Gunflint Trail flashback While looking for dirt roads to ride in the Superior Forest National Forest I saw this great statement on their website. Foote Trail is the longest trail at Kings Mountain Gateway Trail (4.5 miles one way, 9 miles round trip). The ultimate goal is to have this trail eventually connect to Crowders Mountain State Park, Kings Mountain State Park and Kings Mountain National Military Park! Today marked my first ever visit to Kings Mountain Gateway Trail in Kings Mountain, NC. This trail is actually a network of several different trails totaling over six miles with varying difficulty levels and pavement types.
