So, this is the part where I need to restrain myself because I don't want to get all overconfident and not deliver on all of the branching. Here are my current ideas:

Circus -> Talent Stats:

It would take longer to code, but I could try to write it so that the circus talent and present talent stats can be chosen separately, and certain choices simply pair better together. But in my head, I don't know how much sense that makes because of how MC was well-known at the circus for that one main talent. So them suddenly switching to another feels kind of messy and illogical?

Hello anon!! I'll probably add additional details later, but I used some pictures to try and convey the overall vision I have for everyone (these aren't their canon FCs or anything I couldn't find a one-to-one ratio for all of them based on their given descriptions). I don't have official visuals with them just yet because I want to avoid making AI portraits, and I haven't found a Picrew with the more gritty/realistic style I want also I can't draw but hopefully someday I can commission artists to help out!

ALSO, I'm aware some of these hairstyles are not historically accurate. I also know that beauty standards have changed over the years so what was attractive then isn't necessarily attractive now. Since this takes place in an alternate universe, my explanation is going to be that the "traditional hairstyles" of the time are for more formal/official settings, but they have their own preferences for how they like to wear their hair in their free time (like a stylized modern interpretation similar to what Bridgerton does).

Howdy Anon!! It's going pretty swell so far, thanks for asking! And ofc it's okay to ask about RO-related stuff! I think most people have sent me asks about RO facts specifically, but tbh I love getting any kind of ask so I'm not super restrictive (unless they're spoilers ofc but I'd let you know in that case)

Hmmmm for the slowburn question I would say:

(most slowburn) S -> H -> J -> A (least slowburn)

But I feel like a more accurate answer would be S & H have more of a slow-burn while J & A have less of a slow-burn! I wanted there to be a balance <3

I feel bad saying I have a favorite 😭 because I genuinely love all of them very much (whoever I'm writing for in that moment becomes my favorite if that makes sense). But I will say H had an unfair advantage at first because they're modelled based after two of my Desi characters of all time (Doran and Amala my darlings). But in all honesty, all of the ROs are inspired by my faves one way or another so none of the routes are going to be put at a disadvantage :)

I mentioned before that S has a deep love for all forms of art, but they have a preference for more intangible works. Like singing, dancing, acting, etc. There are obviously ways to immortalize those performances, but it's not really the same as witnessing it in person, is it? It feels more special to them in a way, like the artist is personally baring their soul for the audience

S is known for having a rigorous and unconventional interview process when hiring for the Spotlight Syndicate (really just in general)

They have a sweet tooth! They especially love desserts that involve jam/jelly like pastries

Before arriving to the US, they spent a lot of time traveling with their father on work trips

They prefer everything they own to be unique and/or subvert expectations. They're very particular about the way they're perceived, and likes making trends rather than merely following them

Of all the ROs, I would say they have the healthiest relationship with their parents. It wasn't perfect, but S wasn't sheltered from the harsh realities of the world like other noble heirs. They were still doted on though (especially as an only child)

S was kind of a wild child when they were younger, which surprises a lot of people since they're so mature now. They were just so enthusiastic about life and wanted to experience the world all at once y'know?

They're fluent in 7 languages! English, Latin, Hungarian, German, Polish, Russian, and Italian

To the surprise of nobody, they had a lot of suitors ask for their hand, and I mean a lot. But S rejected all of them 😭 This lowkey pissed their parents off, but S was always like "You never raised me to lower my standards for anyone" and they never had an adequate retort for that imo

S has a deep love and respect towards all forms of art (that's an understatement btw their home is practically a museum)

They came from a very big family (since they lived surrounded by all of their extended family). H's immediate family consisted of their parents, three younger sisters, and two younger brothers

H is an incredible chef and can make a variety of amazing dishes! You'll be fed without a doubt, there's no skipping meals around them

Ironically, the mundane makes them uneasy. Wdym there's no one who's going to break down the door and ruin their life? It's always safer to be prepared for impending doom, is it not??

They don't like mincing words. H knows when to remain tactfully silent but if you ask for their opinion, it will be an honest one

H is really protective of people/animals/things that can't defend themselves or are taken advantage of. It really grinds their gears (is that the correct expression??). They'd kill multiple people to save a dog or elephant, for instance, without any hesitation. I really really want to code it so that if you're on the "America's Sweetheart" path, they naturally open up to/trust you more so hopefully Twine can cooperate with mee

Jesse was MC's closest friend back when they were at the circus, arguably one of their only friends since people tended to be jealous of the talented starling. The crew traveled a lot, and Jesse had an idea to make a bouquet of flowers from every area they performed in as a birthday gift!

Based on their vibes, you would likely think Jesse is super organized (they really try I swear) but their work desk is a MESS. It's a miracle they're able to solve any case with how many files or stationery they have scattered around. I swear in a modern AU they'd need a Marie Kondo STAT

They love beaches so much, it's where they feel most at peace with themselves. One of their favorites would be the Corsica beach near their childhood estate

A is a lot of things, but they are not lazy, and they don't associate with people who lack ambition. Anyone who implies otherwise likely has a death wish

They love to play games. Any kind of game. But they have a knack for solving riddles and puzzles!

A is known for their dual gift giving nature. They make people go like "Oh hey, here's a very nice normal, reasonably expensive gift" and then the other is like...a portrait made with the blood of their enemies or some shit 😭
