Akhirnya silaturahmi juga nih dengan kampret satu yang namanya corona virus disease. Bukan, bukan aku tapi Papa yang disambangi duluan.

I got another heartbreak when I saw the result. Udah nggak kepikiran ini virus sumbernya darimana, nularin lewat siapa, fuck it. Aku dan Mama sudah menyiapkan worst case ini sejak Papa menunjukkan adanya gejala. Tidur kami terpisah, makan dan minum pun kami tidak lagi duduk bersama di satu meja. Begitu hasil lab menunjukkan konfirmasi positif, yang dilakukan udah kayak satsetsatset mulai dari menghubungi saudara yang akan memantau kesehatan kami bertiga, lapor ke Pak RT via chat dan telpon whatsapp, memberi kabar ke tetangga sebelah dan teman sekantor Papa, sempoyongan melapor ke puskesmas terdekat, beli obat-obatan dan vitamin yang dibutuhkan Papa dan lain sebagainya.

Rasanya kayak waktu berputar sangat cepat dan nggak mengizinkan untuk berleha-leha. Otak rasanya nggak berhenti untuk berpikir, apa lagi ya yang dibutuhin Papa, aku kudu bertingkah gimana ya biar bikin Mama tetep happy dan ketawa, Papa mau dibelikan makanan apa lagi setelah ini biar makannya banyak, pundi-pundi masih aman kah dan bahkan saking banyaknya yang ku pikirkan nggak ada waktu yang tersisa buat mikirin gebetan wkwk kek punya aja dah.

Kualitas tidur gimana?

Waaah cuma bisa tidur ayam kalau boleh dibilang, 2-4 jam sekali kebangun. Begitu kebangun langsung cek saturasi oksigen dan suhu badan Papa dan Mama. Keluar dari kamar Papa semprat semprot sebadan baru masuk ke kamar Mama. Meski tiap masuk ke kamar Mama kena protes,

"Orang Mama nggak kenapa-kenapa lo kak. Kan yang sakit Papa, kenapa Mama ikutan di cek segala."

Dan tanggapanku cuma bisa geal-geolin pantat di depan Mama sambil bilang "Nggak boleh bawel, manut aja." biar Mama ketawa. Selesai cek keadaan Mama dan Papa langsung ku tulis hasilnya buat pendataan sendiri di kertas, biar terkontrol.

Nafsu makan gimana?

Nafsu makan Papa turun drastis, ngelihat nasi atau bubur aja bawaannya udah mau muntah katanya. Tiap jam makan, aku dan Mama bertingkah layaknya badut sirkus yang lagi atraksi sambil ngomel di depan kaca kamar Papa. Nggak berhenti-berhenti bilang, "Pa, dihabisin makannyaa~ itu minum air hangatnya juga diminum~ obat sama vitaminnya disitu yaa~ sedikit-sedikit aja sambil nyemilin jajan juga nggak apa-apa. Kerasa sesak nggak? Masih pusing?"

Diomelin sebegitu panjang pun, tanggapan Papa cuma bisa iya dan tidak.

Kelar beratraksi sirkus, baru lah datang giliran aku dan Mama makan. Kami makan secara bergantian, biar buka maskernya nggak barengan. Selesai Mama makan, barulah aku menghabiskan sisa-sisa makanan yang ada. Setiap makan aku menyemangati diri sendiri dalam hati, "yuk makan yang banyak yuk, nggak apa-apa kalaupun sekiranya berat badan sampai 60 kg. Mau bentukan badan ntar kelihatan kayak gentong, tetep imut kok." Eits, nggak boleh protes, agak gila memang mohon dimaklumi.

Banyak yang bilang virus ini menyerang nggak hanya fisik penderita tapi juga mental orang-orang terdekatnya. Betul, pendapat ini tidak ada letak kesalahannya. Malu sebetulnya kalau tulisan ini terlihat seperti mengeluh, kondisiku ini nggak ada apa-apanya kalau dibandingkan dengan perjuangan para nakes diluar sana. Maksud dan tujuan tulisan ini dibuat bukan untuk menakut-nakuti, but I've tried to stay sane. Saking nggak taunya harus menumpahkan segalanya kemana sebetulnya, hehe.

Anyway, she wasn't jealous. She knew it. What was there to be jealous of? George was just her friend. Nothing more. She didn't feel anything like what he was accusing her of. Not even a bit. He was wrong. She was so sure of it. She couldn't let herself waver, let herself hurt. Not again. It's not like they had a "will they, won't they" thing going on all these years or anything. She finally fixed her gaze on him, a bit notably panicked. She had deer in headlights written all over her face. She forced herself to hold eye contact, to prove what she was saying. "You're nuts." She deflected, biting her lower lip, clearly on the spot.

Unsweet Sixteen

April 4th, 2008 - the first Friday after her birthday, and the night of her and her twin Sebastien's party. Sixteen by No Doubt blared on the speakers; her sister Amelie had insisted on a themed playlist. She shrugged off her faux stole, setting it down carelessly on the buffet table. Her birthday celebration was absolutely not going according to plan. Rosaline felt like a total idiot. Why had she believed him in the first place? That jackass was constantly lying to her and she knew it even without all her friends telling her so; she should've known Eric would bail on debuting officially as her boyfriend at her party. It was over now, though. He had some fucking nerve, and this was the last straw. Beyond that, her idiot other half Sebastien had dropped their birthday cake on the way into the party. She'd managed not to have a tantrum yet, but this party fucking blew. What was next? She just wanted to have a decent night at this point. Just decent would do.

She shot a knowing half-smile to her best friend and resident center of her world, George, as he held out a red rose for her. He knew she hated them because of her name, but he was making sure everyone in this place didn't pity her - with the first flower he'd found on a table center piece, she was sure. He was making sure she wasn't alone. Now that George was here, Rose was sure she would have a good time. "Thanks." She mouthed, eyes clearly still a little moist. She blinked a few times and managed to rid herself of the tears without shedding them as she pulled him into a light hug. What a sweet sixteen she mused with her arms around his neck. "At least I've always got you by my side." She muttered in his ear softly, nuzzling into his neck for a couple seconds. The rose scent wafted towards her as she held him close. She pulled back to kiss his cheek faintly, smiling now. "Seriously, thank you." She said aloud this time, locking eyes with him. "You're my rock, George Lewis." This wasn't going to help the dating rumors at all.

Just then, Teenagers by My Chemical Romance started. She could hardly hear him over the music and the loud crowd. "What?" She half shouted. The place was going crazy now because MCR was still all the rage among her masochistic friends, but she didn't take her eyes off of him, hands still clasped behind his neck. Besides, she wasn't dancing until Low by Flo Rida came on or until she was shitfaced unless he forced her to. She was sure someone brought free booze to their party. Hell, her older brother Thierry probably had some. She had a bottle of flavored vodka on reserve at home too, courtesy of Meli. Rose was the baby of the family, albeit by only a little over three hours. Her older siblings let her get wild as long as she was safe with them, or safe at home. She'd have to invite George over to drink tonight to repay him for escorting her tonight.
