Moving weight is cool, but doing negative is cooler. Adding a negative doing your eccentric movement will give you more control of the exercise you decide to use it on. More control of the movement means more muscle fibers being used. Super late post, but hit a PR a few weeks back. 445 on my deadlift. Added 40 lbs to my deadlift in 2019 and probably only deadlifted 12 times though out the year. Always loved this shot of the park. Got my run in this morning for the first time in a bit. People keep asking why am I training in the mornings now, especially since I'm not a morning person. After my show, it felt like I had no direction or drive in the fitness aspect of my life.
