sometimes I wonder if elias breathed a sigh of relief upon hiring jon and discovering that he has finally hired an archivist who will match his level of drama.
gertrude did not fuck with that. gertrude interrupted elias' evil monologues, literally just lit shit on fire if all else failed, and ignored the eye's efforts altogether.
jon, on the other hand rapidly went from "none of this is real, you are all lying to me" to "oh god, oh fuck, oh god" to "I am undeserving of existence" in an alarmingly short period of time.
he did the monologues. he had the existential crisis. he was the ultimate dramatic disaster gay.

an uptick in the activity inside the cafe had drawn sage's attention from an apathetic trawl through his socials for something to keep him occupied as he waited for his beverage. he glanced towards the door, but the crowd had apparently moved fast. "at least the cups are reusable." he shrugs. "good for the environment. bad for anti - capitalists."

this will probably be disproven across episodes but I have the Gwen brainrot so indulge me.
I know a lot of people hope that Elias is out walking around happy and high, but see the Magnus institute burned down in 1999. Jonah took Elias in 1996.
So don't imagine Gwendolyn coming 'home' after a few years studying on daddy's money, daddy's name and daddy's contempt that his youngest daughter seems perfectly fine with ignoring what is expected from a Bouchard.
Don't imagine Gwen running into her brother one night after he himself hasn't been in their family house for weeks. And realising the thing in front of her isn't Elias.
The stone cold sober, easy smiling man with impeccable posture is not the man who taught her how to play their parents to secure a peaceful life and a place in the will at the same time.
The eyes looking back at her never winked at her from across the dinner table, never shed tears of rage at the golden chains around both of them, never looked at her at her lowest and told her everything would be okay one day. Because those eyes do not belong to Elias.
'A promotion' it tells her, with the same pride Elias used to talk about a student strike that would absolutely wreck their name if it were printed on papers, but this thing wouldn't do that because this thing is. Not. Her. Brother. But she's almost as good at acting as it is, so she plays along. 'Head of the Magnus Institute'.
And Gwen knows very little of the Magnus institute. But she knows enough about Elias Bouchard. She knows about Allan and the eyeless thing that got to him, tale whispered in a panic on the night she first saw her brother as a child instead of a role model. She knows about the letter that arrived unprompted. She knows the stories of what goes on inside the too old building.
And she knows how easy it is to get her hands on gasoline for the bits of it that aren't already flammable.
When she's called in as his emergency contact, she feigns shock at the fire, throws the bone that 'the idiot couldn't even keep his fucking lighter straight' between tears.
She throws the ashes off a foggy cliff onto the sea and attends the empty casket funeral with the same expression she learns to carry from that day on. And after years of clipped conversation, she does what she promised Elias to never do.
'Get me in.' She tells her father. And his smile of relief at 'still having a worthy heir' on the day of his son's funeral sickens her. But she keeps the same expression.
Because she may have killed the thing that took Elias. But the OIAR is the place that can tell her what she killed exactly.
And she won't make her brother's mistakes.
#Guys get it? Because she is making his mistakes? All of them one by one#tma#tmagp#gwendolyn bouchard#elias bouchard#the magnus archives#the magnus protocol#my writing

Sometimes I think about the fucking impact this must have had on Jon. He wakes up from a 6 month long coma, inhuman. Tim is dead, and Martin refuses to talk to him. And then there's Elias.
Elias was a constant cheerleader to Jon's power. He'd praise him for getting stronger. He wouldn't give him much in the way of answers, but he was always willing to listen to Jon's concerns.
And now Jon's alone and his powers are considered a nuisance by everyone around him unless they're towards other inhumans. But him knowing things is annoying, and compulsion is only beneficial when directed at a threat. Elias was excited when Jon would know something. He even (really) enjoyed compulsion. And now even Elias, the one weirdo Jon had in his corner, refuses to speak to him.
I am unwell by the wreck that is Jonathan Sims in season 4.

(I do not have the time or the energy to write this into a proper story, but in hopes of sharing the amusement, here is a scenario that popped into my head recently) Jon who maybe had a Bad Time while at university, and he kept failing until her dropped-out. He and Georgie still broke-up, but are doing the trying-to-be-friends thing, and he's still crashing on her couch (that's just. where he goes when he has no other options; the Georgie Couch). He's there when she starts doing her own podcast thing, and just by association, he winds up meeting Melanie earlier. They still hate each other, but because Jon is a raging skeptic and pissy little know-it-all, he winds up going with her on some of the ghost hunts.
Here is the funny part; this is a Jon who never works for the Magnus Institute, and never reads any statements. He STILL winds up getting Marked by various Fears because he's a danger-magnet, he just keeps thinking he met an elaborate hoaxer, like these are all episodes of Scooby-Doo. Melanie fights with him CONSTANTLY, but she has to admit, with his low sense of self-preservation, he's actually helpful when it comes to getting spooky footage, and when a supposed haunting really is fake, he finds out real quick. Melanie begins dating Georgie and moves in. Jon just... doesn't leave. Now their life is like a weird version of Three's Company, with two girlfriends and the scruffy gremlin man who lives with them.
Other funny part; they still eventually go to the Magnus Institute because both Georgie and Melanie want to research various topics. The Archives are a wreck, but Tim, Sasha, and Martin try to help track down the info. Elias sees this guy who is practically RADIOACTIVE with Fear, and he can't get Jon to work for him. It is driving him crazy. Also, this is Jon at his most blunt, who blurts out whatever random thoughts pop into his head. He doesn't care about being professional, he's the guy who antagonizes demons on a ghost show. So he just shakes Martin's had and says "Hello. Your chest looks more soft than a renaissance painting of heavenly clouds. Where's the bathroom?"
Ok but consider: Martin never left the library so he's constantly in direct contact with Jon, Georgie and Melanie. The library staff hates them because they're always causing a commotion. They are also worried about Martin (because Jon won't stop staring at his chests) and are considering just outright banning him. Martin is fine with it (even thinks Jon is cute in a creep gremlin way) but he has no say in the matter because he's the library's baby despite him insisting that he's in his late 30's (a lie).
#Martin entered the institute as a wee baby and it just stuck like that for the next ten years#even newcomers who are actually younger than Martin treat him like a cinnamon roll they must protect#especially from the degenerate Jon

i'd very much like to hear about your mechs/tma baby jon au:)
Hehehehe thanks for asking >:3
So I have no idea where this whole idea came from, but I'll try to make it somewhat coherent.
At some point in the mess that is the Mechs' timeline, after High Noon Over Camelot and before Out, they all come to Earth. Somehow, Ivy gets a job in the public library of Bournemouth and legally becomes Jon's aunt at some point (don't ask me how I don't know).
Which means that when Baby Jom comes into the picture, Ivy is very interested in understanding how to raise a human child. She gets involved in his life, becomes the cool aunt, all the while being on really good terms with his parents. When they die, Jon is six, and she proposes to take care of him. Jon's gran, who didn't want to deal with it, accepts, although she asks to still be able to see him on weekends and whatnot.
Now, Ivy's living situation isn't what anyone would call "typical," especially not in the 90s. Because picture that. Ivy and the Mechs all live in a huge mansion together, sleep together in huge cuddle piles most of the time, only half of them have a job, they look super weird... also, they're all queer ofc.
Great for Jon's emotional development, not great for neighbourhood gossip.
I'd say Jon's childhood in this AU is pretty great. His gran steps out of the picture after a while (Jonny banned her because she made some comments about Jon being neurodivergent and the crew being sinful), and overall, he gets plenty of love. He has as many books as he wants (and isn't blamed for it!) and learns plenty of useful skills such as cleaning guns :)
When he gets hired at the Institute, he's kind of a mess. The crew went a bit everywhere during his uni years, wanting to wreck some havoc after staying in the same place for 15 years, except Ivy, who transformed the house into her personal library. They still visited him from times to time but y'know.
Elias gets quickly interested in him because of the amount of Marks he already has. The crew never hurt him intentionally, but with them all being Avatars (unknowingly), his encounter with the Web (which still happened), and being generally encouraged in his Eye tendencies, that didn't help.
(Note to self : figure out who is an Avatar of what)
When he gets hired in the Archives, he calls Ivy and asks her to help him sort the mess. Ivy gets a weird feeling about the place, and decides to call the crew back together in case Jon might need help. That's also when they discover they've all become way more Avatar-y during their time apart.
That's all I've got for now ! Thanks for asking <3

I finished watching cm a few days ago and decided to watch cm evolution, it was the worst decision ever. Cm ended on s12x1, the other seasons were a train wreck, too much emotional cheating from luke, jj and spencer. The only good thing was matt, portia, derek guest appearance and emily's comeback, i loved it, and if I am being completely honest, I had to watch the series final with 2x, idk if they changed writers or what but it was too boring and annoying.
Now, regarding cm evolution, i have only watched season 16, season 17 is not available in my country. My expectations weren't high and rightfully so, the only salvable thing about this reboot is the plot of Elias Voit, Doug, Will going back on the field, Rossi and grey haired Prentiss (it's giving mother🤌🏻). Luke and Tara are just there, like🧍♀️🧍♂️. I felt like the plot line of Will possible dying was a way of maybe, in the future, getting Jeid. I liked Penelope cm but Penelope cm evolution is so out of character, cause you are telling me that the same girl that chide Derek before sleeping with the sister of a victim, did the same thing as him?????? Penelope would neeeever. It's like watching the destruction of alex karev all over again.
Lastly the need of filming the reboot as a movie, i don't thing it was a good call, sometimes the music overlaps with the dialogue n its frustrating.

Well! So! Exandria Unlimited: Calamity Destroyed me! (in the best way :D)
I didn't cry, for some reason, but wooof. Ladies and gentlefolk, what a story. Masterful indeed. (I do wonder though just how emotionally traumatised those players were O.o Poor Marisha was a wreck. And at the risk of repeating myself
(There's a pattern in TLOVM where Scanlan always folds when he's hesitating about whether to run or help and chooses to help because he sees the impact [thing] has on kids, and I guess that's taken right from his player. That scene when Elias flies away on Tempus? I haven't seen M9 but I think that was the hardest I've seen him cry since the 9th level Counterspell.)
AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON LAERRYN AND LOQUATIUS BECAUSE. THAT. WAS. GOD. AND I'M NOT EVEN THAT MUCH OF A ROMANTIC IN THE FIRST PLACE 😭
So, yeah. I reallyreallyreally hope they adapt it into an animated mini-series someday 💖

TMA general update:
Okay so I’ve finished season 2 and now I’m almost done season 3, so we’ve got a lot to cover.
There have been so many death flags for Tim, even before he asked Elias to kill him :((( Finding out about Sasha really broke him, and then we find out The Stranger took his brother from him too. I have a feeling he will not survive the third season, rip. I’m putting off listening to the ‘Masquerade’ episode cause my guess is that’s when he’ll die, or something worse will happen to him while they’re trying to stop The Unknowing.
Jon’s character development has been truly masterful. He’s gone from a paranoid wreck to an avatar getting used to his burgeoning powers, I’m proud of him tbh, even though he’s literally becoming a monster. I like the new style in S3 where Jon travels around collecting statements and Martin reads more back at the Institute. The reappearing characters are great to see too! MAG111 was so interesting, we finally got an explanation and names for ‘The 14’ entities that have been behind all the spooks and abominations! And of course we met Gerry, another assistant Gertrude fed to the horrors without hesitation. Michael’s statement in MAG101 was also a big piece of lore, considering he’s a main antagonist/meddler. Finding out about the Impossible Altar, the Watcher’s Crown, (Eye-pocalypse?) and the other rituals was so exciting! I sense the overarching plot at work here…
Elias finally getting his hands dirty with some good old-fashioned pipe murder for the S2 finale was something else. He’s certainly been showing his true character in S3, snarky and devious but also has powers and knows how to use them. And ya’know, I thought it was fanon, but from the two Peter Lukas visits I’ve listened to so far, they really do act like an old married (for convenience) couple. Speaking of, the second time he showed up, Martin got transported to The Lonely when Peter Lukas talked to him!! Not his first time in an entity’s realm/domain, and luckily not his first time escaping from one. I’m so glad he got let go, I was really scared for him for a sec there.
Melanie and Basira have joined the team, (Elias’s prison), and it’s nice to have more pov characters to follow! I love how they made Basira a bookworm so much, it warms my nerdy heart! I was sad when Elias revealed Melanie’s father was a victim of The Corruption at that old folks home, (something-Ivy?), although I do appreciate her attempts at offing Elias, and I want to see where her research into war ghosts leads her. (We finally found out how she got shot by a ghost!)
This is the “oh yeah, it’s all coming together point in the story and I am living for it! TMA is doing the mystery + horror balance very well; we’re learning some important lore in between getting scared by monsters. The darkness one from MAG86 still haunts me, its “the blanket never did anything” line was so cold, it would’ve terrified me particularly bad as a kid.
That’s all for now! I’ll do another one of these around season 4, probably.

Damn, just listened to Mag 106. Got nervous for a second when I realized this was another perspective of the space story from episode 57, that episode wrecked me. But this one wasn’t too bad.
Oh Melanie and Basira gossiping like regular coworkers would, thank God for a bit of normalcy. Their comments about Jon and Martin made me laugh.
Too bad the good stuff doesn’t last long. I was afraid of what would happen if Elias decided to get nasty with anyone causing trouble and we finally have an answer. He will take something horrible and implant it in your brain and make you see it for as long as he wants. Melanie’s sobs were heartbreaking. Now I can’t help but wonder: If Elias does this with anyone else, what will he make them see?

The New Heir - Chapter 9
Alright everyone, lets hurt Elias a little bit more. As always, feedback is nice.
Warnings: angst and fluff, mentions of panic attacks... Hurt and comfort maybe...
Word count: 1.8k
Prologue, Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, Chapter 5, Chapter 6, Chapter 7, Chapter 8, Chapter 9, Chapter 10
Bruce was sitting in front of the computer in the Batcave, rubbing his forehead, refusing to look at the screen. The test he made to prove that Ra's is Elias' father came back positive.
99,9% match.
Bruce sighed and rubbed his face. How the hell is he going to break this to Elias? A huge chance is that Elias will get a bad panic attack and get worse when it comes to his mental health. Elias could spiral and that would be even worse. But, there is also a chance that if he doesn't tell Elias, he will be pissed at Bruce and the others.
Bruce said and looked down at the printed out results. Thankfully, Ra's wasn't pushy with telling Elias anything. It's been a week since the gala and Bruce was working up the courage to tell his soon to be son that Ra's is his biological father.
A mass murderer and one of the best assassins in the world. An eco terrorist too.
Ra's and Bruce have stayed in contact and Bruce told Ra's he would Elias today. Now he just needs some courage. Sure, it sounds odd that Bruce Wayne, aka Batman needs courage, but this was different. In a way, this could break Elias.
And that won't be a good thing at all. But he had to tell him. He had to tell him.
He told Damian to take him to the living room and just hangout there. The others were there too and it wasn't going to be pretty by any means. If Elias passes out, it won't be good. And yet again, he has a right to know. And besides, Ra's can help with looking for his mom...
But that wouldn't come without something in return. And Bruce has a feeling that it had something to do with Elias. He really didn't want to think about what would Ra's want in return. Ra's did say he wouldn't be forcing Elias to meet with him, but he could if he were to help...
Bruce sighed yet again. He had to man up and just tell Elias and pray he wasn't going to pass out from the severity from the news. Or get a panic attack from it.
Bruce quickly left the Batcave and quickly went to the living room, paper folded in his right hand. He heard some chatter and saw Elias on the couch, bundled up in a blanket with some tea in his hands. Bruce noted forest fruit scent it was a nice way to start this evening. Bruce knew that online classes were a great idea.
Elias is studious young boy and he had no worries about Elias focusing on school. Sure, it isn't easy to focus when your mom is missing, but Elias was making it work. Alfred made sure that Elias takes his breaks, eats and drinks enough water.
Elias was leaning on Damian as he was drinking his tea. He looked a bit tired, but still good none the less. And Bruce was going to wreck this peace with this piece of paper and with the results on the same paper.
He sat down and everyone got quiet and everyone could feel that something is off. The four sons know exactly what is going to happen and Elias has no idea what is going to happen. His life would be turned on its head and he will thrown into a whole lot more chaos than he ever wished for.
" I have some news for you Elias. " Bruce said as he sat across from his boys in the arm chair.
" What is it? " Elias asked, still leaning on Damian's shoulders.
" After the gala, Ra's and Talia stayed after the gala to talk. It was about you. " Bruce said as he glanced down at the paper in his hands.
Elias tensed up and just sighed. " What about me? "
" Elias... Well, he implied that he might be your father. " Bruce said and glanced back up at Elias, who looked back in Bruce in both shock and fear.
" What is that supposed to mean? " Elias asked and everyone looked at Bruce.
" It means that he was with your mother. He seemed to love her very much. She seemed to hold an important place in his heart. And I did a DNA test to see if you are his son and Talia's brother. " Bruce said and handed Elias the paper.
" And you are. Ra's al Ghul is your father and Talia is your sister. " Bruce said as he watched Elias unfolding the paper. His eyes widened and his hands shook, dropping the paper in pure shock. Bruce watched him intently, trying to see if he was having a panic attack. Dick moved away the tea from the coffee table so Elias doesn't tip the cup over.
Jason stood up and moved to get some cold water instead of hot tea and Tim moved closer to Elias, to comfort him if necessary.
" This is a mistake Bruce. " Elias said shakily and Bruce saw tears in his eyes.
" I did it 10 times to be sure. It's not a mistake. " Bruce said as he moved closer to Elias too.
All eyes were on Elias, wondering what is going to happen.
Elias just sat there as he looked at the paper.
His world is burning. His world is in shambles. His mom, was an assassin... His beloved uncle Aseel was one too probably...
He swallowed hard as he felt his tears well up with tears. He tried to keep himself together, but it was difficult. He felt like he was going to jump out of his skin and then die... Elias took a shaky breath and everyone moved so he didn't feel suffocated and could try to breathe properly.
His hands shook as he took the paper back into his hands and he quicky wiped his eyes with the back of his hand. He can't cry now... Sure, his world may be in shambles... May burn right now, but...
How does he even respond to this?
" Wh- " (Y/N) pauses to swallow and breathe. " What now? " Elias asks Bruce as he wipes his eyes again, refusing the tears to fall down.
Bruce watched Elias and was really impressed at how Elias was taking this. He wasn't having a panic attack. Not yet at least.
" I will let Ra's know you know the biological connection. "
" Don't force me to meet him. " Elias said, eyes wide with panic and fear. He doesn't want to even think of Ra's, let alone see him.
" No, no. " Bruce said and moved closer to Elias. He knelt down to be at Elias' level and grabbed his shoulders. " Look at me Eli. " Bruce said quietly and Elias looked at Bruce, eyes watery.
" You won't meet him unless you want to. Ra's only wanted you to know and that's all. " Bruce soothed and Elias wiped his tears.
Then, Bruce brought Elias into a hug, holding him by the back of his neck and positioned Elias to hide his face into his chest, allowing him to break down. Jason finally came back with some water and watched the scene.
" You guys can leave us alone, okay? " Bruce said to his sons and the four left, some more hesitant than the others, but they left.
Now it was Bruce and Elias, who was on the verge of a panic attack.
" Hey, relax. You won't see him if you don't want to. " Bruce said firmly and Elias tried to calm down.
" Are you sure? " Elias whispered, hugging Bruce back tightly.
" Yes. Talia and Ra's won't come near you unless you want them to come. " Bruce explained to Elias. If that meant that he would have to fight the two then so be it.
Elias' safety and security is important and if that meant fighting... Then so be it.
" You mean it? " Elias asked quietly and Bruce nodded.
" Every word of it. And Ra's promised to wait too, so there is no need to worry. "
Elias just nodded and sighed. " This is... All of this is nuts. "
" I agree, but you are strong and you have me and the boys. You aren't alone in this. " Bruce said and watched as Elias moved his head back, now fully looking at Bruce.
Bruce softly wiped the tears off and smiled softly. " You are not alone. Now, please drink some water and try to relax. " Bruce said and watched as Elias sipped on some of the water that he got.
Bruce watched him like a hawk, trying to see if he was going to have a panic attack. The worst may have past, but you never know with panic.
It can pop up in mere seconds.
Elias put the glass down and wiped his eyes again. " I hate feeling so weak. "
" It's normal to feel weak, but you can't stay weak can you? " Bruce said quietly and Elias nodded.
You can feel weak, but you can't stay weak. You have to stay strong in this world, no matter what.
" Would I betray Damian if I decide to meet up with Talia and Ra's? " Elias asked quietly.
While Ra's may be a monster, an assassin and what not, he is his father... The part that he has always wanted to meet... To know where his Arabic side came from...
" Well... Talk to Damian about first. Wanting to meet your father is nothing wrong, it's completely normal to meet your father that you have never meet. Just talk to Damian first okay? " Bruce said and smiled softly. " Talk to him tomorrow, when everything is sort of where it's supposed to be and see what you are going to do. "
" But won't this be a betrayal for you too? " Elias asked and Bruce knew it was one good question.
" You could see it that way, but I'm telling you I won't be mad if you do. It's normal. "
" Oh God, I hate life right now. "
Bruce chuckled and patted Elias' back softly. " I feel you. Now, lets get you to your room and lets get you some sleep. " Bruce said and stood up from his position and then gently led Elias to his room. Elias followed, tired from the all emotional turmoil he went through tonight.
" Come on, lets tuck you in. " Bruce said as he helped Elias to bed.
Elias allowed himself to be tucked in by Bruce. Bruce made sure that Elias was warm in his bed.
" Good night Elias, sleep well. " Bruce said, turning the lights off.
" Night Bruce. " Elias whispered and closed his eyes.
He heard the door closing and the footsteps in the hall. Elias took a deep breath and started relaxing. He needs his sleep in order to deal with this father thing.
And he needs energy to think about Ra's being his father... And the potential meeting... Oh dear God, none of this will end well.

What if Cersei did indeed marry Rhaegar? Cause I don't think they would have been happy despite what Cersei thinks and sooner or later she's gonna realize that Rhaegar is not how she imagined him.
She wouldn't be happy at all. Rhaegar's priority will remain the prophecy. I know some people think Cersei would be able to give Rhaegar his 3 heads easily unlike Elia but
Elia got pregnant immediately each time. They got married in Jan, she gave birth in Sept. He saw a comet, went to Elia (who was either on bedrest or had just left bedrest) and she got pregnant immediately. Cersei isn't infertile and she did take moontea whenever Robert raped her but Joffrey was born 2+ years after her wedding. We have no evidence that Cersei drank moontea every time she and Jaime had sex (including the morning of her wedding). I'm not comparing their fertility for fun, I'm just saying that there will be a lot of pressure on Cersei to get pregnant on Rhaegar's bizarre timetable before he starts entertaining the idea of seeking someone else. Elia had to deal with racism and xenophobia from Aerys as well and I doubt Aerys would be very forgiving towards Tywin's daughter. So if Cersei takes a year or longer to get pregnant (which is normal, fyi the reason Elia is super fertile is because GRRM compressed the timeline of the events leading to Robert's Rebellion), she'd be dealing with Aerys' hostility and Rhaegar's wandering eye
Elia was declared infertile after giving birth to Aegon and almost dying (or at least a third pregnancy would kill her). Most people blame this on her 'delicate health' and Cersei, being a healthy young woman, would easily avoid this to give Rhaegar his 3 required kids. Here's the problem - Elia's chronic illness isn't why she couldn't have a third kid, it's Rhaegar impregnating her back to back on whims of his interpretation of an old prophecy. Elia almost died giving birth to Rhaenys. She was on bedrest for 6 months. She was still in recovery when she got pregnant again because of some comet. Then months later, she was in Harrenhal getting humiliated in front of all of Westeros (the noble houses that is). Of course, Aerys was present suspecting treason which must have been fun for his Dornish daughter in law whom he hated. She then travelled to Dorne to show her daughter to her family before returning to Dragonstone. That's a lot of strain on the body, even for a healthy woman. Once she gave birth, almost dying again, her husband plucked at his harp sadly before leaving to impregnate a teenager. That is just not an environment conducive to having healthy pregnancies and births. Cersei would be subjected to similar stresses, even if she gets pregnant quickly or takes a year or two because the people she'll be dealing with aren't rational or empathetic
Plus, Cersei would be a teen bride. If she married Rhaegar soon after Steffon's death, she'd be 12 or 13. If she marries him when Elia did, she'd be 14. Rhaegar was 22 in 280 AC. Aerys isn't going to wait for Cersei to grow up. Rhaella gave birth for the first time at 13 after all. So we have a teenager giving birth back to back (which will wreck her body and likely give her fertility issues like Rhaella) or we have a teenager under a lot of stress to give birth as quickly as possible which will lead to health issues or the same thing happening to her - Harrenhal then Robert's Rebellion
What if Cersei has twins? There's a chance that could happen. What would Rhaegar do if his third child comes out with a twin? What if she has a miscarriage? What if she takes years between each birth?
I can't imagine in such an environment that Cersei wouldn't grow to hate Rhaegar

This might sound odd but a fic of either elias or rhah taking care of their sick s/o? Either that or a list of headcanons on what the cast of platoon would be like in a caring/responsible setting
---
― Chris's concern is balanced, well-adjusted and normal where you getting sick is brought into question; at first, anyway. By extension, his reaction is a reaction you'd expect from a stable individual too --- like offering to take you to a hospital or preform the simple gesture of giving you meds or something warm to drink. Holding your hand while you're in bed. Keeping you company. Getting worried. Nothing unusual about that, fact is, he's very heartwarming in his care. But again, placing emphasis on the 'at first' bit because there's always more than meets the eye here. As the days pass and your condition might worsen or you getting better might actually take some time, Taylor could just get visibly agitated like he's taking this to heart and by extension, his heart took him to a really dark place in the process. Might speculate on where you got the flu from. Or who from. Could very well start getting pissed off at this figurative individual or set of individuals. Could start pacing around the room. Could very well say something of the likes of them needing to be taught a lesson. His moods sours. He's angry. And he thinks it's someone else's fault you're in this state even though, technically, nobody's to blame and this is the type of thing that just...you know...happens. Sure, he might calm down himself. Not like he'll go do something stupid. But, his balanced concern isn't always that balanced, is all. He just loves you so very much, is all, damnit.
― O'Neill is a nervous wreck. In his head he blows this way out of proportion to the degree he thinks you'll die from a simple flu or a commonplace coughing fit (something he might cover up with humor initially), meaning that he doesn't move from your bedside unless you need something and then he moves for the precise and practical reason of acquiring and fixing you up with the very thing you require posthaste and the man's undoubtedly all fingers and thumbs half of the time he preforms any act of service while you're ill under his watch, something he alleviates by being tremendously chatty towards you, too chatty, even for him --- he's faux-jovial and he deliberately makes light of the situation, regaling you of some (possibly made up?) anecdote about how he got sick once and how dastardly he was surviving it (of course --- it's that famous O'Neill immune system); and it's obvious he doesn't actually feel in a good mood, he mainly does this to alleviate his own nerves and seem tough in front of you. He'll be there sitting beside your mattress on a chair, effectively having fidgetily tapped his foot about a million times within one minute, biting his own nails one second and then putting up the front the next. Once you actually recover no problem, he pretends he wasn't worried in the least bit. Ignores everything that went on. Something slimily sweet about that.
― Bunny's literally the (unintentionally?) funniest person to care for a sick person because he comes off like the type of individual who never gets sick himself, not because he's insusceptible or somehow immune but because even if he did get ill he'd undoubtedly, in just how unhinged he is, move about his day like nothing's going on and to him, nothing is because it's Bunny and he does what he wants --- he simply functions on a different wavelength from everyone else; so when you get sick, it's almost like witnessing someone trying to figure out in real time how to approach empathy and doing so in the weirdest way possible. Undoubtedly lays down on the bed beside you, not caring about any germs or viruses or if he gets them (in fact, almost wishing he did) and he rambles about a story how he's heard about some people drinking alcohol infused with Kerosene and just purging all the bacteria. Or how he's heard that them Reds are airdropping illness from airplanes! He swears its true. In equal measure, he might think your state is generally hot. You're all red nosed, sniffling, glossy eyed, bed bound, weak and he's got an arm slung around you while he rants away. Somehow, this is the most fun he's had in a while and he doesn't leave even if it takes a full week for you to feel better. He's a bit like an overly affectionate pet you can't shake off and who insists on sleeping on the most inconveniencing place to you.
― Rhah's one of those people who simultaneously blames you for getting yourself sick all while being wholly and entirely contradictive and doing everything in his power to make this whole thing as soothing as humanly possible for you, going above and beyond. Like, you're both accused and helped, preached and catered to, --- but make no mistake; it's Vermucci's general nature to get so passionately invested he almost comes off as a bit hostile or passive aggressive. Thing is, he's just intensely devoted and his concern comes off like he's sermonizing or patronizing someone when it's really just care re-packaged into a box where he can conceal how much he wants to do for you in this very moment. And he does. In a barrage of things that can very well help you in your recovery in a genuinely practical sense he might end up doing a very great many that have nothing to do, with say, a seasonal flu. How him massaging your feet or rubbing your shoulders will help with you excessively sneezing you don't know, but here Rhah is, doing it. Almost like he's sneaking in gestures that can be considered sensual in there on purpose. Which he is. Why are candles lit in the chamber you're laying this bug out in? Why's there soft music playing in the other room? This feels like a prelude to a date. What's happening, you don't know, but it's happening.
― King gives me the impression like he'd be the guy with all the homemade remedies. And what's best; they all actually work like a charm, possibly infinitely better than any actual medicine you could take in this situation. Sure, they look oddly suspicious. Maybe they smell and taste kind of funky too, giving you a perplexed initial reaction. Might even make you feel lightheaded and woozy (what's in this stuff anyway?) But, for some reason, you're better the next day. Up and about, like you were never ill in the first place. Totally invigorated and energized. It's like some sort of miracle and he's like some manner of miracle worker. Now, this is a recipe he swears by and he'd cryptically smile as he promises to never tell you what it contains, but your sickness doesn't hold sway long. Fact is, it's over at record double quick time. Heck, might've just put you in an immensely good and carefree mood too to top it all off because you can't stop smiling and you seem to have an excess of zest for someone who was tremendously ill only just yesterday. No, seriously, what on earth was in that thing he's given you? You do crave more, admittedly. Whatever the case, King's care when you're sick begins and ends with the fact that he'd just find a way to fix it almost immediately to the degree you're not bed bound at all. He's all self-contented chuckles on the matter though. Like he knows a secret you don't.
― Now, if King is the king of homemade herbal remedies with, uhm, mysterious and slightly addictive prosperities, Wolfe is the very opposite and he'd feel like he'd quite literally play Doctor in this situation; somehow, being a Lieutenant in command of a whole Platoon of people and their respective needs he might've by proxy in some shape, way or form been in charge of ordering, greenlighting and overlooking any influx of medical provisions coming and in out of base camp under his jurisdiction so he just knows exactly what medicine to give you through observational proxy and he's very matter-of-factly about it. Book knowledge entirely on display. He's in his element here, getting to be in charge over someone more vulnerable and that's you. You don't know if he enjoys this and the state you're in in his own bizarre way, but chances are he does at least a little. Just a little. You get everything you declare to want in your recovery and he, in equal measure, acquires everything you don't say you need but Mark personally thinks you do. Paracetamols and Ibuprofen galore. Boxes and boxes of medicine you don't need in these quantities. No visitations. Your pillow being adjusted. Blinds closed. Can he get you something? You sure? Really small, knowing smiles. Encouragement where the notion of you laying in even longer is concerned. Is he being understatedly possessive in the most unassuming matter imaginable? Maybe.
― Elias makes himself sick so you two can be sick together. He says he'll do it and he does without a single shred of irony and with the biggest smile and relish in the world. If you suffer through this, you won't suffer alone because he'll be right there going through it too all while effectively also be the party who cares for you exclusively --- and not at all for himself (perhaps the maximum of what he does for himself is getting high) claiming he can handle it and he does without a single complaint. In fact, he seems barely compromised, really. Too happy seeming about this to appear genuinely sick. One almost gets the impression he's having fun doing this. You're not sure what about this is exactly so profoundly relishing to him, but something has to be and to avoid sounding corny it's because the man adores you so much he'll adore you whatever state you're in, even if you're perspired, sneezing, sniffling, coughing, sweating and chapped. He sees this as an act of solidarity on his part, or almost as a mischievous practical joke that particularly tickles his funny bone while he's there caressing the top of your head softly while you're laid out across his legs and lap. You might've off handedly mentioned that he shouldn't get too close to you because you're gross right now and he'll get infected and he just chuckled at the notion and infected himself deliberately. The gesture is both oddly manic and the most chaotically endearing thing ever.
― Remember how I said Chris could be impulsively tempted to mess up whoever it was that gave you the sickness in the first place regardless how irrationally violent that sounds in the moment --- well, Barnes might just. Meaning that he's basically one of those overly grim, unforgiving 'I never get sick and when I get sick, I get over it' stoics who seem like they've not a single bone of sympathy in their body concerning your situation except general, broody anger and the desire to enact vengeance somewhere over someone but truth of the matter is they're internally actually treating this like it's life or death, because things are in fact classified into life or death and there's no two ways around it for him. Issue is, you never get to see this concern because he wouldn't want you to and suffice to say he undoubtedly notices your symptoms way before you ever even feel them yourself --- man is just that astute and quietly observational. Somehow, he manages to be generally gruff, authoritative and stern throughout the whole thing all while effectively doing everything --- a fact not easy to notice precisely due to his dark mood that serves as an elaborate smokescreen that covers up whatever devotion is going on here. You don't understand why he ordered you to stay put and rest while you were still feeling fine only to fully grasp it days later once the illness actually hit full flow. Genuinely speaking, for someone who seems as cold as Barnes does, if you needed a pint of human blood to recover, he'd just about deliver a barrel full. Literally.
