Aftercare is something that Gemma and Noah find really important. Noah always makes sure to ask Gemma if she’s okay after they have sex, especially if there was a little bit of rough play involved. They also like to take showers together and often end up holding each other close in bed once they’re done cleaning each other up.

Gemma and Noah have never recorded themselves having sex since they kind of view it as an intimate and private affair. D — DATE : what is your muse's ideal date? where/ who with/ etc?

gemma's favourite dates are ones where she can talk freely with her date to get to know them better. lunches and dinners at the finest restaurants are always her go-to date idea since they allow her to sit down and really get to know her date. if time is an issue, she is happy to sit down over a cup of coffee as well. gemma also really loves museum dates, but only if her date also has an interest in art. she loves going to art galleries with noah because she feels like they can really bond over their shared interest.

Q — QUESTION : would your muse ask the big question or expect their partner to?

even though gemma really likes to paint herself as an independent woman who makes her own decisions, she really wants noah to propose to her. for once, she kind of just wants to be romanced in her life, especially since she thinks she's missed out on a lot because of her attitude towards dating before. gemma never really thought that she'd ever want to settle down with someone but that all changed when she met noah. he kind of changed her view on relationships and she couldn't imagine being with anyone else but him.

gemma did not have a childhood sweetheart because apparently she was 'too busy' to date. she was basically an overachiever when she was in high school. she was on the debate team, the student council, and eventually became the school captain during her senior year. dating was the last thing on gemma's mind during her high school years.

I've been thinking about Gemma's avoidant behaviour regarding romantic relationships and why it's generally a mess-

Deep down she has a very push and pull perspective on relationships. On one hand she's very codependent; all her life she's been babied and given lots of attention from her family. She's so used to always being around people who love her unconditionally - she loves attention and being adored. Since her career requires her to travel she likes to keep established situationships and fwbs in her back pocket (in different cities) so she feels secure. In situationships she does fall for them half the time, but that's quickly met with her making excuses or pushing them away. The other half of the time she seeks out emotionally unavailable people or just complete douchebags to make it easier

Now her hesitation to establish those situationships into exclusive relationships - on the surface she likes to blame her career. She knows it's not something she can easily sustain. On a deeper level? There's some low level trauma attached to that and it's connected to her mother's death. (could write a whole dissertation on how their mother's death messed them up individually but that's something else entirely) While her older sister was trying to pick up the pieces and her older brother was going through his own depressive period, Gemma was the only one who really focused on how broken their dad was after losing the love of his life. Of course she was grieving her mother as well, but when thinking about love she always hones into that moment and the idea of deep attachment followed by loss really makes her hesitate pursuing anything.

And on a lesser level... she did have a serious relationship once. Senior year of high school, a private school power couple with a gorgeous star athlete who broke her heart. That made her very much "got my heart broken once and never recovered" meme lol

Despite everything she does want a genuine ~ true love ~ lowkey and it would be nice to write her in a relationship, working through her complicated psyche.

"thirteen?" gemma repeated the number, questioning if she heard that right. a small chuckle followed at the idea of trying all the different dumplings. "damn that's a lot," she commented. though she didn't decline the plan either. a moment of consideration passed before she gave into temptation. "fuck it, let's do it. i'll probably be sick of dumplings for at least a month after this but a mission to find the best ones in the city is too important to pass up," gemma grinned. whether or not she would regret this later was yet to be seen. but that was a future problem anyway.
