7)Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?*

Hmmm when it comes to Saiyuki nothing comes to mind really, if anything the older I get the more I find myself to like things and especially characters that I didn’t like/didn’t care about when I was a kid (e.g: going from hating Gyokumen and Li Touten and ending up finding them well-realized and interesting villains). But if I have to answer… when I was 11-12 I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE Gensoumaden, as I was introduced to Saiyuki through the airing of the anime, while nowadays I can barely watch an episode of it without feeling the cringe :’) But I can’t say that I hate due to nostalgic reasons, it’s just that.. it’s bad. It’s really, really bad :’) It didn’t age well at all, and If I ever wanna re-live those early 2000’s feels, I’d much rather read the first volume of the manga instead the, which I’ve done countless times. (the italian dub is top-notch though, probably the best thing of the anime)

8)Have you received anon hate? What about?*

In the Saiyuki fandom?? NO WAY! Not only I’ve never received any type of hate, on and/or off anon, but all I’ve ever got was nothing but love and support from anyone I’ve encountered :’) Sure, I started interacting with the fandom in its later years, as back when the community was much bigger I was very young and was too intimidated to interact, so perhaps there has been some drama back in the day, but as for now I can safely declare that this is probably the chillest, most welcoming and most supportive fandom ever :3

14)Unpopular opinion about your fandom?

Hahah I love it that I gushed so much about the Saiyuki fandom one question ago and now I am forced to let the salt come out >:)Kidding aside, I guess that I do have an “unpopular” opinion about my fandom, or better, something that makes me unreasonably salty and a bit bitter: it’s most people’s lack of interest towards Ibun. Shocking, right? ;)I mean, I get it. Some people are mostly invested in the ikkou, or in general they gravitate more towards the more “relevant” characters of the main series. We’ve only got one volume, that’s not enough for many people to develop an attatchment towards characters that we’ve only seen once. BUT… everytime I look at at the Ibun boys I’m like: “OMFG you’re all so perfect you’re my beautiful sons let me love youuuu~” and I just can’t  understand why everyone doesn’t feel the same about it :’) I know, it’s really dumb and I can’t pretend that everyone sees it the same way as I do, but I can’t help it, I’m so biased towards it I just wish it was more popular, that’s all :’) Luckily enough I have found a small but vocal minority of Ibun lovers, which I’m forever grateful for

(also, still related to Ibun-salt: one thing that also kinda grates me is when people read Ibun and only focus on Houmei >
