Genesis: It's Pride Month, Gregory. You know what that means!
Gregory: Huh what.
Gregory: Do you want us to make like. A gay video game. What.

ETERNAL LABYRINTH: AN INTRODUCTION
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is, officially, the 7 year anniversary of when I made Eternal Labyrinth. Yippee! So, to celebrate, here's a hopefully coherent introduction to the shit that's taken over my life for. seven goddamn years holy shit.
Eternal Labyrinth is the overarching name for my main 3 paracosms: Phantasmagoria, Mad as a Crow, Fractured Fables. They are all connected thanks to Multiverse Bullshit! The 3 also have AUs  that are semi-canon, in which they have crossovers and the characters interact with each other. The AUs are:  the Mad Rabbit AU (MaaC/FF), the Tamagotchi AU (Phantasmagoria/FF), and Constellations (Phantasmagoria/MaaC).
Tumblr media
A quick rundown of what each paracosm is about:
Phantasmagoria: VRVerse || Major oddcore/weirdcore/dreamcore vibes, literally almost anything can happen. Behaves like a video game most of the time, I suppose.
Mad as a Crow: Superhero Universe || A terrible DC/Marvel crossover that’s trying to have one coherent storyline with consistent characters.
Fractured Fables: FairytaleVerse || Fanfiction I don't feel guilty for writing because all of the source material is in the public domain. Quite literally my city now.
Tumblr media
You can find me talking about each paracosm on these blogs:
For Phantasmagoria only content, go to @acircusfullofdemons.
For Mad as a Crow only content, go to @madasacrow.
For Fractured Fables only content, go to @fractured-fables.
Tumblr media
Each paracosm exists inside each other, if that makes sense?? It’s kind of like the Nickelodeon Sitcom Universe. They are both real events and also taking place on a reality show at the same time.
Phantasmagoria is a video game, Polybius, that can be played at JoyHall Arcade.
Mad as a Crow is a comic book series/company, Mad Crow Comics (similar to DC or Marvel).
Fractured Fables is a tv show, Toybox Tutors, aimed towards children.
When doing crossovers, the general vibe is “oh hey, this is like that [media] I like, just slightly to the left”. The only exception is for things like the APOCALYPSE AU, where the ‘cosm they’re from doesn’t really matter as they’re all put in a Situation.

WORLDS & DIMENSIONS
HUBS
The (Dimensional) Hub — All dimensions are tied together due to “The Hub”, aka Earth I. The Hub is an endless void that often takes the form of an empty arcade or mall. Each dimension also has its own unique door and key.
Player Hub — A mini version of the Dimensional Hub, except now it’s suited for a singular person. Everyone that has played Polybius has one.
DIMENSIONS
Holius — Space, primary home to Aliens.
Heaven — Primary home to Angles, mirror of the Netherworld.
Earth I — The original earth. Used to be full of animals before Vitalis added humans.
Earth II — Thisverse/our earth, no magic or supernatural creatures. Mirror of Arcadia.
Earth III — The apocalypse, technical ‘sequel’ to Earth II.
Earth IV — Magic exists, but only in specific locations. Supernatural beings also exist in secret.
Arcadia — Supernatural beings are the majority. Mirror of Earth II.
StoryBrooke — Where various fairytale & classic lit characters live.
Avalon — Fae realm.
Cyberspace — Dimension made by Genesi H. Voltrian. Only Computer Errors can enter.
Mirje — Dimension made by Myriam Travers/Bloody Mary. Only Spirits can enter.
Netherworld — Primary home to Demons. Mirror of Heaven.
Afterlife — Specifically the Arcadian afterlife. Primary home to Spirits.
The VoiD — A pocket dimension that people can clip into on accident, basically the Backrooms. Often used for storing unwanted stuff/trash.
Tumblr media
SPECIES
Aliens —Extraterrestrial/celestial beings.
Aquaentians — Aquatic supernatural creatures.
Computer Errors — Sentient Errors that spawn within Cyberspace. They can only be created if an existing CE kills you AND takes your Soul into Cyberspace — the process won't work otherwise. Because of this, some may see them as a subtype of Spirit, though as they're still relatively new classification is still being debated. Their appearance is very upsetting, often giving people headaches, and they make circuit-like markings under their eyes / neck / shoulders.
Dragons — A now extinct species.
Gods — So, this one brings up the concept of religion in Arcadia as the Gods are a part of their own pantheon and such, but that's not really related to this topic. They are omnipotent & omniscient in their specific domain (ie; the god of nature knows everything about nature, but very little about space). Gods can be either born or given their powers from another God.
Onerioi — Personified dreams & nightmares.
Puria— Angels, Demons, & Faed.
Humans
Avians — Humans with wings.
Cambions — Hybrid between Human & Demon.
Dhampir — Hybrid between Human & Vampire.
Elementalists — Humans that can control an element.
Empaths — Humans that can control an emotion.
Halflings — Humans that can turn into animals, basically werewolves / werecats / shapeshifters.
Regular / Purebloods — Humans with 0 magical ability or Zaryis DNA.
Seers — Humans that can see Spirits.
Witches — An old term used to refer to a Human that uses magic. By now this is the standard / expectation.
Reapers — Zaryis that takes Souls to the Afterlife.
Grim Reapers — Reapers that take anyone.
Ritions — Reapers that take those who died of famine.
Valkin — Reapers that take those who died in battle.
Pestis — Reapers that take those who died of sickness.
Spirits
Ghosts
Poltergeists

LORE
I’m gonna…try and keep this brief, but y’know. I’ve had this for about 7ish years so it’s kind of a Mess.
ORIGINS — Everything on Earth I was fine and chill until Vitalis (God of Life) introduced Humans. After some conflict between the Humans and Sentient Animals that previously lived there, a pair of twins get separated from one another. Theia (Goddess of Death) and Vitalis take in a twin each: Theia with Shadow, and Vitalis with Lumi. Ketrill (King of Shadows/Darkness) & Eloise (Queen of Light) are also made by the Gods, in order to protect the twins. Ketrill cares for Shadow, while Eloise cares for Lumi. Each twin is cared for by their patron until they almost die. Shadow is revived and Lumi is made immortal. The twins manage to reunite, and all is well until Vitalis grows jealous of their friendship, because he and Theia can’t really be together. So, he sets out to kill the twins. With Emory’s (The Librarian/God of Knowledge) help, Theia, the twins, Ketrill, and Eloise manage to escape Earth I. Unfortunately, they all get separated.
CROSSFIRE — Shadow, now named Nox, winds up on Earth II. His memories have gotten wiped, forgetting about his supernatural origins, and lives a normal life until Emory finally finds him, where he’s then taken to Earth IV while Emory searches for the rest of their little family. While there, Nox meets Jake, an Angel shoved into a Human body as an experiment of sorts. The two team up to unravel the mess of supernatural shit going on.
FAUX PIXIES — Lumi, now Lucien, and Eloise, wind up in Neverland together with their memories intact. They live as Fairies in Pixie Hollow, with Lucien longing for her twin, wondering if he even made it out alive. Despite her oncoming depression, Lucien befriends Captain Hook, and helps him ward off Peter Pan from time to time. After helping Wendy attempt to get her brothers back, Lucien discovers that Fifi (Goddess of Time) has trapped StoryBrooke in a time loop thanks to a deal she made with Blake Grimm. Unfortunately, Lucien doesn't have the power to stop her. So the loop keeps going and she's kinda scared her & Eloise will get stuck in it and lose their memories.
REUNION — Thankfully, the two wind up reuniting with Emory after arriving in StoryBrooke. He takes them back to Earth IV, where Nox is. While Emory was away, Nox had managed to get most of their memories of Earth I back. He also reunited with Ketrill! After Emory gets Theia from Arcadia, the gang's all back together and helps Nox piece a few more things together. Of course, there’s still the problem of Vitalis, who’s been mainly focused on Nox but now that they’re all together? Yeah he’s not gonna be happy.
THE FIGHT — The twins get the idea to take the fight to Vitalis. Theia tries to advise against them, but basically everyone agrees that he needs to be stopped sooner than later. The only problem is, how do you kill Life himself? The answer: with Death herself! Though Nox and Lucien did most of the fighting against Vitalis — with Ketrill & Eloise’s help — Theia is the one to land the final blow. Her and Vitalis exchange some words, he basically apologizes and explains he just wanted to be with her, but clearly he did it all wrong. Theia extracts his soul/essence and becomes the Goddess of both life and Death. Earth I, and the rest of the multiverse, can finally know peace. Kind of.
CURRENT — Upon Vitalis' death, Nox and Lucien are granted godhood, with Nox becoming Entropy — god of chaos — and Lucien becoming Harmony — goddess of order. As Harmony, Lucien now has the power to order Fifi to stop the time loop in StoryBrooke, which she finally does. Still concerned over StoryBrooke, Harmony asks her family to help keep everything, well, harmonious. Without the time loops, then the Fables will have children and more Tales will take place. Given that she used to be Tinkerbell, this is a valid concern for her. Emory, too, as he was Cheshire. Not wanting his role anymore, he gives it to Entropy, who is ecstatic to be one of their favorite literary characters. Harmony, meanwhile, decides to settle into Neverland, so she can keep an eye on Peter Pan and help any other Lost Kids who wind up there.
tldr: life & death get a divorce and have a custody battle so bad it becomes the entire multiverse's problem
And that’s it! I guess. I know that doesn’t seem like much, but y’know. Side-stories and multiple other paras that don’t have anything to do with the actual plot … well, this is all technically going on in the background of all my other paracosms. so. really, THIS has nothing to do with the plot lmao.

I can & will steal lore from my favorite video game series <3
TW: murder, specifically child murder
1957 - Genesis H. Voltrian is born.
1973 - Gregory Hart is born.
1977
Genesis founded ElectroGear Software, which focuses on kitchen appliances. He quickly moves into electronics / video games, starting his first establishment: Electric Enterprises.
In addition to arcade machines, the restaurant also had an animatronic band [referred to as the OG Trio]: Sorrow the Skunk (guitarist), Stormi Spider (drummer), Alpha Wolf (singer); with two suits employees can use: Pluto & Angie Mage [PM & AM], who were cats.
Genesis murders his niece / sister-in-law, Tiffany Sparks, behind the arcade. To hide her body, he stuffs her into an unused arcade machine called ‘Polybius’. Tiffany goes on to possess Polybius, thus creating the urban legend surrounding it.
1983
Electric Enterprises is on the verge of getting shut down after multiple complaints from parents about the machines causing seizures, migraines, and addictive tendencies their children had after playing it.
Genesis & Phoebe have 3 kids: Micha Voltrian (M9), Chris Voltrian (M6), Echo Voltrian (F2). They all live very close to SH.
Chris has always been scared of the animatronics, he feels uneasy whenever he sees them & cries every time he’s close to one. Micha & his friends [Will Mongtomery, Maria Torres, Benji Woods] decide to pull a small ‘prank’ on his birthday: drag him close to the animatronics & lift him up so he can say ‘hi’.
Because it’s his birthday, the restaurant is closed & only a small number of people are there: Genesis, Phoebe, Echo, Chris’ friends, Micha’s friends, and a couple of employees.
To try and stop the ‘prank’, Tiffany goes on to possess Alpha. Unfortunately, her Soul is far too confused, not having enough time to adjust to its new body. Alpha proceeds to kill Chris. Horrified, Tiffany leaves Alpha’s body, allowing Chris to possess her instead. Tiffany goes back to Polybius, then into Stormi when the place gets officially shut down.
1987
Wanting to rebrand, Genesis opens a new establishment, a restaurant this time, called “SafeHaven” [SH]. Despite it’s innocent-sounding name, the place actually has an ‘edgier’ style; the rebrand also included catering more towards older children (previously, their primary focus was 2 - 10 year olds. Now, however, they’re focusing more on the (pre)teen [12 - 16] demographic).
The OG Trio [Sorrow, Stormi, Alpha] are put into storage inside SH, their old parts being used to repair the new animatronics.
This one had an actual ‘theme’ to it: woodland animals / nature. The animatronics were called “Woodland Creatures” and based on cryptids: Jack the Jackalope (guitarist), Bernie Bigfoot (singer), Lunar Moth (drummer). The new animatronics also have updated security, being able to facially recognize civilians & criminals.
Chris, angered by his death, starts tormenting the night guards until Tiffany convinces him to stop. Chris moves into Bernie & convinces the other two that all the adults are criminals, and therefore they must be attacked. So they are. Jack bashes someone’s head in with his guitar and Lunar strangles someone to death.
While all this is happening, Genesis puts on the PM Suit & lures a child to the back to be murdered, where Tiffany sees & prevents him from doing so.
SafeHaven gets shut down.
1988
Micha (14) & his friends [Will Mongtomery, Maria Torres, Benji Woods] check out SafeHaven. Genesis is also there, having overheard their plans from Micha.
Genesis [in PM Suit] murders Will, Maria, Benji & stuffs them into the animatronics (Will - Bernie, Maria - Lunar, Benji - Jack). Chris [in Alpha] & Tiffany [in Stormi] try to stop him / help the kids, but they’re only able to save Micha, who goes missing afterwards.
Genesis is arrested & charged with murder, but nothing could be proven (if Micha was there Genesis would’ve been arrested, which might be why he ran away) so he was let go. Genesis & Phoebe get divorced, with Phoebe taking custody of Echo (7), their only remaining child.
Genesis meets Wesley Hart, a single mother to Gregory Hart (M15). Wesley knows vaguely about what happened: she knows that Genesis was involved in the arcade / restaurant business & it didn’t go so well. They become close, with Genesis becoming a mentor to Gregory.
The two start working on JoyHall Game Center.
1994
JoyHall Game Center opens. It’s another arcade, this time without the animatronics. The OG Trio & Woodland Creatures are put into storage. The Spirits possessing the animatronics [Chris, Tiffany, Will, Maria, Benji] move into the arcade machines and later, Cyberspace, where they currently reside.
Phoebe, hearing about Wesley, goes to warn her about Genesis. She takes Echo (13) with her, hoping for it to be a quick trip.
While Phoebe is looking for Genesis and/or Wesley, she lets Echo play the arcade games. Echo wanders out of her mother’s sight & finds Polybius, which the Spirits / Computer Errors now use to spy on JoyHall. Upon seeing his sister, Chris has some sort of mental break & accidentally electrocutes her. Her Soul is then taken into Cyberspace by Tiffany.
Micha (20), who’d been living in foster care under a different name, hears about his sister’s death & gets back in touch with his parents. He meets Wesley, and with the help of Phoebe, tells her the tragedy the family has gone through. Horrified, Wesley distances herself from Genesis & tries to get Gregory (21) to do the same, but he thinks that it’s all just coincidence.
Micha decides that his father is acting...well, he’s not exactly sure how to describe it, but he definitely suspects Genesis knows more than he’s letting on. So, he breaks into JoyHall during the night to perform his own investigation.
Unfortunately, Genesis anticipates this, and instead of having a normal conversation with Micha, Genesis confronts him at JoyHall. Well, more like knock him out & kidnap him, but whatever.
Genesis takes Micha below JoyHall, to the basement where he starts experimenting on him.
& that's sort of where the timeline ends rn, but there is more for Gregory dw 😉

I can't decide if Genesis murders his niece of sister-in-law [Tiffany]. It would change absolutely nothing other than murdering his wife's [Phoebe] sister or niece. And, it's not like Phoebe would find out he's the killer, anyway -- to everyone else Tiffany just went missing or, more "likely", quietly moved away since she's a young 20 year old wanting to have her own life. It's also, like, 1977, so police work isn't even that good yet.
The way she died would still be the same: Genesis lures Tiffany to the back & strangles her with wires. I guess as his niece I imagine her to be 17, and as a 17yo I find that sadder than dying at 24 or whatever.
I imagine Vyris [CE!Tiffany] as sort of ageless, and I guess Errors in general have more of a say on what age they look since they're digital (normal Spirits either stay the age they died or appear younger - they can't age past their death because they've never been that age, if that makes sense?).

images that give you psychic damage unless you're me (part infinity)
it's. it's all the dimensions & sub-dimensions in Phantasmagoria! Including some other paracosms due to crossovers that I guess are canon. explaining literally all these dimensions + how they connect to each other would be absolute hell for everyone involved, so just take the important bits/fun facts:
Arcadia & Earth II/III have the same Afterlife.
Arcadia & Earth II are "twins/mirrors" of each other, as are Heaven & the Netherworld.
Earth VI (I accidentally put IV, it's supposed to be Earth 6!!!) only connects to the Netherworld & Heaven ("Overworld" to them).
Cyberspace & Mirje were both created dimensions. Genesis H. Voltrian made CS, while Myriam Travers/Bloody Mary made Mirje.
Mad as a Crow only connects/crosses over to StoryBook City.
MaaC's Highschool AU only connects/crosses over with the Villainverse AU.
The Player Hub is a smaller version of the Dimensional Hub. The difference is that the PH is for one person only, used to store their extra-dimensional stuff and intended to be a place for Players to prepare for or cool down from an adventure.
The Dimensional Hub & StoryBook City function fairly similarly, except DH is a desolate void with dimensions presenting themselves as different doors & people can actaully live in SBC.
Avalon is the Fairy Realm, and can only access SBC, Arcadia, & Earth II.
Earth II & Earth III are the same Earth, III is just what it's like after The Rapture.
While all the dimensions have varying connections to one another, they all should, theoretically, be able to access the DH through their own/original dimension (exceptions being Maac & Earth IV, due to them being fandom-based).
Most dimensions only have one type of species/a "main" species. Netherworld has demons & faed, Heaven has angles, Hollius has aliens, Afterlife has Spirits/Emrits/Guardians, Avalon has the fae, Cyberspace has computer errors, Earth II/III has pureblood humans, and Arcadia is a giant mix of all.
The VoiD is a pocket dimension that people sometimes clip into on accident. It’s also used to store unwanted stuff. Oddly enough, there's also an entity called VoiD, who claims to be Elliott Hart (goddess of space) & Toby Reynolds (apprentice of time)'s child. No, idk why either.
