QUALXON'S DTIYS CHALLENGE

Well, the votes are in, so here we are!

This is the piece I've set for the challenge, mostly inspired by the fact that I was looking back over my old English Lit notes and found stuff about Copernican Theory Vs Ptolemaic Theory in Ye Olde Times and,,,yeah lol

Rules for this challenge

Tbh I'm probably gonna be pretty relaxed about the rules for this, because it's been ages since I last got involved with or hosted any DTIYS, so the only requirements are:

Keep the theme of the Sun, the Moon and Earth, but it's entirely up to you how you present it. As long as those 3 elements are included in relation to Ghidorah and are recognisable, then we're golden (no pun intended)

Keep Ghidorah as the character of focus, but how you pose him/design him is not important, so long as it's recognisable as him

Do whatever you like with the background, I just left it solid black because I liked how it looked lol

Yep, I'm issuing prizes for this challenge! Once I've received everyone's entries, I'll pick my top 3 favourites and give each of those winners a commission-style prize as follows:

🥇1st Place - 1 full body piece + a choice of either 1 half body OR 2 busts/headshots

🥈2nd Place - 1 full body piece

🥉3rd Place - Either 1 half-body piece OR 2 busts/headshots

⚡️ The Three Headed Devil ⚡️

Y not give y'all an incite into my "artistic process ✨"

I start with what I think of as "wires", so I have a better idea of what I want where, I'm super minimalistic here

I create a sketch on top of the wires, sizing anything up or down or moving anything if I need to, (in this piece I moved his legs down quite a bit) I don't plan ahead so whatever I had in mind yesterday will disappear from memory and I'll just make it up as I go along

Then I do lineart and colours >:D my fav part

From there I colour the lineart where I need to and add lighting and shading (if the piece calls for it, otherwise I won't bother or will be super sparing with shading)

And voila, a finished art piece ☺️
