It's been a year since you came back.

Eleven months since you and Hancock started dating.

And now, the day has come. Luffy needed to get back to his crew. To his family.

You were on board on the Kuja Pirates' ship. A very rare sight as you hated being on it.

"Why do you hate it?" Mari asks out of nowhere and you look at her. You blush.

"It's a cheesy answer." Sonia and Mari look at each other.

"Tell us." You sigh.

"I always saw it as a signal." Unbeknownst to you, Hancock was listening in, cleverly hidden besides her sister.

"A signal?" Mari asks and you nod.

"A signal that marks Hancock getting away from me." You sigh. "Everytime I had to stay on the island. I had to be the leader when she couldn't. I hated always seeing this ship's back because of how lonely my heart can get." You blush furiously as you recall the details of your used to be unrequited love. You try to hide your face onto your body when someone turns you around and hugs you. You relax instantly when you realize who it was.

"From now on, you'll get on with me. I won't leave you behind ever again." You look at her.

"You sure about that, empress? Someone needs to lead our people." You challenge and she just smiles at you.

"This is why we should have kids already. They can-" You stop her by covering her mouth.

"Hancock! Too fast! And we're young!" Hancock pouts at you.

"But I want-!"

"Shut up! Stop saying you want kids for your birthday! Not happening!"

"True. Besides Y/N has always wanted marriage before kids, right?" Mari says and you freeze.

"True. True. Remember what she used to tell us?" Mari and Sonia grin at each other.

"She wants to make sure that her wife is safe and sound at all times?" Mari recalls.

"No. Mari. The other thing." Mari hums.

"Ah. That she wants one of her kids to be a carbon copy of her wife!" You blush at that and groan.

"You two! Leave me alone!" You shout and they both giggle as you try to resist Hancock's stare.

"A copy of me, huh?" You glare at her.

"Are you my wife? I said I want a copy of my wife." You retort and she immediately shakes you.

"Huh!? Who else could it be but me!?" You look away from her.

"You never know what the-"

"Then I'll just have to make sure that it's me!" She declares and you frown.

"And how exactly are you going to do that?"

"I'll marry you!" You blush at her declaration as everyone onboard heard it. Probably some people on the docks too.

"Hancock!" You glare at her.

"What? Do you want a proposal? I can do one-"

"I am not going to get a proposal while we're sailing! Absolutely not!"

You all land at Rusukaina and you were the first to land.

"Whoa. This place is awesome. I wanna make a map!"

"You can, babe. If you promi-"

"I can draw a map without marrying you, Hancock." You use Geppo and grin at the sight of the whole island. "Give me two hours!" You run away and observe every road and plants in it.

"She's so excited. It's adorable." Hancock says and Sonia smiles.

"We haven't seen her that excited since we were kids." Hancock nods in agreement then she sends out everyone else to go get Luffy.

You were just observing from a high vantage when you feel it. Haki.

The pressure perks you up and you quickly go to it's source. You see a strawhat then you grin.

"Strawhat!" You call out and Luffy looks at you. You quickly kick him from above and he dodges away from you. All the animals gets scared by your sudden attack and Luffy tilts his head at you.

"Who are you?" He asks and you smile.

"The name's Y/N. I'm Hancock's assistant back when you first came to the island. Sorry, I never met you formally when you first came. I was busy running around." 'And I avoided you like the plague because I thought the love of my life was falling for you.'

"Ah. Y/N! I finally met you! Everyone always tells me about you back then!"

"Huh?"

"Yeah! So many of them always boasts about you. Even Elder Nyon!" You blush at the thought.

"Anyway. Wanna spar? Until they find us?" Luffy readies his stance.

"Let's do it!"

Hancock was about to tell the members where Luffy could possibly be when they all feel it. A clash of hakis. Two powerful ones.

"Ah. Y/N found him." Sonia points out.

"Since when did she become a battle maniac?" Mari asks.

"Sis. She always has been. She just didn't have Haki so the pressure wasn't that immense. But now that she has?" Everyone sighs at the thought.

"At least she comes home with less injuries." Hancock points out and both the Boa sisters agree.

"Ugh. Remember that one time her arm got bitten by a lion?" Everyone else shudders at the memory.

"Nah. The worst one has to be when she tried to swim with the Sea Kings. She fainted for a week."

"She's an idiot." Sonia concludes.

"Sis, you're marrying an idiot." Mari confirms.

"Yeah. But she's my idiot." Hancock fondly says. "I'll get them myself. You all stay here."

Hancock sees the two and she can't help but smile at the smiles on them.

Both you and Luffy were panting but still grinning at each other.

"Luffy. Y/N. We should go. The trip to Sabaody will take days." They both look at Hancock then at each other.

"Yeah. Sorry. I just had to spar with him, Hancock." You apologize but Hancock waves the apology away. She produces a towel out of nowhere and gets closer to where you and Luffy are.

"I'm fine. I don-" Luffy stops himself as Hancock doesn't go to him but to you instead. She gently and fondly wipes away your sweat.

"Oh. Thanks. Luffy gave me a hard time." You say with a chuckle and she nods as she pats your head.

"I get that no one can spar with you back on the island but I promise, I'll do it more often." You beam at that.

"Really? That'll be awesome!" Hancock can't help but kiss you and Luffy laughs. Hancock looks at him.

"Hancock. Congrats. You two suit each other than you and I do." Hancock smugly smirks at him.

"Of course, we do."

"I knew it. I wasn't imagining it when you talk about her fondly." You look at Luffy then at Hancock.

"Huh?" Hancock blushes and you look even more confused. Luffy begins to walk to the direction that Hancock has pointed to.

"Let's go! I can't wait to see my friends!" You get dragged by Hancock back to the ship as you question everything.

You were still dazingly staring out into the sea when Hancock intertwines her fingers with yours.

"Are you still thinking about what Luffy said earlier?" You snap out of it and look at her.

"I mean- you- you talked about me??" Hancock hums.

"Luffy was interesting. I was fascinated by his adventures. And his goofy nature. When he talked about Ace fondly, I talked about you. I thought for a second there that I thought of you only as a sibling."

"But Luffy sensed something more?" Hancock chuckles.

"Kids are more sensitive than adults are." You laugh at that.

"I wanna train at Rusukaina too." Hancock squeezes your hand. She knew it was coming. Your utter fascination with new discoveries, passion about drawing maps, and drive to become better will always lead you away from her. Hancock knew that. So she wanted to compromise.

"I will-"

"Wanna come with?" Before Hancock could finish, you cut her off decisively. "As much as I want to just train, both you and I have duties and responsibilities. So how about a yearly monthly training session?" You propose. "A whole month for us both then we go back and do our duties. I think it'll help us."

"A whole month for just us two. Y/N, babe, if I didn't know any better, I'd think you were seducing me." You blush at the implication and look away from her.

"So what if I am? Got a problem with that?" You say but the utter red on your face, ears and even hands betray you. Hancock turns your face to face her and her heart pounds loudly in her chest as she takes you in.

Your red face.

Red ears.

Eyes that clearly convery nervousness but are still staring straight at hers.

Your shaking hands.

God. You were perfect. So perfect for her.

And so she could only do one thing.

To appreciate you. To feel you.

She kisses you. So gently. She can't help but savor you.

You pull away after a minute. You dazingly look at her and she can't help but kiss you again.

"I-is that a yes or a no?" You ask nervously and she chuckles.

"It's a yes." You sigh in relief. "And here I thought I would propose first." Her words make you pause. It takes you a second and you blush furiously. Hancock laughs at your color.

"Shut up! This isn't a proposal!" You retort and she only chuckles.

"Really? But here you are, already planning for the future. Our future." You sputter and deny it once again with a shout.

"SHUT UP! NOT A PROPOSAL!"

— has a giant tattoo expanding over his shoulders/back. they look like wings (minus the figure in the middle). they don’t look like the typical tattooed angel wings going downwards, they more-so stretch across his back and the tips end at his deltoids.

— keeps a black cloth wrapped around one of his wrists, at all times. this cloth was torn from shanks’ cloak and [name] keeps it as a safe keeping

— always is wearing a silver necklace. it’s a simple, thin chain that is almost unnoticeable, but he is never seen without it.

— has scars all over his body. they’re not battle scars. they start from his face and go all the way down to his feet. if you were to see his entire body, you would see that most of the scars are single lines that do NOT disconnect from their starting point. they run almost continuously. for example, the scarred line that starts at his face goes all the way down to his feet, without being “interrupted.” origins are unknown.

weapon: a sword that was passed down from shanks and given to him as a gift. he doesn’t know the proper name of it, but it looks like a regular katana. he has never drawn his sword in the series yet, seeing as he only reveals the blade when he is out to very seriously maim, torture, or kill his enemies. the katana radiates an intimidating aura and anyone around [name] can feel it.

standard outfit: just jeans and a t-shirt, nothing crazy goes on here LMFAO or whatever you wanna envision him to be wearing.

abilities: have not been completely revealed, but it does have something to do with water. this explains his ability to control people’s bodies, seeing as their blood and overall body mass has a high percentage of water.

— he has some control over sea water, but only for short bursts of time.

— he is not completely immune to the effects of sea water, though. if he is submerged in it for a long enough period of time <a couple of minutes>, then he will begin drowning and sinking just like a devil fruit eater would.

— did not eat a devil fruit. the origins of his powers are unknown at this time.

— skilled swordsman, source: trust me bro. but seriously, he doesn’t just swing around the sword, even though we’ve never seen him use it, he’s generally very good with weapons of all kinds — but has a specialty in blades.

— has been seen using geppo, soru, and shigan.

— the name the government gave him was due to how they could not find any family lineage tied to him

— considers dadan and makino as his mother figures!

— the song he is always humming is for fruits basket <333

— its not that he only drinks coffee and not anything else — like booze, its just he doesnt like the taste of booze. he can drink it, but he wont like it.

— if he were to live in the real world, he would have a job in child protective services. he cares a lot for children. plus he feels the natural instinct to be protective of those around him.

— he can tell if there is anybody nearby due to how he is able to see water concentration to a certain extent. that is why whenever he squints in the distance or at the water, he is looking for something to pop out and is expecting to see someone/something.

— is really offstandish when it comes to strangers. it takes a lot to get trust out of him, but if it’s someone that luffy or the others trust, then he’s quick to lower his guard.

— finds it really amusing whenever chopper, nami, or usopp run to hide behind him when they see any enemies. he doesn’t mind it, but still thinks its really funny whenever it happens.

— he enjoys pissing off zoro, but never brings up their past fight. to him, it was a silly thing that happened in the past so he doesn’t hold it over zoro’s head, plus he saw how much it affected the swordsman.

— hates manspreaders → has a chronic, worst case of manspreading anyone has ever seen

— has the highest debt to nami in the entire crew (somewhere in the 300-400,000)

— the tattoo over ace’s heart are words that he and ace shared with each other (”together in chaos”) when they were children (LOOOREEEE)

— wants to start working out with zoro, but due to their recent adventures hasn’t had the chance to :(

— unlike luffy, he has no qualms in killing his enemies. he wishes he were like luffy in this sense, but he is paranoid that these people will come back for him, or worse — the crew, so he eliminates them when he can.

— [name] really, really wanted vivi to come along. but he didn't verbalize it so as to not pressure her or manipulate the decision of what she herself wanted.

— whenever he wakes up from sleep, he’s in one of three odd positions: 1. luffy and him somehow end up cuddling, 2. he’s on the floor, or 3. he’s (not maliciously aka they're not actually dying.) choking either zoro or sanji with his arm.

— feels particularly protective of nami — not because she is a woman, but because he saw how sick she had gotten and was scared she would die. addtionally, he trusts her and her ability to fight, but if she requests for his help in a battle, he wouldn’t hesitate to go and help her.

— vivi wishes she could have knighted [name] into holding a formal title as a guardian in the kingdom of alabasta, but igaram rejected the idea. her father and pell were close to agreeing, but ultimately decided that they couldn't and shouldn't seeing as [name] was too infamous for being a lethal pirate. vivi sulked about this for a while.

— the more comfortable he is with someone, the more likely he is to crack jokes around them. it means hes relaxed and can feel comfortable being himself rather than being on edge and guarded.

born in the north blue to clover d. mavis, iselda is the grand niece of professor clover. though, she never meets him as her mother has been away from ohara on an exploration of the world for a few years by then. iselda's father is a marine who mavis nursed back to health after finding him shipwrecked and separated from his unit.

despite her wariness, the two fall in love and iselda is born. however, after seven years, her father wishes to return to the navy. holding onto her desire to travel the world once more and to continue her explorations, as well as the knowledge that as an oharan citizen could put herself and iselda in danger, they separate reluctantly.

on the island iselda is born, there's an oracle who reveals she knows mavis' secret as an inheritor of D. she foretells that iselda will bring ruin and chaos "at the appointed time".

iselda loses her arm at 10 years old after a traumatic event, involving bandits on an island her and her mother are exploring. the event results in her cutting off her own arm and nearly dying if it wasn't for the village's doctor.

while mavis' travels aren't with the purpose of finding information on the void century and even more so now that she has iselda, she finds important information regarding the poneglyphs and makes the decision to return to ohara.

on the way to ohara, the pair are shipwrecked and separated. iselda drifts for some time until she washes ashore on an island. the very same one where she'd lost her arm, and they nurse her back to help. she's about 14-15 years old at this point.

a few days later, the report about ohara comes in and she's struck with grief. her mother had shared brief truths about the island and their goal, but had emphasized this as a secret never to be revealed. days after that, they received the wanted poster for nico robin.

at 17 years old, the island is overrun by corrupt marines, seeking to extort money from the village and use the place as a secret base for their dealings. in the year that they occupy the town, iselda listens in on their dealings and hatches a plan to infiltrate the navy to learn more about the truth of ohara.

at 18, before she leaves to enlist for the navy--- as a show of gratitude to the town, she destroys the makeshift base and launches an attack on the marines left behind there while the others had returned to headquarters.

after successfully enlisting into the navy, she is first trained within a unit headed by sengoku, where she meets donquixote rosinante, but shortly thereafter is transferred to be trained under monkey d. garp.

she rises through the ranks to captain, but stops there as she doesn't want to owe more "loyalty" than she needs to do the world government.

she's deeply affected by the death of donquixote rosinante, dropping off the grid for several months before returning to the navy to fulfill her original purpose and to exact revenge on those responsible for his death.

she later joins SWORD --- on a mission with them, she comes across the revolutionary army. from there, she begins to help the army using the navy only in name.

by this time, she meets monkey d. dragon and learns of the inherited will of ohara. (more on present arc tbd).

possible in-world connections ... iselda's world is very open to interacting with anyone, whether pirate, revo army, marines, canon and oc alike. specifically, nico robin, trafalgar law, monkey d. garp, monkey d. dragon, koby, kuzan, doflamingo, etc.

additional information/plot points/tidbits ...

iselda is often late or just on time. she has been left behind a number of times and stranded on islands, needing to seek passage to her destination. she's also late to meetings, appointments, etc.

she pretends to have a bad memory. in reality, she has an excellent memory.

she's deeply conflicted by her position in the navy. regardless of her goals and her reasons for being there, iselda recognizes the conflict it presents to her own nature + belief system.

she has a casual obsession with being a D inheritor. although, she has come to realize that the path she has taken will likely result in her death, some part of her wonders if the reason she hasn't died yet is because the will of D hasn't yet found her death's purpose.
