General Mobile GM 9 Pro launched, gets 90 points on DXOMARK

General Mobile GM 9 Pro has been launched by the Turkish brand. Immediately after its debut, the device scored an impressive 90 points on DXOMark, making it one of the best phones for photography. Furthermore, it's powered by a Snapdragon 660 chipset and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Design

The GM 9 Pro sports a an attractive metal frame design and a glass back that reflects light beautifully. At the top left corner, we can see the dual rear camera in a horizontal position, while the fingerprint scanner takes centre stage. It will be available in Silver, Gold and Space Gray colors. The phone measures 7.9mm in thickness and weighs 175g overall.

Display

The phone is built around a 6.01-inch AMOLED 18:9 full view display. The screen boasts of 1080 x 2160 pixels in resolution along with a 403 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. The screen also got up to 78% screen-to-body ratio as well.

Software and Hardware

The new smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 660 chipset from Qualcomm runs the show, coming with 8-cores of processor which clocks at 2.2GHz for a smooth ride. The Adreno 512 graphics card handles graphics. For storing files, the device packs 64GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 256GB with a memory card. It has 4GB RAM space as well for multitasking through apps.

Camera

It's equipped with a dual 12MP + 8MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and autofocus for photography and accompanied with other internal features listed in the table below. While for selfies, it sports a 8MP selfie shooter.

Battery

Powering it up is a 3800mAh battery capacity with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn't take up to 2 hours.
