Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
our beloved ancient cattle!!! they used to be huuuuuuuuge and i love and miss them so much. they Definitely fit the moose+bison+yak+bear mold, and bc a lot of the representations of them vary u have heaps of wiggle room via designs!!!
2 gaur!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
gaur are HUUUUGGEEE theyre the biggest living bovine iirc!! and their ears r very big and round like a bears...
tho unfortunately the gaur arent domesticated, they do have a domesticated cousin called the gayal!!!! but they look a little more 'normal' ig eifjsjsdjf i prefer the gaur

Bovine Country, Abbott Vanderwagen, 2024
Oil-on-canvas painting
Welcome to Bovine Country, a sanctuary where different bovines roam free and chew their cuds! This oil-on-canvas painting has a spectacular grassland and farm scenery. This farmhouse has a bovine skull on the top center and a silo on the left side. This farm, which is secured by a big white barrier, isn't like most of your "average, everyday" farms, this farm has different species of bovines! And we all know that a group of bovines is called a herd, a father is called a bull, a mother is called a cow, and a offspring is called a calf.
Here is a list of bovines that appear on the painting:
Lowland Anoa (Bubalus depressicornis) — Fact: Lowland anoas are impressive swimmers. They have been spotted swimming long distances to offshore islands
Banteng (also known as the Tembadau) (Bos javanicus) — Fact: The banteng shows extensive sexual dimorphism; adult bulls are generally dark brown to black, larger and more sturdily built than adult cows, which are thinner and usually pale brown or chestnut red.
Plains Bison (Bison bison bison) — Fact: The American bison is the largest land mammal in North America.
Western or Lowland Bongo (Tragelaphus eurycerus eurycerus) — Fact: Bongos are the largest forest antelope.
Cape Buffalo (Syncerus caffer caffer) — Fact: The horns of the cape buffalo are an excellent indication of age and gender. The females and young males do not have the hard shielding that protects the base of the skull in large adult males.
Cattle (Bos taurus) — Fact: They eat hay and grass, which are really hard to digest, so they chew them TWICE! The ruminant technique is called “cud chewing”. Example: A cow chews up the grass and swallows it. The food goes into her stomach where it starts to digest... but then, she then coughs it back up and chews it again before swallowing it for the last time.
Common Eland (also known as the Southern Eland or Eland Antelope) (Taurotragus oryx) — Fact: The eland is the largest African bovid, but the slowest antelope. It can only run at 25 miles per hour, but it can jump 10 feet from a standing start.
Gaur (Bos gaurus) — Fact: It is the largest species among the wild cattle and the bovids.
Gayal (also known as the Drung Ox or the Mithun) (Bos frontalis) — Fact: Gayal are not milked or put to work but given supplementary care while grazing in the woods, until they are ritually slaughtered or killed for local consumption.
Greater Kudu (Tragelaphus strepsiceros) — Fact: They are capable of reaching 690 lbs and of having horns as long as 6 feet.
Nilgai (Boselaphus tragocamelus) — Fact: The nilgai is the biggest of the Asian antelopes.
Lowland Nyala (Tragelaphus angasii) — Fact: They follow baboons, who discard the fruit and leaves that the nyala eats.
Saola (also called the Spindlehorn, the Asian Unicorn, or infrequently, the Vu Quang Bovid) (Pseudoryx nghetinhensis) — Fact: Saolas have only been known to science since 1992!
Sitatunga (also known as the Marshbuck) (Tragelaphus spekii) — Fact: Sitatunga are swamp-dwelling antelopes and excellent swimmers. Their elongated, wide-splayed hooves help them walk on soft terrain such as swamps and marshes.
Yak (also known as the Tartary Ox, the Grunting Ox, the Hairy Cattle,  and the Domestic Yak) (Bos grunniens) — Fact: They can withstand frigid temperatures that can reach as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit.
Add this painting to your collection, because it will make you say "Holy Cow!"
Finished on November 13, 2024

It really had only been a matter of time before Angel would beet his untimely end, considering their lifestyle. If anything, it just meant they stayed in the same age range now....

Gaur (Bos gaurus)
This massive animal lives in the forests of India, Myanmar, Thailand, and the surrounding countries. They both graze and browse, and have been known to eat tree bark for the minerals contained within. Females and males greatly differ in size, with females weighing about 1500 pounds (700kg) and males weighing up to 3300 pounds (1500kg)- surpassing even bison in size! The gaur has also been domesticated, giving rise to the smaller gayal, used as livestock in Myanmar, Bangladesh, and parts of India and China.

The island I'm from has one of the smoother, less sharp sound Caribbean accents, between Bajan and Jamaican I'd say, but the flirting is along the lines of "Ayahe gayal jiggle it fe' meh nah, yuh look'n sweet fuh so eh, like a ripe mango see yu'h." (Got that gem from an older man on public transport), and it's so damn creepy when you're not into it at all so that's a no from me captain.

Tour to Egypt
My travel in Egypt has always been so engrossing especially for the women on the journey. To start with, the pyramids of Giza at this destination, the lively bazaars, the Nile river all combine to create a blend of the modern world and the ancient world. Below I am sharing some quick tips that every woman traveler needs to follow during her trip to Egypt.
1. Dress Modestly
It is rather conservative in Egypt, therefore dressing appropriate and clean shaven is both, courteous and wise. Sleeveless tops, looses, skirts, head scarfs and Gayals which reveal both the shoulders and the knees are advisable including when visiting religious places. Scarves are helpful when it comes to covering your head particularly when going into Mosques and most importantly help against the scorching sun.
2. Travel with a group or tour company
For first time visitors, a guide would have a way of making their tour safer and also more convenient. Female-only tours are also available, they are comfortable and friendly, a group will be all women. They also include specially organized guided tours, which are conducted by local guides who can offer interesting information and peculiarities of Egypt, as well as the tips on places that are not typical for tourists.
3. Local Etiquette
Depending on the trip, people are friendly and hospitable, however, it’s polite to respect Egyptian culture. When feeling a local population, bow and be polite in speaking. When you are invited to a home, be sure to take your shoes off immediately you get to the door and always take a token of appreciation.
4. Safety Tips
Although Tanzania is reasonably safe, as you will be moving at night take care not to sit in ill-lit areas or places possibly unaware you are a foreigner.┘
Last, never leave any valuables where they are easily noticeable or anywhere you wouldn’t want others to lay their hands on them. Public and private transports include taxi and ride-hailing services, Although, to increase safety, you should arrange transport from your hotel or tour operator.
5. Must-Visit Sites
The Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, The temples of Luxor and The Valley of the Kings are best known ancient attractions. The Nile cruise is also an incredible experience and sightseeing of Egypt impressive terrains and attractions.
What is more, do not fear the unexpected and approach all upcoming trials as a fun Egyptian adventure – and the country will not let you down and will leave you with the most exciting memories!
