Prompt 44
Geralt is cursed to be a monstrous beast. He lives his days in solitude deep in the forest. It was relaxing, he'd try and convince himself, despite the reality being that it was very lonely and depressing. Jaskier is lost in the woods. Dreadfully lost. When something starts hunting him, he takes off like hell, which only makes whatever's chasing him want to chase him more. A monster leaps out at him, only for another monster, a bigger one, to crash into it and begin guarding Jaskier. The monster that saved him resembles a giant wolf, in a way, along with more unique 'beasty' traits.. When the aggressive creature is scared away, Jaskier thanks the damn monster, before noticing that it's hurt! His very own hero! Geralt is confused that the human he saved isn't afraid of him. He is now delicately cleaning his wound and promising to bring him food and flowers as long as Geralt continues to protect him when in the forest. Geralt doesn't think it's too bad a price to pay for food. Even if it's just small treats, given how much bigger than the man he is. Geralt likes Jaskier. When Jaskier realizes Geralt is too smart to just be some animal, things start getting complicated then.

Geraskier Beauty and the Beast AU: Geralt was always seen as a monster, an outcast. One day, he mistakenly crossed a mage and in return was cursed. She gave him a rose and told him that when the last petal fell, he would die unless he found the meaning of true love.
Years later, a young man - Jaskier - wanders into the dark forest, trying to find his way home after he got turned about and strayed off the past. Geralt sends him away, but as they young man leaves, they’re cornered by monsters.
Gerlt runs to his aid, protecting him and fighting off the monster. But Geralt is wounded. He expects the man to run, but he doesn’t. He helps Geralt back to his cabin and tends to his wounds.
Tumblr media
Geralt is abrasive and cold, hiding his feelings and acting like the beast that the world thinks he is. Jaskier’s the complete opposite; he’s energetic, friendly and not afraid to tell Geralt off. With time, the two of them open up to each other and slowly fall in love.
Tumblr media
But the woods are dangerous. The more the towns expand, the more the monsters and mythical creatures are pushed further into the woods. Geralt sends Jaskier home, helping him navigate the forest and watching him leave. He realises that he loves Jaskier, but he has to let him go in order to keep him safe.
Geralt returns to his cabin as the monsters close in. He faces them down, ready to fight even though he knows it’s a losing battle. He gets knocked down when a familiar voice calls out to him.
It is only as the last petal falls that Geralt realises what true love is.

So... Me and @flosimo come up with the idea of disney princess inspired artwork for Jaskier. I choose Belle from Beauty and the Beast just because i think it would work well together. But it might also because of the beauty and the beast au fics I've read.
I tried to make mine as close to the au as possible but also semi historically accurate especially his court wear.≧ω≦
Check out her artwork! <here>

me: *minding my own business*my brain: What if beauty and the beast witcher au.
Jaskier as Belle obviously. Pretty, but fascinated with art, literature, poetry, and *gasps in mock horror* music. And he just has this wanderlust for adventure he can't have. He might have been a viscount once, but it's too faded from his memory, like Belle, his mother is dead, so it's just him and his kind of disgraced father (oc because i can't think of a character to put here)
Priscilla and Essi run the library together and they are practically family to Jaskier. He's read every book in that place at least once but that won't stop him from reading them again.
Valdo Marx gets to be Gaston because who else it quite that hate-able. He's not even a proper bard, he only knows a handful of town approved songs and that is only to show off to Jaskier despite the number of times he has been told that's not the kind of music Jask likes.
Geralt is the beast because, ya know, unlearning being called a monster and all that. He was cursed by a mage for a perceived slight, but he really was just that socially awkward. The decade or so of isolation not not helped his ability to talk to people in anything other than grunts, Jaskier isn't even really sure if he can speak for a bit, if he hadn't already heard him speak in the deal he's made. Geralt's not even really looking for revenge for the buttercups Jaskier's father picked, he just wants to make sure villagers aren't going to come storm the keep and hurt his family. Jaskier gets it kind of, but dammit he's still trapped here and he's still very vocal about not being happy about it.
Eskel and Lambert are the clock and candle stick respectively. Is giving Lambert the ability to set things on fire with his hands a good idea? No not really, but that most certainly has not stopped me. It fits okay. Also, Aiden's in the background as the feather duster love interest because I love him too much as a character concept to cut him out completely.
Yennefer is the wardrobe but she is more supportive in a snarky way to Jaskier at first. Eventually she kind of starts to care more about him (season 2 vibes) because they're both trapped.
Vesemir gets to be Mrs. Potts because if there is anyone capable of taking care of a bunch of reckless kids/trainees it's him. No it does not take him a day to adopt Jask, give him more credit. Jaskier doesn't come downstairs the first day, he adopts him in two. Ciri, in her adventurous spirit and stubborn need to be independent is chip.
Last but not least, Little Bleater is the footstool. Originally, jask doesn't have a horse, but luckily, animals were not included in the curse, so Roach later fills the role of Philipe.
Anyway, this got really long, so I'm ending it here for now. I might right more for this later though.

fairytale au??
Okay so my plan was to give you five separate AUs for this one (five different fairy tales) but I got carried away with the first one, SO: have a Beauty and the Beast AU
Jaskier: a spoiled viscount, given everything he could ask for but desperate for the one thing he really needs: love. Obsessed with music and parties and shiny things, cursed by a witch to punish his cockiness, his selfishness. He’s trapped in the body of a monster, prowling the empty, dusty remains of his once extravagant home. His hands - now no more than twisted claws - are too large to play his lute any more, and he howls into the night - the only music he can muster.
Geralt comes with a contract to kill the beast, but he follows his own code, not the one of the alderman who wants the monster dead. He can sense there’s something within the monster - something human, something desperately sad. So he stays. In the months he spends locked in the house, little snippets of his life spill out - there’s a woman, Jaskier knows. A dark-haired beauty with the power of a god. A child. Brothers, scattered and torn.
Geralt stays until he can hardly bare to leave. But he does. Everyone always does. And Jaskier - well - he and the house are tired to each other, are linked, and he could stop Geralt from leaving if he wanted to. Could make him a prisoner. But he doesn’t. He lets him go, even if it hurts. He doesn’t know the cure for the curse, but he suspects, of course he suspects. He’d hoped that perhaps Geralt would be the one to lift it, but he talks of lilacs and gooseberries and raven hair and then - he’s gone.
It takes Geralt three weeks to find Yen. To describe the monster to her, to swallow his pride and ask for her help. She recognises this kind of curse, and - truly - she wishes it was as easy as snapping her fingers, as gathering the correct herbs and whispering the right words beneath a full moon. She sends him back empty handed. During the three week journey back, snow begins to fall, then blizzard, then pile so high that Roach can barely traverse the roads but still he presses on. He barely sleeps. He rarely eats.
He finds the beast - Jaskier - half-buried in a snowdrift. Even Geralt’s superior hearing can only detect the faintest heartbeat within the matted, hairy chest. With the last of his strength, Geralt drags him from the snow towards the hearth, lights the fire with a burst of Igni, covers Jaskier with his cloak. He huddles over him, mutters hoarse whispers into his fur, apologies and explanations. He grips onto the huge, furry body, and succumbs to the exhaustion of three weeks hard riding. In the morning, he’s awoken by dazzling sunlight. Nestled in his arms, wrapped in his cloak, is a man with shaggy brown hair and hairy arms and a distinct lack of claws or fangs.

I know in every Beauty and the Beast au Geralt is always the beast, but has anyone considered making Jaskier the beast instead?
Consider:
Geralt is a tired Witcher, who believes life has no more to offer him and is now going through the motions of job -> Kaer Morhen for winter -> job -> get yelled at a bit, etc.
Jaskier is a noble whose pretty mouth talked him into a whole world of trouble when he got a bit too flirty with someone he shouldn’t, and that person’s partner, Yennefer, demanded he discover true love rather than ruin the lives and marriages of others
Ciri is Geralt’s Child Surprise, now at an age where she is beginning to branch out on her own, but every few months joins up with Geralt again. Geralt is none too subtly following her trail, pretending he isn’t a worried dad and failing miserably.
Ciri arrives in a village and takes a job: There is a beast in the haunted old castle no one remembers ever being in use, and the villagers can hear it yowling in the night and are concerned that one day it will stalk through the gates and start attacking. Go, investigate, and kill. Confident, Ciri heads out.
Ciri is less confident after stalking through the castle and finding an enchanted rose emitting some kind of cursed magic. Believing it is the thing making the place dangerous, she goes to break it.
Enter Jaskier, a bulky, mangled, pitiful beast who takes one look at her blade next to his rose and without thinking springs forward to protect it. They fight, and in the end he accidentally manages a lucky swipe which flings Ciri into a wall and knocks her out.
Knowing she’ll only come back if he lets her go (and really, where could he take her anyway looking like this? He can’t just waltz right back to the village and hand her over!), Jaskier locks her up in one of the castle’s cells.
The other servants include: Mousesack, who became a tome on history and magic and who used to be Jaskier’s tutor, and Renfri, who was in charge of security and has become a particularly lethal dagger. Jaskier wears her in a strap over his shoulder.
These two always bicker on which direction to take things. Mousesack is diplomatic and careful, while Renfri is direct and deadly.
Sometimes Jaskier has to separate them.
All the time Jaskier has a headache.
Valdo Marx is a chamber pot. No, I won’t elaborate, but let’s just say he as soon as the curse hit he made every grievance he ever had with Jaskier known, makes a point of arguing with him constantly, and the two avoid each other like the plague.
Renfri doesn’t like Valdo Marx.
When Ciri fails to return from her job, Geralt heads out to look for her, entering the castle. There, he finds Ciri in her cell, and then Jaskier, who was worriedly hovering around the corner waiting for her to wake up while also trying to convince Renfri no, we don’t kill people!
Geralt demands Jaskier let her go, and Jaskier, following Renfri’s lead and wishing Mousesack wasn’t down in the library, states that if he does that, she could go and bring back an army. He needs insurance that they won’t.
Geralt offers himself. Ciri is furious at that, but Geralt argues to Jaskier that with him here, Jaskier could easily kill him if Ciri returns, meaning she and any army has to keep away in order for him to stay alive.
Jaskier is a bit hesitant at that, but at Renfri’s instance, agrees. Ciri leaves (after final hug, during which she whispers to him to find the rose in the west wing), and Jaskier takes Geralt to his room.
“My room?” “Would you…Rather stay in a cell?” “Hm.” “Ok. Right. Well then. This way.”
Living in the castle: At first, Geralt is on guard and tense, flinching at every object that comes to life. When they start treating him kindly (minus Renfri) he begins to relax, and slowly starts to realise Jaskier is a great big dork full of mischief and music (which, incidentally, is the yowling the village can hear) and is probably going to get himself killed through sheer accident rather than any kind of mob.
One night, he goes to the west wing. Jaskier finds him. It ends badly.
Meanwhile, Ciri, terrified for Geralt and blaming herself, heads to Kaer Morhen and explains the situation. They start preparing to attack.
Realising he may have the wrong end of the stick, Geralt starts to try and make it up to Jaskier. He discovers a room and a lute and inquires about it, and finds out Jaskier used to play.
Romance~
Then, one night, Jaskier shows Geralt the magic mirror because he wants to see how Ciri is. He sees Ciri getting grabbed by Nilfgaardians, but what he doesn’t see is the other Witchers following behind and getting her out. Believing Ciri is in trouble, Geralt leaves, and Jaskier lets him.
While Geralt is gone, Ciri and the other Witchers arrive and storm the castle, attacking. Having tracked them, Geralt realises what is happening and stops them, but it’s too late, and Jaskier is mortally injured.
“I love you.”
Happy ending!
“I think this has the potential for my greatest ballad yet!” “Jaskier, no.”

Geralt of Rivia and Jaskier, Beauty and the Beast ! AU.
"Once upon a time, in a faraway land, a young prince lived in a shining castle.
Although he had everything his heart desired, the prince was spoiled, selfish, and unkind.
But then, one winter's night, an old beggar woman came to the castle and offered him a single rose in return for shelter from the bitter cold.
Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the prince sneered at the gift and turned the old woman away, but she warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within.
And when he dismissed her again, the old woman's ugliness melted away to reveal a beautiful enchantress.
The prince tried to apologize, but it was too late, for she had seen that there was no love in his heart, and as punishment, she transformed him into a hideous Beast, and placed a powerful spell on the castle, and all who lived there.
Ashamed of his monstrous form, the Beast concealed himself inside his castle, with a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world.
The rose she had offered was truly an enchanted rose, which would bloom until his twenty-first year.
If he could learn to love another, and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken.
If not, he would be doomed to remain a Beast for all time.
As the years passed, he fell into despair, and lost all hope…
For who could ever learn to love a Beast?"

Jaskier and the Beast
(for the love of gods, I’m begging you, leave me some tags and comments on this. I worked really hard and I’d really like feedback/validation)
---
“You can’t just leave me tied here!” Jaskier cried out, listening as the group of men in dark, hooded robes disappeared into the woods around him. He tugged frantically at his bonds and gave a dry, heaving sob. “Come back!”
The young man was terrified. He could feel his heart hammering away in his chest and his lungs had begun to burn with the effort of breathing in and out so quickly. Hyperventilating. He was hyperventilating.
The confused young man had been bound face-first to the trunk of a tree, his wrists fastened tightly together on the opposite side in some strange parody of a hug. The strangers had murmured slow, syrupy words in another language as they tied him into place; their pace grew frenzied and their tone grew more insistent when their leader finally slipped a blindfold over Jaskier’s tearful blue eyes and cut him off from the rest of the world. After he’d lost his sight there had been more strange chanting. Sigils were drawn onto his bare forearms with horsehair brushes and sweetly scented blackberry ink.
Then the young man had been seemingly abandoned.
“Hello?” he called to the darkened forest around him. “Is anyone out there?”
A low, softly rumbling purr erupted from somewhere near his left side and Jaskier jumped in surprise. A wall of warmth approached the left half of his body and a rough, calloused hand slid its way down his arm and through the sigils, smearing them to nonsense.
“Hmm,” a low, gravelly voice hummed. Jaskier’s hands were gently unclenched and examined with great care by whatever creature or person was here in the clearing with him. It paid special attention to the tips of his fingers, where his skin was rough from playing the lute and the harp. He tried not to let his hands tremble where they lay against the creature’s palm but they couldn’t be stopped. “So they have decided to give me a little bird. I suppose that you will have to do.”
“Have to do what?” Jaskier asked, tilting his head up to where he suspected the strange interloper to be. Jaskier gasped in shock when the blindfold was removed and he came face-to-face with the most handsome man he’d ever seen and not, as he’d expected, some kind of hideous monster. The slightly older man had long white hair that fell to his shoulders. It was pulled halfway back to reveal his strong jaw and bright, amber eyes. His teeth were sharp and glinted in the moonlight and his pupils were slit like a cat’s, but Jaskier found himself more entranced or bewitched than frightened. He whispered a slightly different question with just as much frightened urgency, “What will I have to do, My Lord?”
“Be my guest, or prisoner if you so desire, at Kaer Morhen.”
Jaskier gasped softly.
“The Beast!”
The young man felt terror coursing through his veins once again; he’d heard endless stories about the Beast ever since he and his father had moved to the quiet village near the northern border. How he was half-man and half-wolf or how he’d eat any man that offended him. How he’d fought off an entire invading army by himself to keep his family’s ancient fortress intact.
Kaer Morhen, the villagers had whispered with fear in their eyes, If you enter the gates then you never come out.
And here was the Beast himself, staring down at Jaskier with a strange glint in his molten-honey eyes, his hands toying with the rope around Jaskier’s wrists. The young man gulped and lowered his gaze. “I don’t have a choice, do I, My Lord?”
“Did they not tell you why they left you here for me?” the stranger asked, quirking a brow. “Are you unaware of your purpose here tonight?”
“I’ve only just moved into town,” Jaskier whispered. “I’ve only heard rumors.”
“Not anything pleasant, I’m sure. What’s the worst you’ve heard?”
“That you eat people.”
The stranger chuckled lowly and the sound sent a zip of terror down Jaskier’s spine. “Stop panicking,” the Beast huffed and began untying the rope from around his captive’s tender wrists. “It smells bitter. It’s annoying.”
“I’m sorry,” Jaskier apologized. “I’m just a wee bit frightened, is all. Not really sure what’s going on or who you are. Now I’m being taken away to some place I’ve only heard tales about in passing…tales where the main character doesn’t usually come back out alive.”
“Do not fear me,” the Beast ordered, removing the heavy black cloak from around his shoulders to wrap around Jaskier. The younger man hadn’t noticed how chilly it had gotten until he was warm again.
Once the Beast was sure that the material was arranged as well as possible, he hoisted Jaskier into his arms and began to trek further into the woods, away from the village. The Beast sounded distressed as he continued, his voice growing increasingly agitated as he explained Jaskier’s circumstances, “I have no intention of hurting you. Quite the opposite. You see, I wrote to the village elders about a month ago and asked if anyone was interested in becoming my consort. I suppose they threw any real effort at matchmaking out the window when they read my signature so...here you are. Fresh-faced and terrified. My unwilling bride.”
“I’m going to be your...your…”
Jaskier’s blue eyes were unnaturally wide and his heart was beating jack-rabbit fast within the confines of his ribs. Too fast. Geralt’s brow furrowed in concern but it was too late for him to do or say anything of comfort; Jaskier had already fallen limp and unconscious in his arms.
“Fuck.”
---
Jaskier awoke with a gasp, rocketing up into a sitting position. He was alone in an unfamiliar stone room. There was a fire blazing merrily in the hearth and a heavy velvet blanket wrapped tightly around his midsection but he hadn’t a clue where he was. He knew he was sequestered somewhere within the bowels of Kaer Morhen, that much was obvious, but otherwise he was entirely lost.
“H-Hello?” Jaskier half-whispered. He knew the Beast was around here somewhere; or perhaps he’d been abandoned for a second time that night. “Mr. Beast?”
“Geralt,” came that same low baritone from just outside the door. “My name is Geralt. May I come in?”
“Yes?”
“You sound unsure.”
“I don’t see how I can stop you, really. If I said not to enter, would you listen?”
“Of course.”
Geralt sounded confused...which only served to confuse Jaskier in turn.
“But...but aren’t I your captive? Your consort by arrangement?”
“You have a right to privacy,” Geralt huffed, coming around the door frame and fully entering the room. “Consort or not. Which we can discuss.”
“It can be discussed?”
“I won’t keep you here against your will, little bird.”
“Jaskier.”
“A pretty name for a pretty man,” Geralt grinned. The way he smiled was canine-heavy and Jaskier thrilled at the sight of it. His stomach filled with butterflies when he registered the compliment. Why? What was so appealing about this strange, strong but endlessly shy man? The anxious young numan couldn’t deny his obvious attraction to the Beast but Geralt was...but having Geralt as his husband? Forever? After only having known him for less than an hour?
“Perhaps we could spend some time together first,” Jaskier offered. He slid his hand across the velvet duvet and laced his fingers with Geralt’s so very gently. “Tell me, Geralt, what is your favorite color?”
“Right at this very moment?” the Beast asked, looking into Jaskier’s eyes with obvious relief, “Blue.”
“And tell me, Geralt, will you ever lay a hand on me without my permission?”
“Never.”
“Then court me freely, my Beast,” Jaskier smiled. It was the sweetest, most precious smile Geralt had ever laid eyes on. He knew in an instant that he’d do anything in the world to make the young man smile at him like that again. Over and over. He was already addicted to the warm sensation that filled his chest when he was near his little bird.
“Thank you, Jaskier,” Geralt rumbled, lifting their joined hands and pressing his lips to the back of Jaskier’s knuckles. “I very much look forward to wooing you.”
“You’re welcome, Geralt,” his little bird murmured in return, placing his own kiss to the back of the Beast’s chapped knuckles. “I very much look forward to giving you my heart.”

I’m fairly sure I’m not the first one to write a Beauty and the beast AU for Geraskier but I can’t quite recall. Also this was more of an idea dump for me so it all doesn’t connect too well.
But I was watching Beauty and the Beast (the animated one) and I thought that Jaskier would make such a good belle. Yennefer could be the sorceress that curses Geralt. Geralt is the beast except he’s a white wolf by night and his normal hulking self by day. Cirilla could be chip and Calanthe can be Mrs. Pots because I said so. Gaston can be.... I dunno but we’ll figure it out.
The whole thing has a real similar plot to the animated version (just a lot more Witchery things and non-kid-friendly things thrown in). There might be a few things from the French version and the live action thrown in but not really sure.
And to make it even more fun we get to see Geralt struggle to open up and treat Jaskier better, like in the movie, while the bard is painfully oblivious and is too lost in his prancing about to notice Geralt’s attempts at courting him in a weird mix of royal, Witcher and wolf fashion. I’m saying that Vesemir is gonna play Maurice because I like the idea of it but if you don’t then all cool.
Coën, Eskel and Lambert have to be there because I adore all of my Witcher boys so they might play the giant stone guardians that protect the castle when it’s in danger. (That’s a take from the French Beauty and the Beast)
I also like the idea of Jaskier absolute loving his life in the castle (despite being held ‘prisoner’) because all of the clothes they give him are flamboyant and bright and just his style and Geralt hates the clothes when they’re put on him but he doesn’t hate it when the bard wears them. Geralt wears the simple clothing but they are still finely tailored since he was a prince and all that.
So yeah! That was the idea dump I had while watching the movie and now I’m seriously considering writing it as well.

The Witcher Beauty and The Beast AU, A Quiet Village
@a-kind-of-merry-war
Once there was a handsome prince who ruled over the kingdom of Cintra. He loved the arts and was known for his musical talents but sadly he was vain and spoiled. Only expecting the best and most beautiful of everything, never seeing anything for what lies underneath. The women he took were many, not caring for their thoughts or feelings.
This went on until one day on his eighteenth birthday when the woman he bedded and left came back. He laughed at her asks for an apology when she revealed herself to be a powerful sorceress. Only then he begged and pleaded for her forgiveness but it was too late. She cursed him into the form of a beast, to be as heinous outside as he is inside until he could find someone who truly loves him.
But who could ever love a beast?
~~
"Look there-"
"-stay away from him-"
"How odd..."
Geralt hummed as he strode atop Roache through the small town. Ignoring the town's whispers and stares that were to be expected. Pulling up to the town's inn where he dismounted the horse. Patting her as the horse made her way to the water trough.
Entering the building the Witcher's nose was assaulted by a combination of stenches. Namely piss, vomit and ale. He walked over to the innkeeper and set a couple of crowns on the table.
"I need a drink." The woman stared at him for a moment before grabbing a bottle and pouring him a mug. Geralt happily took the drink, retreating into the back corner of the bar. He'd heard stories about a beast that lurked in the ruins of a nearby castle. A cursed creature they said, werewolf, Geralt suspected. A large price put on it's head by the village and Geralt needed the money. He'd planned to head out at night fall in hopes of catching it mid hunt.
"Oi Witcher!" He turned to see one of the villagers making their way over. A few men behind him making Geralt raise an eyebrow. Hand going towards his sword.
"Can I help you?"
"You're here for that contact right?" The man asked adjusting his arm to reveal a Nilfgardian pauldron. "There's no need. We're in charge of defending this town."
"Great job you're doing too. A beast roaming around at night and eating people." The man slammed his hands on the table and Geralt stood up. The leader's lackeys reaching for their swords as they didn't break their gaze.
"I don't take insults in kind Witcher." The man spoke. "Feel free to try and hunt this beast, but know that no one will mourn you when it kills you and leaves your bones for the birds." Geralt eyed the men as he left for the door.
"I'll keep that in mind when I come back for my payment." Geralt grimaced as he feels one of the men spit at his back as he left. They weren't worth the trouble.
~~
"Whoa there Roache," Geralt pulled in his horse's reigns signaling her to slow down. She did allowing him to dismount as he ran a hand over her muzzle. "Good girl..." He reached into his bag and handed her an apple before turning to the castle ruins. It was night now, a crescent moon showing bright in the sky. Drawing his sword for whatever creatures laid ahead.
The Witcher's eyes scanned the area as he approached. His ears picking up howling in the distance.
"Wolves...." He murmured. The man didn't like killing these creatures and he tried avoiding them but they already were aware of someone entering their territory. Howling as they ran towards him the Witcher prepared himself as they attacked. The pack running towards him and attacking.
Geralt slashed as they bit and jumped at him. Snarls and yelps of pain as he sliced through the wolves. Gritting through the bites when one jumped on top of him. Teeth digging into his neck and pulling. Geralt yelled in pain pulling the creature off but faltering to get up. Blood pooling from his neck as he tried to get up.
Shit, of all the fucking things in the world, the thing that was going to finally kill him was a god damn wolf. It might be funny if it wasn't so sad.
Geralt's vision started to fade as he attempted to crawl away from the creatures when a loud growl from behind made the wolves stop their attack. They whimpered and ran away as a dark outline approached the Witcher. As unconsciousness took him Geralt felt hands wrap around him before everything went blank.

Beauty and the Beast AU except not really and it all takes place in Kaer Morhen.
Idk.
A few of the other witchers have already settled in the skeletal remains of the old keep for the winter, straying from The Path and taking the time to grow familiar once more with the closest thing they have to home - to family - and this is the year Geralt extended the invitation to Jaskier.
Jaskier agrees readily, appreciative because of the overwhelming amount of information there is to learn there, but not fully understanding the amount of trust Geralt had just placed in his hands. It wasn't something to take lightly, an invitation such as this, and Geralt isn't entirely sure why he felt the need to invite Jaskier other than the fact that it would've felt wrong otherwise.
The two show up and of course, things just seems to spiral from there. Once the initial shock of Geralt having brought along a companion wears down, it becomes pretty obvious to the rest that there is a LOT of pining going on between the two - a disgusting amount, as Lambert often pointed out.
Que the 'helpful' interferences from the others, along with snippets of advice and meaningful conversations as they attempt to steer the two in the right direction, watching as the two fall headfirst into loving one another once more.
Just. I have so much I want to write about this!! I want the song 'Something There' with this lot of idiots. I want the lingering, almost shy touches between two friends - I want pinkended cheeks and tinkling laughter warming the empty corridors, spilling from the cracked door of Geralt's room as Jaskier teaches him how to pluck out a tune on his lute - I want Geralt carefully correcting Jaskier's stance and he properly teaches him how to wield a sword, crowded close against him, his breath warm from where it fanned across Jaskier's cheeks, soft praises and encouragement tumbling from Geralt's lips - I want the 'oh shit I am helplessly in LOVE with this man' moment from each of them, one where they realize that yes, they could live a life without each other, but why on Earth would they want to? - I want Geralt to come to terms that he isn't an unlovable beast and that he deserves nice things, that he deserves his found family, that he deserves being in love and being loved.
It's 5 am. I am. Soft.
I know this stream of consciousness probably doesn't make sense but listen, I need to talk about this.

Guys, I can't. I just... can't.
I'm watching Beauty and the Beast, and now I can't not see Jaskier and Geralt being them!
(in a more witcher-y way, of course)
Like... yes! The geraskier au is already there!
Also... I know I'm a nobody in this fandom (or tumblr, in general) yet.
But if anyone would like to talk about it...
