat is common, as no one bats an eye and several men toss him a decently cheery "hey Lt!" as he goes. Being forced to look up to see Soap, who apparently outranks him now, fills him with the urge to put his fist through something. Perhaps a computer monitor.

Gaz is having an awful time. Not only did he wake up in a body that most definitely isn't his, but the men at the gate tried to arrest him because apparently in this universe, and isn't that a fucking wild thought, the operator known as Gaz is dead. He had to sneak in after losing the guards, at least he was still a highly skilled soldier. He snuck up to the window of Price's office, and could hear 3 unfamiliar voices from within. After eavesdropping for a moment he surmised that it was his team, in the exact same predicament as himself. He wasn't alone. Thank fuck. Climbing through the window was the quickest option, but had him tossed back against a wall by some little guy in a skull mas- Ghost?

"Who the fuck are you?" Small Ghost spits up at him.

"I'm Gaz." He replies, admittedly miserably.

Ghost relents, but hesitantly. "Why are you white?"

"Why are you short?" Gaz shoots back without thinking.

A much larger Soap than Gaz is used to lunges forward to restrain Ghost, stopping him from presumably fileting Gaz for his cheek.

Hi! How old do you think Ghost was when his family died?

In order to join the SAS you have to at least be 18, so we know when he joined in 2001 he had to have been at least 18.

5 years pass before he loses his family, meaning for the youngest possible age Ghost was 22-23.

(Yes this makes him in his early thirties during most of the events of the game)
