So the local Japanese import goods store had a deal on chiaseed filled jelly but the big surprise was the three pack of tea flavored chocolate.

The price for it was a bit nuts (again: import store so there's a markup to begin with) but while matcha itself was fairly par for course given various brands of chocolate both local and not, this also has genmatcha and houjicha which are very unusual. Especially houjicha. It's also smooth and soft, almost fudge-like in texture.

And of course brain spat out "Iroh would like this and Nedzu would be so disappointed he can't have it since chocolate is toxic to mice, bears, and dogs so even if he's a chimera..."

Coffee Talk is a narrative game about serving coffee to elves, aliens, orcs, mermaids, and other fantasy races! Play as a barista who has heart-to-heart conversations with patrons while serving up warm drinks from the ingredients you have in stock. How you serve your customers will affect the game’s branching storyline in this alternate version of Seattle!

🐓: Comfort shows are Bewitched, Call The Midwife, and Russell Howard's stand up special on Netflix. Comfort movies are ... ideterminate at present. I usually don't re watch movies.

🧵: I am making a mixed media series inspired by kintsugi in response to a book I gave been reading with my Tuesday night church group. I'm really proud of the level of detail I was able to create, especially since my primary medium is water colors and I'm new at that from a technical standpoint.

🐈: I have a little mixed breed dog, his name is Cooper. I had a gerbil before named Pumpkin who is dearly missed. I also keep office fish. Someday I would like to own a beagle.

🍅: I have a terrible black thumb but also bug aspirations around gardening. Right now my best growth has been a cactus I have been tending for the last 5 years- I planted it as a seed and now it is about the size of a salt shaker.

🍃: I looooove waxflowers and carnations.

🐝: Honestly Yoshis Island, Hades, and Animal crossing are comforting to me depending on different needs.

🍞: I know how to bake bread. My husband is on a low carb diet for his health so I do a lot of weord food sciencey type baking. I was really proud of the almond flour cupcakes I made in August. I dont bake much now that we have relocated.

🐇: Right now I've been loving Exist for Love, Johnny Cash's hymn album, and the band Ripe.

🌲: I personally prefer the cold. It's much easier to get comfortable and cosy.

🧶: I love to knit! My proudest project is a lace shawl, but I have made multiple sweaters and pairs of socks. Knitting is always a gift though.

🐑: My husband bought me a squid squishmallow to cuddle when he works late, it always makes me feel so comforted.

🍓: I wish I owned more pink clothing! 💗 It is one of my favorite colors but I really struggle picking anything other than black or gray to wear for some reason.

🥞: I looooove crepes for fancy breakfasts. Everyday beakfasts I usually go for cream of rice or yogurt sweetened with homemade jam. I don't typically eat in the mornings so whenever I have breakfast food its a special treat.

⛰️: This question makes my heart hurt. Can I live in a city in the mountains?

🧸: I would love to raise kiddos someday. I pray my husband and I are good parents and just generally think about our little family to be a lot.

The first night Yuri is in Russia, he has a dream that the Abominable Snowman from the Bugs Bunny cartoon is watching him, but instead of clutching him and happily saying he'll love him forever and hug him and kiss him and squeeze him like Yuri wants, he just watches Yuri with a sad look on his face, like he thinks Yuri is going to run away across the icy fields and roads of Siberia and leave him forever.

Yuri reaches out and pats his head. The Abominable Snowman has very soft hair. It feels like Victor's, almost. It's a dream, so Yuri doesn't question it. "You can call me George," he says.

"What?" says the Abominable Snowman, and for a second Yuri is confused because it sounds like Victor instead of the voice from the Bugs Bunny cartoon. Pitchit and Yuri had watched a lot of them while they were learning English. Then he gives him a hug (the Abominable Snowman is very warm, Yuri is pleased to discover. It must be the fur) and sinks deeper into sleep.

He only vaguely remembers the dream in the morning, and by the time he's staggered out the bedroom to faceplant demandingly between Victor's shoulderblades and make terrible whining noises before Victor turns enough to gather him up in his arms and kiss him and give him genmatcha and poached eggs, he's forgotten it entirely.

The first day at the rink Team Russia trains at is ... odd. For one thing, it's full of Olympians and future Olympians. Yuri had barely scraped into the Games, and only because the JSF felt bad for him. He'd somehow managed to place eighth and he'd cried all night instead of going out and partying like he'd always heard Olympians were supposed to do. The only good thing he remembers about the experience was the rare privilege of seeing Victor live instead of on a screen. He'd skated to a medley of Kay's dances from the <i>Snow Queen,</i> and Yuri had watched from the side of the rink feeling like he could fling himself into the ice like Gretchen to save him.

Anyway: so here is Yuri, miraculously here with Victor Nikiforov, training with Team Russia, which is expected to sweep the Korean Games. Training, in the same rink, because somehow the universe fucked up and Victor Nikiforov is his coach and also allegedly wants to to marry him. They're here together, in one of the most famous rinks in the world.

Except not, because Victor is being screamed at by Coach Feltsman, and Yuri could barely stand to listen to a minute of it before he had to go to the opposite corner of the rink and do figures instead of watching Victor getting yelled at.  Yuri can't stand it. He'd probably be crying real, snotty tears if Coach Feltsman was that angry at him. He'd probably crawl home to Japan and die. Victor just looks like he wants to check Instagram.

I'm only 2 weeks in the new school semester and I am already so stressed out. I feel like I need more time, I'm constantly being robbed of hours, minutes, and seconds. I know it's because I'm working two jobs with 18 units worth of classes but I really don't have any other choice. I have to keep working if I have any hopes of paying off my student debt but I just feel like I'm burning the candle out on both ends and it's not gratifying at all. All I can think about when I'm working on an assignment or at work is the amount of time that I'm losing, the other stuff I could be working on, and what else has to be done. 0/10 would not recommend. Okay. Rant over. Here's a picture of me drinking genmatcha green tea so I can chill the fuck out.

Genmatcha Chiffon cake 🥥🥚🍵🌹 Ingrédients naturels et bio : Base gâteau : * 150g mélange farines sans gluten (épeautre, riz, noix de coco) * 9 blancs et 6 jaunes d'oeufs * 100g huile Pépins de raisins * 100g lait de soja (ou autre lait) * 40g sucre cassonade * 70g sucre de canne (pour blancs d'oeufs en neige) * 2 cuillères à soupe Genmatcha moulu * 1 cuillère à soupe Matcha * 1/2 gousse vanille ou 1cs extrait vanille * 1 pincée sel * 1 cs vinaigre blanc (pour blancs d'oeufs en neige) Glaçage et ganache : * 25cl crème entière fluide 30% (1 bouteille) * 150g fromage frais type Philadelphia (1/2 barquette) * un peu sucre glace (ou beaucoup, à doser selon vos goûts) Recette par étapes : 1) Mélangez huile, sucre et lait dans un grand récipient à l'aide d'un fouet 3) Séparez blancs et jaunes d'oeufs 4) Montez blancs d'oeufs en neige avec vinaigre blanc et reste du sucre 5) Mélangez farine, sel et poudre matcha et genmatcha dans un autre récipient (tamis facultatif) 6) Versez mélange sec dans mélange liquide pour mélange homogène 7) Ajoutez vanille et jaunes d'oeufs et mélangez à nouveau 8) Incorporez enfin blancs d'oeufs en neige 9) Cuisson à 150 degrés pendant environ 50 minutes 10) Laissez refroidir totalement gâteau dans moule inversé tête en bas 11) Mélangez progressivement crème fluide, fromage frais et sucre glace pour glaçage 12) Décorez avec fruits frais, fleurs ou confettis...
