â[George] said, âOh, John would be a Wilbury in a second.ââ - Tom Petty, Rolling Stone, January 17, 2002
âJohn Lennon was and always will be [a candidate for the Wilburys]. Peter Tork is a definite candidate. Michael Nesmith only if he gets back in his jeans and cowboy boots. Arlo Guthrie is most definitely a Wilbury (after all, his father, Woody, was an ancestral Wilbury). The MFQ, Flo and Eddie and Jan and Dean are definite Wilburys. Ron Wood, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman, Leadbelly, Fats Waller, Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith, Ethel Waters, yep.â - Audrey Zelenko, Daily News, March 9, 1989
âYou might think the Wilburys myth satisfies some longing for the one experience George missed as a Beatle â a bunch of friends playing music for fun, unencumbered by the trappings of success. âIn a way,â he concedes. âBut more than that it was that thing that went on in the late â60s and â70s, the big craze of supergroups and super jams and everything was super duper. Just getting some famous people together doesnât guarantee success. More often than not itâs just a clash of personalities and a big ego detour. âSo I thought we should play it down. Rather than the record companyâs natural choice: Look what weâve got! It took a while to give them the idea of âLetâs lighten up a bit.ââ [âŠ] âWhat I saw as the Wilburys was an attitude, basically. I see loads of people out there who have what I call The Wilbury Attitude. Somebody wrote in a paper things like, âLittle Richard is a Wilbury, Madonna wouldnât be a Wilbury but Cyndi Lauper would be.â It was quite funny.ââ - Musician, March 1990 (x)

GH editing does not do favors for stories like the Ice princess. The shorter the scenes per episode, the longer they stretch it out repeating dialog most of the time and compromising quality storytelling for the sake of plot device. Today was a prime example. It felt like the Victor/Spencer scenes were the shortest out of all of the scenes and yet they have the biggest storyline going on right now. They could have kept Millow out today, could have done without the Joss/Portia scene, the scenes of Sona and Crew just felt like useless recapping, and donât get me started on Jex.
Good observation!
#general hospital#asks - gh#they should focus on the stories that have something to them instead of cramming shit and cutting things short

!THIS IS PURE FICTION, NOTHING IN THIS IS REAL ITS JUST A STORY!
âSit.â Minho commands, pulling the collar thatâs around my neck. âAre you gonna be a good little dog for me?â He says as he glares into my eyes harshly. âAnswer me you bitch.â He slaps my cheek causing it to sting slightly.
âOw.. y-yes master.. Iâll obey you like a good pup.â I whine, crawling between his legs. My eyes travel up his legs, becoming wider as I see him unzip his pants.
âSuck.â He demands. Pulling my face towards his dick and thrusting into my mouth. âMmgh!â I moan around his dick, gaging as he shoves it down my throat. âShut.â He growls, pushing his dick further. âTake my cock like a good dog.â He tugs on my ears, motioning me to go faster.
âGâŠgh..â Iâm still struggling around his dick, tears running down my face. âFucking hell, stop whining already!â Minho snaps, pulling his dick out from my throat and slapping my face with it. âTongue out, baby.â He chuckles as I put my tongue out, proceeding to rub his tip on it. âLook at me.â He says and takes my shorts off, spanking my ass roughly. âHhhhâŠâ I whimper looking at him with puppy eyes.
He smirks at the noises coming out of my mouth before walking around to my ass, roughly fingering my cunt. âA-ah.. master please not there..â I moan, feeling my eyes roll back as he hits the spot.
âYou canât tell me what to do.â He says with a dark laugh. He thrusts his fingers faster in and out of me making me squirt all over him as well as my tail wagging as I cum

2024 Book Recommendations
I have an embarrassment of riches this year -- I had the chance to read a lot, and I kept finding so many good books. So many that instead of my normal ten recs, you're getting fifteen.
As always, these recommendations are not complete endorsements. Especially with the older books, there are definitely elements present that are questionable and even offensive.
Dragons â Pamela Wharton Blanpied (fantasy written as nonfiction, the first section recounts what happens when dragons invade Earth, the second section is a treatise on the habits and biology of dragons, and the third is a fascinating series of field notes from those who dare to befriend the monsters)
The Chatham School Affair â Thomas H Cook (mystery, a rural school, a beautiful lonely teacher, a lake, luscious language, loaded with atmosphere, you keep making and remaking your theories as you guess what happened)
Plain Bad Heroines â Emily M Danforth (mystery, braided narrative between the early twentieth century and present day, copious narrator commentary, cheeky footnotes, extremely funny but also extremely dark, gothic tropes, mostly female cast)
Cloud Cuckoo Land â Anthony Doerr (sci-fi, braided narrative spanning centuries, the story of one ancient text's journey through history, ancient Greece, medieval Constantinople, the present day in a small-town library, space travel and ai, it all comes together across the endless reach of time and you feel a lot)
Fanny Herself â Edna Ferber (pre-WW1 coming of age women's story, old-fashioned Anne of Green Gables thoughtfulness and sweetness in some places, rousingly modern in other places, strong focus on the heroine's Jewish identity, extremely funny narrative voice, the love of nature versus the industrial verve of Chicago, will our heroine keep her soul?)
The Vows of the Peacock â Alice Walworth Graham (Middle Ages, poetic fantastical language, Isabella the She-Wolf of France, messy politics, a darkly sexy historical villain, a complex but at times quite moving arranged marriage, an absorbing female protagonist)
A Thousand Ships â Natalie Haynes (Homer's women retell Homer's stories, angrily, tragically, bitchily, including many women you might not have thought of [and it isn't just the women Homer mentioned â we get into the weeds], the story is cut into bite-sized pieces that still offer filling food for thought)
The Masqueraders â Georgette Heyer (Georgian-era glitz and witty repartee, the heroine lives as a man, her brother lives as a woman, their father is full of wild schemes that might very well get them all executed for treason, the romance is a slow burn, and we get highwaymen)
Venetia â Georgette Heyer (a Regency-era GH romance, if you know GH then you know she's the author every other Regency romance writer is trying to be, it's funny, it's daring, it's tender, GH's romances are solid, but this one especially stands out for its strong-willed and capable heroine)
The Haunting of Hill House â Shirley Jackson (the house is a character, and not a nice one, psychological instability, unreliable narrator, creeping inchoate horror, whose hand am I holding, let's dwell on the unhappiness of being a smart woman in the 1950s)
Thornhedge â T Kingfisher (Sleeping Beauty but WHAT IF, I love the heroine, her name is Toadling, it's funny, it's romantic, it's thoughtful, it's even folkloric, there's a lot about ugly lady lake trolls, the prose reads beautifully, and it's compact, it doesn't waste your time and is short enough to knock out in a day or two)
The Silver Metal Lover â Tanith Lee (sci-fi, awkward dystopian-glam girl falls in love with a robot, whom she does not own, the sci-fi is as soft as pudding but it's more about the vibes anyway, inimitably stylish Tanith Lee weirdness, the robot is an absolute doll along with being a robot)
Pony Confidential â Christina Lynch (a pony is on a revenge mission against his former Horse Girl, but what if it was both funny and serious, but what if there was also a murder mystery, but what if we dwelt on human-animal negligence a la Black Beauty, but what if we also brought in Homer's Odyssey, it gets emotional)
The Princess and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich â Deya Muniz (fantasy, graphic novel, nonbinary protagonist lives as a man and is appalled to suddenly fall in love with the local heroic princess, gorgeous gorgeous shoujo-ish art, also very funny, it will make you crave cheese)
The Alice Network â Kate Quinn (WW1 and WW2, braided narrative, women acting as spies in occupied France, little-known historical events unfold on the page, so much Baudelaire, an old heroine and a young heroine and both are smart and bitter and compelling, but there's still room for some sweet romance and sharp humor)

19 . . . main story

â cw: objectification, near-death experience, obsessive behavior.
(...I still, feel out of it...)
Right after discovering the casket upon which Lord Elbertâs name was engraved,
we tried to hide among the cargo as we slipped into the Bernard Companyâs freight ship.
(Is Lord Elbert alright? Just what in the world was with that coffin...?)
As if trying to amplify my worries, the sound of the waves hitting the ship with a strong force resonated in the deck.
William: Kate, from here on, some danger will follow.
W: As such, I would suggest focusing on what is before your eyes.
Kate: ...Sorry about that.
William didnât turn around once as he spoke to me, and in a panic I pulled my attention back to what was in front of me.
William: ...It would seem that the casket has the Bernard Companyâs crest engraved upon it.
W: Hence, it is not something that was requested by someone outside.
(The Bernard Companyâs crest...? Which means...)
Kate: That would mean someone from the Company is the one targeting Lord Elbert, right?
It was then William finally turned to face me, a bewitching smile playing on his lips, as though affirming what I had just said.
William: If such is the case, then our mission to eliminate the top of the Company may be intertwined with that to save Elbert.
W: And in order to save him, would you not agree that itâs imperative to swiftly complete this mission and glean information?
Kate: ...!
(Heâs right â itâs just as William says.)
Williamâs words gave the support I needed, and my mind became more clear.
William: Do you feel you will be able to focus now?
Kate: Ah... yes, thank you very much.
William: Thereâs no need to thank me.
Boat worker: !? Who the hell are you guys! Howâd you even get here...!?
At that moment, a worker on the boat, who appeared to have been patrolling the premises of the shipâs deck, waved his lantern as he turned toward us.
William: Ahh, what wonderful timing.
With no sign of agitation, William took a step forward, his movements nothing short of elegant, andââ
William: âDisclose Gabriel Bernardâs current location.â
Boat worker: The third cargo hold! Wh, huh...!?
(ThatâsââWilliamâs ability.)
The power to instill an absolute order that the other must follow through on. When I remembered the time I was under its influence, a shiver ran down my spine.
When the worker swiftly disclosed the location, William gave him a perfect smile.
William: Thank you for the very helpful information. Now thenâââStay silent here until dawn breaks.â
Boat worker: Gh!? ...!
The workerâs legs stiffened as if he was sewed to the deck, and he held his own throat in a panic, unable to make a sound.
Alfons: Hehe... Quite a pitiful soul, honestly. Were that he could call his friends sooner, but alas.
Roger: Not that he could even if he wanted, since I couldnât hear any other voice around.
Ellis: Oh, really? Then, it probably doesnât matter if he has to stay silent or not.
William: Well, let us go then.
Kate: Right!
Walking past the worker, we hurried to the third cargo hold.
(...Lord Elbertâ)
I had no way of knowing whether Lord Elbert was truly here or not.
But, the one thing I knew for sure was that he was being targeted by the Company.
(And just as William had said, if we can meet Gabriel Bernard, weâll surely find some clues to his whereabouts.)
(Please, just be safeââ)
ââ Elbertâs POV ââ
From afar, I could hear the sound of the waves crashing.
ââWhen I awoke, I found myself on the ground, like a bug.
???: Ahh... I see you are awake now.
I didnât recognize that voice as I turned toward it in the dim darkness.
When I tried to move, though, I felt a sharp pain in my head, as if I had been hit with something.
Not only that, my throat hurt tooââ
???: As I thought, having a human drink poison while they are sleeping is quite difficult.
???: Next time, I will need to use a lethal dose.
Elbert: ...Poi...son...?
My throat felt like it was burning, and my voice, which I had to squeeze out, came out hoarse.
Though my conscience was clear, my body wouldnât listen.
???: Ahh! But perhaps it is a good thing that you havenât knocked on deathâs door yet!
???: For even your voice is beautiful...... to know that, I truly do feel grateful.
From within the faint light came a man with gray hair, in the prime of his life.
His attire looked to be of high quality, decorated with jewels... and in his hands, he held what looked to be a medicinal vial.
Elbert: Where... is, thisâŠ
Gray-haired man: Weâre currently in the cargo shipâs storage room. See, if you listen closely, can you hear the sound of the waves?
Elbert: ...ugh...
I tried to form more words, to no avail.
A strong sense of nausea burned my throat, perhaps because of the poison I was made to drink while unconscious.
As though being scorched alive, a heat spread its way within my body, in turn making my hands and legs grow cold.
ââSo much so, it felt like death itself.
Gray-haired man: Ahh... if nothing else, I must preserve these blue eyes of yours.
The man crouched down beside me, and he lifted my chin close enough to him that I could touch the jeweled decorations he wore.
Gray-haired man: Actually, perhaps I should simply mummify everything from the neck up?
Elbert: ...What, are you...
Gray-haired man: Ah, I apologize for the belated introduction. My name is Gabriel Bernard.
Gabriel: I was quite taken with you from where I sat back at the auction â you were so beautiful.
G: Thatâs why, I wanted to make you mine. Ever since I had first laid my eyes on you.
G: Iâm hoping to add you to my collection, you see.
Elbert: ...col...lec...tion...?
Gabriel: Are you not the same? You, too, collect beautiful things, do you not?
The manâs eyes looked as though he had been possessed by a demon, filled with craze,
and that closely resembled something I myself was familiar with.
(Ahh...)
(...I feel like, Iâm looking into a mirror.)
Elbert: ......Perhaps, youâre right.
Gabriel: Hmm?
Elbert: Maybe, you and I are... truly the same.
E: Using selfish excuses as a shield... pushing our greed onto others, and... hurting them, too.
The images of the man in front of me, the man who assaulted Mother, and the doctor who had tried to assault me,
intertwined with the image of myself, binding Kate with shackles.
This time, nausea bubbled up from inside me for a reason other than the poison coursing through my body, but rather a feeling of disgust.
Elbert: You... the man who had assaulted Mother... and the doctor who had attacked me...... and me, myself.
E: We are all, one and the same... repulsive human beings.
E: As much as we deserve to be rewarded... we deserve to be punished.
(Right now, he is trying to do to me what I had done to all the things scattered about in that room. It is all, one and the same.)
(And, no matter what reason he â and I â give for letting madness drive us,)
(Our actions are naught but avaricious, selfish, and repulsiveââ)
(None of us, deserve to be forgiven.)
Gabriel: Mother? Doctor? Your words are nonsense to my ears, but surely, you are anything but ârepulsiveâ!
G: In fact, you are beautiful â and thatâs why, I need you to die, so you can become mine.
G: Of course, this is not a punishment. Rather, this is love â the workings of love itself.
The vial was pushed against my mouth, and I could feel a pain scorching my lips.
Elbert: ...gh...
Gabriel: Whaâ!?
Though my body was weak, I tried to shift myself to turn my face away.
At that moment, the vial fell from the manâs hands, the shattered glass scattered on the floor.
Gabriel: Ahh, truly, what a waste.
G: I believe I do have a spare somewhere around here. Where was it again...
Gabriel let go of my chin, muttering something as he started rummaging through the shelves.
Elbert: .........Whyâ
âdid I resist just now?
I had always thought it was only natural for me to be punished like this.
And, I had thought about whether I should sink into the depths of this deep, deep sea, sooner rather than later. Thatâs what I should have thought, butââ
ââ Flashback ââ
Kate: Lord Elbert.
ââ End flashback ââ
Elbert: .........
Her voice rang clearly in my earsââ
And suddenly, driven by the fear of death that crept up from within me, I was hit by a seemingly burning impulse.
Elbert: ....Iâ
E: âI, really am the worst... arenât I...
If I had only wanted to be âforgiven,â I would have let go of this life a long time ago.
But... the reason I had continued this meaningless cycle of atonement,
the reason I had been so hesitant on having her,
and the reason why I had hurt her so much, and felt so sad to the point it felt like a blade was cutting through my body. It was all because...
ââ Flashback ââ
Kate: And, no matter what sin you are bearing, I... I like you.
K: So, please, donât throw away all your happiness to atone for this sin...
K: ...I, want you to smile. And, I want to make you happy, Lord Elbert...
ââ End flashback ââ
Elbert: ......ha...ppyââ
E: gh... I...
E: ...I, really... want to become happy...
ââIt had always been like this.
No matter how deep my sins ran in this life, no matter if nobody ever forgave me... and no matter if I can never forgive myself, in this lifetime...
(No matter what... I had never completely given up... on becoming happy.)
(No, I couldnât give up.)
(Iââ)
(ââam simply greedy like that, after all.)
Elbert: .........Kate...
E: Kate, Kate... Kate...
E: I want to become happy... together with you.
Even now, when I had locked her away in my room,
I wanted everything: her smile, her words, her gaze, everything. I wanted it so, so badly â I could hardly bear it.
I want to see you again, love you â I want you, yourself.
(I had hurt you so much, but,)
(if you still wish to stay by my side, after all that...)
Elbert: I...
No matter how many times the howling, raging seas invited me to the far, distant horizonsâ
Elbert: ...I, want to return to the shore, where you are.
I pushed my weakened body to the limit, crawling toward the door.
I could hear the manâs excited voice fall on me from above my head.
Gabriel: Ahh... even when you are crawling like a caterpillar, you are still captivatingly beautiful...! You are truly like a living miracle!
Elbert: ...ghââ
Gabriel: Oh, but, do take care not to wound yourself on the nails on the floor. For I need not scratched items in my collection.
(If I can see you again, the first thing I will do is apologize, for so many things.)
For hearing, but not listening to you.
For pushing my greed onto you, and treating you like an object.
And... for making you a tool of atonement.
(And thenââ)
I felt him grab my arm, and my vision flipped.
Craze-filled eyes held me captive where I was.
Gabriel: Now, once you drink this poison, you shall be complete.
G: As the worldâs most beautiful corpse, that is.
ââ Kateâs POV ââ
Ellis: The third cargo hold... weâre here.
Within the narrow corridors of the dim interior, a cold door loomed over us.
(So, the Companyâs top is in here.)
(If we go in, surely weâll find a clue as to where Lord Elbert is tooââ)
Ellis: Iâll keep watch from the outside then.
William: Alright, I leave that to you.
Alfons: ...It would appear the door is locked.
Roger: Step back a bit for me.
Roger then kicked the heavy door down.
Kate: ââ!!
At the sight before me, my breath got caught in my throat.
There, I saw Lord Elbert, who looked like a lifeless doll with that pale face, held down by a man with gray hair.
Kate: Lord Elbert!!
Elbert: .........hh......?
I could see his golden locks lightly sway.
Lord Elbert opened his eyes slightly, and his blue eyes that resembled the sea, met mine.
(......Lord Elbert...)
Elbert: ââ......
For a moment, I could clearly tell that his lips had called my name.
Gray-haired man: Who might you guys be? I was just in the process of making something important, so could you kindly stay out of my way?
William: I take it you are Gabriel Bernard, yes?
Gabriel: Indeed, I am. If you are here for business negotiations, though, you will need to wait.
Gabriel didnât even spare William a glance, as he tried to push what looked like a medicine vial against Lord Elbertâs lips.
I didnât know what was inside. But, alarm bells were ringing within me.
(No, you canât drink thatââ!)
Grabbing a cloth bag nearby on a reflex, I threw it at the man.
Gabriel: Ugh!?
The heavy bag hit the manâs arm, separating the vial from Lord Elbertâs mouth in the nick of time.
Gabriel: What do you think youâre doing!? What would you do if he had gotten wounded!!
Gabriel shouted at me, as if he was flaring up, whenâ
William: âââDo not move.â
Gabriel: Gh!?
As per the commands of the âSelf-Righteous King,â he had become an absolute servant in an instant.
William: âLower Elbert on the ground. As slowly as you can.â
Gabriel: W, what is... this... my body... itâs moving on its ownâ!!
Obeying Williamâs orders, Gabriel did as he was told, lowering Lord Elbertâs body to the cold floor.
(Lord Elbertââ!)
William: I am grateful for your support, Kate.
W: Everyone, I leave Elbert in your hands. I will take care of this heinous criminal.
Kate: ...hh ...!
It was as though something was pulling at my legs, and I ran to Lord Elbertâs side, caring not how I looked then.
Kate: Lord Elbert... Are you okay... Lord Elbert!
Elbert: ......ugh......
(His skin is freezing cold, like ice... but why...)
I tried to hold his weak body up, and Roger came to help.
Roger: Elbie... hey, Elbie, can you hear me?
Alfons: Though conscious, it appears he is paralyzed... perhaps itâs a neurotoxin.
William: Well, now, it would seem that you have spoiled my dear friend quite a bit, havenât you.
Gabriel: Eeeeâ
William: So, what poison did you make him drink?âââAnswer me.â
Gabriel: ...ite... Itâs, aconite...
Roger: ......Did you just say aconite?
Hearing that alone made Rogerâs expression cloud over in an instant.
Kate: Is thatâ
Alfons: âA lethal poison, it is.
Alfons was uncharacteristically monotonous as he murmured this.
Alfons: It is a poison that can kill you with a miniscule amount... and not only that, no antidote exists for aconite.
Kate: Whâplease, Roger, there has to be something we can do......!
Roger: ...It seems he is still able to breathe on his own will. In which case, there is some hope.
R: We will have to make him drink enough water so that he throws up, even if just a little. After thatââ
R: All we can do is pray that death doesnât come to get him.
Kate: ......hh...
Elbert: Haa...gh, haa......
Lord Elbert could no longer speak â he could only take in shallow breaths.
But, his slightly open eyes were as deep as the sea, and they seemed to burn as they stared intently at me.
Kate: ...!
My heart, which was on the verge of being dyed in despair, felt encouraged once more.
(I, canât ever give up.)
(Because, Lord Elbert surely hasnât given up either.)
Though tears felt like theyâd overflow at any moment, but I held it in as I gave him a smile.
Kate: ...Itâll be alright, Lord Elbert. Iâll be here with you.
Elbert: ......hh...
Kate: Thatâs why, letâs do our best, together.
Lord Elbertâs breathing was slightly pained but,
when I held onto his hand, which had gone completely cold, I felt that he nodded.
Alfons: ...Adjacent to the harbor, there is a clinic of an unlicensed doctor.
A: We shouldnât outstay our welcome here, lest we risk getting attacked, and I imagine there is only so much water as well.
Roger: Letâs head there then.
Kate: Right...!
I followed after Roger, who held Lord Elbert, as we left the storage.
After Kate and the others had left, one after the otherââthe air in the cargo hold seemed to slowly grow more cold.
William: ââNow then, itâs time to face your judgment.
Williamâs sentence seemed to shake the silence,
and as though a drop of poison had dropped on his tongue, Gabriel fell into a state of panic.
Gabriel: W, what is this... j-judgment, you say!?
G: J-just what sin, have I..... gh, no, wait, just what are you guys anyway!?
William: What are we, you ask? Letâs see now...
W: We are sinners who will only be met with death â far from any âgood person.â
W: ...Let us just leave it at that.

SMUT request with redson, Nezha and Xiangliu (separated) with a dominant female reader riding them to death
Ouroboros Death Coil (Xiangliu x Dominant!Reader) Smut
I hope you enjoy! Sorry this is kind of short!
Smut below!
The Nine-Headed Demon was a patient man. He had to be after all. With all the plans he had to return to his home, to his sun, Xiangliu had to be cunning, sly, and most importantly, patient.
He never expected you to gravitate towards him.
He wasn't interested in such thing after all, you were nothing more than a pawn in the cycle. You weren't his ultimate goal. Yet, here you stayed, eagerly listening to his stories, to the tales of the chaos that you couldn't comprehend.
Ah, it became a beautiful thing: to have a follower in his cause, to have someone who understood.
Xiangliu wouldn't fail in this cycle; he knew this well. The harbinger was awaken early, the cycle would collapse in the coming years, and here you were, ready to join Xiangliu in the aftermath.
You called for a celebration, a reward for the chaos demon's hard work, and a reward he was given. Wine, food, everything he didn't care to indulge in at his disposal. He ate things of various flavors, and the sweetest, most thickest of wines poured down his throat.
But, you weren't done giving him treats.
Your hips rocks intensely against your partner, your god.
"Gh--hhh, my--my love--"
You looked up to the snake demon, how his eyes sparkled with each memory of the chaos he thought so fondly of, how his voice spoke with a deep passion you've never seen before, how his hands tremble in silence, mourning for the sun he'd been deprived of.
It seems the Nine-Headed Demon had quickly gotten used to you, at least, he stopped ignoring you every time you followed him around.
Usually, you weren't one to pursuit such a man-- fox-like in every regard, misfortune in its purest form-- but you couldn't help it. His presence demanded an audience, his voice demanded a listening, and his hands demanded a viewer. He was enticing in every sense, and he had you in his grasps before you knew it.
You felt hot, so hot in the cool air that surrounded you. Yet, the muffled moans of the snake demon below you, the way his tongue stuck out and his hips bucked weakly against you. It was a sight you wanted to last forever.
His dick had long came inside you: once, twice, more and more and more. You were filled with his seed, and your body craved more. Your pussy burned with passion as you felt Xiangliu's dick hardening after another load was weakly dumped into you.
Hours, almost hours, at least, you had been servicing him. He seemed to never run dry, and that was good enough for you. His cum served as your lube, his dick served as your toy, and his voice served as your music. You meeting the celestial realm with each bounce of your legs, each thrust of his hips. Your body ached from the work you putting him through, but it wasn't enough. Xiangliu was still able to move, and you needed him to finally feel the sensation of pure bliss and relaxation. Though...
You almost felt bad for the demon, how he writhed weakly and whimpered such lovely words.
"Hah, oh-- oh--Gods above--mng.."
You felt your clit twitch at his voice, Xiangliu's hands rubbing it expertly, giving you more sensation your body demanded.
Your breath shuddered as you continue to bounce on his cock, your walls rub raw, but you're not done yet.
"Once more, my dear." You lean forward, licking the shell of Xiangliu's ear, reveling in the way his breath shakes and his hips buck up again. "Cum for me one more time, with me."
Xiangliu's hands shook as they rubbed against your clit, you grin watching as his arms struggle to stay up.
The demon's hips thrust into you, a yelp escaping you as with a new burst of energy, Xiangliu's hands grab onto you for purchase, his body thrusting into you desperately. You moaned loudly, rocking your body in sync with his as the fire in you raises further and further.
You felt a snap in your core, a release as your partner groaned, gripping you into a tight hug as he poured into you. His body shook with the explosive climax, his breath nearly gasping for air as he fell back onto the bed, limp and clearly worn. Feeling his dick soften inside of you, you slowly lift yourself from him, feeling weak yet accomplished.
You carefully cleaned him up, making sure the bed wasn't too stained. It was something you both would deal with later. Xiangliu's breath evened out after a while, his eyes nearly glazed over his euphoria.
You slipped into bed, hugging him close to you as you smirk against him, knowing well his body wouldn't be able to move.

Status: IN-PROGRESS WITH CH1 Target Release Date: SOON IM COOKING SO HARD BUT THE GLAZE PROCESSING WILL TAKE SM TIME EVEN IF I FINISH IT WITHIN THIS WEEK
Main Tags

#khre - Posts related to KHRe:born's universe and related AUs.

Project KHRe(:born!!!)
@amiahoshi (Sou) and I decided to call the project "Katekyo Hitman Re:born!!!"*. We call it either Re:born!!! or KHRe for short. This is my main brainworm cultivating mega-project that has several sub-projects under it (including the webcomic). Anyway, read below for more details on this project!
*Note: Inspired from T/oky/o Gh/oul's title, where it had "T/G:re". And it really just emphasizes the "Re" in "Reborn", meaning "again, do over" - mainly since it's a retelling. MOST importantly...it's very easy to remember for me and my goldfish brain.
So far, the major ambitious projects I have under this are as follows:
Oniyanagi Wiki
This is a wiki site I made in Miraheze and I have already set it to public, so you can visit it through this link (or the one I linked above in the OC Profile section).
All characters/items/stories information related to KHRe is planned to be compiled here bit by bit, including certain canon characters (due to the inevitable canon divergence).
I learned a lot from making this wiki.
KHRe Webcomic
A webcomic that features KHRe's story. KHRe is sort of a similar universe to canon, but not exactly the same. There will be additional characters, which are our OCs, then there will also be modifications/additions to the story/lore as well (e.g. certain arcs/chapters will be rearranged, certain events will happen earlier).
Tsuna retains his protagonist role in KHRe as well (I'm so fond of him, my 2nd fave...), but he will also be joined in this role by the twin bosses from Oniyanagi, Kana and Kurumi.
Oniyanagi's full 10th Generation line-up can be found here.
Just like canon, it starts with Daily Life Arc. I will draw chapters for as far as I can get into the story. One of my main goals in making this webcomic (besides being able to draw both KHR and OC art at the same time) is to improve my art.
Into the Looking Glass
This is a Horror RPGMaker game that features a prequel story for KHRe through Kurumi's childhood (around 8-9 years old). Long story short, it does follow the classic formula of a kid exploring a scary place by themselves.
The title is very much still subject to change, but I referenced Alice in Wonderland for it. Because it's Baby Kurumi (Alice) stumbling in an otherworldly place (Wonderland) and the events that take place moving forward changes her life.
This will take a very long time to complete, but I wanna finish it eventually because I'm also a big fan of Horror RPGMaker games and I've always wanted to make one.
KHRe Test Game (no title yet)
Yes...that's right. I'm editing this now after three months and still no title. đ
This will be a very short RPGMaker Game with Tsuna as MC and it's definitely less ambitious than the previous two listed here. This is just me testing and learning the features of RPGMaker before I go do more work for Into the Looking Glass.
The game is just about Tsuna being invited to the Ninomiya Estate by Kurumi and he has a very "fun" time there đđâš (just like a normal Daily Life Arc episode~). It won't be horror, but maybe for Tsuna it will be đ.
Other Projects
As for other projects that are even more less ambitious and more doable in a shorter time, I do have MV Projects for KHRe plus a few shorts (like this one) I plan on drawing them in. I listed my priorities here (along with the major projects I mentioned) and will try to update when I can (at least monthly).
âââââââââââââââ â âââââââââââââââ
That's all for now! THANK YOU FOR COMING TO MY TED TALK! Any questions are always welcome and very very appreciated! đâšI really just love talking about this series, OCs and my projects. I will also continue to update this pinned post as I figure out my projects more.

I had the most awful night's sleep last night. I dreamt I was somewhere pitch-black and damp. Suddenly, I was a sea monster, and my impaled body was being driven into the ocean floor by the Geo Archon's polearm. I writhed around and clutched at the giant polearm made of rock, trying desperately to free myself, but it was wedged firmly in place. Each movement I made filled me with agony, and with rage... â diary of roald the adventurer, vol. 6
đđđđ đđđđăâ ăâââă[ TAKEN ] the feiyun commerce guild is sponsoring qixing-approved, supervised trips for visitors to spend a night at the fabled guyun stone forest, taking advantage of the lantern rite crowds to offer a glimpse into liyue's storied history and spread cultural understanding. owing to the popularity of certain light novels based off the recollections of one real traveler's journals, this has attracted many thrill-seekers and fright fanatics who are hoping to run into real ghosts of the ancient battle between the geo archon and the ancient sea monster, or hear echoes osial's death cries themselves.
i'd like to explore this plot with someone in a mini thread ; while the thread itself can be as short or long as we want, i'd like individual replies to stay within a 250 wc challenge to keep it moving ă
aventurine's interest in teyvat's gods stems from requiem, gh's first lore event, and he's been curious and nosy about looking into that kind of thing ever since ă
the idea i'd like to explore is that they're going in expecting to fall asleep and have vivid dreams / nightmares or something, or to hear and see ghostly occurrences in the area at night, but what actually happens is that after falling asleep, our muses wake up seemingly flashed 2,000 years to the past in the midst of the fateful battle at this location ă
what we do from there can be pretty flexible, and i'd like to hear your ideas on what would be most fun for you: we can keep the actual " time travel " section fairly short, more of a brief shared vision, and focus more on them waking up and processing what they experienced ; we can have our muses embodied in rex lapis and osial in the past and essentially be unable to control themselves acting out a scripted fight that ends with osial's imprisonment ; or we can spend more time in the flashback itself and do something more involved with them trapped 2,000 years in the past ă
on aventurine's side, i'd like to use this thread as a means for exploring the age of divine conflict in teyvat and the ways it mirrors ( and the ways it doesn't ) the impending war of aeons in hsr as well as the history of aeons fighting and subsuming one another, continuing thought on what it's like for gods to be at war and to die or be subjugated by other gods, thus losing their place in history, etc. let me know what you'd like to get out of it or if you have any angles you'd like to use this prompt to explore!

A3! Main Story: Part 4 - Act 14: DREAM CATCHER - Episode 33: Ibuki Enters Their Acting Era
Tenma: You said you had no interest in acting, what wind of change blew your way?
Ibuki: Long story short⊠Your performance was SO interesting!
Kumon: Eh?
Ibuki: When I watched the stream, I thought there was nothing interesting about theater, but thatâs not the case at all.
Ibuki: Once I realized the impact IRL performances have, I couldnât stay out of it.
Ibuki: Since itâs this interesting, I wanna try it myself.
Ibuki: I was thinking that I wanna entertain everyone not only as an influencer, but also as an actor.
Ibuki: Also, I know I said theater companies seem like a hassle, but seeing the Summer Troupe kinda made me think thatâs not the case.
Ibuki: ⊠So, I figured Iâd call out to this guy. He said heâs looking for members, and I thought I could do it if itâs with him.
Towa: ⊠Yup!
Yuki: You sure changed gears fast.
Ibuki: Hesitatingâs a waste of time. TLDR: Looking forward to working with yâall!
Towa: Looking forward to working with you!
Kumon: Ohhh, hohoo. Likewise!
Muku: Looking forward to working with you!
Misumi: Have fun acting~!
Tenma: Theaterâs even more fun when you do it yourself, so prepare yourselves.
Sakuya: Welcome to the world of theater!
Izumi: The sudden notice was quite a surprise, but congratulations on finding your first member, Towa-kun.
Kazunari: Congrats~
Towa: Thank you very much!
Towa: I still need two more, though. We canât start anything if I donât find themâŠ
Ibuki: Ehh? That so?
Sakuya: Wouldnât it be a good idea for you two to discuss how to go about recruiting more members? Having another person with you is always reassuring.
Towa: Yes!
Izumi: Eat up, you two. Weâve got lots of potatoes, Ibuki-kun.
Ibuki: Yay! Potatoes! Thanks for the meeaal.
Towa: Weâve still got a long way to go, but⊠Weâve made a step forward.
Sakuya: Do your best!
-
Tenma: Is it time?
Misumi: One minute left to the ranking updateâŠ
Yuki: Seems like getting in will be a pain again.
Kazunari: Theyâve probs taken some precautions this time.
Izumi: Kamikizaka-san wouldnât let that slide, after all.
Kumon: Ah, itâs updated!
Misumi: MANKAI Company isâŠ
Kazunari: 20th!
Kumon: Letâs gooo! Weâre higher than before!
Muku: Thank goodnessâŠ!
Tenma: We get to pass the baton. Though, honestly, Iâd have preferred if we had ranked even higher.
Yuki: The top ranks consist mostly of famous theater companies. Moving up the ranks will probably not be as easy from now on.
Izumi: Despite that, weâve managed to go up 10 ranks, thatâs an amazing feat!
Misumi: Today we celebrate~!
Izumi: (If we can keep raising our ranking like this, the New Fleur Award might be within reachâŠ!)
-
[Hit]
Rough-looking guy: âUgh!
???: Does it hurt? I bet it does. So?
Vulgar young man I-Iâm really sorryâŠ
???: That's it.
Vulgar young man: âgh
[The guy collapses]
???: ⊠Comm's done and over with.
[Phone notification blip]
???: âŠ

Nalini Chat w/ Ali Hazelwood
Some highlights from her chat today with Ali hosted by East City Bookshop.
she's currently writing the next Guild Hunter novel
Q: what is special about this book in the series for you? A: This book is really about family and I think it's been a big thing throughout the series from the beginning. it felt like the right time in the timeline for this book to happen. Prepare to be emotionally destroyed. She cried writing it. It's a book about family and who we are and those who make us and influence our lives. There is joy! Really important book int he series because it closes a lot of loops which is important to move forward.
Q: what is it like to go back to raphael and elena after writing books about other characters? A: It doesn't feel weird going back because they're always part of the books regardless of who we're focusing on. It's this massive world and we just went and visited someone else. -they're the heart of the series. No matter where else we go they exist and are part of it in some way.
Q: When you weren't writing them did you miss them? A: She does. The newsletter shorts are because she does miss them and writes for them when it's not their book. "I write my own fan fiction"
Q: Shorts in a collection? A: yeah, if there was enough desire for it. She would go ahead and do that. She'll add it to the to do list and poll people if there is a want.
Q: What does she feel about werewolves lore in general since they're closest to changelings. A: Would have been writing werewolf fan fiction had she known about it online. The only thing she didn't like was that they don't want to be werewolves.
Q: What you have written has influenced a generation of writters, how does that feel knowing you have been so impactful on the lives of so many people? A: It's weird. It's a continuous timeline and you just go book to book without realizing the passage of time. Didn't set in until she got her 20 years in the publishing industry anniversary. It's startling. Her hero is Anne Mcarthy and for someone to think of her in the same way is wild.
Q: is it difficult to write a highly anticipated character/pairing? A: She's obsessed with them already for a while before introducing them. You really have to go into your own head and block out what people are expecting. That's the only way it'll be her own.
Q: Does it ever happen that you annoy yourself with your slowburn? A: "I do and then i write it and release it 10 years later."
Q: Is Raphael's father going to come back? A: "Well, he's dead."
Q: who is your favorite young character? A: Really like writing all the kids. They're hilarious and fun to write. Really loves Izzy and wants to protect him the little baby angel. Curious to see who he'll be when he gets older with all these influences around him.
-Thought she would write a book about Elena's sisters but they appear a lot in Lineage and it closes up their stories enough that there is resolution and she won't be writing their own story.
-The series is slowly (slowly) wrapping up. It was always based around elena and raphael and it should end where it makes sense. not drag it out
-Possible she might do some novellas because there are things that can't be wrapped up in the books. Will absolutely keep writing shorts and adding them to the newsletter.
Q: Is there another series in the works for when GH is over? A: Has an idea for a book she'd like to write but won't know if it's a series until it's written.
Q: Are we getting more of Illium and Aodhan? A: It's the next book. it's a different book than Light. There's still some emotional stuff to take care of. There are also major changes in the world. get to see more of the other characters with them. The cover should match the Light one, complimentary.

GH 0 ST IN THE MACHINE
ok so dropping the goner idea. instead, there's the original DT extractor. (IIRC Dr.Alphys says she used blueprints to rebuild the machine. what happened to the original extractor? well, we'll now find out in chapter 3!)
It's going to be a lot for Frisk to handle, I'll say that. the fight is still focused on Frisk. The boss fight will be short and intense but rich in the overall experience. It's LOUD. it's (hopefully) UNNERVING. it'll be Fun.
anyway, my goal for the story is not to have Gaster directly involved but that doesn't mean I can't toy with all his gadgets! I'll be playing with ambiguity but the horror is all too tangible.

In defense of Lucy Maclean's character...
kinda baffling to me that lucy is treated as a background character in her own show or, if not that, one half of a pairing. both of which i dislike; vaultknight because the writers did such a poor job of building organic chemistry between the two and gh/oulcy bc cooper is 240 years old, likely smells like pure bumhole and basically waterboarded her.
the fanbase treating the main female lead as this one dimensional being is really depressing to watch...
I can delve into more detailed analysis but Lucy as a character tugs on my heart strings and I seldom see people appreciate how impactful she is to the story and how much individual development she goes through in such a short time span.

The Sunnydale Herald Newsletter, Tuesday, December 17
Oz: You're worried about her. Willow: Yeah, both of them. I mean, what kind of demon runs around putting ookie blood dreams into people's heads. Like some kind of nightmare fairy. It's not right. Oz: Well, I'm against it. Willow: And Buffy's completely being not herself. If it wasn't for this English paper I'd be there right now. Um, listening. Doing the girly best friend thing. Oz: Well, I can do that. Willow: You can? Oz: Well, I'm not saying we'll braid each others hair--probablyâbut I can hang with her, watch for signs she's going over the edge.

Iâve been trying to write an hour or so sprints the past 2 weeks, not just on GH Day, & I just remembered once again how much writing moves me.
I often think about why people read my fanfics when my English wasnât so good back then, & I guess I can partly understand it. I guess my love for writing shows so much? When I started rereading my fanfics, despite the embarrassment at the bad grammar or English usage mistakes, I found how far I really went into plotting despite actually having less time w/ school & work back then. I dared to write despite knowing that itâs not perhaps my best work.
I guess, in short, I could tell I poured my heart into these fanfics despite not being the most easy to read, & I guess thatâs a feat in itself? I also wrote stuff that I now find actually make the stories unpredictable for readers, w/o totally intending it to lol Examples of that is definitely parts of Reminiscence, most of Dollmaker, parts of Naruâs Moving Castle, Cloud, & the one-shot, The Idiot Scientist. Infinity also has some of these parts, especially chapter 3, from the ones released.
Reading my past writing really just makes me reflect about how hard I worked on stuff that I couldnât believe I had written this or that before. This isnât to flex lol Because my writing was definitely still mediocre, but it was also exciting to reread despite the bad English. And Iâm glad that it moved readers despite my problems in writing. That people still reviewed despite such problems.
I guess Iâm really just amazed people read my stories even when there are better written ones out there.

Please please please give me all the information you can about Gabriel, the paralels, the wording. The pratchettery of their existence. Everything!!! The way You point out things it's literally AWESOME
Hi there, @gh-0-sties-blog! đ Thank you so much for the kind words. They brightened up my day. đ*whips you up a hot chocolate for your reading*
Below are a few of the metas I've written that either entirely focus on or heavily feature Jim, short for James, long for The Archangel Fucking Gabriel. Big Jimbriel fan, me, so if you stick around these parts, you'll inevitably get some more neato and keen posts about him.
On Gabriel's jogging habit, clothes rebellion & body image stuff
On Gabriel & Beez being as trapped as C&A & the "shut your stupid mouth and die already" scene (please scroll down-- it's posted as a reply, not an original post) .
The Devil Takes the Hindmost What I think S2 is all about. It gets into quite a lot of Jim while discussing Aziraphale. Also a lot of Muriel in here, if you're a Muriel fan (and who isn't?) đ
A look at Aziraphale & the books in 1941 by way of his parallels to Gabriel (this is as much an Ineffable Bureaucracy post as it is Ineffable Husbands)
On Gabriel being an example of following Agnes Nutter's prophecy of Armageddon successfully vs. Aziraphale not remembering it in S2
On Jim sorting books
This meta about God in Good Omens gets into how different parts of Gabriel's story in S2 could be supporting ideas about it
On the paralleling scenes involving... turtlenecks
Gabriel w/The Final 15 Clue back in 2.01
Tiny thing on Jim's use of 1950s-era slang
And, finally, not a meta so much as, like, two sentences but some wordplay fun: Jim-Jams
Let the meta reading commence!

14 . . . alfons main story
ê° ÖŽ Öș âč @ notice âč Öș ÖŽ ê± this translation may not be 100% accurate or contain creative liberties due to characterization or narrative flow purposes. if you enjoy, please consider reblogging, but donât repost these or claim these as your own!
â cw: depiction of fire.
Kate: It seems like... I have fallen for you.
When I murmured this, though...
Alfons: ...Well that is nothing short of a nuisance.
When I heard an answer that shouldnât have come, I let out a gasp.
Kate: Alfo... w-wait, you were awake...!?
Just a moment ago, his steady breathing indicated he had been asleep, but now his eyes were open, and in those ashy gray eyes,
a hint of exasperation seeped its way in.
Alfons: So you say you âhave fallenâ for me... it seems this has taken a rather troublesome turn.
While sitting up in a languid motion, Alfons combed his fingers through his hair.
Alfons: Whatever youâre feeling, itâs nothing but a delusion, Iâd say. A hallucination.
A: You simply happened to be saved while you were in a pickle by a man who had given you pleasure, mixing that up for feelings of romance, no?
Kate: Did you just say I was âmixing that upâ...?
(How dare he say that when he knows nothing about the feelings Iâve been going through before I came to his room...)
I felt blood rise to my head then.
Kate: ...For the record, I donât really mind if you donât give me an answer...
K: But I sure would appreciate it if you didnât act as though you know what Iâm feeling...!
Alfons: ...And how would you know if something like feelings, which bear no tangible form, is really there?
His fingers made their way to my chin...
Kate: T-that...
Alfons: ...Yes, go on?
...and when he pulled on it, I felt his breath tickle my lips,
causing my body to throb involuntarily in anticipation.
It seemed like Alfons had expected this reaction, as a smile played on his lips.
Alfons: Until you realize you are mistaken, Iâll be keeping all things pleasure behind closed doors, alright?
A: Were I to touch you in such a way... Iâm sure I would only end up feeding into such delusions, anyhow.
Kate: ...gh.
Alfons: Alright, enough of that. Would you care to let an injured person like myself rest some more now?
His hand let go of me just like that, and he distanced himself, no longer bothering to touch me further.
He refused to listen to a word I had to say, even though he was the one who had reached out to me so persistently in the first place.
(I knew it would come to this, and yet...)
The pain in my heart was cruel.
It hurt so much, I could hardly bear it.
Kate: ...I... I understand. Have a good night...
I left the room as if running away, the door closing with a bang that rang loud and clear.
Alfons: ...Hehe.
A: I actually do like you a lot myself as well.
A: But thatâs why... it would be best if this all remained a delusion.
ââHis whispers, having no way of reaching anyone else, simply dissipated in the air.
ââ Time skip ââ
Based on the information Alfons and I gleaned from having infiltrated the hotel that was exclusively for members of the âpurificationâ club,
the name Lord Goa, a member of the parliament, came up as someone heavily involved in the incidents that had occurred in the East End.
With that, William and Victor were able to perform a thorough investigation on him and his faction.
Victor: ââIn regards to the âconfidentialâ letter in question, inside was a check to a company with phenomenal business conditions.
Before the members of Crown gathered in the dining room, Victor shared the details surrounding the current circumstances.
Victor: As for the contents of the check itself, there werenât any problems.
V: That said, though, itâs fully possible this is compensation for those who will carry out their plan to set fire to the Docklands.
William: This company that handles the flow of money has long been marked as a front company, very likely connected to a criminal organization.
Alfons: In other words, it was a blatant distraction, yes?
(But, even if we know that...)
Kate: I take it this check alone wouldnât be enough evidence to be able to dispatch the police, right...?
Harrison: Yeah, seems right.
H: It isnât enough to prove the âplan to commit arsonâ itself is in the works, nor does it prove that Lord Goa is a part of it.
H: And even if the recipient company of the check were involved in the plan, it seems nigh impossible theyâd believe us with just this.
Victor: That is all true. But, you see, Kate, itâs exactly for times like these that we are here.
V: In order to protect the prosperity of England, we âuse evil to condemn evilâââsuch is our motto here in Crown.
Hearing Victorâs words, my head shot up.
Victor: I bring you an order from Her Majesty the Queen.
V: âStop the arson incident in the Docklands, and condemn the faction of the âpurificationâ club which Lord Goa is a part of.â
His jewel-like eyes, filled with a darkness more deep than the dark itself, glimmered with a bewitching light... and it sent shivers up my spine.
Victor: ââBy the way, Alfons.
All of a sudden, Victor turned to look at Alfons.
Victor: How is that wound from yesterdayâs mission faring?
Alfons: I simply found myself a tad too caught up in a practical prank and made a blunder, if you will.
Kate: Whâno, that wound is...
[1] I should be the one taking responsibility.
[2] He covered for me. (+4 / +4)
[3] ... (stay silent)
Kate: He ended up covering for me, so...
Alfons: I just so happened to be in a position to block the bullet.
(As if. Thereâs no way Alfons just âhappenedâ to be there when he was in the inner part of the room right before he was shot.)
(And he is still covering for me, so as to not make my situation worse.)
(And yet, he distances himself like thatâŠ)
I wish he wouldnât be so kind, and yet I couldnât help but feel happy too.
(âŠHe is a liar, and a cruel person to boot, through and through.)
As ordered by Victor, the ones who were going to carry out this mission were:
Alfons, Lord Elbert, Roger, and for some odd reason, Jude and Ellis.
Victor: When it comes to the Ports of London, Jude is the one whoâs most familiar with that area, I take it?
Jude: âŠHah, ya can bet yer bottle Iâm the most familiar outta this bunch.
Victor: And Kate? Do you think youâll be able to go with?
V: I imagine going on missions day after day would tire you out, so donât push yourself.
Kate: âŠNo, itâs fine. This is my responsibility as fairytale keeper, so Iâll go with.
(âŠI truly am a fool, arenât I.)
Here I was, going on about how itâs my âresponsibilityâ and whatnot, but my true feelings laid elsewhere.
(Even though Alfons does nothing but push me away⊠I donât want to take my eyes off of him.)
After all, I had thought to myself that if I wasnât looking at him, he would end up just up and disappearing somewhere.
(âŠAnd this feeling, just as Alfons said,)
(was a delusionââthatâs how it needed to be, and yetâŠ)
ââNow that I had realized my feelings for him, I had no way of knowing how to bury this love to the grave.
In the Docklands, illegal immigrants were going to be punished by an âeternal fire.â
On the night the plan was going to take placeâŠ
Dirtied man: Whoâs there!?
The silhouettes who were squirming about in the darkness of the port city made a stir upon the sudden arrival of visitors.
Jude: How goes it, ya lot? Weâll be here a while.
Ellis: Iâd say there are aroundââseven? If I had to guess.
Dirtied man: Tch, they said if there are any witnesses the rewardâs as good as gone. Get âem!
The men who had seemingly been spreading oil around wielded weapons and ganged up, lunging for the two.
Jude: Hah, swinginâ around those steel pipes⊠how ya all pulled the short end of the stick, not even gettinâ yer hands a gun.
Dirtied man: Wah!? W-what theâ!?
Just when I thought Ellis jumped high enough to be above their heads,
the menâs wrists seemed to become bound by a rope unseen to the naked eye, restraining them.
Dirtied man: W-what the hell did you do!?
Ellis: Shh, quiet down a little⊠we donât want to disturb the neighbors.
Jude: If ya lot were gonna be playinâ with fire for some bees and honey, ya may as well have all hit the hay instead, ainât that right?
With that, Jude poked the restrained menâs foreheads with his index finger.
And the next moment, the men, who had just been shouting, collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
Kate: âŠI take it those were their abilities?
Elbert: Thatâs right⊠Ellis has the ability to restrain the movements of those whose head he touches. And Jude can put others to sleep by touching their forehead.
Alfons: What a golden pair for interrogation and assassination, dare I say.
Jude had said, âIf I wanted to get rid of illegal immigrants, Iâd aim here,â while marking down some places,
namely a corner of a residential area, an alleyway that lined the pubs, and the port city, and so Crown went to detain the to-be arsonists without a hitch.
(And this is the last place Jude had marked.)
(It would be nice if we could stop the incidents altogether thoughâŠ)
Elbert: How is the perimeter looking, Roger?
Roger: âŠTwo blocks away, thereâs one at four oâclock.
Elbert: Their companion, perhaps?
Roger: Nah, I doubt it. It sounds pretty darn suspicious⊠and itâs heading straight this way.
Alfons: Coming to see whatâs going on after hearing something suspicious is very much a foolâs errand, is it not.
A: Do leave this careless, poor witness in my care.
Saying that, Alfons left the storage room.
(ââ!)
ââ Scene change; outside ââ
While hiding myself in the shadows, I peeked outsideâŠ
Alfons: Good evening to you. What a lovely night it is, no?
âŠwhere I found Alfons, who had just discreetly touched the back of what seemed to be the witnessâ neck.
Alfons: âYou saw nothing that went down here. You are on your way home, dearly needing some sleep.â
I could hear how his whispers resembled that of a lullaby as they rode the zephyr of the night.
(He could have shown them something to scare them, or threaten them away, and yet...)
Whenever he used his ability, he always spoke words that calmed the heart.
(And if I asked him why that is... Iâm sure he would say something along the lines of âit would be a load of trouble if they made too much noise.â)
ââ Scene change; storage room ââ
Alfons: Goodness gracious... I would have preferred them to choose a less conspicuous place at the very least.
By the time Alfons returned, Jude and the others had tied the perpetrators up with a rope.
Kate: ...I guess with this, we managed to stop the incident.
Spreading the map with the marks open, I made sure we didnât miss any spots before letting out a sigh in relief.
Roger: Well, thatâs assuming Jude hasnât missed a place.
Jude: The hell ya gettinâ at?
Roger: And Iâm going to make sure the number of people here match up with the heartbeats Iâm hearingââ
Just when Roger interrupted over Jude...
Kate: !?
Along with an explosion, a flame started from within the storage room.
The fire crawled outward on the floor, the heat burning my skin.
(W-why all of a sudden...!? I thought we had all of the perpetratorsââ)
Alfons: It would appear the oil scattered all over the ground has vaporized and some sparks have ignited this.
Kate: D-did you just say âsome sparksâ!?
Roger: As curious as that is, first things first, we gotta put out the fire. Elbie, letâs bring over the fire extinguisher from the carriage.
Elbert: On it.
Jude: Tch, there ainât nothing worth more trouble than these scumbags burninâ to smithereens before makinâ them spit out the tea.
Ellis: Jude and I will take the perpetrators out of here.
Making quick judgments about their current situation, the members of Crown started to move.
(I should help where I can as well...)
The next moment, I tried to run as though being struck by something, when...
(ââHuh?)
What I saw before my eyes was an unbelievable sight, causing my feet to stay rooted in its spot.
Alfons: Kate, if you inhale any more smoke, you may end up burning your lungs. So if you could move a bit moreââ
Kate: Wait just a minute! Over there...!
Beyond the burning flames, when I squinted my eyes...
There, I saw a young boy crouched on the floor, his face filled with fear.
Alfons: ...Ahh, so thatâs how it is.
A: It would seem while all his friends were captured, he was hiding with a bated breath, I reckon.
Kate: W-when you say âfriendsâ...
K: Are you insinuating he was directly involved in executing the arson...!?
Alfons: Have a look at the boyâs feet.
When I did, I saw that scattered about his feet, illuminated by the flames, were what appeared to be matchboxes.
Alfons: That boy is said âsparks.â
A: I reckon he was hiding in the shadows, biding the right time.
(But why would such a child... no, I donât have time to think about such things.)
(Right now, somehow saving him takes priority...!)
Kate: Stay right there! And be sure to stay low and try not to inhale the fumes...!
Alfons: ......... [surprised]
(At this rate the fire will block the way out... but if he jumps in just like that, heâll suffer from severe burns.)
(Iâll need to somehow open a path for him to escape through...)
When I looked around my surroundings, my eyes stopped on some sandbags that were piled atop one another adjacent to the storage room.
(That will do...!)
Kate: ...gh!
I jumped straight in, somehow managing to hold the heavy sandbags and throwing them amid the flames.
Then I ran back, lifting up another sandbag.
(Urgh, itâs so heavy...)
Alfons: What in the world are you doing?
Alfons crouched down beside me, meeting my eyes.
Kate: That child might not make it by the time we can put out the fire with an extinguisher.
K: So I thought to stack these sandbags to create an escape route...
Alfons: The one who started this fire was none other than that child, you know.
Kate: Yes, but... this and that are two different things!
Alfons: ......... [surprised]
A: ...haa.
A: Just what am I to do with such a straightforward one like yourself?
(Ah...)
He let out an exasperated laugh before he took the sandbag from me before throwing it into the flames.
(Alfons...)
Alfons: Letâs get it together now. The boy wonât be living through this if you stand so idle.
And so, we carried the sandbags, trying our best to go back and forth,
when Roger and Lord Elbert came running while carrying the fire extinguisher from the carriage, starting to spray the vicinity around the sandbags.
ââAnd at last, albeit small, we managed to make a path he could escape through.
Kate: Itâs fine now! So come this way!
Young boy: ...
The boy, whose face was filled with fear still, stayed crouching down, trembling.
Alfons: Heâs not coming, is he. Perhaps fear has him paralyzed?
Kate: If thatâs the case, we have to go and get him...!
But the moment I tried to run in, he grabbed my arms from behind.
Kate: WhâAlfons...!?
Alfons: Goodness...
Pushing me behind him, Alfons jumped into the fire through the small escape route,
and as though he were taking a stroll, he walked over to the young boy with light stepsââand touched the back of his neck.
Alfons: Come now... âyou feel neither the fear nor the heat.â
Young boy: ...gh...! ...?
The fear vanished from the boyâs face, replaced by a puzzled expression.
While holding the boy in his arms, Alfons returned with the same light steps he had went in with.
Alfons: Here you are. A delivery for a most good-natured little robin.
Kate: ...Everythingâs alright now.
Young boy: huhu... waaah!
Perhaps he had felt so much fear, but it seemed the illusion cast upon his heart that he âwasnât scaredâ had quickly worn off,
and the young boy burst into tears in my arms.
ââ Scene change; lounge ââ
Apparently, that young boy had been living in poverty, and having been deceived by some bad adults, he was made to take part in this evil plot.
According to Rogerâs examination, the young boy suffered from minor injuries. It was then decided that he would be transferred to a special ward in the Royal Hospital to recover.
(Thank goodness...)
Fatigue hit me right after relief, and my body, feeling heavy, sunk into the sofa like a boat.
Kate: What a long night itâs been...
Alfons, too, sat down in a place a little ways away from me.
Alfons: Good lord, I donât even remember the last time I was subjected to such physical labor.
A: And now thanks to that, Iâve been rendered sore left and right.
Kate: Hm...? Is it really alright for you not to go, Alfons?
K: Just now, everyone else said they were going to interrogate the perpetrators...
Alfons: Such things are better left in the hands of those who know how to best â namely Jude and the others.
With a dismissive wave, Alfons laughed.
And all of a sudden, I remembered the way his back was lit up by the flames as he ran for the young boy.
Kate: And thank you... for saving that child.
K: It made me really happy.
K: But... I also had a feeling you would help anyhow as well.
Hearing my words after the âbut,â Alfons laughed, as though fed up.
Alfons: In the face of how oppressive your sense of justice was, I ended up doing what I did... but now regret is starting to plague me.
A: How I wish I could catch the look of despair on your face upon the realization the boy couldnât be saved after all.
(I long knew those were not his true feelings.)
Kate: ...So you say, but then you go and show illusions because you canât stand seeing such a face.
Alfons: I see nothing can convince you otherwise.
Kate: Yes, because to me, that is the âtruth.â
I quite enjoyed the exchanges he and I shared that resembled something like banter, or perhaps just messing around in good fun.
ââHaving only realized this now, I felt a pang in my heart once again.
(I knew it, I really do like Alfons.)
(...Thereâs no way I can simply play it off as a delusion.)
Alfons: .........
He spared me a glance before he stood from his seat.
(Heâs running away again.)
With such a hunch, my body started to move.
Alfons: Now then... I think Iâll go have a drink or two.
Kate: If thatâs so, I will too.
I stood up and took a step, closing a bit of the distance between us.
Kate: Please take me with you.
