“What are you doing here?”

Ludwig in Munich, chatting up both Germans and Scotsmen who had gathered for the Euro Cup, in the middle of a campground. Okay, him being in Munich and talking to fellow football fans wasn’t that much of a surprise. But he expected him to be home prepping for the game, if not already at the arena, considering how punctual he liked to be.

Ludwig blinked, freezing in the middle of handing a sausage to one of their fellow campers. He seemed to relax when he noticed it was just Alastair.

“What a coincidence?” Ludwig mused, slightly slack-jawed.

Alastair laughed shortly, the kind that came from the throat and was a bit too loud. Warm splotches bloomed under his skin. Hopefully he wasn’t as red as he felt.

“Didn’t expect to see you here,” Alastair explained awkwardly. “Thought you’d have a place out here, or you’d drive from one of your places.”

Ludwig shrugged. “Gilbert thought a change of scene for a bit would be good for me. And I like doing things like this. Might I say your people have been surprisingly warm and even entertaining despite our opposing teams.”

If his face wasn’t noticeably red before, it definitely was now. It may not have been a compliment towards him directly, but pride swelled in Alastair’s chest, and coming from Ludwig, he was left flustered.

“Are you alright, Alastair?”

“Yeah…Yeah. Just a little warm is all.”

Ludwig gestured to a nearby table. “Sit, sit. I’ll get you a drink and something to eat.”

“Ludwig, you don’t–” But Ludwig took matters into his own hands, wrapping an arm around Alastair’s shoulder and forcing him over to the table.

“Sit,” Ludwig commanded, not harsh, but firm. Like he always sounded controlling the meetings before he lost his patience. Alastair had to obey, especially with the way the tone made his legs feel like jelly.

Ludwig went back up to the grill to collect food. Alastair watched from a distance as he exchanged some words with the man who was helping him on the grill. Even from this far away, Alastair caught the red creeping along Ludwig’s cheeks. What had him flustered now?

In the end, it didn’t matter, for when Ludwig returned with food and drink in hand, his cheeks had gone back to their regular, pale colour, and his expression in its normal, neutral position.

“So…” Alastair began as they both dug in, “You like camping?”

Ludwig nodded. “Mhm. It’s a nice way to get away from everything. Like a whole other world without having to travel very far.”

“It definitely is nice. Camping reminds me of my childhood. There were a lot of times we were moving around without a stable home, especially after Mum…disappeared…”

Alastair was pulled out of his thoughts when Ludwig touched his hand. Alastair flinched but suppressed it enough not to pull away.

“I’m sorry.”

Alastair swallowed saliva that wasn’t there. If he had been getting misty-eyed about his mother, it was quickly forgotten and replaced by the fluttery feeling set off by the warm touch against his hand. “It’s fine. Really. I brought that up to say I get joy from it too. It’s nostalgic. And like you said, a great escape.”

Ludwig’s brows remained knitted, but he didn’t press further. And he didn’t let go of Alastair’s hand.

“Um…L-Ludwig?” Alastair stuttered out after a moment of enjoying the feeling of Ludwig’s hand in his.

Ludwig gave him a confused look before he noticed that he still had his hand over Alastairs. He pulled away quickly.

“S-Sorry,” Ludwig muttered.

“It’s okay.”

Awkward silence. At least it gave them a chance to get back to their food. Not that Alastair had much of an appetite now, with his heart pounding so much that it rattled his stomach until he felt nauseous.

“Sorry…I made things awkward,” Ludwig finally said once they finished. Cheeks pink, eyes darting off to the side in uncertainty.

Alastair smiled softly. It was easy not to notice the soft soul that lay beneath the tough, self-assured soldier. Ludwig seemed to make sure no one did. And Alastair, blinded by his admiration for Ludwig’s leadership and desire to impress him to join the EU, failed to notice it for a while despite the constant attention he gave to him. But when he finally did, Alastair realized he was in love.

“It’s okay,” Alastair assured him. He went to reach for his hand again, though stopped short, just hovering over it. “I…um…”

In the end, Alastair pulled his hand away. Ludwig made a noise. Tight, high pitched. Disappointed? No, it couldn’t be.

Alastair cleared his throat. “It’s nice to spend time with you outside of business. And frankly, I’ve made things awkward between us many times, so let’s just say we’re even.”

Ludwig blinked slowly before a small smile rippled across his lips. “I suppose so.”

“With that cleared up. Want to head over to the arena together?”

Ludwig paused for a moment, brows knitting once more.

“Okay,” he finally said. “I’d…I’d like that very much.”

Day 6 : Magical and Fantasy | Ghost

Do you think Germany and England would be into cuckolding? I can see them plan a role play where Wales takes Germany away from England and make England watch (and I headcanon that Germany is into CNC, so I usually imagine he wants it to play put like it's by force, at least at first).

Cuckolding usually isn't something for me, but as soon as you said Arthur was watching Dylan and Ludwig fuck, perhaps I like it a bit. In the right circumstances.

Also Arthur and Ludwig are both into CNC so definitely, Ludwig is at first acting like he doesn't like it, trying to "get away" because he's a loyal boyfriend or something like that. But really he loves it, and if he actually wanted to get away, he easily could over power Dylan. And though Dylan grips him firmly and presses him into the mattress, he eases him into it with soft, honey dripped words, because unlike Arthur, Dylan is a soft dom (it's the bad top, good top meme all over again lol).

Alternatively, this set up with Alastair. Because I love ScotGer a lot too. Definitely a rougher scene because he's a bit more willing to be antagonistic towards Arthur compared to Dylan and he's also a lot lest gentle than Dylan as well.

Honestly, Ludwig in general being at the mercy of all the UK bros sounds really nice actually, and I bet he'd enjoy being their personal fuck pet. Good addition to the UK Polycule methinks.

Speaking of crackships, What are your thoughts on Germany x Scotland?

I see them as good though buddies for sure, with tons of things in common, even in competitions. And the best drink friends! About love, I can bet even Germany would make the first step, since Scott is so so so so closed with feelings and such. Ludwig too, but all his time with Feliciano maybe taught him one thing or two.

Of course no huggies or kissing just like that. First a long difficult talk and after a couple of hours and full of blushing, Germany would say it. Something like:

"I care about you more then a friend, Scott. But it's okey if you don't feel the same. You are a good man"

And then an hour more of blushing and silence XD. And then an "a'right, mate"

That is actually so hot. Make is dubcon. Neither Lud or Arthur were expecting it, but they’re both very into it. 

Ludwig enjoying himself, but feeling bad because he doesn’t know how Arthur feels. Like, I’ve started enjoying the idea that Ludwig has a small crush on all the UK bros when he’s dating Arthur, so to get spitroasted by Dylan and Allie while Arthur watches is kind of a fantasy of his. But when it finally happens, he doesn’t know how Arthur feels so he just looks over to Arthur for reassurance and their eyes meet and he just gives a small smile and nod and it is all Ludwig needs to properly start enjoying himself.

Arthur being specifically tied up so he can’t jack off instead of him actually trying to resist. Also I think Arthur has a kink for being tied up so...Yeah...

Honestly just love the idea of UK polycule having partners outside of each, but they’ll occasionally bring in said partner to get dicked down by the others. Ludwig being one of said partners to come by quite often.

Wales

In most cases I see him as aroace, but if I had to choose a ship, I'd have to go with PruWales purely because of the anon that has been coming in my ask box. Also love the parallel they have with GerEng with Arthur's older brother who raised him and Ludwig's older brother who raised him are dating.

Scotland

ScotFra. Good history, they were married at least in the past. I have just seen so many fanarts of them together and just ugh, so cute.

ScotNor. Once again, I've seen great fanart of the two. There is a specific artist that I can't think of

ScotGer. It started as a joke idea because Allie kept getting flustered around Lud, but then I wrote three fics and I think they're actually super cute. 10x more awkward than GerEng and I love that for them

The classic friends to lovers

There was no grand confession. These two literally became overly affectionate as friends and one day Arthur notices that hey...Maybe they've become more than friends. Like Port is laying in his lap, Arthur is combing a hand through his hair and in a burst of confidence he asks Afonso if they're lovers. Afonso pauses for a moment before going "I guess we are."

They get married during Arthur's pirate years. They may not be legally married, but their crews, their allies and even their enemies recognized it and it was enough for them

Less of a headcanon and more of a thought I constantly have about these two. This is one of the few ships Arthur actually feels comfortable in. There isn't as much digging required on Port's part to get Arthur to be honest. They love each other, they always have, in one way or another so Arthur can be more honest with his feelings because he trusts Afonso more than he has trusted anyone else. Other than one time as nations where Afonso's nation took a dig at his (Pink Map), Afonso has never hurt him or given Arthur a reason to think he would.

They love sailing together. The pirate age may be long gone, but the sea still calls to them, and they'll happily take any kind of boat out on the water. Their best memories lay there after all

They've gotten so good at communicating without words, picking up on each other's smallest tells or using actions to get emotions across. It's easier for Arthur that way.

I've already discussed headcanons for these two, but I'll try to add new ones! If you want to see the og headcanon post it can be found here.

To summarize how they get together (since I went into more detail in the post I linked above). Basically for a long while it was just business with Alastair looking up to Ludwig and Ludwig feeling awkward because Allie is older than him. They become drinking buddies and soon Ludwig feels they're on the same level. Eventually they confess.

Alastair will often convince Arthur to let him going to meetings in Arthur's place just to see Ludwig. Luckily Arthur enjoys a break from time to time so he let's it happen (also deep down he wants to support his brother in this relationship)

They love going on little coffee dates during meeting breaks. Even if Allie isn't involved in the meeting, he'll tag along with Arthur and take Ludwig out to relax during break (because he knows that if he doesn't Ludwig would work himself through it instead and only make himself more stressed)

They are very cuddly. Most are surprised to discover this, but deep down, both of them had always longed for someone to hold them, but they had been too stubborn and scared to admit it. But slowly, they started to allow themselves to open up and initiate affection with each other, starting with simple hand holding and building up to proper embraces and kisses. It's slow, but gentle with a lot of testing the water

Besides drinking together and cafe dates, they also enjoy taking walks togerher, or just staying in with dinner and a movie, baking, mostly casual stuff without a lot of people being around

Ludwig's dogs love Alastair and Allie loves them. He's always been more of a dog person, but never got one of his own because the UK bros house is already packed.

Pruk Week 2022: Day 5

Runs in the Family

The annual reunion of the British Isles Siblings was a gathering not many wanted to be at. But as Arthur’s boyfriend, Gilbert had to accompany him to ensure he didn’t get into too much trouble.

“We’ll be in and out,” Arthur explained as he fiddled with his cufflinks, “I’m just going to greet my siblings, tell them we’re dating, grab a drink, then sneak off to the garden for the rest of the night.”

Gilbert wrapped his arms around Arthur’s waist and rested his head on his shoulder. His lover looked so lovely in his burgundy suit jacket and black dress pants. “Sounds like a plan.”

Arthur straightened his clothes a bit more, though Gilbert could tell it was out of nerves rather than making himself presentable. Eventually, he got annoyed with his boyfriend’s fretting, and so, he spun the Brit around and pressed a reassuring kiss on his lips. “You look very handsome mein Hase,” Gilbert beamed.

Arthur’s cheeks heated up. “Ah…W-Well I…um. Y-You, look good too…I guess.”

Gilbert snickered and stole one more kiss.

Arthur was squeezing Gilbert’s arm to the point he felt as though it was going to fall off. “Relax babe,” He whispered as they entered the hall.

“I’m fine,” Arthur shot back.

“That grip says otherwise. Your knuckles are white.”

“Shut up!”

Gilbert snickered, which earned him a shove.

“Shove him back,” A voice cackled from behind them, “The little bawbag can take it.”

Arthur spun around to throw his brother a hard glare. “Belt up Alastair,” he growled.

The Scotsman only laughed in response before trapping Arthur in a headlock. “See, just like this,” Alastair explained, throwing Gilbert a grin.  

“Alastair!” Arthur hissed as he wiggled in his brother’s grip, “Let me go, you bastard!”

“Alastair,” Another voice interjected, “Come on now. You promised to keep things civil–”

Alastair, Arthur, and Gilbert all turned to find Ludwig standing behind them, a look of horror on his face.

“West, what the hell are you doing here?” Gilbert gaped.

“I-I could ask the same of you.” Ludwig tried to sound stern, but it was clear his nerves were high from being caught.

“Well…This is awkward…” Alastair said with a choked laugh. He made his way over to Ludwig, who had gone a deep shade of red. Alastair gave him a bashful smile before wrapping an arm around his waist and pulling the German close. “The cat’s out of the bag I guess.”

“You…You’re…Lud…Why didn’t you tell me you had a boyfriend? My boyfriend’s brother of all people?” Gilbert stammered.

“Because you’d react like this.”

“Like what?” It was Gilbert’s turn to grip Arthur tightly.

“Protective, overbearing, try to intimidate Alastair.”

“What?” Gilbert scoffed, “I would never.”

Ludwig, Alastair, and even Arthur gave him an unimpressed look. “And what about you?” Ludwig started up again, “Didn’t care to tell me you were dating my boyfriend’s brother either?”

The tips of Gilbert’s ears turned red. “I-I thought we were obvious.”

Arthur rolled his eyes. “Well, now we all know,” he interjected. He grabbed Gilbert’s hand and began pulling him away as the former nation tried desperately to retort. “Goodbye Allie, Ludwig. And don’t you try to pull anything funny with him, Alastair. Ludwig is a good lad.”

“I’m not you,” Alastair teased, “I don’t go around defiling good Christian boys.”

Gilbert’s face reddened while Arthur tensed. Let’s just say a new record was set in how quickly a fight broke out at the British Isles family reunion.

33- What kind of presents do they get each other? Do they only do it on special occasions?

Alastair is very crafty so a lot of his gifts are hand made stuff (ex. wool blankets, sweaters, etc.).

Ludwig tends buy his gifts, but he goes to great lengths figuring out just what Alastair would like.

They agree early on they'll only do it for special occasions. But Alastair often breaks that having "accidentally" made an extra of something. Ludwig knows he's lying, but he's touched by these gifts knowing its one of Allie's main love languages.

GerFruk

29- How do the handle disasters or emergencies? Minor injuries? Sickness?

Francis will always fret over them. Injuries or sickness may be minor, but he'll still fuss making sure they are tended to, stay hydrated, rest etc. In serious emergencies, he's prone to panic, but through his years as a nation he's learned to push through it and figure out ways to help.

Arthur and Ludwig are a bit more level headed. And by level headed I mean they push all emotions down and act to solve the problem/get the person to safety. Minor injuries and illness would be tended to accordingly. Once they've done everything they can and they can't hold their emotions in anymore, they'll just break down, often in one of their lover's arms.

Arthur however is more incline to entertain his lovers when they're sick or they can't get up due to injury often reading/singing to them. Ludwig will try his best to do the same, but Arthur and Francis when sick/injured are content with Ludwig just being there, holding them.

31- Do they finish each other’s sentences? Pick up any phrases or habits from each other? Know when the other is hiding something?

They're not the kind to finish each other's sentences (or more like Arthur and Lud aren't) or picked up any habits from each other (at least not noticeable ones). But they've definetly have gotten good at knowing when one of them is hiding something. Francis has always been scary good at reading people, but in the three's time together, Ludwig and Arthur have picked up on Francis and each other's lying habits. Arthur's hands tend to shake and he avoids eye contact. Ludwig goes even stiffer than usual and also avoids eye contact. Francis will pick at his skin (but he'll hide it by putting his hands behind his back) or bite his lip/cheek.
