As the Conga Against Homophobia and Transphobia in Havana stepped off, families, neighbors, and coworkers gathered on sidewalks and leaned out of windows to watch and cheer on the marchers. Some brought signs and banners of support. Parents hoisted children on their shoulders to watch. No hate groups were jeering or protesting from the sidelines – only solidarity and joy.

The day’s most popular chant was “Socialismo sí, homofobia/transfobia, no!” – yes to socialism, no to homophobia and transphobia. Other chants celebrated the Families Code and denounced the U.S. blockade that causes grave harm to Cuba’s queer community and all Cuban people.

¿Por qué "LOVE is LOVE" ya no es suficiente? Realidad y necesidades del colectivo LGBTQIAP+ en la actualidad.

Hoy es día del orgullo LGBTQIAP+, aun no estoy seguro de saber cómo iniciar un Blog, pero ¡Oye!, es un buen momento para comenzar. Por supuesto deseaba tocar este tema y no solo por ser un día de celebración, tenemos mucho que celebrar y aunque este blog no está hecho para enumerar esas cosas si lo está para recordar esa razón por la que se recuerda este día. Es un día de conmemoración y lucha y me temo que hasta que cada uno de nosotres tenga todos los derechos seremos un dolor de cabeza para cada homofóbico.

El colectivo ha pasado, así como Taylor Swift, por un montón de Eras en las que lo único que jamás hicimos fue pedir perdón ni pedir permiso, principalmente porque nadie debería pedir ninguna de las dos por ser quien es. Es durante la última "Era" en que las redes y medios sociales se han tomado la oportunidad de mirar a un mercado que no creían remunerable, el llamado "Mercado Rosa".

Aunque no me consideraría a mí mismo un beneficiado de este mercado debo admitir que es mucho más sencillo adquirir un montón de productos que digan "Si, soy Bisexual" a un precio accesible y de manera sencilla gracias a la competencia entre marcas por tener más productos. Pero ¿Hay algo malo con eso?, Bueno, así como estrellas en el cielo habrá un montón de opiniones, y no creo que sea la pregunta correcta.

En el Marco de ENDOSIG, la Encuesta sobre Discriminación por motivos de Orientación Sexual e Identidad de Género 2018 hecha por CONAPRED, indica que el 28.3% de las personas encuestadas fueron discriminadas al no poder entrar a algún Cine, Restaurante o Bar, ¿pero no acaso vemos algunos de estos establecimientos con sus carros en nuestras marchas?, o ¿rodeados de arcoíris en sus cuentas?, Algo definitivamente no concuerda.

Habrá que revisar entonces el montón de denuncias hechas por nuestros hermanos, hermanas y hermanes hechas a diario en Twitter, nos daríamos una idea de que el problema es más grave de lo que se cree. Incluso establecimientos dedicados a ser supuestos espacios seguros para la comunidad, bares y Cafés temáticos como VIDA Café en Guadalajara con sus casos de discriminación, Rico Club en CDMX que fue y es todo un caso, y así esa larga y deprimente lista de casos y fuentes. Que difícil es verlo o vivirlo a diario, Carajo.

Naturalmente esto más que solo ser una queja debería abrir una conversación desde adentro de la comunidad, ¿LOVE is LOVE es suficiente?, Señor Marca, ¿Usted cree que de amor se vive?, Love Is Love fue durante años esa frase que recitábamos como un mantra, un discurso único, el Credo LGBT para palmearnos la espalda y decir "Estamos por la misma lucha", Pero los tiempos cambian y las luchas evolucionan, la respuesta sencilla es No, no es suficiente.

En 2023 la Marca de cerveza BUD LIGHT se asocia una famosa influencer de la comunidad Trans, Mulvaney, hecho que les represento un boicot mediático de parte de detractores del movimiento. Casos como el de Target también en Estados Unidos, Walmart y otras más marcas que lejos de incrementar su aceptación en una comunidad que la verdad le da lo mismo y solo quiere encontrar pollo barato para la cena se ha visto en cambio en medio de comentarios negativos por un montón de personas que creen que Arcoíris es igual todo lo LGBTQIAP+ o que temen por sus vidas cuando alguien dice "Amigue" llamándole imposición a una conversación que no les compete y Mientras estas marcas ven el abrirse a la diversidad como un favor a nuestra comunidad, cosa que no lo es.

Las Necesidades de la comunidad van más allá de Amor Es Amor, van más allá de Playeras con banderas arcoíris y Taylor Swift o Katy Perry sonando en las tiendas de ropa. Las personas VIH+ peleando a diario por un poco abastecido número de medicamentos en nuestro país, México siendo el segundo lugar en América Latina con más mujeres Trans asesinadas, el invisibilizar de las lesbianas aun dentro de la comunidad, o la inacción de los gobiernos por dar seguridad, servicios de salud o vivienda digna las poblaciones históricamente rechazadas, esos si son problemas y si bien una marca no lo resolverá, la decisión correcta siempre será estar de lado correcto de la historia.

No es suficiente hablar de la hipocresía de estas marcas al subirse a nuestro movimiento con sus productos, también se debe indicar los casos de PinkWashing o LavadoRosa, acciones que mediante estas tácticas de marketing intentan lavar su imagen, pero sin cambiar nada dentro o fuera de sus establecimientos. Con playera de del día de la mujer o Pantalones de unicornios no se borrarán los actos de discriminación cada vez que alguien fuera de la norma entra a un Liverpool.

Mas preguntas vienen a la conversación ¿Es el mercado rosa lo mismo que la representación?, pue no, no lo es, ¿El mercado Rosa es malo?, solo si tu playera de algodón de Britney Spears comprada en C&A aún necesita dos lavadas más para quitarle las manchas de lubricante y seguir gastando agua. Lo importante y a lo que quiero llegar, es que el que tu bandera este en un anuncio no debe hacerte creer que ya ganamos una guerra que llega a ser a veces por nuestras vidas.

Con tantos crímenes de odio contra la comunidad, Discursos de odio que atentan contra la dignidad de la comunidad, violencia sistemática en servicios de salud, ECOSIG y violencia interseccional hay tanto por pelear, aunque no, Señor Marca, "LOVE is LOVE" no es suficiente y si a usted no le importa la vida y dignidad de mi comunidad a mi si, así que le pido, hágase para atrás, déjeme hablar y ¡cállese el perro hocico! Por lo que, si su discurso no es como mínimo "Derechos para todas las personas", mejor quédese contaminando la tierra como hasta ahora que eso le sale muy bien, acá los JOvenciTOS estamos trabajando, resistiendo y existiendo por algo más que el "LOVE is LOVE", no me reduzco a eso y no planeo permitir que alguien si rostro me reduzca a eso.

You and Cassandro decided to stop by your parents house just for a visit and to look through childhood things; Cassandro became your best friend a year a go when y’all were wrestling on some old independent wrestling company. You guys still wrestle just not for that Independent company anymore, your parents loved your best friend ever since they met him. They thought he was a genuinely nice person, you both went inside greeting your parents saying hi then they let you go look around since you haven’t seen the house since before you left to become an independent wrestler.

You both went to the attic to look there first. You started with old picture books that your parents kept in a box with other photos that was not put into the books yet. You picked up the first book looking through the pictures stopping when he asked questions about them to know more about the story behind the pictures. You pointed to a picture “this is me and my older sister, in this photo this is when we went to a camp I forgot the name of and I miss her so much” “how come, where is she at?”

“She lives states away and I never get to see her unless it’s on social media or Hollidays, we used to have so much fun I miss her” you smile at the photo turning to the next page in the photo album. You looked through the rest of the photos then you took him downstairs to show him your old room. He loved how excited you were to show him everything and even loved the stories you told him because you missed everything in this room. You let him look around the room telling him stories about everything he saw.

After looking around you stayed there for dinner sitting at the table, you and him thanked your parents for having you over and for the food you guys are about to eat. Your mom looked at you “can you tell us how the both of you became best friends?” You smile as you start to tell the story “we met at in independent show in Colorado we were both scheduled to fight that night and before we left the building I stopped to talk to him because I liked his makeup look so I told him happily” you smile again.

You always loved telling that story because duh that’s how you met your best friend. You all talked while you had dinner and even though your older sister was not here you still had a fun time with your family and your best friend. “Thank you for having us mom and dad but we have to go we have a show scheduled in the morning” “thank you the food was amazing” you said as Cassandro added on the second sentence. You guys headed out after because the next show was in Mississippi and that is a long drive from here.

You guys arrive at the Mississippi arena walking inside together as always then splitting up to go to the locker rooms. You were talking to another friend that you met on the road as you did your makeup to match your ring gear colors. After you got ready you met up with Cass in the catering area like you usually did before every match, he looked over at you “should we eat?” “No, let’s wait until after the show to go get something to eat” “a diner” “you know it, that’s the only thing open late after we get done.”

You sat down by the tv that they kept backstage watching Cass fight Jeff Jerrett; his feud at the time. Later that night you will be wrestling Ayako Hamada; your feud at the time. You watched the control of the match go back and forth from him to Jeff; and so on. Cass lost the match but you could tell he was just happy to be there and wrestle, that’s what you always admired the most about him. “You did so great” you greeted him with a hug when he came backstage which made him smile everytime you did it.

He helped you prepare for your match and just giving you a pep talk to hype you up. The match went at a fast pace; you are a Lucha libre style wrestler and a high flyer which always made your matches a must see and can’t look away. Just like Cassandro’s match you did have your weak points then got back in control like you always did. You won the match which was a surprise to you since Ayako Hamada was always considered a tough person to beat. After your hand was raised you shook her hand to show respect.

After the show you and Cass headed out to get something to eat at the local diner in the city that you wrestled in. You and him sat down in a booth looking at the menus reading them to yourselves. “Cass?” “Yes Y/n?” “Where is the next show that we wrestle at?” “It’s in Missouri” “another almost 8 hour drive ughhh” you groan as he chuckles at you. “At least we have each other Y/n” “I mean you’re right” you answer him as he chuckles again. You guys stayed there eating until you got full then left after you paid.

You guys drive for around 2 hours then stopping when you see a field of grass to take a break, he parks the car in the grass then you both get out ti stretch you legs. You laid in the grass as he sat on the hood of the car, you look at the stars as he asked “you ever wish you could go back in time?” You thought about it before you responded “I mean yeah I’ve thought about it but I would just hang out with my sister again like we used to do before she moved away.”

“How about you?” You ask looking over at him. “Of course I do hun, I would love to go back in time I’m just getting older and older by the day” he chuckled. “You are not getting old, it’s just your imagination” you argued in a joking tone, he looked over at you “it’s been awhile since I first wrestled which is making me old love, but thanks though” you both shared a laugh. You guys stayed there for awhile talking before getting back on the road again because hey, Missouri isn’t getting closer just by you guys sitting there.
