what is “GENDER ALEXITHYMIA” ?

It is a gender experience impacted by alexithymia, a neuropsychological phenomenon also known as “emotional blindness”.

> “Alexithymia refers to a difficulty in identifying, processing, and expressing one’s own emotions with appropriate language as well as differentiating those feelings from bodily sensations.”

Personal explanation below cut.

Internally, I am a blank slate. For every emotion or feeling I experience, I identify them via physical sensations. There is no specific physical sensation to know your gender.

But sometimes, for me, there are physical sensations I can relate to gender or that feel like one. For example, I know I am transmasc because my body feels uneasy when I am called a girl, even if I don’t have the “feeling of being a boy”. Or more abstractly, warmth in my hands may make me feel womanly.

So this blog is specifically dedicated to my strange relationship with gender sensations.

Overall I pretty much identify as unlabelled. But if I tried to explain it in labels, I’d say baseline gendervoid with situational pangenderflux on top ?

However, I will not accept requests for cis/straight albums (“____ by ____ is cisgender”) (This includes polyamorous by itself. I am happy to do polyamorous with a queer identity included.)

If an artist is uses a specific label and your request negates that label (ie lesbian artist -> bisexual request or transfem artist -> transmasc request) I will not be posting your request.
