Tim doesn't think the new kid knows how. . . . sad he looks.

His long hair is limp and he's always brushing it over his eyes like it's a nervous tic. On the rare occasion they're visible, the blue color is entirely too watery and dark circles too pronounced to ignore. They're guaranteed to make you feel like you're watching a SPCA commercial complete with the "in the arms of an angel" soundtrack. It's even more unfair when Steph says the new kid gives him a run for his money.

"I don't look like that."

Steph scoffs, "Yes, you do. Just more unhinged than pathetic wet cat."

Tim decides either the new kid needs to get better or he needs to give up coffee and one of those things is not happening.

i.e. Danny is on the run from his parents and the GIW after his friends and sister were caught in the crossfire. After being on the run for a couple years, he decides it's safe enough to stop in Gotham to finish his schooling (under a fake name). He didn't count on being forcefully absorbed into a new friend group (something he very much tries to resist). It doesn't help that Gotham's rancid ectoplasm makes his temper flare when they get too pushy.

Wrote a scene for PPAU in which Megatron convinces the DJD to accept a peace treaty with the Autobots (that doesn't constitute rebuilding and then stabbing them in the back). And when I was outlining/brainstorming I was like, "okay Megatron is probably going to have to make an example of some DJD member who lashes out and refuses to accept it. There's gonna be a little fucked up cult violence in here"

Except no, that smooth son of a bitch gave the DJD a speech that so effortlessly tied them up in his new peacetime plans that the most opposition he got was a muttered comment by one single member. My man used the brainwashing of nationalism and patriotism to counteract the cult brainwashing. He made a rhetorical appeal so sound that any member of the DJD who tried to argue against the peace treaty would sound like they were opposed to reclaiming Cybertron, their homeland, and ensuring the well-being of their own loyal soldiers. I was like "MEGATRON THERE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MORE CONFLICT IN THIS SCENE YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO CHOKE-LIFT A BITCH OR AT LEAST RIP OFF TARN'S MASK AS A DRAMATIC GESTURE OR SOMETHING" and the Megatron in my brain went "hahaha no" and charmed the DJD so thoroughly that there wasn't even a single raised voice. Charismatic son of a bitch

Yet another skk parallel that I just realized while the BEAST brainrot was going strong:

in the original world, Dazai's the one locked up in prison, and in BEAST, it's Chuuya.

Dazai gets broken out of Meursault with Chuuya's assistance, and, UH, Beast!Chuuya's fate is less certain, but the ghost of Beast!Dazai's past reappearing? (/copium /j)

Jokes aside, since we also know Mori orchestrated Chuuya going to Meursault in the first place, he might've orchestrated something to break Beast!Chuuya out, quite possibly with Beast!Atsushi's assistance this time. I'd like to think with how passionately and with remorse Beast!Mori spoke of Beast!Dazai, he'd feel forever indebted for not being able to do more to help/save him and would not want Beast!Chuuya+the Port Mafia to descend into chaos.

But also, like, with Stormbringer perspective, the fact Beast!Chuuya's fate is getting locked up in a government facility just makes it hurt that much more. That's the last that we know of his fate, but I don't see him being permanently imprisoned until death, at least not without attempts to break him out. Beast!Atsushi may or may not know much of Dazai's and Chuuya's partnership going back to when they were teens, but I have a sneaking suspicion Beast!Mori eventually divulged their past to him.

instead of gazing at each other like they're the only thing in the world, ed is looking away and stede is looking bereft

stede reaches out to touch ed and he moves away instead of reaching back

I’m sorry critters I have a confession:

I just don’t like Fearne and Ashton together romantically. I don’t like it.

Personally I love wild child aromantic Fearne who beds who she wants, flirts with everything, and is basically a loose canon.

And I think Ashton needs someone whose soft with them. They still need to have a desire for adventure and getting into trouble, but I really think he’d do so well with someone a little more grounding!! Which is just not Fearne, who doesn’t always think of others when she’s making decisions (this isn’t a bad thing, I fucking love this about Fearne)!!!

And don’t think I don’t love their dynamic, their friendship is so cute!!! The stealing game, and even the forehead kiss was adorable and I love to see them together. But I just,,,,,,, don’t like it romantically.
