Various SelfAware GenshinAU Ideas

Kind of an Imposter!AU, but instead of someone else taking the role, the true Creator gives you the role because they didn't want it.

Imposter!AU where Teyvat itself wishes to enact vengeance on those who have hurt you and falsely made you out to be a monster. To make those who have made you, the lands most beloved God, suffer suffer in turn. You are the only thing holding back the fury of the world itself.

The Creator is reborn/isekaied into the Genshin world, but there's a smaaaaall hiccup in the system and you wake up as what essentially amounts to a level 0 commoner with no skills at all, beyond what you were already bringing to the table. You have powers, sure! You just... can't quite figure out how to get them to work? You also can't understand anyone? It's a bit of a mess.

Villian/Imposter!AU where the true God is chased all over and eventually taken in by the Abyss Order.

The Creator is reborn/isekaied into the Genshin world but there's a different smaaaaaall hiccup in the system and you... don't have a body? The vessel creation/transfer went haywire and now you don't have a set form. Instead you can only change into other creatures, or people.

For whatever reason, when God wakes up no one recognizes them. Instead of taking on their role as 'The Creator' or whatever, they decide to plant crops instead, a la Harvest Moon style.

Imposter!AU/ Villian!God summons forth chained Gods and imbues them with their power to help teach them about the world, and wreak havoc and vengence. Osial, Beisht, and Azhdaha in a team of four with the Villian!God.

Imposter!AU God who, instead of being outright killed once they've been apprehended, is mutilated beyond recognition for being an imposter and 'wearing the face of god'

I really like the idea of taking common SAGAU tropes and concepts and turning them on their head.

he can taste food but can’t digest any of it except for alcohol, some half vampires can eat a lot of food fine but he got super unlucky

500 year life span as opposed to the regular vampire 1000

hates drinking the blood of any animal, feels bad for them, and also doesn’t like it when alhaitham offers him his but at least he can consent to it

he could probably tell what he’s feeling too by the taste of his blood (bitter when he’s stressed and good when his mood is good, prolly through hormones)

hides his vampire identity from other people by constantly filing his fangs to the point of teeth pain and damage, ingesting normal food with people only to throw it up later, basically trying to fit in with everyone else even if it ends up hurting him cause society is scared of vampires or hates them

Since you seem to like our walking cabbages so much, imagine if they got together and formed a mafia style crime syndicate and took control of the underworld of Teyvat.

Now imagine some poor treasure hunter is being interrogated by Jean as to why his gang has been stealing seeds and vegetables and flowers, only for the door to be kicked open by a walking cabbage in a pinstripe suit with a cigar in it's lips as it tell him he can get back to business before said cabbage looks at Jean and tosses her some Dandelion seeds as a bribe before it turns on it's heel and leaves.

Jean would be left wondering just what was in the tea Lisa gave her, and if it was time for her to take a nice long break.

In summary, Aranara Mafia au with the Creator either being the Godfather/Godmother or the fool who gave them the inspiration to become a gang of eco minded criminals who aim to seize control of the underworld of Teyvat and use it to spread green across the world by steadily taking control of society from the shadows.

I am very tired and have work tomorrow, and so my brain is running on spite and fumes right now, so I apologize for the mess this idea is.

two-three years before the events of the sumeru arc, cyno is caught snooping into akademiya records, suspicious of their actions. out of fear of what he could uncover, and a need to get him out of the way without anyone questioning it, cyno is forcibly exposed to the contents of a divine knowledge capsule, driven to madness, before being dumped in Aaru village. reports say he often looked out towards the desert, almost longingly with what little sense he had left.

One day, cyno goes missing. the inhabitants of aaru village try to find him, of course, but unfortunate timing means a sandstorm rises and covers his wandering, stumbling tracks. it's concluded that he wandered into the desert that he loved so much, and perished in the sandstorm. he is grieved, the news is sent to his loved ones. but his chapter is closed.

what actually happened was the temple of silence got their hands on him again. feeling both an obligation to cyno, and excitement over the potential of uncovering how to destroy forbidden knowledge, the temple decides to try their hand at healing him...by tampering with his memories of the knowledge.

The idea is good. the execution is not. they are powerful mortals, but mortals all the same. cyno regains some of his lucidity, but traces of the knowledge remains, causing mood swings and lapses into renewed delirium. he is trapped between worlds, between lucidity and dreaming, between the past and the present, between the here and now and the dreams of 500 years ago. the temple recognizes the usefulness of this, and decide that cyno can be their link to forbidden knowledge, to the gods of old.

little do they know that someone else - or the remnants of someone else - has much the same idea.

the memory of rukkhadevata is both saddened and intrigued by the half-delirious general that fades in and out of her world. he barely knows who he is, and yet he is devoted to her in a way that is truly humbling. he clings to the memory of a god that isn't his. i want to save you, he says, and she doesnt have the heart to tell him that she is long past saving.

but he can save someone else. and it feels so much like taking advantage of him, using him, but...but he is her only link to reality. the only one who can still hear her weeping.

and so, rukkhadevata lies. she tells him that she is trapped beneath the akademiya, that she is being used to craft a new god. that she cannot fight back. that she needs him, her general, to free her.

she is a memory that cannot be saved. kusanali, however, is alive and deserves to live. and rukkhadevata will regret this for the remainder of her ever shortening existence...but kusanali could have no better protector.

and cyno could have no better god.

no but imagine a fic where the reader is one of the harbingers s/o and the harbingers fell out of love with reader, but didn’t tell reader about it.

( example : not listening to you and just looking away, they don’t talk to you often, they don’t say “i love you” like they used to do anymore. )

long story short reader also falls out of love and leaves them, then the harbingers realizes what they’ve done. you were the light in their life that shined so brightly.

and now they’ve lost you, you left them for good. and you only left a letter, which just said goodbye and nothing else, reader is happily living their life without the harbinger.

bonus if another harbinger was in-love with reader.

• NONSTOP talks about the traveler and how he wants to fight them soon.

• Introduced you to the traveler so you don't feel threatened.(you didn't)

• He actually feels threatened by the traveler since you two became friends.

• When he's not busy he absolutely needs attention.

• Mf won't leave you alone until you give him any form of attention.

• Constantly buys you really expensive gift for no reason.

• One time you got him a gift and he spent 3 million mora just to be better.

• You and the traveler went on a platonic date to piss off Childe.

So, lately I've been playing Genshin (because epic seven banned me for a century fsr), and I've enjoyed it immensely. I've also....um, hyperfocused on Bennett. He has so much fic potential it's insane, even a Kaeya main such as myself can't dodge his allure. Here are a few fic ideas I have:

Pyro Archon Bennett:

Pyro Archon Murata is the Goddess of War, she knows when war is on the horizon, she can see all the signs; she's also the type to do ANYTHING to win said war. She catches wind of the Tsaritsa's plans, she notices the Abyss planning and building up their numbers and power. She knows war is on the horizon, and she knows that the gnoses will play a large part in it.

Never one to lose a war, she comes up with an ingenious plan: she'll have a child, give them the Pyro Gnosis, abandon them in a village, burn that village down, curse her child to appear human, kill herself, and let the infant be taken to a foreign land. That way the only one with knowledge of the Pyro Gnosis's whereabouts, her, will be dead, and so she makes winning the war easier, if not guaranteed!

She didn't account for the fact that she's terrible at cursing people. She's known to fight head on for a reason, and so she accidentally curses her child to not only appear human (drawing from the features of those around him), but also to have horrendously bad luck. She doesn't notice her fumble before killing herself, and she's still an ARCHON, so removing the curse would require a lot of power.

Mondstadt sure has their work cut out for them, especially when the fatui start getting desperate to find the Pyro Gnosis.

Fatui Bennett:

Bennett has accidentally run into a lot of formidable foes. He can't always run away, so learning to fight was a necessity. If he bothered to test it, he might end up being one of the most powerful individuals in Mondstadt. One day, upon stumbling into Liyue, he runs into a man named Childe (his parents must've hated him).

Childe loves a good fight, and Bennett attracts good fights like a light to moths. Childe decides to hang around him, and the Ruin Hunters turn into Ruin Graders with an extra person always tagging along. Bennett doesn't mind, doesn't even notice when he starts outpacing Childe in every fight, attracting undue attention.

Eventually, Bennett relents and gives Childe a spar, convinced he was no match for the bloodthirsty man. Except...he wins. He wins with an ease he didn't expect. That neither of them expected. A fire is lit, and Childe reintroduces himself as Tartaglia, a Harbinger of the Fatui, one of the Traveler's friends. He begs Bennett to come with him to Snezhnaya to meet the Tsaritsa. Bennett has his doubts about going so far, but he's always been a people pleaser, much like the Traveler, so he writes his dads a note and off he goes.

When Diluc hears the news, he's ready to skewer the harbinger, Traveler's friend or not. His dads are beside themselves as Bennett accidentally impresses the Tsaritsa and gets offered a position as the Twelfth Harbinger. They've been in need of recruits for a while, and Bennett checks nearly every box. Not willing to say no to an ARCHON, Bennett reluctantly joins the fatui as Pedrolino, the Provoker. When a strong opponent needs to be tracked down, the Tsaritsa sends him to the general area, and his bad luck will always attract them, often with much of their ranks as back up.

Eventually, while every other Harbinger remains stagnant, his strength grows by simply doing his assignments, and he's vaulted through the ranks. He becomes one of the Tsaitsa's most prized on accident, and he misses Mondstadt dearly. He doesn't truly believe in the Tsaritsa's cause, but he isn't strong enough to oppose her....or so he thinks.

When the Traveler finally picks a fight with her, Bennett finds himself defecting, finally back on Mondstadt's side. He tells Diluc and the Traveler everything he knows, aware that his knowledge is more than enough to topple the whole organization. Mondstadt welcomes him back with open arms, even as they tremble at his power when he joins the Traveler on the front lines and absolutely demolishes his ex-coworkers.

Good Luck Charm Bennett:

Bennett, the adventurer with notoriously bad luck. When a storm rolls in, he'll always be struck by lightning. When at a cliff's edge, it'll always crumble beneath his feet. Even when he's simply walking along a path, slimes will appear as if from thin air. Wouldn't that be a deterrent to those wishing to adventure with him?

No, because everyone knows that if you travel with Bennett, all your chests will be high grade, with the best of the best artifacts and ores inside, so long as Bennett himself isn't the one opening it. If a storm rolls in, the lightning that strikes will always cause a warm fire to keep you from getting sick. The Hilichurls that seem to pop up around Bennett will always drop items, and they'll never attack anyone but Bennett.

Bennett gets cabbages, sure, but any adventurer worth their salt will let him tag along simply because it'll get them better loot. You don't even have to look after him, his bad luck refuses to let him die or get permanently injured, after all. Just stay within ten feet and you'll reap the rewards.

Bennett is a boy who suffers from constant bad luck, injury, and pain, and now he also has to deal with being kidnapped for loot, dragged on adventures at all hours of the day, and no one really cares about his well-being. His dads are too caught up in their shiny treasure, fellow adventurers have tied a leash to him so they didn't have to bother keeping an eye on him while using him for good loot, and even the Knights of Favonious will demand his presence on important missions with no care towards the hour or any previous obligations. Bennett is Mondstadt's tool, ignored until someone needs a good artifact or for a mission to reap great rewards. It seems that not even Barbatos truly cares about him.

No one cares, except a boy raised by wolves and a traveler that's being used the same way. People that genuinely enjoy his company, with the loot being a generally ignored perk, and his bad luck causing them worry rather than annoyance.

BAMF Bennett:

Bennett is a healer with a pyro vision. His control is practiced to perfection, fingers capable of igniting small sparks and large explosions alike. He can draw forth healing potential in Pyro, something previously thought impossible. His diligence can produce the tiniest sparks to prevent infection, the perfect fires for cauterization, and yet he goes even further and draws the true power of healing from flames and destruction as if he were a Hydro Healer.

He is more meticulous and careful than even the finest Akademiya healer, and yet he's also capable of the absolute destruction inherent in his element. God-made or not, he can destroy it. Something many adepti have failed to do, and yet this mortal child is capable of it with ease, and often on accident. He calls it bad luck when something indestructible is shattered by his touch, but the archons and adepti know better.

They know that the constant threat of death from the universe is Celestia's fruitless attempt to eliminate a monster of its own creation. If they left him with normal luck, he'd be unstoppable, but his survival has only made his power grow. The trials from Celestia itself have not killed this mortal, and so he grows stronger for having survived. Even the eldest archon quivers in fear as this child walks off being struck by lightning. Even the Conquerer of Demons feels a shiver go down his spine when an automation goes up in flames.

So yeah, I've been having fun with overpowered Bennett. He is horribly built, and yet he carries me regardless. Rip Kaeya, you wouldn't have survived without your bad luck charm.

Just had a great idea for a new genshin skin:

Prisoner Childe outfit (typical fontaine prison clothes, and a little ball and chain)

Not only is it free, but it also comes with (de)buffs! Such as reduced speed and reduced attack. Childe can no longer use his weapons, only fists! No elemental attacks. And after generating 10,000 energy you can activate his ultimate atttack, Foul Legacy, which nerfs every single enemy on the field, except boss enemies (health bar is reduced to half/dependent on boss). And then his health is reduced to one.

Since Sumeru's near the Chasm and probably Fontaine, imagine walking around the Chasm and having a few lost and extremely confused aranara walking or flying with you while you head to either Liyue or Sumeru

If you go to Liyue, imagine how visibly confused the poor lil cabbage guy would be 💀

There's a lot of analysis over vision "requirements" and a lot of them have similarities and their own differences, and so I'm going to provide my contribution!

Pryo

They have a strong dedication and determination to their cause, no matter what it is. They are passionate and feel emotions very strongly, usually being more outgoing and extroverted, being able to read them like an open book. Their dedication is incredible and it usually is a driving force for them.

Cryo

They seem to always fall short of their goal(s), usually having a traumatic event happen too in their lives. They're generally "different" in some way too, although whether many others know this or not differs. Quite often, they have someone or others feel differently about them then they want, but can't easily change it.

Electro

Typically they're outcasts, usually not having many friends and/or not "fitting in" with typical society. They never let this change them however and stay true to themselves, despite that they are deemed as different by others. The perception of their "otherness" differs, sometimes they are admired for it, other times they're more rejected for it, but despite it they still stay themselves.

Hydro

They have extremely strong values that they stick to no matter what, these values being highly personal and may not necessarily be the "social norm" but it is what they believe in. They also have a strong sense of justice, this sense of justice too being personal to them. It could be in the typical sense of justice, or in a more abstract way. They are strong, and either show their strength through damage, or through healing.

Geo

Very loyal and will stick to whoever or whatever they love, being extremely protective alongside that, doing anything to protect that which they choose to in spite of themselves. You can say that they're very selfless in that sense. Alongside this comes the stubbornness, they're very rigid and immovable, their strong will is very clear.

Anemo

Usually they have experienced a very traumatic death of someone they care for in their lives, that or it seems like it will happen eventually. Such great loss spurs their need for freedom and living for themselves, as a way to counteract their grief. They're normally seen as "odd" in some way too, either because they are alone a lot or that is the cause of them being alone. They are not necessarily lonely, but they can regularly be found alone.

Dendro

Intelligent. This intelligence isn't restricted to book smarts, but also world smarts and knowledge over a wide range of area. Of course, it's not just limited to this, but they have to have a deep understanding of their knowledge and also be willing to actively seek knowledge, having a strong will in learning and advancing.
