So, this is the part where I need to restrain myself because I don't want to get all overconfident and not deliver on all of the branching. Here are my current ideas:

Circus -> Talent Stats:

Aerialist -> Singer

Acrobat -> Dancer

Clown -> Actor

Juggler -> Musician

It would take longer to code, but I could try to write it so that the circus talent and present talent stats can be chosen separately, and certain choices simply pair better together. But in my head, I don't know how much sense that makes because of how MC was well-known at the circus for that one main talent. So them suddenly switching to another feels kind of messy and illogical?

Hello anon!! I'll probably add additional details later, but I used some pictures to try and convey the overall vision I have for everyone (these aren't their canon FCs or anything I couldn't find a one-to-one ratio for all of them based on their given descriptions). I don't have official visuals with them just yet because I want to avoid making AI portraits, and I haven't found a Picrew with the more gritty/realistic style I want also I can't draw but hopefully someday I can commission artists to help out!

ALSO, I'm aware some of these hairstyles are not historically accurate. I also know that beauty standards have changed over the years so what was attractive then isn't necessarily attractive now. Since this takes place in an alternate universe, my explanation is going to be that the "traditional hairstyles" of the time are for more formal/official settings, but they have their own preferences for how they like to wear their hair in their free time (like a stylized modern interpretation similar to what Bridgerton does).

Ofc they wouldn't cause MC pain unless they like that sort of thing agufgwfu but they're probably gonna find a wall or something to bend them over and everything else has to wait rip #horniestcoupleofthe1920s

Samuel/Samantha "Sam" Kaminski (THE BOSS) - Sam has an astounding amount of self-control. Some of it is due to their noble background forcing them to be more restrained, and some of it is due to life experience like running a covert business. But even if MC is the one teasing them, they'll find that Sam is an even bigger tease, especially out of spite. Eventually, they'd probably come up behind MC and whisper something sensually into their ear like "You must be more patient than that, darling."

Hendrik/Helena Rietveld (THE BODYGUARD) - H can't tell whether they should love or hate MC at the moment. They will remain as still as a statue, perfectly poised and professional. But believe me when I say that they will glare. Two pools of amber burning a hole with their gaze alone. Before they can get alone time with MC, there would be many efforts for soft touches or caresses (escorting them out of places, holding their weapons for them, etc.)

Jesse Lê (THE FRIEND DETECTIVE) - THEY WOULD GET SO FLUSTERED AAAAAAH poor bby :( they would be all blushy and stumble over their words and try to leave the situation as inconspicuously as possible (mission failed detective). It also depends on who they're around. If it's their colleagues, they'll be confused as to why their serious colleague is like...this. But if it's the rest of the gang, they'll smirk knowingly like "Oh this is MC's doing AGAIN--"

Aww tysm, I'm so glad 🥺🫶🏽 I took a long time answering this because I was trying reaaally hard to pick and choose what I say without spoiling anything (a theme on this blog unfortunately 😭) I can tell you five things though! Make of them what you will:

MC is ethnically part [Italian, Irish, Jewish] and choosing one will have an impact your backstory and interactions with some of the characters

They have a strong eye for detail (a skill garnered from their life of traveling) and are skilled at differentiating between cheap and expensive products

MC is canonically agnostic

Children & Animals are either really fond of/at ease around MC or they're unsettled/downright terrified of them. They're rarely indifferent

Their signature scent is a mix of fruit, floral, and spice (these are the main primary aromas, but you can choose the specifics as you see fit for your MC!)

They act absolutely insane, that's what. The moment they realize they have feelings for MC, they're determined to be with them forever as A feels love very intensely. Sometimes, this makes people walk on eggshells around MC because they don't want to get A's attention and get dumped on the side of the road like trash 😭 Their approach would be stare "opponent" into submission -> verbal intimidation -> and then physical intimidation if they were in the mood (they may jump around if the other person really gets on their nerves)

Samuel/Samantha "Sam" Kaminski (THE BOSS) - 6/10

I would say Sam is more protective than jealous, so it can go either way depending on who the third wheel is. They wouldn't get into a relationship with someone they wouldn't trust, and they have a lot of self-respect so they wouldn't be too worried about MC leaving them. There is something about themselves that makes them especially vulnerable at the thought of a certain type of people that can "steal" MC away from them but that veers into spoiler territory. But yeah, if they were jealous, they would act casual and pretend like those feelings didn't exist (that would make them appear weak and Sam can't have THAT) so they would introduce themselves to the other person to make things VERY clear

Hendrik/Helena Rietveld (THE BODYGUARD) - 9.5/10

H avoided being in romantic relationships due to their past, so the idea of finally opening themselves up to that possibility with MC is very daunting. This opens up the fear of MC leaving them for someone who is more emotionally available or easier to love. Regardless, they would be very upfront about their jealousy to MC at least, but they would also make it clear that the other person should back off through their tone of voice or intimidating body posture. It's subtle, but it delivers the message. H would be more direct as their relationship becomes more established/well-known to the public

Jesse Lê (THE FRIEND DETECTIVE) - 8/10

Oh Jesse 😭 They feel so so guilty because in their eyes, they abandoned their closest friend when they needed them the most. So the fact that they even get the chance to be with MC is like a divine blessing. I wouldn't say they're jealous, but rather envious because it would be easy for them to justify why the other person is better suited to be with MC more than they are. Like an Oh this sucks but what else did I expect to happen :/ (Unrequited Jesse x MC angst anyone?)

To keep it short and non-spoilery, their very existence. It poses a threat to their legacy, at least, that's what they've been told growing up. It's not path-specific in that A will automatically despise MC regardless of their personality.
