they arents just “everyone says im weird because im smart and wear glasses 🥺”

THEYRE ACTUALLY WEIRD! They have parasocial relationships with anime characters and people in their school! they’re loud and geeky! they arent awkward because they stutter, they are awkward because they say things like “i think im in love with you” and “we thought you were waifu material”

and yet they can still make friends!! they still manage to gain confidence and talk to the popular kids!! starkid managed to show that everyone can get along no matter who they are!!!!

8. Haunted by the Kiss (ok so I love the choreography and the song is good its just.... not my fave? I dont rlly vibe w/ it so its last. but Joe and Julia r hilarious and the Geeky Con 2015 solo performance killed me I cant. also the story behind the solo at Geeky is even better so basically Julia was supposed to go to Geeky w/ them and bring the storm trooper helmet but she couldn't last minute but they had already planned the set so they just went with it and Joe KIILED IT its amazing)

7. Strike Back (so once again good song great dancing Denise and Chris you queens I love u so much the dance and slo mo is so funny but I dont vibe w/ it? I vibe w/ it more than Haunted but not enough so here we are)

6. Long Ago and Far Away (I know this is a fan fave and is often number 1 but.... I dont like it that much.... so..... like its good and Chris is hilarious pantomiming is top notch its so good I cant. Chris has amazing comedic timing he so good we stan a king. hes also the only reason this song isn't last... so)

5. One in a Million (originally this was 4 but I dont like it as much as the others so ya. its an amazing song and we stan a good pod race and YAY ERIC Eric is great we love Eric kahn gale and brolden and Meredith as the person w/ two heads is comedic gold we love)

4. Ani (ok amazing opening number the choreography kills once again and a smile so hard seeing it performed at Geeky Con 2015 and Elsie Fest 2015 I cant its amazing. its so catchy and when you hear you immediately know what song it is its so good and Chris KILLS ME I cant hes amazing)

With My Own Eyes (omg I love this song amazing act 1 closer we stan and OMG SO META I CANT JJ is the funniest thing ever commenting every time the choreography switched. also when Moses walked on stage and started dancing as boba fett I lost it its so good the choreography KILLS also CLARK YOU KING)

Back on Top (so I love this song we stan motivation so amazing love the finale song king amazing we stan also YAY DENISE DANCE AGAIN and nick as the major domo its amazing the costumes for this slap so hard like nick and Matt killed holy shit its such a good song and so catchy and memorable we love I love omg love)

Q1: Fave Starkid production

This is hard but I think it's AVPM. A lot of that is down to nostalgia but I also personally think it’s their funniest show (which I don’t think is an unreasonable opinion, I did howl for 3 full hours when I first saw it) and I'm a simple creature who just wants to laugh. Twisted and TGWDLM are obviously close second, but Firebringer is my favourite soundtrack.

I don't know I don't really have one. I'm not at all judging people that do, but I've never personally been very good at liking celebrities or real people who I don't know in my life. I think they're all very talented and have opinions on their skills but I don't really have 'favourites' as it were

Starship. Not because it's my favourite show or anything I just think it would work really well as an animated movie and more so than others has a lot of potential that would seriously benefit from the opportunity to make some changes. I think the style of comedy from most of the other shows wouldn’t necessarily translate well to the screen

Q15: AVPM or AVPS?

Unpopular opinion I know, but its AVPM

While I do believe that the first 45 minutes of AVPS are among the greatest of any Starkid show, imo the plot of act 2 is too messy and convoluted for it to rank above the first. I think if they'd cut either Umbridge or Peter Pettigrew and just had the remaining one and Lucius as the only two villains it would have been a lot more streamlined. Also quirrelmort is just so beautiful

But I do absolutely love AVPS tho so no shade

Q18: Why do you love starkid?

I think their style is just so unique and entertaining. Even in my less favourite shows I'm never bored while watching (and rewatching) them, they’re all just so enjoyable and effortlessly watchable. While there are definitely similarities and inspirations to and from other works, I don't think theres anything that puts it together in quite the way starkid does.

I also just think it's so impressive that they're an entirely grass roots, crowd funded company who are providing high quality theatre for free. They really are so unique in how they operate and help theatre reach a wider audience and I think that's why people get sooo unreasonably into starkid because it really is such a wholesome idea to get behind and we really feel invested in their success as a community.

Q19: Do you call them starkid or dikrats?

I honestly call them dikrats in my personal life and files but I tend to call them starkid when interacting with other people because it's alas no longer 2012

Q20: Dumbledore or rumbleroar?

I'd like to see Rumbleroar sing 'welcome' for 40 whole seconds

Q21: What do you think of LWL?

There are clearly ways in which it's not perfect but given how young they were when they made it it's shockingly good. Its definitely something that when you start watching you can't stop which is not true of a lot of very high budget web series I've seen recently. They also do a good job of adding laugh out loud comedy moments to a not-primarily-comedic live-action show which is actually incredibly difficult to do (although I mainly think this is because they got bored halfway through making it so started goofing around)

Q22: Brian Holden. Care to comment?

He's probably one of my favourite comedy actors in starkid, I think lupin, superman, flopsy and junior are just so effortlessly funny and I think he was a big part of a lot of the early starkid 'jokes that shouldn't be funny but are definitely hilarious'

Q23: Funniest AVPM character?

Malfoy although every single one of them is extremely hilarious, I don't think I've ever seen a better designed set of comedy characters

I don't even a little bit know where to begin with this one. "Okay is wonderful" maybe?

The most humiliating thing about getting back into starkid was realising how many of my 'ashleyisms' were just starkid quotes. "Hot dog not hamburger" "I thought I was your best friend" "he's got bear hands" and so many more that I cant remember off the top of my head are just sentences that I say which I didn't realise I had fully plagiarised from starkid. Maybe I am the Lego batman movie

So for James I have to say Damien from mean girls. It’s not only the fact that he’s gay but that he has the most amazing voice ever and he would kill all the dances and everything.

I think Tiffany would be great as heather McNamara from heathers! She’s super cute and adorable and I think she’ll do all the songs amazing.

I have to say jon as Jared kleinman from dear Evan Hansen, Jon’s just super geeky and I want to say he can show that sad ish side of Jared.

Britney I think will be great as Angelica from Hamilton, she has an amazing voice and I want to see her do all Hamilton songs. All of it.

I think Kim can be a great Carrie from Carrie. She also has an amazing voice and I just love her and want her to do this.

Just a heads up this is my opinion and it’s based on my idea of the characters and how well I think they fit the starkids and their previous characters. ❤️❤️

today we're thinking about how joey was so offended nobody sang his part in granger danger at geekycon and looked so happy when the audience started singing his part and then stubbornly sang his part when the rest of the starkids were singing lauren's part and it jumped entirely off track and confused everyone when meredith pointed at joey but he kept doing it, and nothing else.

this is going to be a series of little things my friends that i love/make me love them more (part 1):

-rachel did a pressure point thingy for me when i was having period cramps and idk if i worked but she cared enough to do it for me

-rachel also called me by my discord nickname when i was depressed on a call w her and a few other friends which made me laugh

-dina gets really excited when she sees a baby in public and talks about how cute they are (the same thing happens when rachel sees dogs in public)

-alan texts me good morning and good night every day

-dina has the sweetest voice

-dina holds onto you when shes scared and its cute (i.e. during thunderstorms or when shes watching a scary movie)

-meng lets me bother him and drag him outside even tho he doesnt have to go out

-meng likes to use filters on discord call and i love all of them

-andy is passionate about skin care

-andy could make a joke out of anything and laughs at everything

-andy acts judgemental but even so you dont feel like youre being judged and you know he loves u either way

-steph sends me tiktoks occasionally

-steph, dina, alan, cristine, and rachel give me hugs when im sad and never complain

- you can hear rachel or dina humming and singing to themselves sometimes

-rachel makes graphics/photo collages of her friends when its their bday or it’s a holiday with some relation to friendship or gratitude

- steph gives me her clothes when she doesnt want them anymore

- cristine lets me come over to just fuck around even though she doesnt need to

- whenever i go to cristine’s place we, most of the time, end up singing together or some ofther chaotic shit

-cristine makes cute drawings

- cristine and rachel are alaays there for you if you need it and theyre never judgemental about anything you have to say

-dina doesnt know how to comfort you when youre sad but will try her best and tell u she loves you

- (im pretty sure) one time when i was depressed on the bus ride home with my friends they decided to go karaoke a few days later and invited me to make me feel better (this was way before rona)

-i got depressed halfway home with my friends (alan, rachel, dina, meng) and they all tried their best to make me feel happier and tried to get me to open up to them

-rachel gets really excited when someone mentions kdramas, nct, twice, bts, kpop, or makeup (the same thing is true for dina with Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Pattinson)

-rachel and i can silently walk with each other and it doesnt feel awkward at all

-rachel also gets excited when i buy her boba or her favorite candy

-andy likes to buy baguettes now and im all for it

-steph likes to make video edits of the “vlogs” we take when we hang out

-andy and steph like to recite tiktoks and memes everytime we hang out

- rachel likes dark academia and good literature, specifically quotes or posts about life/beauty

-alan always sends me animal videos and memes everyday

-seth is passionate as hell when it comes to starkid

-seth can also make you laugh and has funny voices

-ruby is a bit nerdy/geeky even though she doesnt show it

-ruby tells me love you every time we see each other even though we havent hung out in some time

-cristine freaks out and gets excited when she sees her “babies” (characters in TV shows that she loves)

-dina has the fashion of a popular girl but the personality of someone who, if youre close to, will be kind to you but insult you at the same time (in a friendly way not actually insult you)
