Respectfully, Lucy and Ona are not the woso it couple. That’s Magda and Pernille. They’ve been together for 10 years, just got engaged, have played on the same teams, different teams, have transferred to be on the same team. It’s them.
i think that we should have these people cage fight to see who the real it couple is.
but genuinely that’s so cutesy 10 years is crazy!!!

🎀 nishimura riki as your classmate that's in love you 🎀
warnings: smut, nsfw, cursing, etc.
♱ student!reader who is a mean girl and delinquent but classmate!ni-ki thinks he might be into it.
♱ classmate!niki who keeps on showing up wherever you go.
"what the fuck, ni-ki? do you have a tracker on me or something?" you asked, narrowing your eyes at him.
he replied, "it's just a coincidence." shrugging. "don't flatter yourself."
"bullshit." you shot back, crossed arms. "you're always popping up where i least want you."
♱ classmate!ni-ki who's very attentive to you and even though he never actually said it, he's making it painfully obvious how much he likes you.
when the teacher had finally decided to do something about your constant tardiness, you ended up sweeping the dusty classroom floor where ni-ki spotted you.
"what do you want?" you asked when you heard his footsteps. you turned to face him, resting your hands on the broom handle.
he replied, "i'm just going to wait for you."
you rolled your eyes and turned back to your task. "don't you have something better to do?"
"hmm, not really." he stepped into the room, "i think this is more fun."
"watching me clean? oh you've got a weird definition of 'fun'."
he didn't answer. he simply stood there, watching you and even though he is silent, ni-ki's presence was still distracting.
you felt tired suddenly and with a huff, you glanced over your shoulder.
"ca-can you help me?"
the words left your mouth quietly before you could stop them, you instantly regretted it. "my god..." you thought. you weren't used to asking anyone for help, let alone ni-ki's.
your cheeks burned slightly as you turned away. "nevermind..." you said, turning to focus on the floor again.
ni-ki stepped forward and took the broom from your hands without a word.
"hey-"
"i got it." he said, cutting you off. he started sweeping like he'd been doing it all his life and within minutes, the dirt pile you'd been struggling with had already doubled in size.
you stood there awkwardly, unsure what to do or feel with yourself. "you don't have to do everything..."
"you asked for help, so i'm just being thorough." he said, making you flustered.
you turned away and muttered, "thanks, i guess."
"no problem." he replied, still focused on sweeping.
you couldn't help but steal a glance at him. his sleeves were rolled up slightly and his hair was bouncing with every movement.
ni-ki looked so…
and before you could finish that thought, he dusted his hands off with a satisfied smile. "done. anything else you want me to do?"
what is he, a butler?
you stared and blinked at him, unsure how to respond. finally, you shook your head. "no... that's it."
"good." he said, walking past you to put the broom away then he leaned close to you making you step back. "next time, just ask me from the start. you know i don't mind doing stuff for you."
"are you genie?"
"jinny? who's that jerk?"
"the genie from the movie, you idiot..."
ni-ki laughed awkwardly. "ahh the one from movie."
♱ classmate!ni-ki who gets jealous easily when a guy approaches you.
"hey." a voice called. you looked up to see a guy from another class approaching, smiling easy and confident. "do you wanna partner up for gym?"
"ni-ki! here!"
you turned and saw ni-ki standing with a group of guys with a soccer ball in his hands. he was staring at the guy beside you and without hesitation, he launched the ball. not towards his friends though but directly at the guy's head.
the ball smacked into the back of his head with a satisfying thud, cutting off whatever the guy was about to say.
"ow! what the hell?" the guy turned around, rubbing the back of his head as niki jogged over, faking innocence.
"sorry, bad aim." ni-ki said, though the smirk tugging at the corner of his lips said otherwise.
the guy said something under his breath before walking off, leaving you staring at ni-ki in disbelief.
"seriously?" you asked, shaking your head.
ni-ki shrugged, completely unapologetic. "yeah, so what?" he asked.
you rolled your eyes, kicking another rock as you walked away from him.
♱ classmate!ni-ki who keeps asking you to go to school everyday that you actually started showing up little by little and going in early didn't seem so bad anymore, and not to mention, you're grades were starting to improve too.
you handed back his notes then ni-ki adjusted your tie, his knuckles were brushing against your chest.
suddenly, ni-ki glanced at his watch then cupped your face gently. "i gotta go before someone sees me hanging out with a bad girl." he teased, grinning while anticipating your reaction.
you raised an eyebrow, scoffing. "oh, so you're embarrassed to be seen with me?"
his lips curled into a smirk, "i'll kiss you in front of everyone if you want." he said, adding a laugh.
you eyes widened, heat started to rush to your cheeks. flustered, you pulled his hands away. "you just said-"
"i'll see you later!" ni-ki interrupted, spinning on his heel with a playful grin before sprinting off, leaving you standing there, completely stunned.
"that guy..."
♱ classmate!ni-ki who teases you about your handwriting but secretly keeps every note you've ever written for him.
♱ classmate!ni-ki who kept asking to copy your homework, but it's actually just an excuse to check if you did it right.
♱ classmate!ni-ki whom you unexpectedly started making out with, one night while studying at your house.
and when he stood and stretched after, you accidentally looked at his pants where his dick were straining against the fabric, making a tent on his sweats.
you quickly whipped your head away. but ni-ki noticed and laughed as he walked towards the bathroom. "yeah, but i promise it's nothing you can't handle."
♱ classmate!ni-ki who seems to be really patient with you.
you wandered through the library then you spotted niki sitting by the window. his head were leaning back against the seat, eyes closed and looking so peaceful.
your heart ached slightly. you sat down quietly beside him, trying not to disturb him.
and as if sensing your presence, ni-ki's eyes fluttered open. a small smile formed his lips as he shifted, putting his arm on the back of the seat behind, welcoming you. then, without a word, he rested his forehead against your shoulder.
"i missed you." he murmured, his voice were low and sleepy.
you swallowed hard, heat creeping up your neck and cheeks. "what happened the other day…" you began hesitantly, your voice barely above a whisper. "did you tell anyone?"
ni-ki lifted his head slightly, his expression turned into worry. "no, of course i didn't."
"good…" you muttered, letting out a shaky breath you didn't realize you'd been holding.
he smiled faintly and rested his head against your shoulder again, his hand grabbed yours, caressing it, as if reassuring you.
"i- it's not a big deal, right? niki?" you asked.
ni-ki's jaw tightened for the briefest moment, his outward calm masking the storm that's happening inside. maybe it's just making out but the truth? he's been thinking about it nonstop, replaying every detail in his mind and it gave him more clarity just how much he likes you... and that he had probably jerked off thousand more times since that day.
but he wasn't about to let you know that.
"no." he whispered, his lips brushing close to your ear, "it's not."
you turned to him, your eyes lighting up with relief. "great! thanks…"
before he could respond, you stood abruptly, brushing your skirt down. "well, i've got to go now. see you!" you said, smiling while giving him a quick wave.
ni-ki watched you go, his hand still resting on the seat where yours had been moments earlier. he sighed confused, running a hand through his hair.
"yeah, sure." he muttered to himself, half-heartedly returning your wave. his eyes watched you until you disappeared from view, and then he leaned back in his chair, the ache in his chest stronger than ever.
♱ classmate!ni-ki who uses your birthday as his phone passcode.
♱ student!reader who's slowly getting more conscious and aware about how popular ni-ki is... but he's yours.
you went back to class where you notice girls were chatting together. "niki asked me to wait for him after class!" a girl squealed nearby, her excitement cutting through your thoughts.
your ears perked up liked a dog then stepped closer to eavesdrop.
"do you think he'll ask you out?" another girl added.
you scoffed audibly, unable to help yourself. the sound drew their attention and you froze as their curious gazes landed on you. blinking awkwardly, you mumbled an apology and quickly walked away.
you: are you busy after class?
you: are you going somewhere with someone?
ni-ki: oh, right. i'm just going to talk to the new class representative. like an orientation thing.
ni-ki: i can cancel, though.
you laughed loudly and shook your head.
you: no, no! don't cancel. we can hang out later.
later, the two of you were lounging on your couch, the TV playing in the background. ni-ki had his head resting on your lap, scrolling aimlessly on his phone but after a while, he sat and he set it aside. you could feel him staring at you.
"what?" you asked, not bothering to look away from your own phone.
he didn't answer immediately, instead he gently moved your hair to the side. his fingers were brushing lightly against your neck.
"stop." you muttered, still scrolling.
ni-ki chuckled softly. "i don't want to."
sighing, you set your phone aside as well, giving him an exasperated look. "why the hell do you keep doing this?"
"doing what?"
"i don't know, maybe the flirting, doing everything for me, following me around-"
"oh, i thought you already knew." ni-ki interrupted.
"knew what?"
"that i like you." he said casually, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
you blinked, taken aback, before scoffing. "how can you say that so casually…" you muttered under your breath.
he smirked at your reaction. "what? it's true. i thought you knew."
"i know that! but i just never heard you actually say it until now." you replied, your voice quieter than before.
ni-ki sat up slightly, cupping your face in his hands and forcing you to meet his gaze. "i like you, y/n."
you turned your head slightly. "i- i said i know that… you don't have to repeat it."
his lips curved into a mischievous smile. "you shy?"
you pushed his hands away, cheeks flushed. "i'm not!"
ni-ki didn't buy it, a chuckle escaped his lips. he reached down and grabbed one of your thighs, effortlessly pulling it over his lap.
"i bet you're going to stop being like this once i become your girlfriend." you mumbled.
he shook his head with a smirk. "hmm, i don't think so."
"rea- really?"
he leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to your cheek. "yes," he murmured. then, his arms wrapped around you. "come closer."
you scooted closer to him, your heart pounding as he tilted his head, capturing your lips in a series of soft, gentle kisses. slowly, the kisses deepened, his hands sliding to your waist.
your hands clutching the fabric of his shirt as his lips trailed down your jawline, every touch of his lips on your skin made you shiver.
breathless, ni-ki paused, his lips hovering over yours.
"you're hard." you said.
he kissed you again, deeply before pulling away slightly. "it's okay."
"but i want to..." you whispered against his lips. ni-ki smiled, reaching down and with a slow, deliberate motion, pulled his pants down, revealing his erection that's pulsing with anticipation.
he felt a rush of heat as your eyes locked onto him, the intensity in your gaze sending shivers down his spine. he reached out, cupping your cheek, his thumb tracing the line of your jaw.
his cock throbbed when he felt your fingers around it, light as feathers, stroking his hard length.
ni-ki's breath hitched as you lowered your head, your lips following the path your fingers had taken. "that's good..." he groaned out as you took him in your mouth. the sensation was electrifying, sending waves of pleasure crashing through him. your head bobbing up and down, gagging each time his cock hit the back of your throat.
he gripped your hair, his fingers tangling tightly in the soft strands causing slight pain you chose to ignore.
"yes, just like that." he managed to gasp, breath catching in his throat while arching into your mouth as the pleasure became overwhelming. ni-ki shuddered, a deep guttural sound escaping him, hips bucking wildly as he came, a hot burst of release flooding your mouth.
cum started to drip in the corner of your mouth, "don't let it out." he said, wiping the remains as he watched you swallowed it like a good girl, your eyes locked on his.
you sat beside him with a smirk playing on your lips. "you're a freak."
ni-ki chuckled at your remark. "for you."
you started making out again, the kiss charged with the afterglow of what had just happened. then you felt his hand slip down, stroking his member, which was already starting to stiffen again.
"you're still hard..."
"i know, right?" ni-ki groaned, looking so needy. "can i put it inside you?"
a/n: the only way i could write these days lol

Your song is Nessuno vuole essere Robin by Cesare Cremonini
Original lyrics:
Come mai sono venuto stasera?
Bella domanda
Vuoi dormire col cane
Sai quanta gente ci vive coi cani
E ci parla come agli esseri umani
E poi dormiamo coi cani
Complichiamo i rapporti come grandi cruciverba
E poi dormiamo coi cani
Mentre noi ci lasciamo di notte, piangiamo
E poi dormiamo coi cani
Mentre noi ci lasciamo di notte, piangiamo
E poi dormiamo coi cani
Bella domanda
Translation:
Why did I come tonight?
Good question
If I told you that I miss your dog, would you believe it?
That in the kitchen I have everything except salt, would you give it to me?
I have a thorn in my throat that hurts, hurts, hurts
Ask me another question
That I can't speak
What I would like to tell you tonight is
It doesn't matter
It's just that when I look into your eyes I get lost
When the sky is silent it snows inside me
If I swore to sleep with you and not touch you, touch you, touch you
Of course
You want to sleep with your dog
You know how many people live with dogs
And talk to them like humans
Meanwhile the days that pass by you see them leave like trains
That don't have tracks, but paper wings
And how many useless idiots on the street or on Facebook
Who think they're geniuses, but talk randomly
While we break up at night, we cry
And then we sleep with dogs
Have you noticed too, that we're all more alone?
All with the number ten on our backs (refers to soccer, the most popular sport in Italy, usually the captain of a soccer team has the number 10 on his shirt) and then we miss penalties
Have you noticed too, that in this world of heroes
No one wants to be Robin
It's true that life is really strange, it's like us
It's a crowded and provincial waiting room
There's a child next to the entrance who looks at me and asks me why
Why do we spend our nights waiting for an alarm clock
We get a crush on the first dishonest girl
We complicate relationships like big crosswords
And you ask me "why?"
Ask me another question
I can't speak
You know how many people smile at life and sing it
Waiting for tomorrow
Meanwhile you see the days that pass by you leave like trains
That don't have tracks, yet they go on time
And how many useless idiots on the street or on Facebook
Who think they're geniuses, but they talk randomly
While we break up at night, we cry
And then we sleep with the dogs
While we break up at night, we cry
And then we sleep with the dogs
While we break up at night, we cry
And then we sleep with the dogs
Have you noticed too, that we're all more alone?
All with the number ten on our backs, and then we miss penalties
Have you noticed too, that in this world of heroes
No one wants to be Robin
Why did I come tonight?
Why did I come tonight?
Good question
Hope you’ll have fun with this song, it’s so beautiful 🥹

disregarded before first breaths . . ❛ i’ll never accept her as mine . ❜ : in your existence there is regret . . . . a miscalculation in the earned title , ❛ the greatest soccer player of all time . ❜ bo mora did not want children — his entanglement with his too young of an assistant gisele sommer was a way to pass time ( mumbled reminders that sung “ im not looking for anything serious “ ) . he was an legend , he swore he was ‘ just getting started ‘ . . . two lines appearing on a pregnancy test was a misstep , one he tried to correct . ❛ abortion , adoption , i don’t care as long as you get rid of it . ❜ when protests came , he did not admit defeat and give in : $$$$$ cash arrangements in exchange for a promise , ❛ i’ll never have to see either of you ever again . ❜
you are not a daughter . . you are dollar signs . . a never ending spoonful to a hungry mouth : while bo mora miscalculated , gisele sommer calculated perfectly . . in you she found a mean to her end ( to live lavishly ) : you are a genie in a bottle . . granting her wishes ( giving and giving ) while being caged to a life that would leave you empty . in short terms : you never had a chance . . in the choice of mothering you and leaving you to rot in the care of others , gisele choose the latter . you were six months old when you were handed to a hired nanny . there was no kiss goodbye , the words ❛ i love you . ❜ never came . . . six months old but you already felt it : the dis - want , the neglect , the loneliness that would follow you for the rest of your life .
gisele’s absence would be a constant . . . a phone call once a month the only reassurance she was still there / you would learn early not to ask when she’d be home or if you could go with her , her lack of interest was entangled in her tone and her neglect was a nightmare you never grew out of : it made your million dollar estate a cell . . loneliness a friend . . . abandonment a wound . . it made you hungry for anyone to love you . . . . and in your longing came willow : no longer a nanny by the time you hit 4 , she was your family — your only family . scrapped knees , sleepy mornings , aced ( and failed ) tests , chorus recitals , singing lessons , first crush and first heartbreak , breakouts , accidental hair clipping to copy bangs the latest it girl was rocking , willow held your hand through it all . . . ❛ my love for you is endless . ❜
# ( age ) sixteen sinks its teeth into you : scribbled letters in a raggedy notebook ( identical to the ones you’ve carried around like a little kid carries a stuffed bear ) asks . . . ❛ do you want to become someone ? ❜ yes . yes . yes !!!!!! you wanted it bad . . . enough that a lack of confidence bared it’s teeth as you sat in front of a camera in a dimmed bathroom ( it’s acoustics the best ) and sang a song you wrote two years ago : one year later you’d have 4.2 million subscribers — two years later you’d be signing to a record label . . . three years later you'd become one with a band , you’re band .
the devil comes knocking . . three times . . . thumb . thumb . thumb . . when the door swings open : gisele sommer gazes back . you cannot remember a time one of her smiles belonged to you , and yet it hung on red lips like a prize . . a heart will whisper , “ finally “ , but your brain knows better — where $$ dollar signs are , is where gisele is . . . and like always , you are her ticket : ❛ i’m back to stay . ❜ . . . . translation : i want in on your blossoming career . you wanted it to be different , wanted her to be different . . but you are no fool . resentment is greeted with charm : give in , give in . unluckily for you , resistance is greeted with punishment . willow is let go / ❛ as much as we love having you around , she has outgrown a nanny . ❜ — in rage , you fight back and gisele grows more determined . . . gisele wins the battles but you , you’d win the war .
❛ i am nerissa’s manager . . ❜ an attempt to carve permanent on you . . . los angeles is full of shining stars : your mother dims your light . her behavior , greed , a turn off for most labels . no amounts of ❛ you’re ruining this for me ! ❜ couldn’t shake her . . . . not until them .
the first time andrew faiser heard you sing : he did not see dollar signs . . . he saw unimaginable passion — felt aching loneliness . your third meeting with him he asked you two things : ❛ do you want her ( your mother ) involved ? ❜ and ❛ do you want to do this alone ? ❜ hesitation did not come for the first question : you did not want your mother involved . . . the second question however ? a small beat of silence ( perhaps confusion ) and he smiled sweetly and told you that before you answered : he had some people he wanted you to meet .
when browns first landed on five strangers — you had no idea that they’d become your future ( your family ) : had no idea one day you’d be standing side by side as the media labeled you . . . . ❛ the biggest band since the beatles . . ❜
in the contract that would be the start of your career . . a promise from andrew would be kept : gisele sommer was iced out . . . in your success , she would not make a single dime . the war : you won it . but the little girl who opened your mouth and stated , ❛ you can still try to have a relationship with me without money being involved . . ❜ was left to bleed out when her answer was disgust and that familiar dis - want . . . . you are a daughter to no one .
# ( age ) twenty - three : you dance with the stars . . . titled one of the biggest ( most successful ) voices to come out of this generation . and you deserved it , earned it . . . but sometimes you can still feel it — the weight on your chest . the wound that never stops bleeding . the abandonment in your lungs . . ❛ i don’t want her . . ❜ carved across your heart . . you still have the nightmares . . . you think : how could it be ? how could it be that millions of people love and adore me , and yet i still don’t feel enough ?

Author Interview: Andrew Masseurs

Tell us about yourself.: My Name is Andrew Masseurs and I am from Wellington, New Zealand. I've got two dogs and two cats. I'm a crazy guy who grew up playing cricket and football (soccer) I love working out and exercising. I've got the most beautiful women in the world as my wife and four fantastic kids. I love life and love creating. Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?: Grew up in Wellington, New Zealand. I suppose I have a kiwi way of thinking. Whatever that is. A spry optimism mixed with a never give up attitude and a hint of humour. It's all in there. Do you have any unusual writing habits? I don't start a chapter til I am happy I have all the elements that I think will make it work in my head. Then as I start writing all those elements are thrown out and I rewrite it. Crazy, but it happens every time. What authors have influenced you? Grew up in Wellington, New Zealand. I suppose I have a kiwi way of thinking. Whatever that is. A spry optimism mixed with a never give up attitude and a hint of humour. It's all in there. Do you have any advice for new authors? Be yourself. There's no one like you. What is the best advice you have ever been given? Be yourself. Robin Williams as the Genie, Aladdin. What are you reading now? The Stand Stephen King. (Second time) What's your biggest weakness? Food What is your favorite book of all time? The Shining Stephen King followed by all J K Rowling's stuff. When you're not writing, how do you like to spend your time? Spending time with my family, exercising, Spending time with my wife, eating my favourite breakfast at my favourite cafe, working to pay the bills (Writing doesn't pay the bills) thinking about what I'm about to write. Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you? There was an old lady that swallowed a fly. Freaked me out man. What has inspired you and your writing style? I have no style. My style is my own. Marketers say as an author try to compare your book to other authors so readers can find you. I cant compare my style to other authors. The inspiration is everything I've ever watched, read and heard mixed up and written on paper. What are you working on now? The third book in the A Day in the Life Apocalyptic book series, tentatively called, Days of fury. What is your favorite method for promoting your work? I've read and listened to many marketing books. I'm trying everything and anything. Luckily the first book in the series is a short novella. So my favourite marketing took was to make the eBook and audiobook free. People love a free giveaway. What's next for you as a writer? I'm planning out my book series. I'm currently releasing book two called The Day After. Next I'm writing the next two books together. I like to write two book at a time so I can come back to one fresh. And also planning the rest as I write. How well do you work under pressure? Very well. My work could quickly snowball if I don't manage my time. Writing while balancing everything else in my life is working under pressure. Remember to have fun. How do you decide what tone to use with a particular piece of writing? The particular piece of writing and relationships decide the tone. The first two books have been written in pov and third person. Each one was different because of the characters in the book. The first one was someone very much like myself. So I could get in his head no problem. The second one was a fourteen year old girl. The character established it should be third person. Characters are everything. If you could share one thing with your fans, what would that be? That I've loved writing my stories. That I've sat and cried, laughed and cheered while writing them. Because I've enjoyed them I'm sharing them so others will too. I really started writing as an alternative to watching too much TV. Take a break from the box. Read my books. Have fun. Bonding with her boyfriend's little sister was beginning to take a toll on (Y/N)'s body. Luisa, a sassy energetic seven year old, had suggested teaching her Tik Tok dances for the Saturday afternoon. And who was she to refuse such a request. She thought after the second dance, the little girl would go and play soccer with her twin Luis in the backyard. But she refused to go until (Y/N) knew every dance she knew. The young woman had a newfound respect for the people who came up with Tik Tok dances and those who mimicked them.
Benee's Glitter paused mid-chorus, Luisa looked in her direction, "are you giving up?"
"No, just n–need to take five."
"If you take five, then you're a loser."
(Y/N)'s eyebrows furrowed, standing to her full height. "How would taking a break make me a loser?"
She flicked her ponytail, "it just does."
Not willing to argue with a child's logic, (Y/N) gulped some water down and tossed the bottle to the side. Gesturing to the young girl to change the music for the next dance. Savage Love by Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo played through the portable speaker, (Y/N) focused on following the movements of the seven year old girl in front of her. She couldn't help but smile as she was shown what to do with her hands. That part was easy, it was moving her hips that (Y/N) seemed to struggle with.
"You gotta move your hips. (Y/N), h-i-p-s. Hips. Abuelita knows the dance and she's an old lady." Luisa shook her head, threw her hands in the air and called out, "abuelita! (Y/N) needs help. Show her how you move with your old lady hips!"
And with that the rambunctious child ran back inside the house, in the direction of where she thought her grandmother would be. (Y/N) heard a familiar laugh pop up beside her, followed by arms wrapping around her waist. With her head turned slightly, she was met with a kiss to her cheek.
"Don't worry, bebe." Mario squeezed her hips and swayed, "I know you can move your hips."
She laughed, "is that so?"
"Yeah, but as a precaution let me help."
With one hand on hers and the other on her hips, he began the famous dance. (Y/N) let him move her hands and then sway with her hips. When it got to the part of both her hands in the air, she made sure to put a little pressure in her sway. With a groan in her ear, she broke free from his grip.
She turned around and tapped his cheek, "thanks for the help, but now I've gotta –"
"Nope, you're staying right here." Mario switched off the portable speaker, wrapped his arms around her body, lifted her up and carried her back onto the porch. He sat down and pulled her close to his chest. (Y/N) laughed, while adjusting herself so her legs hung over the armrest and her head was in the crook of his neck. She breathed in his scent and played with the collar of his shirt.
(Y/N) had been set up on a blind date by her college roommate Carly. After getting dolled up and entering the restaurant she was told to go too, the twenty minute mark rolled around and her date was a no show. Embarrassed at being stood up, she left the establishment and was almost run over by a guy on an electric scooter. Mario had been the one driving it and immediately stopped to check to see if she was okay and to apologise. The pair went to a diner and exchanged numbers by the end of the night. (Y/N) had expected their budding relationship to be platonic, until he admitted his feelings during one of their hangout sessions. After a moment of shock, she revealed that he wasn't alone and she had feelings for him.
They've been an official couple since.
However, this was the first time (Y/N) had visited where Mario had grown up and met his family. They had met briefly through facetime whenever she happened to be present while Mario was on a call. Meeting them in person was different. She got along with Ruben, Abuelita and the twins. It was Ruby and his mother Geny who were still weary of her. (Y/N) put it down to Mario's almost being a father fiasco.
Yeah, he told her all about it.
"Mario, I didn't know you were back."
Sitting up, she looked straight ahead and found somebody on the opposite side of the fence. From the pictures Mario had shown her back in his dorm, it was Angelica. The girl he experienced many firsts with and most notably his first love. Mario had told (Y/N) all about him being friends with his ex girlfriend. She wasn't intimidated by her in the slightest. But that didn't mean she was going to be all buddy-buddy with her. She'd keep it cordial.
"Oh, hey." Mario shifted slightly, (Y/N) hopped off his lap. He stood up and walked over to her. When he noticed (Y/N) hadn't walked beside him, he held out his hand behind him, smiling when she accepted and wrapped an arm around her waist when she was close enough, "this is my girlfriend (Y/N). Bebe this is Angelica."
(Y/N) smiled and held out her hand. "It's nice to meet you, I've heard quite a bit about you."
Angelica ignored her and continued looking at Mario, "So… how's your sophomore year in college been?"
"Wow… okay, just ignore me then." (Y/N) muttered under her breath and retracted her hand, "bitch."
This time Angelica acknowledged her.
"What did you call me?"
Not being one to back down easily, she replied, "a bitch." With her quick reflex, she grabbed onto the hand that was going to slap her, "gotta be quicker than that sweetie."
Angelica pulled her hand back and glared, before focusing back on Mario. "¿Puedes controlarla?"
"She doesn't need to be." Mario replied coolly. "She's her own person."
(Y/N) scoffed, "of course I'm my own person." But, then looked in between the two, "wait, did she say something about me?" Looking back at Angelica, "care to elaborate?"
"Why don't you go inside, (Y/N)." She pointed behind them, "Mario and I have a few things to discuss."
Before (Y/N) could respond, her boyfriend beat her to it.
"What do we have to discuss, Angelica?" Mario questioned. "No tenemos nada de que hablar."
"I'd rather not discuss our personal business when someone else is present."
"Our personal business? Our personal business ended the day I went back to college. We don't have anything –"
She cut him off, "we have a history, Mario."
"That's all it is, history." He replied, "this is (Y/N) (L/N), my girlfriend. My present and potential future, Angelica. Yeah, we have history and I'll always be thankful for what we had… but, that's it. We can go back to being friends –"
"What if I don't want that? What if I want to be more than that? What if I want to go back to us being together?"
He shrugged his shoulders, "we can't." His eyes found (Y/N)'s and a smile graced his face, "I've got something good and I'm not gonna mess it up." He looked back at her, "one day you'll meet someone like I have too."
(Y/N) pressed a loving kiss to his cheek. He responded by pressing one to her forehead. She let out a squeal as his fingers squeezed her hips. He laughed when she slapped his chest.
Angelica watched their exchange with a mixture of hurt, sadness and anger bubbling up inside of her. She used to be in (Y/N)'s position and was looking forward to reclaiming the title of being Mario's girlfriend when he came back… only to be told by one of her girls that he was seen around town with a girl. She refused to believe that Mario had moved on, but the evidence was right in front of her. The difference between the last time she had seen him and right now was she no longer had a hold over him.
She couldn't do anything other than walk away. Rekindling her romance with Mario Martinez wasn't an option anymore. Like he said, they were history.
The pair noticed her disappearance when they headed back inside to grab something to eat. (Y/N) felt a little bad for Angelica, but hoped she'd move on. Because she wasn't gonna play nice if Miss Ex decided to come around and get her boyfriend's attention. And if Mario allowed that to happen, she'd beat both of their asses.
"Everything okay, mi amor?"
She smiled and cupped his chin. "Angelica may have been your first love, but I intend on being your last," pecking his lips, she giggled, "until I pop out one of your big headed babies."
"No babies!"
With an eye roll from her boyfriend and a headshake he yelled back, "It was a joke, ma." Before he turned back to (Y/N), "or it wasn't 'cause I'm in the mood to practice if –"
"MARIO!"
"Another joke, ma."

Hard feelings
Genre : Rom-com/ Smut/ Highschool!AU
Starring : Exo, OC, and other OC highschool assholes
Pairing : Baekhyun X OC and OC X sehun shhhh
Summary : Prom, the biggest night of any shallow teens life. The day the boy becomes a man and the girl becomes a woman. And naturally, as a queen bee always should, I had a terrible fucking time.
One shot. (bang)
“Hey, bestie!” Jayde yelled happily as she stepped out of her new 2019 honda accord, given to her for her eighteenth birthday. I let out a breath before locking my convertible. For some reason, i wanted to shoot her for how cheery she sounds. My eyes traveled to jayde’s legs, clad in form-fitting, light pink, Pepto like high waisted jeans, walking over to me with a wide smile on her dewy fresh face. Despite the fact that inside I want to barf all over the loud costume she thinks is an adequate outfit, she looks terribly happy right now, So I’ll put on a smile and let it slide.
“He finally did it! He finally asked me to go!” She hugged me up when her heels tapped close enough to me. I stumbled a bit into my car and threw my hands around her waist. About three months ago jayde got involved with the schools biggest douche bucket, QB of the football team, known for fucking three girls in the empty party planning club room. You know, that type. They made out one time at a party after they bonded over their favorite sex position and jayde claims it was love at first french kiss. They have been “on and off”, you could say, ever since then. But, to be blunt, “on and off” was really just him doing whatever the fuck he wanted to, and her crying in my neck about it. Anyways, now that the prom is coming up, she’s been on her best behavior to make sure she’s the one he asks. And to my surprise, she succeeded.
“That’s so great jay!” I said with a sweet smile. “You know, you should thank me too.”
Her smile faltered slightly and she gave me a confused look as if she doesn’t understand. She should.
“Ehh come on jay. You and I both know how much everyone in school shipped us together, if I didn’t pass on him he would be begging on his knees to go to prom with me right now, and not you. No offense.”
“Y-yeah, true! Thank you!” She said with a giggle. “But you have baekhyun anyways, you don’t need him.”
“Say that things name again and I’ll bitch slap you so hard, your dead dog will feel it.”
Jayde gasped as she covered her mouth with her manicured hand, scrunching her eyebrows in shock and fear. I shot daggers at her face then her shitty pants and stormed away with a tinge of anger. How dare she mention him while im gracing her with my presence. Is she like, dim or some shit? I’m pretty sure this school is making a big mistake by letting her graduate. I climbed up the stairs to the entrance doors of bellewood high. Every time I enter this building I wonder why I haven’t transferred to some random prep school yet. But then I remember my dad’s “I want you to live a normal life like I did.” Speech. I don’t get how you can work hard to make sure that in the future your children get the opportunities you could never have, just to push them in a school less than that of a wonderful opportunity. Don’t get me wrong, this is certainly a school for upper middle class, and I guess that’s good enough for right now. but some people just didn’t get that memo. Which is unfortunate, to say the least.
I pushed open the doors and swayed my way into everyone’s eyes. As always, stealing everyone’s attention. A slight smirk made its way on my face. What an attention whore I am. Usually, I stare straight down the hall as I strut to my locker, but in the corner of my eyes, I saw people not looking at me, but pass me. What kind of freaky twisted nightmare is this? I stopped before turning around, only to bump my chest into someone.
Oh, you have got to be kidding me.
I eyed the person stealing people’s attention, which by the way is practically my birthright, and scoffed.
“Gina.”
“Piece of shit, I mean, baekhyun.”
“Real original.” The boy said to me with less than no emotion. His fresh and fragrant scent blew passed me as he walked away as if he never even saw me in the first place. Another scoff accidentally made it’s way out of my mouth and I softly stomped my foot. I hate how powerless I feel against him, but at the same time, that’s what’s so attractive.
Baekhyun, the school’s golden boy. He’s pretty much good at everything he does and still stays humble while he’s at it. Although he’s definitely not oblivious to how perfect he is. He’s the kind of guy that comes in your dreams to sweep you off your feet. Except he’s right in front of you, somewhere on the football field, or in the school’s latest musical. Yes, you heard me correctly, the school musical, I remember just how wet I got watching him play don lockwood in singing in the rain. Recently though, he’s become even more of a player than before, after a rumor that his magical fingers brought the most popular girl in school to a very obvious climax in biology.
Good times. I would do it again in a second, If everything between us didn’t go to shit.
As I made my way to my locker I caught a glimpse of baekhyun in what looks like a forced interaction with my ex right hand. The beast-like bitch shoved her way in between me and baekhyun not too long ago so I dropped her like any person in their mind would.....and maybe almost ruined her life in the process. I guess some could say that’s the reason why baekhyun left me the way he did. I personally have no opinion on it because I refuse to acknowledge the huge L baekhyun and that skank bag maeline are trying to serve me.
With all that being said, prom is coming and my ex-date is now stuffing his tongue down my ex-friend’s throat. I have no one to go with. Me! I have no prom date! Gina hwang! Genie of the bellewood high! Even the weird girl, angie tice, that’s deaf in one ear got a fucking date! I mean he’s a weirdo too but that’s beside the point!
Ehem.
Yes, as I was saying, it’s really out of the ordinary for me, the most popular girl in school, to be in a date emergency for one of the biggest nights of my life. But in my defense, my fondness for that hoe bag had me blinded into thinking that I wouldn’t need a back up plan.
Note to self: boys will be boys, no matter how much you want them to be men. NEXT TIME, I WILL BE PREPARED!
I huffed and unlocked my locker, placing my bag in it neatly as I thought about who the fuck could save me from my crisis. I don’t need any real feelings to be involved. Just someone that looks cute with me hanging on their arm in my expensive prom dress. Someone that will make baekhyun eat his heart out.
There’s that adonis in the drama club, and that sexy ass soccer player. But to be honest there’s a rumor going around that they’re happy for each other, if you know what I mean. But I don’t believe that. Besides, who wouldn’t go straight for me?
“Ahah! Stop it loeyyy!” Jayde spoke playfully to chanyeol as he continued to kiss her all over like an excited puppy. I rolled my eyes and slammed my locker, grabbing their attention.
“Oh, it’s dumb and fucker.”
“Genieeee.” Chanyeol said dragging my name. “Found a date yet?”
“Don’t patronize me, asshole.” I turned my head in a pissed off nature. Who does he think he is? At least my date won’t have the IQ of negative 12.
“She’s in a bad mood honey bun.” She spoke in a sweet voice, talking as if I wasn’t standing right here.
I scoffed and turned away. “For your info, I have a date, he just, doesn’t know it yet.”
“Thanks, coach!” I said while running off the field. Soccer practice has become particularly grueling lately, now that the next game will be against our biggest competition. Berkwood high, our rivals since before this school was even a thing. Everyone from that school is a complete asshole, in all honesty, they’re stuck up attitudes make you want to choke them to death, then do the same to yourself. Surprisingly the soccer players are worst than the football players in this case. Probably because most of their football players aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed. Our football team always wins against theirs, but their soccer team is better and much harder to beat. Too bad for them though, because lately we’ve been on a winning streak, and I don’t plan to stop that any time soon. But with all that being said, I have been so busy prom is the last thing on my mind. Which translates to - “I don’t have a date or a tux, so im not going.”
I sprinted into the locker room and went straight to taking off my soccer jersey. No matter how much I love soccer, I hate the dirty feeling I have afterward. Sweat, grass, and a dank odor, all things I hate when I'm not on the field.
“Nice abs.” I jumped from the sudden voice filling my ears and interrupting my thoughts. I instinctively covered my stomach with my arm before looking up at the intruder.
“Gina.”
“Sehun.”
“Just what the hell do you want?”
“You.”
A fantasy. “What?”
She looked at me with a smirk and her pretty eyes were low. Im pretty sure I fantasized about this before, but I have a lot of those so I can’t say for certain. she gave a little pout before reaching out for my arm. revealing my abs again.
“I really need your help, sehun.”
“You and I both know when you need help it means I might end up either getting my ass beat or getting expelled.”
“That won’t happen this time. I just am in a prom crisis.”
“What do you mean?”
“Me and baekhyun broke up. Didn’t you hear?”
“I heard, but I thought it was all just a stupid rumor.”
“No, he dumped me after mae made up a stupid rumor that he slept with her. And I kind of.....tried to ruin her life after that. So now he thinks I'm some kind of monster, or whatever.”
“Ahhh I seeee, so im your last resort.”
“W-well, y-yeahh.”
My eyes traveled from her face to her body, the only reason I'm hesitant is because I don’t want her to see how excited I actually am. To be honest, I have had my eye on her since I first came to this school, but baekhyun swept her up before I gained the balls to say even a word to her. No girl has caught my attention since I met her, so this is the moment I’ve been waiting for. All I ever wanted was one night with her, one night, and she’ll fall in love. I just know it!
“Well, you’re in luck. I’ve been so busy lately, I haven’t had the time to find a date.”
“Oh my god! That’s perfect! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
She hugged me in excitement and I felt self-conscious about how sweaty and smelly I must be. I don’t think she minded though.
About an hour later, I was clean and walking down the busy halls. I can’t help but think I should tell baekhyun about the fact that I'm going to prom with his ex of what? like a week? Me and him are friends so I owe it to him don’t i? But then again everyone on the football team and soccer team are friends, so does it reallyyy matter? Fuck it, we’re friends but not so close that I owe him an explanation for this. What I really should be thinking about is what I'm going to wear. It’s late but I think i can still get my hands on a tuxedo.
“Sehun! Get your ass over here!”
I looked to the left side of the hall at baekhyun yelling at me with his arm over that mae girl. He looks like a complete asshole if you ask me, i still don’t know how gina ever fell for him of all people. I walked over to him with only one thing on my mind.
Should i tell him?
“Long time no talk! Where you been?”
“Yeah, I’ve been busy on the field. We have a big game coming up.”
“Oh rigghht the game. Well, good luck with that.” He gave a bright smile to me as if that was going to put more umph to his words. The hell is he so happy for?
“Yeah, thanks.” I said as i side eyed mae.
“Oh! that reminds me. Do you have a date for prom yet? I'm asking because i could always help you out.”
“N-no need. I have a date.” I said startled by the sudden question. Is he always this nice? I never expected a sentence like that to come from him.
“Oh? Who’s that?”
“Oooh! I know!” Mae randomly barged her way into our convo. “It’s that girl from the volleyball team that goes to all of your soccer games!”
I was surprised by her answer but ended up scowling in my head. Who could be friends with such a big mouth, good lord. I don’t even know what girl she’s talki- never mind, i do. But still, could she just shut up. “It’s not her. I’m sure she has a date by now though.”
“Just tell usss, we’re going to see you there anyway.” Baekhyun said before lightly hitting my arm.
He’s right, everyone is going to see us there. There’s no reason to hide it any longer. I looked down at my feet and murmured gina’s name.
“Who?” Baekhyun asked with a confused pout.
“Yeah, who?” Mae asked like some kind of echo to baekhyun. This just might be the worst couple I’ve ever seen, and that says a lot since i go to high school.
I rolled my eyes discreetly before clearing my throat. “Gina.”
It felt like after the mention of her name they both went on pause. Baekhyun looked completely shook as he looked at me, making no other movements. Mae looked the same way but with a tinge more anger probably due to baekhyun’s reaction.
Is it really that big of a deal?
“Well, if you will excuse me.” I said quietly to the two statue-like people standing in front of me. “I have a tux to rent.”
My hand ran through my hair when i walked out of my last class. Today was unexpectedly a success, to be honest. Sehun of all people not having a date yet is a pure miracle. I mean, you can’t blame me for thinking that since he’s almost as popular as baekhyun. You would guess some girl would be up his ass about the prom by now. All that aside, I’m just glad i don’t have to go stag or attend the prom with one of those cringe “gal dates” on some, my prom date is my best friend shit. Plus i don’t hang out with losers so why would any of my friends not have a date. It would just never work.
I reached for the door with my right hand. completely ready to get out of this trash ass school until i felt someone grip my left hand. I could tell it was baekhyun by how soft the palm of his hand is. He still has calluses on his fingertips from trying to learn how to play the guitar with chanyeol. He still owes me a love song. And i still want it.
“What do you want, baekhyun?”
“So i guess i’m going to see you at prom with sehun tomorrow.” What he said wasn’t a question in the slightest. I looked at him as his head was a bit low. He looked genuinely hurt by the situation. But what did he expect from me? Did he want me to not go to prom, or go alone and sad, while i watch him dance with the bitch that made up a fucked up rumor to get between us? “I-i understand. I guess it just didn’t hit me that you’ll be there with someone else.” He added after locking eyes with me.
“Well, that’s unfortunate. It definitely hit me hard that you’re going with maeline of all people.” I pulled my hand out of his and folded my arms.
“There’s more to that story than what it looks like. I didn’t do it to hurt you.”
“Save it. Don’t come to me like this. Remember who broke up with who. Despite what i tell people.”
“Gina.” His eyes had so many emotions in them it pissed me off. Who is he to break up with me and still have me feel helpless with just one look. He’s like hurting me. I don’t get hurt though. I hurt people. This isn’t me.
“I don’t care what you have to say baekhyun. At this point, all i want to do is go to prom, get my crown, and fuck sehun for being such a good date.”
Even i winced a bit after saying that. Although, i hope he feels just as bad as i do. Yes, I know. I'm a bitch.
Baekhyun’s puppy-like eyes filled with something other than hurt before he looked away from me for the first time since he made eye contact with me. “You’re right. Why am i here with you?” He said with his cheeks heating up most likely in anger. “I should be with my date right now. I think i’ll take her to my parent's cabin after prom too.”
“B-but, that’s our place.”
“No, it isn’t, there is no ours. Because there is no us. Not anymore. I get it now. Your feelings were never as deep as mine.”
He sniffled and took a deep breath before storming past me and bumping into my shoulder out of the doors behind my back.
Tonight is the night. I just hope it lives up to my expectations, because if not i can guarantee I'm going to scream in someone's face. My mom always told me her prom was sooo amazing because that was the night my dad told her he loved her. Now, i definitely won’t be hearing that tonight, but in my defense getting the prom queen title will be better. I think. And i know my mom can’t relate to that. So ha!
I smoothed out my dress while staring myself down in the mirror. The dress i picked is a dark red satin, strapless, open back ball gown with high slits. It’s like what a really sexy princess would wear. Which is pretty much my aesthetic. I smiled at myself in complete satisfaction with how i look right now. Im so fucking hot. How can people even handle me?
“Honey! Your date is here!”
Deep breath in and a soft slow one out. Why am i nervous? I asked myself as i walked out of my room and to the stairs. I always wanted this moment to be with baekhyun. Him, at the bottom of the stairs, and me ascending down like an angel in the disguise of a really fucking hot teenage girl. His face in complete shock because of how stunning i am, and me smiling as if i don’t know how good i look, even though i know for damn sure im drop dead gorgeous. I was daydreaming so hard when i reached the stairs i almost had a heart attack after missing a step. if my hand didn’t death grip the wooden rail i would have definitely face planted by now. I gave a shy smile to my parents and sehun who were staring at me. I probably looked like an idiot just now, but with the way sehun is looking at me, im going to guess i didn’t look thaaat bad. I continued my slow walk down the stairs so everyone could bask in my beautiful presence. I took sehun’s hand when i got to the bottom and kissed him on the cheek as thanks. A flash hit my side profile and i whipped my head towards my mom to scowl at her.
“I'm sorry honey you just looked so gorgeous.”
I dropped my scowl for a sweet smile and nodded. “Naturally. I guess i can understand that reaction.” I spoke smugly.
Sehun’s hand traveled to my waist. “Yes, you look gorgeous. Like i just-”
“Hands off the merchandise kid. Don’t make me cut those fingers off.” My dad said with all the intimidation he could muster up.
my mom hit him lightly on the chest to stop him from staring at my date “Lenny.” She said, soft but stern.
“Right, well we wouldn’t want that now would we.” Sehun spoke sarcastically while trying to still seem polite.
“Let’s just get out of here!” I grabbed sehuns and made my way to the door as i heard my parents say random things in the background. I wasn’t listening though.
“A limo! Sehun you shouldn’t have!” I said with a surprised smile.
“You ordered it though?”
“Ugh, it’s perfect!” I said as the chauffeur opened the door for me. I smiled as he helped me in. A princess never gets tired of being treated like one. Sehun plopped in after me with no help from the chauffeur even though his face made it seem like he wanted it.
“So, chanyeol is coming?” The handsome boy asked.
“Yes, actually he is.”
“Oh.” Silence filled the vehicle and i already started scrolling through my phone. If this was baekhyun, he would have been talking my ear off, and i would have given the same thing back. I guess the rumor that he liked me was really just a rumor. If he did he would be more talkative right?
“I'm sorry. I'm awkward like this because i’ve always dreamed of going to prom with you. You’re probably already thinking not too good things about me.” The boy said while rubbing the back of his neck out of nervousness.
I looked at him with wide eyes. “Me? Not to sound insecure or oblivious, but why me?”
“Yeah, you. If I'm being honest i have liked you since i first saw you at homecoming.”
“That early huh? Well, how come you never made a move on me, sehun?” I said and nudged him playfully.
“Well, if you haven’t realized, im a strong believer in the whole love is timing type of thing. I watch for an opening more than i make openings. If that even makes sense.”
I was looking deep into his eyes without even noticing. His words are so genuine and his eyes are shaking and nervous. If i touched his hand right now i bet it would be moist from a small amount of sweat. He’s so sweet. I was smiling without trying and somehow our places on the seats of this limo came closer to each other. He’s so different from baekhyun, which for right now, seems like all i need.
“I just admired you from afar for a while. So im nervous because all the things i wanted are coming to me so suddenly.” A nervous chuckle came out of his mouth when i came even closer to him than before. He cleared his throat and nodded his head as if he was agreeing with himself to keep calm. “I don’t know why I'm nervous. I'm not usually like this.”
“Who would have thought the cunning star soccer player oh sehun was such a cute, nervous mess.”
“Im not.” He said looking at me with a goofy kind of smile.
“Prove it.” I looked him in the eyes intensely daring him to make the first move in the back of this limo. “I promise i don’t bite. I might scratch a little though.”
He looked mesmerized before we both got startled by the screaming heard from outside the limo. I didn’t notice that we had stopped moving until now. I sighed before the door of the limo was harshly pulled open and chanyeol jumped in without acknowledging me and sehun. We both moved out of the way instinctively as he pushed his way in. He had a bottle of champagne in hand while he pulled jayde in and onto his lap.
“Oh my god! You look so good gina!” She yelled before chanyeol moved her out of his way so he could get a good look at me. They obviously did some pre-partying before they got in here. Judging by their appearance they most likely made out on her doorstep and drunk more than half of that champagne bottle in chanyeol’s hand. Real classy.
Jayde climbed all over me with compliments and as i fought off her affection, i spotted in the corner of my eye chanyeol staring down my date in confusion. “Sehun?” Chanyeol asked with a completely surprised look.
“Hm?” Sehun asked reluctantly. He didn’t look at chanyeol in the eye when he answered which helped me understand what’s going on perfectly. He’s scared of chanyeol. And there is a high chance of chanyeol trying whip sehun’s ass for going with me to prom. So he has good reason to be.
“What the fuck!?” Chanyeol said loudly. Sehun looked so uncomfortable trying not to provoke him any more than he’s provoking himself. “Why would you go with her? Aren’t you supposed to be baekhyun’s friend?” Chanyeol asked aggressively.
“Look. They’re broken up now. get over it.” Sehun looked at him in the eyes finally with an almost cold stare. I sighed before lowering my hands from jayde’s face. This isn’t going to be good. Considering how close he is to baekhyun, this is probably really triggering for him.
“Chanyeol, let it go. Just let him be.” Jayde said in a soft calming voice i didn’t know she had. I nodded in agreement.
Oh, did i forget to say that? Chanyeol has slight anger issues. And when it comes to someone he cares about, there’s no way he isn’t going to get heated.
The huge boy jumped from his seat and grabbed the collar of sehun’s tuxedo and pulled his fist back before sehun pushed him off and a full on fight between the two broke out. I sat there and watched as jayde barged in trying to break them apart.
What a fucking disaster.
The only thing that could make this worst is-
All of a sudden the car came to a hard stop sliding us all to the other side of the limo. I was cushioned by the seats while everyone else had a rougher ride. I got up to knock on the partition. “Hey! what the fuck is wrong with you!?”
The door of the limo whipped open and the chauffeur popped his head with an angry expression. I looked at him in complete confusion.
“Everyone out. now!”
“I refuse!” I said with a pout. How could he put us out like that. No, no, how could he put me out like that!? Im the one who paid for this stupid fucking limo, plus, i wasn’t even participating in that heathen like behavior.
“I said out!”
“Okay, okay!” Jayde said as she got out first. Chanyeol pushed sehun out of the vehicle while he stepped out too.
I let my face stay in one of annoyance and confusion as i looked at the rude chauffeur. How dare he. “Ugh! At least let me stay i wasn’t even doing anything!” I pleaded.
“No! I would rather go broke then go through another wild prom night. Did your parents not teach you any manners. The hell is wrong with this generation!?”
I scrunched up my face as he pulled me out of the car with his glove covered hand. Sehun grabbed me away from the man with a scowl. “It’s alright we’ll just call an uber.”
“Tch! Good fucking luck!” The chauffeur yelled at us before hopping in his limo and hauling ass like a maniac.
Loving prom night already.
It’s been about an hour since i arrived and if I'm being honest with myself i haven’t taken my eyes off of the entrance since i walked in here. I can’t help but want to see her on the night she used to talk about with me all the time. The one night i always imagined with her.
But despite that, she’s a snake in a sexy little sheep costume. She never really loved me and i have to remind myself of that when i see her. Which will hopefully be soon. Only so i can prove to myself that i can stay strong. She’s not good for me. And neither is mae but that’s another story for another day.
“Baekhyunniee!” Mae squeaked as she jumped up to throw her arms around my neck.
“Hey...”
“Are you having a good timee?”
“You could say that. Where have you been?” i asked cutely even though i didn’t really care.
“Oh, you knowww, here and there. Want something to drink?”
I hummed a response and looked away. I wish i cared more about how suspicious she was just now. If it was gina i would have pressed more.
Speak of the devil.
I caught her eyes as she waltzed in like some kind of angel. I bit my lip when i looked from her head to the end of her dark red dress. I always loved that color on her. I sucked in breath and tried my best to look away but those slits that show her soft thighs are driving me crazy. What i would give to just fu-
“Oh, look what the cat dragged in.” Mae said as she roughly handed me my cup.
“Thanks.”
The girl snagged my hand dragged me in the direction gina and sehun were standing. I have to admit they look together. Saying that to myself will keep me from strangling him. I think.
“Oh! Genie you cameee!” Mae said with fake surprise. I rolled my eyes and gently pulled my hand out of hers only to have her swing my arm around her shoulders.
Gina smiled and touch sehun’s arm lightly. “Well of course, how could i not? I would never miss the biggest night of my life.”
“Well, i just thought since you lost one thing very important to you already. You might lose something else tonight. It might have been better to stay home.”
The beautiful girl in red cocked one eyebrow and tilted her head. “Poor poor maeline. If you want to be prom queen you could have just said so. I would have let you have it gladly. But only after you take out of my cold dead manicure.”
Gina bumped shoulders with mae before walking away with sehun’s hand in hers. “Hm, i bet she thinks she’s got it in the bag. But i know for sure she won’t win.” Mae smirked and lifted her drink to her mouth.
“Do you know....who will?” i asked only to see if she’ll say what im thinking.
“Me of course.”
I knew it. “Mae, d-did you tamper with the votes?”
“Maybe. Don’t worry baekhyunnie, you’re still prom king.” She said with a wink.
Well shit.
“here.” Sehun spoke while handing me a red plastic cup.
“Thanks. I'm sorry you had to see that.” I took a sip of my drink thinking about how he must think im a monster like baekhyun now.
“No, no, it’s no big deal. That girl deserves to be told off a thousand times. If i were you i would have clocked her by now.”
“Well, with all that being said, it did hurt figuring out that someone i thought was my friend really wasn’t. And because of the weird way i react to being hurt, baekhyun thinks im some fucked up psycho and not only that but im almost positive maeline’s parents are in the process of a divorce.”
“Goddamn. The hell did you do?”
I stared at him with emotionless eyes. “I don’t want to talk about it.”
“Alright, alright. I won’t press.”
We looked away from each other and stopped talking completely. Maybe i should have just told him what i did. My eyes locked on the dance floor as everyone there smiled brightly and danced about. They look so carefree. I want that.
“Sehun? Are you a dancer?” I asked before taking another sip of my drink.
“Not really.” He spoke with a shy smile.
I looked at him while returning the smile, then looked back to the dance floor. I could faintly hear sehun talk to me before i zoned out on baekhyun. He sported a black suit, no tie, and his dress shirt was opened just enough so you could see his perfect chest peeking out. I held my breath when he smiled. He looks so good tonight. How can i control myself with him looking like that?
“Gina?” Sehun called my name noticing i wasn’t paying attention. I hummed a response but kept my eyes on baekhyun the whole time. Finally, the dazzling boy locked eyes with me from afar. At this point, i tuned out everything else but him. He’s the only thing i can see, and i don’t hate it.
He smirked at me when i looked at his chest. He cocked one eyebrow to provoke me more and i chuckled a bit into my hand. I watched him leave the dance floor and walk closer to the table me and my date are seated at. I straightened up and put my hands in my lap trying to keep my composure.
“Could i possibly steal your date?”
I looked at sehun’s face with a slight surprise in my eyes. I had no idea he was going to ask that. Sehun looked from baekhyun to me like he was thinking hard on the situation. Now that we’re here like this i feel like an asshole because im not going to hesitate to get up and leave with baekhyun even though i came here with sehun. I wish i could stop the strong hold he has on me. But then again, maybe i just don’t want to.
Sehun looked upset by this but nodded again like before. He exhaled and closed his eyes before reluctantly saying, "No reason to ask my permission. She was always yours anyways."
He looks defeated and it's my fault. I shouldn't have come here with him. Baekhyun gently slid his hand in mine before pulling me up out of my chair and leading us out of the room the prom is being held in. I looked back at sehun until the crowd blocked my view of him. I messed up with him, but i have to follow my heart. We entered the empty hall silently, walking with a lot of words on our chests. Baekhyun stopped walking to turn towards me with his eyes glistening with emotion. I’m sure mine looked just the same.
"Okay. there are obvious feelings between us still. Even after everything." I said wanting to lead the conversation instead of him.
"Hard ones." He added softly.
"So, I'm just going to give up and say it. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for being such a bitch, I'm sorry for the way i treated you and everyone else. Im so sorry for reacting the way i did when i heard the rumor. If only i knew how to not react to being hurt with trying to hurt, things would have been different."
"Im sorry too. Im sorry for not noticing. And I'm so sorry for agreeing to go to prom with mae. I just thought if i did it would make up for the things she was going through after what you did."
"It was my fault. I should have fixed it myself. I feel terrible for putting you in that position. I'm trouble. I don't understand why you ev-"
"Hey, you're the best kind of trouble. We all have our problems, But you wouldn't be you without them, and i only want you."
I stared at him before my eyes got heavier and our lips were pulling each other closer like magnets. It feels so good to get everything off my chest. It feels so good to not hide anymore, or have to put up a strong front. With him, i can be myself and that makes me happy. And not just my head, but my heart too. isn't that all people ask for? His right hand slid into the slit of my skirt and i slid my hand in the opening of his dress shirt. I could feel his heart beating faster the farther he got up my thigh. I think it's adorable. If i couldn't feel it with my hands i would have never guessed that i make his heart race like this.
"Baby, baby. I have something to tell you. You know, while we're getting things out in the air." He spoke between kisses.
"And what is that?" I asked while unbuttoning his shirt more for my satisfaction.
"Maeline tampered with the prom queen votes." He said reluctantly.
"Oh yeah, i know." I said, now sliding my hands down his torso.
"Wait you-"
"Who do you think i am baekhyun? There's almost nothing i don't know when it comes to the goings on in my fucking school." He smiled with an impressed look on his face and bit my smiling bottom lip. "Now, let's go to the infamous abandoned party planning room and forget about prom for tonight."
"I fucking love you." He whispered while excitedly pushing his forehead into mine.
"I love you too baekhyun."
I have a strong feeling that’s going to be the last time i see gina while she’s not with baekhyun. Actually that’s wrong, he’s always going to have her heart. I know because i can feel it in mine. Something else i know is that they aren’t coming back. Which suhcks. I exhaled deeply. Just calm down sehun, Tonight was good enough for now, Your timing was just a bit off. Next time it’ll work out. Yeah next time.
“Okay prom goers! It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for! Time to announce the prom king and queen!” The young history teacher yelled through the microphone.
I hope baekhyun doesn’t get it.
Yeah, i said it.
“Drumroll please!”
I looked around the room for any sign of the two only to find a smirking maeline. I wonder if she even noticed her date is gone. She finally started to look around the room and i quickly turned my head so she won’t come this way. But, to no avail, i could hear her heels clapping this way aggressively.
“Where! the hell! is baekhyun!?” She yelled at my side profile.
“I wish i knew.”
“Oh, you know. Now tell me! Before they call my name!”
Her name?
“Dude, if i knew, which i don’t, i would tell you.”
“And this year's prom queen and king arrreee!”
“Tell me, damn it!” She yelled louder as if that was going to change anything as she roughed up my tux. I'm not saying i would hurt a woman. But if i was a girl, maeline could catch these hands.
“Gina hwang and byun baekhyun!” The history teacher yelled again excitedly.
I clapped along with everyone else while mae’s grip on me loosened. She looked pale with confusion and i snorted up a laugh before trying my best to hold it down. She thought she was going to win.
“Congradulations! Come on up heree!”
“Looks like tonight is just not your night maeline.” Her face changed expressions quickly and her eyes watered fast. She stomped her foot and i put my hand on her shoulder.
“Byun baekhyun!? Gina hwang!?” The teacher looked around n confusion.
“Come on. I’ll buy you some ice cream, you snakey bitch.”
Maeline sniffled and nodded her head with a pout as she moved my hand off her shoulder. For some reason, she looks kind of...cute.
“No seriously, where is baekhyun and gina?!”

CHAPTER FIVE THE CIRCLE
“Honey,” Eric's mom said at the kitchen table, “what kind of food does Donna like?” Eric was halfway through his breakfast, pancakes slathered in maple syrup. He gulped down some orange juice, in preparation to give his mom a thorough answer, but his dad spoke first: “How's the boy supposed to know that? He's barely met the girl.” “I just though he'd seen what she'd eaten at lunch. Eric, you have been sitting at lunch with her, haven't you?” “Oh, yeah,” Eric said, and it wasn't a complete lie. He'd eaten lunch with her once in this life but thousands of times in his other one. “Chicken Parmesan's her favorite meal. She, uh … she told me. She also loves strawberries.” Mom smiled, and her blue eyes crinkled. “Thank you, sweetie. I'm going grocery shopping for our dinner this Saturday. I want to make sure Donna's comfortable. Her father looks like he'll eat anything, and Midge—” She twirled a finger around her temple. “She probably won't notice what she's eating.” “What you're mother's trying to say, Eric,” Red said and turned the page of his newspaper, “is that the neighbor girl's mom is a ditz.” “Red, I did not say that.” She nodded at Eric and mouthed, “That's exactly what I'm saying.”
Eric ate a bite of pancakes, and the syrup tasted sweeter than before. Even if he wasted today and tomorrow, that dinner would give him and Donna a real chance to bond. All he had to do was not alienate her further. But Coach Ferguson alienated him during gym. It was the first class of the day. Twenty-five minutes in, and Eric's second greatest wish was never to see a soccer ball again. He'd been made goalie of his team for some incomprehensible reason. The soccer ball sailed past him one too many times, and the more athletic students on his team converged on him. “Hey, quit it!” Kelso said and moved in front of Eric. “He may be a lousy goalie, but he's got it up here.” Kelso pointed to his head. “He knows stuff. Spooky stuff.” “Either take his place, Smells-so,” Kevin Oakridge shouted, “or get outta the way!” “Fine!” Kelso turned around and patted Eric on the shoulder. “Take my position. I got you covered.” Eric left the orange cones that served as goal posts. He had trouble believing what had just happened, but when he glanced back at Kelso, Kelso gave him a thumbs-up. Several minutes later, Eric blocked a kick from Fez, who was on the opposing team. The ball slammed into Eric's stomach, and he grunted. Fez had put all his strength into the shot, as if he were aiming for Eric's beanbags and not the goal. “Fez,” Eric said as Kevin took control of the ball, but Fez sprinted to another part of the gym. Gym ended, as always, with Eric covered in sweat. He had a few short minutes to towel off and change from his gym clothes. By the time he was finished, Kelso and Fez were both gone from locker room. No chance to ask them questions. During homeroom, Eric found Hyde but no answers. “Have no clue what's going on in Kelso's skull.” Hyde said. “You got history class with him next. Find out.” Eric planned on doing just that, but his shoulders stiffened as Mrs. Bridges went through the school announcements. “How did you know I have history?” Hyde's attention was on Mrs. Bridges, and he gestured for Eric to be quiet. “You're such a teacher's pet,” Eric said. “Get bent, Forman.” But Hyde seemed more annoyed than pissed, and he walked with Eric to the hallway after homeroom. “Donna's got history,” he said. Eric’s stomach hollowed out. Hyde had memorized Donna's schedule, just as Eric had done in his other life. Hyde wanted her, just as Eric did. Only, in this life, Hyde had a much better chance with her.
Eric entered history class unsure of where to sit. Donna and Kelso were already at their usual desks, with Pam Macy sitting beside Kelso. But as Eric passed by their aisle, Kelso shouted, “You!” Eric braced himself for an attack. Kelso's friendly attitude in gym class must’ve been an anomaly — or a setup — but the attack never came. “Why're you just standing there?” Kelso said and slapped Donna's desk. “Sit down.” Eric looked at Donna questioningly, but she offered him no assurances. She had her pencil out and wrote in her notebook. Kelso slapped her desk again. “Move down a seat, Donna.” She continued writing. “Knock it off, dillhole” . “Move down a seat.” Kelso shut her notebook. “Me and Eric have to talk.” She glared at him. “What?” “Kelso, leave her alone,” Eric said. “I'll go somewhere else—” “No, I'll go.” She picked up her notebook and backpack and left the aisle completely. Eric's instinct was to grab her arm and tell her to wait, but he took her desk instead. Kelso leaned in close to him and whispered, “I gotta thank you.” He hiked his thumb at Pam Macy. “Me and Pam didn't stop at making out yesterday.” “That's … fantastic, Kelso.” Eric tore a page from his notebook and began turning it into a paper football. “So why, exactly, are you thanking me?” “Because you know me better than myself. I can't be tied down to one woman, and Pam's totally cool about me fooling around with other chicks. That was your plan all along, to free me from monogamy.” Eric ripped his piece of paper in half. “Sure.” Kelso wagged a finger in Eric's face. “I see your plan now. You're here to make all our lives better, like some kind of genie. The Genie of Janesville.” Eric didn't argue. If Kelso thought Eric was supernatural, so be it. Better than having to fend off Kelso's fists everyday. “So who're you gonna help next?” Kelso said. “Hyde?” “Who knows?” Eric was folding his strip of paper into triangles. “But no hard feelings about Jackie?” “No way. She would've told me not to fool around with other girls, and Pam—” Kelso's next word was garbled. His body jerked back, and Eric spotted the cause. Pam Macy's arm was under Kelso's desk, and a smirk glided over her lips. Eric focused on finishing his paper football. Donna didn't know how lucky she was he'd taken her desk. Mr. Wilcox arrived to class late but not late enough for Kelso. Pam withdrew her hand from him, and Kelso shrieked. He pushed himself from the desk and fled the classroom, no doubt to finish Pam’s work in the bathroom. Mr. Wilcox cleared his throat and continued the week's lesson the Cold War. Kelso's absence had to be on his mind. Class disruptions were more than a pet peeve to him. He took them as a personal affront, which was why Eric behaved himself during class. Getting a detention in this life would interfere with his other life, depriving him of a precious hour to win Donna back. “People aren't property,” Mr. Wilcox said when Kelso eventually returned. “But in communist societies, everyone is treated as a slave — and you, Mr. Kelso, will see me after class.” “But I see you now,” Kelso said. “After class, Mr. Kelso.” “Fine!” Class continued with Kelso scrawling angry notes. Eric glanced at Kelso's notebook, afraid that Kelso blamed him for his trouble, but Kelso wrote about experiencing his own Cold War because of Mr. Wilcox. Eric didn't leave his desk when the bell rang. He had study hall with Donna next, with Mrs. Fletcher supervising. It would be a prime talking opportunity, but he needed to give Donna space. She had to see he wouldn't pen her in, and letting her walk the halls without him stepping on her heels was a good start. Kelso sneaked behind Pam on his way out of the row, but Mr. Wilcox called him to the front of the classroom. “I had a bathroom emergency!” Kelso shouted after a minute-and-a-half, and that was Eric's signal to leave. He strolled out of the classroom, walking slowly to give Donna even more time. If he bumped into her in the stairwell or hallway, that was fate's fault, not his. But he got to study hall without seeing her, and her red hair was like a signal fire. He found her easily among the other students already seated. The tables were full of yammering guys and chattering girls, including Jackie and her cheer-squad friends. Donna had taken a table in the corner and seemed to be actually studying. Eric curled his fingers into his palms. His hands weren't sweaty yet, but his heart beat loudly in his ears. Donna's affect on him was as frustrating as it was necessary. In his other life, those few hours without her had turned him into a breathing corpse. Having to live a lifetime without her wasn't a prospect he'd consider. “Can I sit at the table with you?” he said by her shoulder, and her head dropped to her chest, like he was intolerable to her. “I don't mean next to you.” He gestured to the other end of the table. “I'll sit over there, but I figured I'd ask your permission since you think I'm — well, since you don't like me very much.” Her head rose with a sigh. “It’s a free country.” He went to the end of the table and sat down. His blood thrummed with his pulse, with his small victory. She hadn't rejected him. She hadn't pushed him away, and he removed the triangular paper football from his backpack.
“Will you ever talk to me again?” he wrote on the football and flicked it across the table. His aim was perfect. The paper football landed on Donna's notebook, and every gaze at the table turned toward it, including Donna's.
Her hand glided over the football and pulled it closer. She must have read his message because her hair fell over her face, and she wrote on the football herself. The football sailed through the air a moment later and smacked Eric in the chin. “I haven't decided yet,” she'd written below his message. He ran his thumb over her round, feminine scrawl before writing, “I'm not an asshole.”
He tossed the paper football across the table. Hands not belonging to Donna reached for it, but they were too slow. Donna snatched the football from the table and wrote on it again. She threw it back to Eric, and her message said, “But you are creepy.” “And you're judgmental,” he wrote. “True,” her next message said. “Sorry.” “But I can see why you think I'm creepy,” he wrote and threw the paper football to her. It hit her arm; but she read his message, wrote below it, and tossed the football back. “How did you know?” her message said. The question was tiny but not illegible. That side of the paper football had run out of writing space, and he flipped it over to the other side. “I dove head-first into Kelso and Jackie's lives the first day I met them.” He chucked the football toward Donna, but someone grabbed it out of the air: Debbie Filipelli, an honors student and well-known gossip-monger. Donna stood from the table and moved menacingly toward her, and Debbie relinquished the football to Donna's custody. Donna took a moment to write her next message, and she hurled the paper football so hard it overshot the table. Eric had to get up to retrieve it. The power she put into her throw must’ve been for safety's sake, to prevent other people from getting the football. “No,” her message began. “I mean, how did you know Kelso was a cheater?” “Our first history class,” he wrote. “His eyes + Pam Macy's boobs. Simple math.” She smiled as she read his message, and he grinned at reading her next one: “So you're not a sociopath. You're just perceptive?” “Yes!” he wrote, and the tip of his pencil broke in his enthusiasm. He pulled a pen from his backpack and kept writing. “That's what I've been trying to tell you.” He'd drawn smiley-face beside the last word, but she didn't seem to appreciate his artwork or his message. She unfolded the football and refolded it, exposing a blank space to write.
“You're also a busy body,” her message said, “sticking your nose into other people's business.” “Was trying to help,” he wrote. She read his message looked over at Jackie, who was deep in conversation with her fellow cheerleaders. Jackie gestured wildly, and her voice carried but not enough for Eric to make out full sentences. Donna inhaled a heavy breath. Her shoulders drooped while she wrote, and she flicked the football back to Eric. She'd given him her longest response yet: “You probably did help Jackie, but I haven't made my mind up about you. You could still be a sociopath in a perceptive guy's body.” “Fair enough,” he wrote back, “but I promise you, Donna, I don't want anything from you other than friendship.” It was a lie. He wanted a lot more from her than friendship, but that was in his other life. In this one, all he wanted — needed — from her was a kiss. “Sociopaths lie to get what they really want,” her next message said. “Actions speak louder than words.” He turned the paper football around for a clear space to write in large letters, “What do you really want?” She read his message and stuck her pencil between her teeth. Her fingers drummed on the table, and her gaze drifted to the ceiling before writing him back. “For you not to be so damn creepy.” It was her last message to him. By the time he looked up from the football, she was on her way out of the study hall. He stuffed the paper football into his backpack. He and Donna hadn’t developed any trust between them yet, but at least she'd started to communicate with him.
But he still had plenty of work to do — and not just with her. He approached Jackie’s table, and six pairs of eyes turned toward him. They belonged to the cheer squad, and he found no kindness in them, only judgment. “Jackie,” he said, “it's time to settle up.” Jackie rose from her chair. “Not here,” she whispered and pointed to the center of the room. She strode ahead of him. He followed, but standing in the middle of all the tables made him feel exposed. Even Mrs. Fletcher glanced at him from her desk. “Can't we sit somewhere?” he said. She scoffed and clasped her hands behind her back. “Where people can't see exactly what we're doing? Please. Do you know how much damage control I had to do because of Timmy Wilson's big, fat mouth? I'm sorry, Derek, but...” She jutted out her bottom lip in what had to be false-sympathy. “You're just too skinny and weird for me to make-out with, despite that you're friends with Buddy Morgan.” “Okay, first of all, it's Eric, not Derek. Second...” A scathing burn surfaced in his mind, but she hadn't paid him yet. If he antagonized her, she could back out of their deal. “All I want from you is those tickets.” “What tickets?” He gaped at her. She couldn't have forgotten their bargain. She'd just referenced the gossipy fall-out from their negotiations. “To the Rundgren concert in Milwaukee!” “Oh.” She examined her nails, as if this conversation couldn't be more boring. “My dad left for a business trip this morning. He won't be back until Sunday night, so I can't get you any Todd Rundergament tickets.” She lookat at him again. “But I heard there's a Rush concert in two weeks. I could get you tickets for that.” He gripped the top of his hair, and his cheeks grew hot. “For the love of — I ask you to do one thing!” “Don't shout at me!” She swung her foot at him. It connected with his shin, and pain spread through his tibia. He doubled over with a grunt, and by the time he recovered, she was back at her table of cheerleaders.
Eric spent all of music class fantasizing about calling WFPP, winning the Rundgren tickets, and presenting them to Donna. He thought about it on his way to the cafeteria, about the kiss she'd give him as a reward. The angel didn't specify that the kiss be on Eric's lips. A kiss, freely given, to his cheek had to count just as much. “Gross” Edna — Hyde's mom — dropped a greasy hamburger onto Eric's tray. He grabbed a fistful of potato chips and scurried from her sight. She was known to bitch-out students if they didn't move fast enough. Eric went toward Buddy's table. The spot across from Buddy was unoccupied, but shouts of “Eric, over here!” and “Yo, Forman!” drew his attention. Kelso and Hyde were calling him to their table. This was new, and Eric grasped his tray hard enough to make his knuckles hurt. Fez was still in the lunch line, but his objections to Eric's presence would likely be ignored. Donna, though, was seated next to Hyde. She bit into a potato chip and stared at Eric, as if challenging him to sit across from her. She had no idea who she was messing with: a man with his future on the line. He changed directions and sat at her table. “So, any of you manage to bag tickets to the Rundgren concert?” he said before anyone else spoke. He had to act cool, as if Kelso and Hyde's invitation weren't a big deal. “'Cause I've had no luck.” “Been calling every night,” Hyde said. “Got through once — and was caller number eight.” “That sucks.” Eric bit into his hamburger. A mixture of grease and meat juice dribbled onto his chin, and he wiped it up with a napkin. A person had to be caller number thirteen to win tickets. “Timing is everything,” he said. “Too bad we don't have someone working there who could help us out.” Hyde angled his head toward the ceiling as he chewed his last bite of food. Eric recognized the look. Hyde was mulling over an idea. “While I'm against nepotism in any form,” he eventually said, “getting concert tickets could make me abandon my principles.” Kelso laughed. “Yeah. I'd abandon Principal Pridewell on the side of the road for Rundgren tickets.” “Principles,” Donna said, “not principals, you dink.” She picked up her hamburger but didn't bite into it. “Oh, man, I'd love to work for WFPP.” “And I'd love to work for Jackie,” Fez said. He'd arrived with a tray piled high with potato chips and sat beside Eric. “I'd be her assistant, and eventually she'd let me choose her outfits, and I'd be there while she got dressed—” “Fez, gross,” Donna said. “Could you at least try to be less skeevy?” Kelso thrust a potato chip in Fez's face. “If you go after Jackie, man, I'll shove one of these where the sun don't shine.” “Why would I care if you shove a potato chip in Sweden?” Fez snatched the chip from Kelso's fingers and ate it. “I mean it,” Kelso said. “Jackie's mine.” “But I thought you didn't want Jackie anymore,” Fez said. “Not if she's the only chick I can fool around with. But after I'm doing it with all the girls who don't care about stuff like that, I'll give Jackie a chance.” “But that could be years!” Kelso shrugged. “Thems the breaks, Fez.” Donna's nose wrinkled. “Give me a break. Kelso, Jackie can date whoever she wants, including Fez. You don't own her.” Eric instinct was to back her up. If they'd been in his other life, he would've done it without hesitation. But here, she might interpret his support as undermining her.
He kept his mouth shut, but Hyde said, “Hey, I don't want Fez dating Jackie either. We just got her out of our life, thanks to Forman.” “No, thanks to Kelso being a horny pig,” Donna said. “And, apparently, a self-entitled one.” “A self-en-what?” Kelso said. She put up her hand dismissively. “Never mind.” Fez put up his hand the same way examined it. “This feels powerful.” He held his hand steady and glared at both Kelso and Hyde in turn. “If I choose to pursue Jackie, that is my choice.” “But, Fez—” Kelso said. “My choice!” Fez put down his hand and continued to eat. “Whatever.” Hyde swiped a potato chip from Donna's tray. “Study sesh after school?” “Sure,” she said. Their easy interaction occupied Eric's mind through the rest of lunch. Donna's friendship with Hyde was impenetrable, inviolable. Trying to get between them would be a foolish endeavor. As much as the idea soured his stomach, he'd have to treat them as if they were two parts of a whole. Being on Hyde's good side had gotten him this far. If Eric concentrated on that, it might get him even farther.
OUTLINE MODE BEGINS
Chemistry class. Eric and Buddy continue the lab experiment from yesterday and write down the results.
Buddy Morgan says, “Things must have gone well yesterday because you sat with the redhead at lunch.”
Eric says yes and no. Donna thinks Eric's creepy, etc. And Jackie flaked out on giving Eric the Rundgren tickets. The bargains he's made here so far aren't panning out.
Buddy says that's too bad.
Buddy's a bit cold to Eric, and Eric wonders if it has to do with Eric not eating lunch with him.
Eric asks if Buddy wants to hang out with Eric after school. Eric says he plans on going to Donna's house, and there's no reason Buddy can't come, too. Buddy thanks him, smiling, but declines. He has plans of his own.
Eric leaves school concerned about his friendship with Buddy. He hopes he didn't lose it by not eating lunch with him one day. The Buddy in his other life isn't so sensitive or fickle. But in less than three days, this life's Buddy won’t be a concern for him anymore.
Eric cringes at that thought. It sounds so callous. Tomorrow, he’d make sure Buddy knows Eric really does appreciate him.
Eric also wants to make a peace offering to Donna and Hyde. So he buys pot from Leo at the Fotohut.
Afterward, Eric goes to Donna's with the pot in his backpack. Donna opens the front door, and Hyde's on the living room couch. His and Donna’s trig notebooks are open. They really are studying.
Eric shows them the bag of pot.
Hyde says, “Holy hell.”
Donna says, “Whoa.” Eric says, “And I've got the perfect place to smoke it.”
ERIC'S BASEMENT. Eric locks both basement doors, the one to the kitchen and the one to the outside. Donna comments on the creepiness of that, asks if Eric plans on getting them high them murdering them.
Hyde says Donna's paranoid, which Eric finds funny since Hyde's the paranoid one in Eric's other life.
Eric says it's just a safety precaution. If Eric's parents catch them down here, he's dead.
Donna says, “Some perfect place to smoke.”
Hyde tells Donna to lighten up on Eric.
DURING the circle, Eric tries to guide the conversation to women's rights. But Hyde's much better at talking about them than Eric is. Hyde, in Eric's other life, always was, too.
BY THE TIME the circle is over, Eric wonders why Donna was ever with Eric in his other life. Eric sucks, but he can do better. He prays to God that if he gets that kiss from Donna, he'll read all the Feminist books that exist.
The angel appears and says this is bargaining. “And didn't you say your bargains don't pan out?”
Eric says this whole situation is a bargain. The angel can't argue. Eric asks if he's doomed to failure. The angel says he's got a little more than three days left to figure that out.

// ( ♥ ) SSKT Commercials: Recording Information
On the new e-mail sent by KT to the lucky chosen to be part of the SuperStar KTWorld commercials (as seen on this post), the following pieces of information are given:
The filming of the commercials will be done in different locations and on different days, with some intercalating. Not everyone will be part of the same scene, and no one will film for more than a day. Each actor received a personalized e-mail with only the needed information for their own shooting which means they will not know about any of the other scenes to be recorded as a way to avoid as much leaking as possible. All actors and actress will be properly compensated for their work — except for the trainees and idols invited to be part of the shooting, whose money will go towards their company to help pay for their debt.
Actors and actresses who are filming in the morning are expected to arrive at their location by 6am unless specified otherwise and those recording in the afternoon should arrive by 11am. They’ll have their makeup done by professionals either in impromptu dressing rooms for on-site sets or in professional makeup areas for appropriate sets. Multiple takes will be taken of the same scene and the director will ask for a variety of expressions and emotions to make sure the final outcome is the best that there can be. Even if a take is supposedly perfect, they’ll still have to film it from different angles and with different expressions.
Catering will be available for lunch and snacks, although the morning actors are expected to leave after their scenes are done and those from the afternoon are adviced not to eat after getting their makeup done. However, no one will stop them from eating.
One thing not mentioned at all on the e-mail is that, upon arrival, a few of the actors were escorted to a private room by an unenthusiastic male staff member. Once they walk inside, they’ll find nothing much except for a man dressed in a fancy suit. He introduces himself as a Samsung representative and offers you a contract to a specific company, as listed below.
SON NAEUN ( KT ) ( @rkxsnn )
LEE JAEHYUN ( KT ) ( @rkhyunjae )
KIM TAEHYUNG ( TRC ) ( @rkxtae )
LEE JUYEON ( ROYAL ) ( @rkxljy )
LEE MINHYUNG ( SPHERE ) ( @rkmxrk )
KIM DONGHYUN ( NOVA ) ( @rkdonghyun )
The man tells you there is no need to sign right away, and, if you’d like, you could pass by the company’s building during the following week. Please review the contract on the corresponding company pages and submit a signed copy to the company to begin your training. You can read up on how to get started as a trainee here. If you choose not to accept the contract, send a message to the corresponding company blog saying that as well. Please submit your decision by midnight EST at the end of March 8th. Any questions can be directed to this blog or Mod Bianca. Congratulations!
[ OOC: The muses above were essentially being accepted on what is known as a “three second audition”, meaning they’ve been chosen based on their looks and charm rather than talent ]
Muses whose actions are not described below will follow along as extras in the scene. Those who did not get center positions will not get solo screentime in the commercial as they are not the focus. If there are more people described in the scene than there are muses listed the spots will be filled by NPCs. Actors required to play the game will receive a phone from the staff with the demo version of it to practice and to be used on the scenes. The phones cannot make calls, send messages or access the internet, and the actors should always be in sight of a staff member as ways to avoid leaking. Once the shooting is over, they’ll have to return it.
In order to receive +3 CHARISMA POINTS and +1WK ACTING ACHIEVEMENT, write a four post thread with a fellow actor from your group or a 250+ words solo about your muse’s actions during the shoot. Please tag all your posts with #rksskt and have them up by midnight EST at the end of Wednesday, March 20th. You do not need to be a trainee to collect the achievement. You are free to tally up this achievement on your blog even if your muse didn’t sign a contract tonight - however, keep in mind that once your muse gets signed, you will have to add this to their base form as an achievement previously won through SuperStar KTWorld filming.
For trainees only, please submit your achievement to the rkpointsverification blog with the following format. There is no need to verify your charisma points.

Draw Well, Be Well
My Daughter’s Reminders
My daughter Jenny grew up falling down, with a fractured tibia here and a black eye there. Injuries stemming from a central nervous system disorder with a hard to pronounce name: Incontinentia Pigmenti. After 32 years, the words still freeze on my tongue.
I.P. is not a one-size-fits-all genetic disorder in the ways it affects the lives of the baby girls who are born with it. For Jenny, a woman with a girlish face and a small body, this rare neurocutaneous condition deprives her of many things: the balance to stand, walk, or enjoy the kind of grapho-motor control that enables her mother and brother, both formally trained artists, to draw with precision.
Precision can be very appealing in the right hands. But my daughter doesn’t draw for appeal, or approval. She draws to be well; to feel well; and for her, thank goodness, the very act of picture-making has for decades now afforded her a pleasurable way of breaking past the gravity of her immense motor and cognitive challenges. The story of Jenny’s love of picture-making and the goodness she’s drawn from pictures are perhaps best illustrated in the images she paraded through my old appointment book in a furious sprint over a cold winter’s night when she was 16. As they remind me, indeed I cannot forget them, she was quite ill in body and mind following a mind-shattering fall after becoming severely sleep deprived at a special summer camp. Had the staff been trained to detect and act on the signs of her obvious sleep deprivation, she might have been spared the half year she lost while living in the painful limbo in her shattered consciousness, where unrecoverable sleep falls. She might have avoided her hallucinations, and the dreadful fear of being swallowed back into the jaws of the seizure monsters that ripped entire pages from her school calendar while she was a little girl.
I refer to these images as my daughter’s reminders, in part because she made them in an old datebook of mine, drawing freely over pages containing handwritten reminders of my appointments and tasks to be completed. But even more so because her images like the fast-falling peanut shell and winged red horse she drew there remind me of the importance picture-making has played in our lives. They remind me how reliably Jenny Lily Gordon, now 32, has piloted herself through dark times on the tip of a pen. How she’s drawn genies back into fallen bottles. And created a hearth of warm friction when her off-kilter body ran a little too cold - as it often does when her neurological temperatures flowed in different directions. Warm on her left, frosty along her right. But “just right” — like a fairy tale porridge — when her busy left hand is working with her eyes to make a new picture.
From the moment she was able to pick up and hold onto a crayon at the age of three, which was not easy for her, drawing has given my daughter a trustworthy way to communicate when words failed her. You see, Jenny’s thoughts get stuck in the upper shelves of her fragile brain’s speech and language freezer. She finds it easier to produce certain kinds of ideas using ink and lead pigments which fly effortlessly from her drawing instruments without a lot of words weighing them down.
Making pictures offers her a profound well-spring of wellness because the activity also provides a fount of liberating physical release. For although she can’t ice-skate or play soccer, she can take great speed on the point of a No. 2 pencil. And the rhythmic sound the lead tip makes against a sheet of paper is music to her ears. “The paper is a mountain I can climb, where you and me can go up to anywhere, we can fly away,” she once told me as we drew beneath a star-studded August sky . To Jenny, the earth’s gravity can be supremely limiting while her paper universe is boundless.
Since her earliest years, our curly-headed, cognitively- and visually-impaired daughter, has been drawn to our home’s bright, white shelves. They’re packed with paper, old calendars, new and used sketchbooks, fat patches of fabric and pens and inkwells of tangy colors: raspberry, lemon, blueberry, carrot, eggplant and chocolate. She continues to reach for these colorful supplies to flavor her way over the bitter aftertaste of some pretty potent medicines.
These particular reminders of Jenny’s scratch deeply into my memories --and my wife’s -- of many of her hardest times. Times when she lost her appetite completely. Times when she couldn’t grip a spoon or hold a cup of milk; night times when repeated falls from her consciousness — sparked by uncontrollable seizures — ripped entire pages out of her school calendar. These are the kinds of drawn reminders I kept hidden in a desk drawer for years even though I cherished them as visual celebrations of Jenny’s remarkable tenacity and strong desire not to be counted out.
When the tornado side effects of her powerful anti-convulsants began to lighten, she immediately reached for her friction sticks to draw her way back to a steadier state of mind. Her pens and pencils were like a conductors’ baton with which to find the music to lift up and re-organize her disordered mind. The pictures were dance partners to her songs. Pictures went hand and hand with singing. They were dance partners that came together over many hours, across many days, until a new destination appeared. These pictures trigger my gratitude for the ancient red line of drawing - the pulsating, sanguine line which runs like the Hudson River through all of human time. Drawing has also given me a way to express gratitude everyday for a piece of chalk, for a circle, or those beautiful, swift lines that drive comic books.
But I have a special gratitude for these images she paraded across the grey pinstriped pages of my old 2007 appointment calendar. They remind me how drawing alongside her for over three decades has again and again restored our hope of finding some joy in the next five, ten or fifteen minutes. The hope that drawing provides is coming in very handy right now as we live through this vaccine-less pandemic.
It is often said that a picture is worth a thousand words, but to me these pictures are worth a thousand pictures each. An entire year can be glanced in a solitary image: like that long stretch of time when Jenny’s leg was broken in a completely preventable fall. Thank goodness her hands weren’t hurt. She could still wield magic markers, whose bright, magical colors and pungent scents helped lessen her pain.
“My leg hurts, but the itching is worse,” she told me as we drew cats’ faces over the dense, white cast that stretched from her foot all the way up her thigh. She had injured her right leg during a fall from a rowing machine in a health club. The “trainer” had not remembered to fasten the seat belt, but left Jenny’s right foot tightly fastened to the binding in machine’s pedal; when she slid unattended from the seat and struck the floor, her bound leg twisted radically, resulting in what her orthopedist reassured us was “just a skier’s fracture.” But “just” to Jenny is not really any old just. The fracture healed fine, but the surrounding anatomy never quite restored.
I’m reminded how at night her swollen limb throbbed with blue pain - and that the little balance she had before, enabling her to stand up and pivot with our support, was gone. So we carried her.
One night as we drew more icons over the rock-hard plaster, she paused to say, “Joseph, did you know I am drawing-able? I am very, very able to draw. I can draw all day. I’m never afraid. I have zero paper fright.”
“So you have no ‘stage fright’ when you draw?,” I clarified.
“Zero!” she shot back. “It never hurts to draw, it’s never scary so don’t be scared, dad, ok?”
Ever since, I have tried to take her word for it. Not fearing how a picture might be seen or judged by others is a freedom few of us carry over from childhood.
“Jenny doesn’t draw for anyone’s sake but her own, does she?” an artist friend John asked me as they sat together at a tall window overlooking a row of massive trees outside our Bronx apartment.
She had been drawing at that sill for several hours, filling the pages of an old composition book that once belonged to her brother. Old sketchbooks, spiral notebooks or other semi-used booklets of paper held a special allure because they contained the appealing marks of people whose drawings she loved.
“What are you drawing?” John asked. “The birds, the squirrels?”
The animals were busy that afternoon, flying between branches which dropped red and yellow leafs
“I’m just drawing a picture, John,” she replied. “You want to make one?”
“I once just drew lots of pictures, too, Jenny. On the farm where we all grew up. I drew between my chores and homework.”
“You weren’t scared right?”
“Not a bit,” he replied, as he grabbed a pencil.
Picture-making’s reliability in shifting one’s vantage point is helpful when you’re perpetually sitting on the edge of your next fall. For eleven years she was besieged by seizures while transitioning into and out of sleep. I am reminded of those nights by her image of the hovering “seizure monster” who, she said, was like “crocodiles biting through her pillows.” They flew off with her voice. “I couldn’t speak when they came.” Examining her picture several years later, she told me “I’m glad that bitch is gone.”
Many of our hardest falls are lurking just around the corner, yet we don’t see them even as we’re heading towards them. Like that tree branch snaking beneath the cement sidewalk, opening up a crack that swallows the wheel of your wheelchair, sending you crashing. A collision with asphalt can mark up your porcelain face with alarming exclamation points. These shout out your extreme vulnerability to your neighbors when they see you in the lobby of the 14-story, red-brick high-rise you call home.
“The colors hurt a lot more than my face does” she once confided, referring to the attention that comes with every bloom of these dreaded color palettes. The hues of purple, crimson, curry yellow, and cloudy grey can take weeks to fade. These are times to stay clear of windows and mirrors, because the reflections really do hurt. Whenever she got slammed she reflexively turned to picture-making, selecting and blending soothing colors and picturing a reassuring and perhaps more stable landscape.
All of this is to remind me how I am deeply grateful for these particular pictures made in her fierce sprint to recover herself from the calamitous fall she took when she was 16. These are the book of pictures I hid away for years. I just couldn’t bare to look at them. They were too potent, too illustrative of that most shattering fall that I should have seen coming. I felt guilty for having placed my paternal trust in that Godforsaken sleep away camp; a sailing camp stationed in a former nunnery in picturesque Newport, Rhode Island. It was there that she fell unnoticed through her REM cycle into the depths of the most severe sleep deprivation. A clueless trio of camp nurses were simply too untrained to see what had happened to her, even though she was unable to speak, sit, eat or recognize her own parents. “Oh, she’ll be just fine,” the smiling nurse told us, having no idea that Jenny’s severe sleep loss had disorganized her brain so profoundly that she took a year to fully recover. She lingered in that place where unrecoverable sleep falls, alone and lonely, a lost soul in a song-less, picture-less limbo. She dwelled in that nowhere space from late August through late December.
It was a hellish period during which time I soon came tumbling down my own mental hill, like Jack following Jill. Which is why these images remain such vivid reminders of that night in late December as Jenny’s recovery began to take shape in this remarkable parade of pictures, which sprouted fruits, and birds, and rivers, and strange bits of self-portraiture, like that disembodied head rolling down August.
They are still dancing in my old datebook with the red ribbon place mark. Her quickly drawn bright plumes of birds feathers and her fast-falling orange peanut shell all poured forth one winter’s night and morning four months after her August fall. They flowed swiftly when just a few hours before she could barely lift a pencil. After so many painful days of passivity, depression, and sleep disturbed nights, they took form through her tired fingers onto the grey pinstriped pages of my old Lettes of London appointment book. And as she drew I knew as only a parent can know that our daughter was surely on her way back to her steadier self again.
I saw the sparkle return to her wan, brown eyes; and the red rouge come back to her pale cheeks. Should I ever forget what drawing can do for a human being I will look at these pictures once again.
When she first reached for the place-mark of that old appointment book, I was annoyed with her lingering illness and with myself for having held onto all these dozens of outdated appointment books - paper objects that had left me bound to the past, and clinging hopelessly to the idea that if I could just plan my days carefully enough that I might not be so fearful of the future. I had gritted my teeth as I began tossing the red- and black-covered journals into the trash. But when the red ribbon danced from the Lettes’ binding it lit Jenny up like a fuse. “Please give it to me, I want to draw in it,” she said as I handed the book over and helped her gather up her markers.
She quickly began charting her way across the meridian of reminders cluttered with notes of my old appointments. Several hours later, she was still going strong, but I insisted that she stop and try to get some sleep. As sound sleep cycle was still eluding us. She nonetheless awoke early the next morning to continue drawing.
“Look at all of these wonderful pictures you made. You draw so well,” I said as she moved her friction sticks swiftly over the pin-striped pages like a wind-filled sailboat cutting across Naragansett Bay.
“Well, dad, you know,” she replied, “Draw well, be well.” She lifted her head to survey the colors of her many pens that lay before her, picked out several reds and oranges, and drew on fearlessly for hours.

RWBY Or Bumbleby/Bumblebee/Bumblb Crossovers I’d love to read.
We’ve all seen some amazing cross overs that people have written but there are still some I’ve never seen either been done or am not aware they exist. If these crossovers do exist (Fan fic wise and still continuing or complete) contact me cause I would love to read. These will mostly consist of Bumbleby/Bumblebee ideas mostly cause out of all of them that’s the main ship that interests me the most. --------------------------- One I’d really like to read would be an Avatar/RWBY crossover (Bumbleby centered.) And by Avatar I am speaking of the one with the blue aliens. Not that I wouldn’t want to see a cross over of LoK or ATLA either. Just picture it Yang going on a secret mission on a planet only full of faunus. and Yang is sent to there planet as an undercover operative. Wanting to “learn” more about them but was hired by Roman Torchwick to find the source of a rare form of dust only found on this planet. (I was gonna say Salem but she has no use for it.) While getting lost from her group she is introduced to Blake, the next leader of the tribe who takes an interest in Yang despite what her tribe believes in. Kali (Yes cause in the movie Nateyri’s *Not sure if that’s the right now* mother gets her to train the man so we’ll do the same) to be Yang’s teacher. As the weeks form Yang grows use and even grows feelings for Blake she comes to an odds where she’ll have to choose a side. Humans or the faunus. --------------------------------------- Life is Strange/RWBY crossover (Bumbleby Centered) (Note: In this Blake originated in Patch instead of Menagerie) For this the story would probably more centered around Blake who ends up going back to her home town of Patch hoping to go into a school that majors in writing with a teacher she had been dying to be taught by. However this is also a chance for her to make amends with all friends. During a trip to the bathroom she over hears Cardin and a voice that is strangely familiar but she ends up catching a shoot in progress and is able to stop it with a power she never knew she had. She soon finds out that this person was her childhood friend Yang Xiao Long and she is not the same girl she knew as a child. (So in this Blake is pretty much a time freezing badass and in this Yang will not die well I hope who ever decides to write it anyway.) (You can also use Coco/Velvet as well if it suits you.) --------------------------------------- Aladdin/RWBY crossover (Arkos Centered) Young Jaune Arc is a lovable street rat who barely gets by with stealing scraps he can find while out doing one of his jobs he ends up coming across a beautiful woman by the name of Pyrrha unaware after saving her he soon finds out she is Princess Pyrrha Nikos. While down on his luck he ends up befriending a man who tricks him into getting a lamp. Jaune’s luck backfires and he’s introduced to a genie (You can either choose Nora, Ruby, Yang or even Ozpin.) Turning himself into a prince to try and sweet Princess Pyrrha off her feet all while trying to avoid Roman Torchwick and his little sidekick Neo. ----------------------------------- She’s the man/RWBY crossover (WhiteRose Centered Side pairing includes Bumbleby and Arkos) This will be slightly different of course. Ruby accidentally signs up for a sports academy to play soccer, problem, no Ruby loves soccer, problem is it’s an all boys team. So with the help of Nora and her sister, she is transformed into a man (With a lot of help.) During her time in the school she makes friends with a local boy by the name of Jaune Arc. He is surprisingly good despite his insecurities. However after a bump in with miss Schnee her and Jaune become best friends as he tries to convince her to help make Weiss Schnee fall in love with him. Ruby had no problem helping out her friends, there we’re only two problems. 1. Weiss kinda despised Jaune. 2. Ruby strangely finds herself falling for the Ice Queen. ------------------------ Alpha & Omega/RWBY crossover ( Arkos centered with a side of Renora.) A young omega by the name of Jaune is a lovable goofy omega who likes to make jokes and relax with his fellow omegas. He also happens to have a crush on a young alpha by the name of Pyrrha. Pyrrha is an experienced Alpha, top of the rank and has a little omega sister by the name of Nora. Hyperactive and always speaking her mind but she finds herself at an odds when she has to become mates to a rival pack to another alpha by the name of Lie Ren. She bites her tongue and agrees if only for the sake of her pack. Jaune tries to cheer her up while meeting with her and in turn gets them both captured and transferred to a new location to “repopulate.” now Jaune and Pyrrha must find a way back home before a war starts out between the rival clans. While this is happening Nora offers to take Pyrrha’s place and spend time with Alpha Ren to buy time and get to know this interesting alpha.

8 of the best family restaurants and cafes in Cairns and Port Douglas
The highlight reel from your family trip to the tropical end of Queensland may resemble a Disney box-office hit as you find Nemo on the Great Barrier Reef and swing through ancient rainforests like mini-Tarzans.
But you’ll need a separate foodie wish list (or your own genie in a lamp) to keep the family fuelled in between all the fun – and this list of family-friendly restaurants and cafes in Cairns and Port Douglas will be your best bet.
Muddy’s Cafe, Cairns
In between all the splashing at Cairns’ free lagoon, grab your famished mermaids and mermen and dry off at Muddy’s Cafe (right next door to the baby water play area and fenced playground).
You won’t need to whip out King Triton’s staff to encourage the kids to finish their meals with choices like crispy chicken slider, cheeseburger slider, and dagwood dog and chips. Keep up the tropical vibes with a strawberry, watermelon, rockmelon and pineapple juice or a mango, berry, sorbet and pineapple juice smoothie.
Open: 7 days from 7am till 8pm. Where: 174 Esplanade, Cairns. Hot tip: While you’re at it, make a splash at these other swimming spots.
Wharf One, Cairns
You’ll get a lot more than the bare necessities for you and your jungle cubs at Wharf One.
Mornings are best started with Wharf One’s dirty monkey: a banana smoothie with a sneaky shot of coffee. The little people’s brekkie menu offers up boiled eggs and soldiers, poached eggs and baked beans on toast, organic banana and Nutella toastie or French toast with banana and natural honey.
Before heading back to the jungle, try a fancy babyccino with chocolate powder, sprinkles, marshmallow and a cookie.
Open: 7 days from 7am till 5pm. Where: Wharf Street, Cairns. Hot tip: Once you’ve had your fill, head to the Fig Tree playground less than a one-minute walk away.
Prawn Star, Cairns
Unlike the Lost Boys, there’s no need to imagine your food when you board the Prawn Star! Take in the salty air as you chow down on the freshest prawns, mud crabs, cooked bugs, oysters and sashimi in the comfort of a floating restaurant at the Cairns Marina.
If your Lost Boys (and girls) are still developing their sea legs, avoid the plank and make your order a takeaway. You’ll find loads of tables and grassed areas nearby to set up a picnic (and possibly a food fight).
Open: 7 days from 11am till 9pm. Where: Marlin Marina, E Finger, Berth 31, Pier Point Road, Cairns. Hot tip: Mums and dads can order a bargain $5 beer or wine to wash the seafood down.
Ellis Bar and Grill, Ellis Beach
The menu items at Ellis Beach Bar and Grill don’t need an ‘EAT ME’ stamp on them. Big Alices can start the day with the brekkie bowl with cauliflower rice, BBQ mushroom, kale, kimchi, poached egg, chilli jam and guacamole; while little Alices can order mini pancakes or ham and cheese toastie.
Lunch and dinner highlights include a crab and calamari burger or smoked BBQ beef brisket. Kids will be left with a cheeky Cheshire cat-sized grin after gulping down calamari rings, battered fish, chicken nuggets or cheeseburger with salad and chips on the side.
Even if you’re late for a very important date, make sure you leave enough time to wander through the palm trees along Ellis Beach. Alice would recommend it.
Open: 7 days from 8am till 8pm. Where: Lot 13 Captain Cook Highway, Ellis Beach. Hot tip: They flip free pancakes for kids each Saturday from 8am till 11:30am.
Paradise Palms, Kewarra Beach
Even the grumpy old Mr Fredrickson from Up would be happy (okay, maybe not happy, but he might avoid his usual frown) if his balloon travelling house made it to Paradise Palms rather than Paradise Falls.
Either go for crispy pizzas all ’round – they come in kids’ size too – or order classics like burgers, seafood basket, chicken parmigiana or pepper steak; then pavlova with passionfruit if you want your dessert to be inspired by your surroundings.
Eager Wilderness Explorers can wander around the play village complete with super-slippery slide and climbing frame, play on the mini soccer field, or discuss recent badge wins in the Queenslander-style cubby. There’s even a fenced mini-adventure playground for under fives right near the restaurant terrace.
Open: Monday to Thursday 7am till 5pm, Friday to Sunday 7am till 9pm. Where: Paradise Palms Drive, Kewarra Beach. Hot tip: They also offer gluten-free bases for their pizzas if you need to cater to sensitive tums.
The Beach Shack, Kewarra Beach
The heart of Te Fiti might be in Kewarra Beach, so there shouldn’t be any need to leave this island (we mean, beach) for a long time, especially when the crew at The Beach Shack stock their menus with delights for the whole family.
Wednesday’s menu is rammed with tapas and slurpy oysters, so get ready to say, “I’m going to love you in my belly!”
And just like Maui, the shapeshifting demigod, your little voyagers can get up to mischief in the sand while you sip cocktails and take in the beach vibes.
Open: Wednesday 5pm till 8:30pm, Friday 5pm till 9:30pm and Sunday 3pm till 8:30pm. Where: 80 Kewarra Street, Kewarra Beach Resort and Spa, Kewarra Beach. Hot tip: The Beach Shack is open from May to December. Like the rest of us, they don’t like their food soggy, so the Beach Shack is closed during the wet season from January until April.
2Fish, Port Douglas
Forget a spoonful of sugar and grab a bucket of tasty prawns at 2Fish, the practically perfect seafood restaurant. Their menu is spot on with underwater delights like bug tails, crab dumplings and salmon chowder. Fishy kids’ taste buds will be high fiving over the grilled or battered fish or calamari served with chips and salad.
Before their grub arrives, the kids can test their crafty skills and draw on the paper tablecloth or get amongst the activity bag fun (note: no need to raid your Mary Poppins’ sized bag for dinner distractions this time!).
Open: 7 days, lunch from midday and dinner from 5:30pm. Where: Shop 11, Coconut Grove Complex, 56 Macrossan St, Port Douglas. Hot tip: Mary’s spoonful of sugar serving suggestion may not be enough. Sweet-toothed friends may drool over their dessert menu, too.
Port Douglas Surf Club, Port Douglas
The chefs at the Port Douglas Surf Club may have had a little advice from our French furry friend and extraordinary chef, Remy. They’ve kept some old faithfuls on the menu, but they’ve also mixed it up with coral trout tacos, taro chips and salsa, steamed pork buns and tempura prawn sushi.
Book a table on the big open deck and take in the Four Mile Beach views. Ahhhhh. The kids won’t need any encouragement to finish their meals as there’s an epic enclosed playground right next door to the restaurant.
Open: 7 days from midday till 8:30pm. Where: Corner of Mowbray and the Esplanade, Port Douglas. Hot tip: Walk off your meals along Four Mile Beach and grab some family holiday snaps along the palm tree-lined strip.
Want more ideas for kid-friendly food and babyccino options? Here’s a few to keep up your sleeve:
Waffle On, 64A Shields Street, Cairns | Pretty sure they’ll smell even better than Shrek’s mate Donkey’s waffles.
Gelocchio, 9/93 The Esplanade, Cairns | Just like Mr Geppetto remembers it.
Jaffle Head, 39 Lake Street, Cairns | The waft of melted cheese and precisely cooked toasty goodness would be enough to wake Sleeping Beauty herself.
Rusty’s Market, 57-89 Grafton Street, Cairns | Better known for their fresh fruit and veg and good value market cafe, Aladdin and Abu wouldn’t need to employ their 5-finger discount ways at Rusty’s.
Brewhaha Espresso Bar, 141 Barnard Drive, Mount Sheridan | The perfect spot for some hard-working dwarfs to caffeinate before a long day of work.
Apex Milk Bar, 24 Hoare Street, Manunda | One bite and you’ll be taken back to Radiator Springs where burgers and shakes are served with Flo-level smile and sass.
Mondo’s on the Waterfront, 34 The Esplanade, Cairns | You’ll be able to let it go with Mondo’s good vibes and marina locale.
Palm Cove Surf Club, 135 Williams Esplanade, Palm Cove | Eat your chips before the seagulls from Nemo start swooping and squawking, “Mine! Mine! Mine!”
Before you cut loose in the tropics, ask the locals for their tips. Adventure Mumma is all over the best things to do with kids in Cairns.
And just in case you need more inspiration, here’s a round-up of the 20 best things to do with kids in Tropical North Queensland.
No holding back now. Where’s your go-to family restaurant or cafe in or around Cairns?
