appearance:

— has a giant tattoo expanding over his shoulders/back. they look like wings (minus the figure in the middle). they don’t look like the typical tattooed angel wings going downwards, they more-so stretch across his back and the tips end at his deltoids.

— keeps a black cloth wrapped around one of his wrists, at all times. this cloth was torn from shanks’ cloak and [name] keeps it as a safe keeping

— always is wearing a silver necklace. it’s a simple, thin chain that is almost unnoticeable, but he is never seen without it.

— has scars all over his body. they’re not battle scars. they start from his face and go all the way down to his feet. if you were to see his entire body, you would see that most of the scars are single lines that do NOT disconnect from their starting point. they run almost continuously. for example, the scarred line that starts at his face goes all the way down to his feet, without being “interrupted.” origins are unknown.

weapon: a sword that was passed down from shanks and given to him as a gift. he doesn’t know the proper name of it, but it looks like a regular katana. he has never drawn his sword in the series yet, seeing as he only reveals the blade when he is out to very seriously maim, torture, or kill his enemies. the katana radiates an intimidating aura and anyone around [name] can feel it.

standard outfit: just jeans and a t-shirt, nothing crazy goes on here LMFAO or whatever you wanna envision him to be wearing.

abilities: have not been completely revealed, but it does have something to do with water. this explains his ability to control people’s bodies, seeing as their blood and overall body mass has a high percentage of water.

— he has some control over sea water, but only for short bursts of time.

— he is not completely immune to the effects of sea water, though. if he is submerged in it for a long enough period of time <a couple of minutes>, then he will begin drowning and sinking just like a devil fruit eater would.

— did not eat a devil fruit. the origins of his powers are unknown at this time.

— skilled swordsman, source: trust me bro. but seriously, he doesn’t just swing around the sword, even though we’ve never seen him use it, he’s generally very good with weapons of all kinds — but has a specialty in blades.

— has been seen using geppo, soru, and shigan.

favorite food: COFFEE BEANS + SEAFOOD :) cheese

fun facts:

likes: all the strawhats, animals, bitter flavors

dislikes: the world gov + navy, anyone that isn't a strawhat, anything sweet flavored

— the name the government gave him was due to how they could not find any family lineage tied to him

— considers dadan and makino as his mother figures!

— the song he is always humming is for fruits basket <333

— its not that he only drinks coffee and not anything else — like booze, its just he doesnt like the taste of booze. he can drink it, but he wont like it.

— if he were to live in the real world, he would have a job in child protective services. he cares a lot for children. plus he feels the natural instinct to be protective of those around him.

— he can tell if there is anybody nearby due to how he is able to see water concentration to a certain extent. that is why whenever he squints in the distance or at the water, he is looking for something to pop out and is expecting to see someone/something.

— is really offstandish when it comes to strangers. it takes a lot to get trust out of him, but if it’s someone that luffy or the others trust, then he’s quick to lower his guard.

— finds it really amusing whenever chopper, nami, or usopp run to hide behind him when they see any enemies. he doesn’t mind it, but still thinks its really funny whenever it happens.

— he enjoys pissing off zoro, but never brings up their past fight. to him, it was a silly thing that happened in the past so he doesn’t hold it over zoro’s head, plus he saw how much it affected the swordsman.

— hates manspreaders → has a chronic, worst case of manspreading anyone has ever seen

— has the highest debt to nami in the entire crew (somewhere in the 300-400,000)

— the tattoo over ace’s heart are words that he and ace shared with each other (”together in chaos”) when they were children (LOOOREEEE)

— wants to start working out with zoro, but due to their recent adventures hasn’t had the chance to :(

— unlike luffy, he has no qualms in killing his enemies. he wishes he were like luffy in this sense, but he is paranoid that these people will come back for him, or worse — the crew, so he eliminates them when he can.

— [name] really, really wanted vivi to come along. but he didn't verbalize it so as to not pressure her or manipulate the decision of what she herself wanted.

— whenever he wakes up from sleep, he’s in one of three odd positions: 1. luffy and him somehow end up cuddling, 2. he’s on the floor, or 3. he’s (not maliciously aka they're not actually dying.) choking either zoro or sanji with his arm.

— feels particularly protective of nami — not because she is a woman, but because he saw how sick she had gotten and was scared she would die. addtionally, he trusts her and her ability to fight, but if she requests for his help in a battle, he wouldn’t hesitate to go and help her.

— if him and sanji can't sleep at night, they go out on the deck and smoke together until one of them gets tired and they go back to bed.

— rather prideful in being strong. at the same time, he doesn’t really enjoy the nature of his abilities

— [name] had a bad history with the people on whiskey peak, which explains his hostility to them in the beginning chapters (they fooled him by giving him a lot of food, then they tried attacking him while he was sleeping, and he had to fight them.) doesn't like being lied to.

— vivi wishes she could have knighted [name] into holding a formal title as a guardian in the kingdom of alabasta, but igaram rejected the idea. her father and pell were close to agreeing, but ultimately decided that they couldn't and shouldn't seeing as [name] was too infamous for being a lethal pirate. vivi sulked about this for a while.

love language : acts of service and physical touch

— the more comfortable he is with someone, the more likely he is to crack jokes around them. it means hes relaxed and can feel comfortable being himself rather than being on edge and guarded.

— vivi often times hums the song that [name] always hummed, smiling whenever she remembers the amount of memories she had made with the crew. that song has now become her favorite despite her not knowing where it was from or if there were even words that went along with it.

— animal representation: crow

— who would he be if the strawhats were a family? the one younger cousin that keeps running around shouting about how he wants to fight/do something that requires a lot of energy from everyone else (or, cool uncle)

— he actually naturally has a very sweet scent, but since he is always brewing coffee/eating coffee beans, he masks that scent with coffee since he hates it :)

Forget Me (Part 4)

2nd update because I actually wrote a lot already.

You were drinking sake at highest peak at Amazon Lily and you lament your position in Amazon Lily.

You could take on other jobs but there was still a slight chance that Hancock will see you. You don't want to be a member of Kuja Pirates at all (You'd rather die). Apparently, the universe is giving you one choice only.

"Nav-" Before you finish your thought, you spot a ship with large paddles and frown.

"Pirates? Invaders?" You drop the sake and quickly go to the port with your Geppo.

You observe the men and grit your teeth. Looks like your intuition was right.

"Invaders!" Your shout not only alerted the Kuja Members but the invaders as well. The men glance at you in surprise and before they could even react, you already unsheath your sword and begin cutting them one by one.

One of them manages to land a slash across your arm and you hum.

"Not bad." You say as you slash that man as well. You glance around and hum. So many of them stare as you activate your armament haki. "Come." You say coldly and some of them tremble at your bloodlust.

As the ship lands on the port, so many of the Kuja tribe have already drawn their bows and were aiming at it.

"Invaders!" Mari calls out. "Go out with your hands up or else we'll shoot!" They all anticipate men but it was a familiar voice that greeted them.

"No need." You say as you show up on the deck of the ship. You jump down and everyone could see your bloodied state, Sonia and Mari shake as you sigh. "It's not all mine. Explore the ship and see if they have any treasures. I'm going to get-" Before you could a step further, you were hit in the head.

"What are you talking about!? Medic! Get over here immediately!" You see Elder Nyon and you shake your head.

"It's not mine, Elder Nyon. I didn't get hurt much." You glare at the doctors who were getting closer and they stop.

"But-"

"Please. I know myself. More than anyone here does." You didn't mean to but that statement hurt everyone in the vicinity. Specially Gloriosa, Mari and Sonia considering they were your family. You hum as you leave and everyone just watches you.

What the hell?

You were bandaging yourself up as you lament your choice.

'Navy, huh?' You sigh. 'But what else is there? One that makes practically no contact with Han-' You grin as you realize.

"Herbalist!"

"What do you mean she took care of everything?" Hancock reads over the report of the port incident and she almost destroys the paper as she keeps reading on. "WHERE IS SHE RIGHT NOW!?"

"At home, probably-" Hancock storms out of the castle and quickly makes her way towards you while clutching the pendant.

You were planning out everything with your notebook when the door slams open. You pay it no mind as you sense Hancock's presence.

"This is what you call fine!?" Hancock asks as she looks over you. You were full of bandages on both arms and legs and there was even one on your cheek. Hancock gets even more pissed as you don't answer her at all. "Hey!" You sigh and close your notebook.

"Can I help you with anything, Your Majesty?" You ask coldly as you pocket your notebook. Why does she keep on barging in here?

"You-" Hancock shakes her head as she calms herself down. "The port incident." You hum boredly, confirming to her that you were listening. "Why did you leave without any medical assis-"

"Because I don't want anyone touching me." You say and you open the door. "Now please leave, Empress. You might be the ruler but please do not overstep your citizens' boundaries." You say with a smile but your tone was threatening.

"No." Hancock brings out the pendant and you roll your eyes. Of course, she doesn't remember. "What does this mean?"

"Nothing. Please leave."

"There's an engraving here with our names. What does it mean?" She asks again and you yawn at her.

"Nothing. If you're not leaving then I will." Before Hancock could even react, you were already out the door and sneaking into your room's window. You sigh in relief as you plop down on your bed. You close your eyes and sleep.

"Y/N!" The girl you've been crushing on calls out and you sigh as you sit beside her.

"It's dangerous out here, you know?" You say to a younger Boa Hancock and she grins.

"You're not scared at all either, though?" You chuckle at that.

"Fair." You look out over the sea and smile as you feel the air.

"You look cute like that." Hancock says and you blush.

"Stop it." You try to make your blush go away but you pause as you see a necklace in front of you. "Wha-"

"Happy Birthday!" You honestly tried to forget about it as it was a painful reminder that Gloriosa found you on the sea.

"Oh." You look at the engraving and blush at it. "Our names?" You ask and Hancock grins.

"Yeah! I want us to be together forever so I engraved it! It's not as sturdy as stone but it'll work! We'll make it work!"

"Forever, huh?" You smile as you wear the necklace.

You wake up with a startle and groan.

It's been a while since you saw that memory. You used to be so happy when you see it. But now, it just brings you unnecessary pain. You groan as you sit up. You notice that the sun hasn't even come up yet.

"Fuck. I need to be tired." So you run your energy outside.

You were running around the forest when Margaret tackles you.

"Wha- Margaret-"

"I found her! She's here!" She shouts and you were flabbergasted as many Kuja Members mob you and some were even crying in relief.

What is happening????

"The Empress said that you left again. She panicly organized a search party to see if she can figure out where you are." Kikyo explains and you grimace at that.

"Sorry for the trouble." You sigh as everyone releases you.

"No trouble."

"Please don't leave again, Y/N." Sweet Pea pleads and she even cries. You panic as you see most of them were on the verge of tears.

"I won't leave again! I promise!"

"You promise?" Aphrlandra asks and you smile at her. You rustle her head and grin.

"I promise. I won't leave the island again."

You go back to the house and see Elder Nyon sipping her tea.

"That was cruel." You say as you take a seat in front of her. "You could've just told them." You grab a piece of toast and you bite into it.

"And miss the panic look on her face? Never." You hum.

"Did she really?" Elder Nyon nods.

"She desperately looked for you herself everywhere. Nice hiding place, by the way."

"It's just my room."

"Exactly." You hum as you continue eating your breakfast.

Why would she panic?

"She's here!?" Sonia nods in confirmation and Hancock sighs in relief.

When she saw you disappear last night, her whole body felt cold and her heart kept hurting. She's already known how it felt without you for a year. She isn't and will never be ready to repeat that feeling again.

"Do you two know about this necklace?" Hancock shows it to them and the two look at each other.

"Isn't that Y/N's first and last birthday present from you?"

"What?"

"Yeah, I think I remember her saying that we all don't need to give her presents anymore and just focus on training and-"

"Becoming an Empress."

But why this engraving? Why did Hancock give this to you?

Hold up can Lizard use almost all of the six powers post time skip?

She's got half of them down, but the others are still very difficult for her to do. Much to her chagrin, she has to admit that Lucci was correct in saying that two years wasn't enough time to learn all six.

The ones she's good at:

Tekkai/Iron Body - Lucci was particularly hard on her to master this one, but it paid off.

Soru/Shave - Having to dodge Lucci all day everyday will make you get the hang of this one quick.

Shigan/Finger Pistol - Not perfect at it, but can reliably use this.

The ones she struggles with:

Geppo/Moonwalk - Can technically do it, but she hasn't gotten the hang of the balance needed to pull it off. Whenever she attempts to use it, she launches herself off to the side with zero grace.

Rankyaku/Tempest Kick - Sometimes it works, usually it doesn't. She'd prefer to just kick her enemies directly anyways.

Kami-e/Paper Arts - She overly relies on Soru to dodge attacks and never quite got the hang of this one.

There was no attempt to teach Lizard Rokuogan because she doesn't have the other six mastered yet.

Chapter 1: Ready, Steady, Fight!

Your eyes snapped open as your senses pulled you out of your sleep, and you turned to the side just in time to avoid the boot that was coming crashing down toward your chest. You used the momentum of your turn to roll to your feet, staying low as you realized there were two people up on your roof section with you. The ship was sailing, and the sun was unforgivably high in the sky. Sleeping so soundly sprawled out on the roof of the ship was maybe a little more arrogant than you had intended.

"See Killer? Not dead yet." The man who spoke was large. While he was tall and broad-shouldered, there was something about him that was simply big. He loomed effortlessly, and his bright red hair went well with the crimson red fur around his shoulders.

You noticed the man he was talking to only because the red head had been talking to him. Killer, if that was his name, wore a blue and white stripped mask with holes in it, had the wildest blonde hair you'd ever seen, and was wielding two scythe style blades. For some reason his name and mask tickled some memory in you that you couldn't risk focusing on right now.

What did have your attention was the pulse of devil fruit powers coming from the red head that had nearly put his boot through your stomach while you were sleeping.

"Top of the morning, gentlemen." You kept looking between them. Between your ability, your geppo and your armament haki, you were mostly sure you could get out of this alive.

"Cheeky shit, aren't you?" The red head seemed amused. The blonde seemed mute so far. "What in the fuck are you doing on my ship, brat?"

"I was napping," you answered, testing the tension you shifted back, and that was enough to send things into a flurry.

Killer moved wicked fast and the only thing that worked in your favor was how shocked him and the red head were when you caught his blade with your barehand. Well, they didn't know about Haki yet, or hadn't expected you to use it, either way it gave you a chance to control the tempo of the fight. The swing of Killer's weapon wouldn't have done any serious damage. Seems the order of the day was to pin you down and have a long chat.

You shove yourself out from under Killer's blades, stepping away and standing up completely. You were shorter than both of them, but by less than a foot. You didn't have a weapon, but all you needed to do was touch the red head and you'd have, hopefully, an upper hand. The blonde was giving off a focus that made you nervous, but the red head seemed to be enjoying things the more chaotic they got.

You knocked another attack from Killer aside and shifted toward the other guy. His grin was a little alarming, and you weren't sure what power his devil fruit was. Even if he turned into fire, you still only needed to touch that fire and you'd be in business. You decided to go high instead of low and leapt up, pulling your arm back and getting ready swing.

Red was faster than you expected, but the end result was what you wanted. His hand caught your punch, his grin going wide as he realizes you'd thrown a solid punch, but for you it had been like punching brick. You hadn't used your haki because you weren't trying to kill either of these guys, but you probably should've. Once he caught your hand though, it was your turn to grin.

One of the biggest reasons you'd left CP9 behind was because eventually you realized you had a unique gift. When you touched someone who had consumed a devil fruit, you could copy that ability. If you concentrated, you could block their ability to use their own power, but copying was more fun. In CP9's eyes, since you weren't yourself a devil fruit user and could still swim, that made you important, and useful.

You knew why you could do what you could do, but it wasn't like anyone would've believed you, and you had no desire to tell anyone the truth of things anyway.

All they wanted was to essentially work you to death, and unlike Lucci, you didn't revel in the jobs provided.

"What're you smiling about?" The question left him just as you reached your free hand toward Killer.

"Attract!" You commanded, pulling the scythes and gauntlets around the blonde toward yourself. Red released his hold on your fist involuntarily, and you heard the blonde swear as he pulled back against the unexpected force. Looking back, you noticed Red had metal on him. "Repel!"

The shock turned to anger as Red was tossed backward. You took a look around and decided it was time for a change of view. You went to go off the side of this crowded roof when you heard the red head yell.

"Attract!"

"Hurk!" The wind was nearly yanked out of you as your belt buckle pushed into your stomach with impressive force, yanking you in the direction of the angry devil fruit user. You had completely forgotten you had any metal on, and in your defense you'd never had it used against you like this either. You turned to face him as you continued to be pulled toward him.

A large cloud of metal was forming around him and was being shaped into a metal hand and arm. Now that was an interesting way to utilize that ability. The arm came crashing down toward you, and you shouted to repel it.

Repelling metal being controlled by someone was not as effective as repelling metal that wasn't being controlled, but the conflicting forces slowed the momentum of the attack. What slammed into you hurt, but not as much as it had been meant to. You took the blow, blocking some of it with armament haki, and letting the rest of it slide you closer to the edge of the roof, which was where you wanted to be.

You undid your belt and pulled it off, tossing it onto the roof before letting yourself fall backward. The two on the roof knew how to fight, and you needed to get yourself some space, and some sort of weapon. The crew on the deck stepped away from you as you geppo'd to slow your descent and landed in the midst of them. You couldn't see land, now that you had a second to look at something other than Red and Killer.

The crew was like walking into music convention for people who like angry music. You saw something to help you and focused on an unattended metal pipe. You didn't need to yell to use this ability, but it helped you focus. The pipe slipped into your hands and the crew became visibly unnerved.

A second later Red came leaping off the roof, using his power to slow himself. Well, kind of. It's more like he crashed metal ahead of himself and landed on it. Killer landed neatly beside him. You twirled your new metal staff and settled into a stance.

"How in the hell did you copy my ability?" He demanded.

You shrug. "Who knows, I've not eaten a devil fruit, if that's what you're thinking." It was easier to focus with both of them in front of you. The rest of this crew wasn't weak, but those two were easily the most dangerous ones on the whole ship.

Metal scraped and shifted as he stepped down onto the deck, "What do you think is gonna happen, girlie?"

You laugh, "I have no idea. Whatever happens I won't be caught by CP9, and if I'm really lucky, you might just let me live." Your pose was more relaxed, and you pointed the staff toward the red head. "If I beat your ass or his ass, can I join the crew?"

That amused smile was back, but the edge to it was unmistakable. "You think you can take either of us?"

"I think my odds are better one on one vs trying to keep ahead of the both of you at once." You admit. "I'd rather be a pirate than dead."

"If we rush you and hand you over to CP9, then what?" There was a glint in Red's eyes, but you had a suspicion that option wasn't one he wanted to take.

Your lighthearted vibe evaporated, and you glared back at him. "If that's your choice, then I'll leave you to your ship and take my chances in the ocean, better drowned at sea than with CP9."

"Better a pirate than dead, and better dead than caught." The red head mused. The metal around him shifted and he sat down on a makeshift metal throne. "Killer."

"Aye, aye, Captain." The blonde started toward you, the blades on his arms beginning to spin. Finally, the memory of how you knew him came to you.

Killer, second in command of the Kid Pirates, second only to Eustass 'Captain' Kid, otherwise known as the Massacre Solider because of his weapons. Of all the gods-be-damned ships to find yourself on, you were onboard a Super Rookie's ship.

"Captain Kid, and Killer. Well, shit." You swore and planted your feet as Killer moved toward you in earnest. You wondered vaguely how long you were going to have to hold out against someone known as the Massacre Solider, epitaphs like that weren't exactly handed out like candy.

Killer had more muscle and reach than you did, but you had excellent control of your armament haki, and you still had Kid's devil fruit ability. After a few moments it was obvious that Killer was used to fighting his Captain, or they sparred extensively, because the use of the fruit's power was lessened. It didn't help that magnetism was diminished when the blades were being whipped around by centrifugal force. It was also hard to read Killer when you couldn't see his face. He wasn't the chatty type either.

You used every trick you had. You geppo'd up into the air and then let yourself drop like a rock, leading with the metal staff. You went low and tried to knock his legs out from under him. You managed a few solid hits, but he was built of the same stone and brick his captain was. It was like battering yourself up against an immovable object.

They say you can get to know someone best by fighting them, and it wasn't something you had particularly believed. As this fight dragged on though, you found yourself drawn to the silent man behind the mask. There was something resolute in Killer's fighting style, it was oddly kind, but also completely unyielding. If he had to lay waste to mountains to save his crew he would, but he also gave a feeling like he'd move to avoid crushing a flower. The conflicting mix was balanced well within him, and that was intriguing.

You took a few hits from Killer, and only by the grace of your haki did you keep your limbs intact. After eight minutes you no longer had use of Eustass' power. You couldn't copy someone's devil fruit permanently, and the metal pipe was working against you now, the weight of it was too much. You were used to infusing a wooden staff with haki and using that, and without the magnetic power from earlier you couldn't counterbalance the weight of it.

You tossed it off to the side and changed your stance, breathing hard and keeping your eyes on Killer. This was the longest fight you'd been in for some time, since you usually just ran from any CP9 agents, and most other people weren't strong enough to stand up to your haki. You could see Killer breathing hard too, but not as bad as you were.

"Tell me you were going easy on me," you gasped, hoping you could get him to talk and give yourself half a chance to catch your breath.

He shook his head, and then dropped his gauntlets to the ground and came at you with bare fists. Well, however this fight was going to resolve, it didn't seem like you were going to be chopped up into itty bitty pieces. Not that pummeled to death was any more a relaxing way to go than sliced up into pieces.

You were both lighter on your feet without the weapons, and that was still more of an advantage for him than for you. But you knew a lot of different fighting styles. You took a moment to get a feel for his rhythm, counting your blessings you had the stamina left to do so. You took a couple hits in the process, not only was it like hitting a brick wall, but it was like being hit by a brick wall. Even with armament haki you could feel the weight and practiced movements of his blows ripple through your body.

Killer fought with his fists like Jabra did. Heavy swings that were unfairly swift. Your only advantage was that you were a little faster and had the added defense and offense of your haki.

You shifted to the side from a jab, caught his wrist and pivoted, stepping into him, and using your lower center of gravity along with his momentum to flip him over your shoulder. You heard him make a noise for the first time since your spar started, and he landed hard on his back on the deck as you stepped back to try and catch your breath again. Even using his momentum against him it was like flipping a boulder over your shoulder.

You stumbled half a step, but kept your feet under you, as Killer got back up onto his feet.

"You didn't follow through." He stated. He was out of breath almost as much as you were, finally.

"Huh?" You tilted your head to the side, confused.

He dusted himself off. "After you tossed me, you should've attacked."

"But then I would've cracked your mask." You replied, still feeling – and looking – confused.

Killer's shoulders shifted up and down, like he was laughing without making a sound. He put his hands up to signal he weren't going to keep fighting and you relaxed how you were standing.

"I vote we keep her," Killer said.

"Fight's well enough." Eustass said so close to your back that you jumped and fell backward.

"Holy hells!" You exclaim as your butt hits the deck.

"Congratulations Short stack," Eustass said, leaning down and looming overhead. "You went from being on my kill list to being on my crew."

You smiled, "Pleasure to be aboard, Cap'n." You admitted, and then let yourself lay out flat on the deck to catch your breath.
