This Week’s Horrible-Scopes
It’s time for this week’s Horrible-Scopes! So for those of you that know your Astrological Signs, cool! If not, just pick one, roll a D12, or just make it up as you go along. It really doesn’t matter.
Yet again we’ve been requested a themed Horrible-Scope. So here we go. This week’s ‘Scopes are all based on Characters from Star Wars. Now pull up a seat, add more butter-flavoured oil to your stale popcorn, and get ready for the THX Audio Logo.
Aries
You are the Mos Eisley cantina musician “Figrin D’an” from “The Modal Nodes”.  His Kloo Horn playing was so good he earned the nickname “Fiery” Figrin. This week do your creative part and don’t get between people arguing over stupid things… like who has the most death sentences.
Taurus
This week, Momaw Nadon is your spirit guide. Otherwise known as “Hammerhead”, he knew secrets about agriculture that the Galactic Empire didn’t know about. How there’s a possibility to hide plant-growing information is anyone’s guess, but his species did. This week… start a compost pile.
Gemini
This week you get to sing and dance in a band with your spirit guide, Greeata Jendowanian! She’s a Rodian with orange hair and green skin, working as a singer-dancer in the Max Rebo Band for Jabba the Hut. This week just remember: If the money is good, a gig is a gig is a gig is a gig, right?
Cancer Moon-Child
For you Garindan aka “Long-Snoot” will be guiding your path. He’s a shrewd, professional finder-of-information who can be bought by whomever has the best credit line. This week stay away from Docking Bay 94.
Leo
You won’t believe your luck. For you we have Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin. The only Moff that was able to keep Darth Vader on something resembling a leash while allowing him to flex his Force powers enough to instill fear in his subordinates. This week remember - it doesn’t matter how smart you are or how many battles you’ve won, Hubris will, eventually, come knocking at your door.
Virgo
And for you, we have Moradmin Bast. You likely won’t know who that is until we remind you of his famous line, “We've analyzed their attack, sir, and there is a danger. Should I have your ship standing by?” This week remember that someone else’s hubris could cost you everything. Keep your friends close and your own escape routes closer.
Libra
The first droid on this list, you get K-2SO. The problem with this reprogrammed Imperial Security Droid is… well, his looks. Those long, spindly arms and legs, the squat body and small head give him a very Sirenhead feel to him. This week do NOT pilot a plane through the air; you are NOT a leaf on the wind.
Scorpio
Your character is Romba… not ROOMBA. He was an Ewok who lost his tribe to the Empire when they built the Shield Generator on Endor. He joined a nearby tribe, helped with the fight against the Empire, and gained revenge for his tribe. This week remember, it doesn’t matter how furry you are on the outside, but the size of your will on the inside that counts.
Sagittarius
And finally we get to a Jedi! Follow the teachings of Aayla Secura, a Twi'lek who served as a Jedi General of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. She was a courageous General, fighting alongside her soldiers in multiple combats… only to be shot in the back when Order 66 was given. This week don’t stick your neck out so much.
Capricorn
Let’s take a fun twist and give you Maz Kanata. Maz is a complicated character who’s lived a complicated life. She’s been known as Maz Kanata the Usurper, Kanata the Despoiler, Kanata the Benevolent, and Kanata of the Free Fleet. She’s old, wise, looks like she’s spent way too much time in the sun, but she’s got the coolest glasses. This week find your own Inner Name and the glasses frames that go with it.
Aquarius
The leader of Red Squadron, Garven "Dave" Dreis was a fighter pilot extraordinaire. He knew his way around an X-Wing, fought off TIE Fighters, coached a first-time flier in the middle of active conflict, and it took no less than Darth Vader himself to take him out. This week follow Garven Dreis’ example and get a nickname that doesn’t make any sense at all.
Pisces
You need to get out more. You need to do new things, get in better shape, and stop being such a grump about everything. We expect that by the time you’re done with your workout your muscles will burn, but you’ll have lost a lot of weight. This week follow Owen Lars’ example and complain to the manager when you’re sold defective merchandise of dubious legality.
And THOSE are your Horrible-Scopes for this week! Remember if you liked what you got, we’re obviously not working hard enough at these. BUT! If you want a better or nastier one for your own sign or someone else’s, all you need to do to bribe me is just Let Me Know! These will be posted online at the end of each week via Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook and Discord.

In the future, the last surviving New Republic Admiral, Meglann Florlin and her small Corellian carrier task force have managed to survive for a year after the Hosnian Conflagration. As she prepares to make a choice of what path to take, she remembers those choices that she made in the past—when she was just beginning her path as a protector and a warrior—over four decades in the past.
Choices guided by her loved ones and her mentors, including Ahsoka Tano, Bryne Covenant, Dani Faygan, Nola Vorserrie, and Lassa Rhayme, as well as new mentors such as Antoc Merrick and Garven Dreis of the Virujansi Rarified Air Cavalry.
Choices that brought her into contact with a teenaged marauder named Enfys Nest, who is desperately searching for her mother and hoping that she doesn’t have to become the Chieftain of her band at age fifteen.
Choices that shaped and changed the embryonic Rebellion against the Empire, while helping those loved ones make new discoveries about themselves and the mysteries of the Living and the Cosmic Force.

Garven Dreis was a human pilot from Virujansi. Serving alongside the likes of Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars, Dreis joined the Rebel Alliance in its infancy. His skills as a pilot led him to success, as Dreis became leader of Dantooine Squadron and later Red Squadron, as the Rebellion moved bases. Dreis was strict during combat, but a friendly, approachable man outside of it.

It annoys me greatly that at the Battle of Scarif we know the names of Red Leader (Garven Dreis), Gold Leader (Jon Vander), Blue Leader (General Antoc Merrick) but all we know about Green Leader is that they were the leader of Green Squadron and were standing by.

Hiya. This is part 9. The two of you are facing potential disciplinary actions upon return to your respective bases.
Your heart is still in pieces even as you contemplate marriage to Poe and the possibility of starting a family with him.
Warnings, mainly an angst chapter lol. But still not for anyone under 18.
Tumblr media
By the time you are finished looking through your old family photos you are exhausted and about ready to pass out.
You are both mentally and physically worn out.
Poe picks you up in his arms and carries you into the bedroom, where he helps you get undressed and promptly gets you into bed.
You fall asleep almost instantly as he holds you tightly.
You are both nude and the skin on skin contact feels delightful, Poe has the softest, smoothest skin of any man you've ever seen.
His touch and his kisses all feel like home to you. When you are in his arms the galaxy feels right again.
Even as you enjoy his gentle touch you're terrified. You're worried about what's going to happen when you return to base.
The next morning as you're enjoying breakfast Poe notices that you are being quiet. No jokes, no wise cracks, nothing, just awkward silence.
"What's wrong, babe?" Poe asks as he leans over and kisses you softly.
"I'm thinking about the disciplinary action that I'm facing". You tell him, tears in your eyes. "I don't want to go to prison".
"I doubt that very much". Poe tells you, a sweet smile appearing on his face. "The red leader is a fair guy, he'll understand why you were absent".
"I hate the unknown". You tell him with a slight laugh. "I don't understand why you're not even a little worried".
"Leia and I might fight at times but we have an understanding". Poe explains, still smiling. "She's like a mother to me, as soon as I explain why I took off she'll understand".
"I sure hope so". You reply with a nervous laugh.
Rebellion base, Yavin
Your return to the rebellion base was met with a frosty reception.
But as soon as you fully explained your story Garven Dreis was indeed sympathetic.
You were given a the equivalent of a slap on the wrist, three weeks without pay.
During the meeting though, you couldn't help but feel like you heart wasn't in it anymore.
"I resign, effective today". You blurt out, taking the red leader by surprise. "I need to focus on myself for awhile, I'm sorry".
Your own words take you by surprise. You have let tragedy steal the one thing, besides Poe, that you truly loved.
Later on that day you tell Poe about your resignation, and to your surprise he isn't happy.
"You shouldn't have done that". He admonishes, shaking his head in frustration. "You need the structure and distraction right now".
"I made my choice, and it's final". You reply defiantly.
"And they accuse me of making rash decisions". Poe tells you as he closes his eyes and begins to massage his temples. "I just hope you don't live to regret this".
"I'm not a little girl, I'm capable of thinking for myself". You fire back as you cut him off and end the transmission early.
You have trouble sleeping that night as you toss and turn with Poe's warning bitterly playing over and over in your head.
Was he correct? Did you make the right choice or the mistake of a lifetime?
End of part 9

89. „Cut the Chatter, Red Two“ (Legends of Tomorrow 3.08. „Crisis on Earth X Part 4“)
Tumblr media
Harry says this to Cisco in the episode. It is of course a „Star Wars“ reference. Other than H.R. Harry’s pop culture references are most of the time point on, because Earth-2 is pretty simelar to Earth-1. “Cut the chatter, Red 2,” was originally said by Red Leader Garven Dreis to Wedge Antilles during the Battle of Yavin in „Star Wars: A New Hope“ and has since then be used exthusiastingly in all X-Wing propeteries.

O and R for fandom asks?
O - Choose a song at random, which OTP does it remind you of
Also answered here, but there are so many songs in the world, let’s go again!
Pandora on shuffle yielded Sidekick by Walk the Moon. This one is definitely fun vibes of long-time friend turning into a lover. I think it reminds me of a Luke/Bodhi dynamic I like—they meet, they become good friends, they stumble their way into something more.
(And then, because the main hook of the chorus is "do you wanna be my sidekick, sidekick" I get lovely angsty thoughts about how Luke's Jedi legacy and Bodhi's humble origins collide in uncomfortable ways. Yesss, goood.)
R - A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships
Okay, as I mentioned the last time I answered I’ve had moderate success at luring at least one other person into the ships I’ve actually written. So, *cracks knuckles* let's get creative!
Oh! I know! According to the Rogue One Visual Guide, Antoc Merrick (Showed up in Rogue One, Blue leader, excellent smile, died during Scarif attack) was apparently a pilot growing up along with Garven Dreis (showed up in A New Hope, Red Leader, Died during the Death Star attack). They were both chilling and being pilots when the Empire rolled in and took over their planet and the Empire was like, would you like to be a pilot for us?
And Antoc and Garvin apparently looked at each other and went...you know what sounds good? Early retirement. Yep. Getting old. Gonna retire. Live a nice long life on a ... farm somewhere. Piloting. Younger man’s game.
And then they both went to find the Rebellion and proceed to spend...presumably the next fifteen years or so “very retired.”
And, there’s just something very compelling for me about longtime brothers-in-arms in a nice posh military force falling into a shoestring Rebellion and finding each other in that. History - they know each others tells, and they know each others needs, and they understand the cause.
They also, combined, have like fifteen minutes of screentime in the whole trilogy, so I would be ASTOUNDED to find someone else that ships them. :D

A new addition to the collection today y’all! And LISSEN, this little feller is tough to come by! What you see here is none other than Wedge’s most trusted astromech companion, R2-A3 (although Wedge has had more than one astromech throughout his career.) This badass little redboi comes from the 2016 @hasbro Black Series astromech 3-pack; the other two droids included were R5-K6, Red Leader Garven Dreis’s trusty droid, and R2-F2, the droid belonging to Biggs Darklighter. I’m thrilled to finally have my 2019 Black Series Wedge reunited with his Artoo!! 🔥🔥 https://www.instagram.com/p/CLr0M0UpeTo/?igshid=wwijaez1wl49

so my little sister got me involved in her friends’ Star Wars homebrew tabletop...
and they want me to play Captain Fordo, since I’m voicing him in the upcoming motion comic Panic Over Muunilinst, which is great since it means I’m clearly in good company – but what’s awesome is the GM let me create my own equipment and abilities for everyone’s favourite ARC! since I love playing Fordo so much, I thought I’d share my written work with you all!
to create the list I’ve combined my experience playing tabletop games like D&D with my knowledge of Clone Wars (both the 2003 and 2008 series), Republic Commando (both the game and the books) and my friend Joe Hogan’s motion comics (past and future!) I won’t make anyone uninterested scroll through this, so you can read it below the cut!
ARC Trooper Alpha-77 “Fordo” equipment and abilities
Equipment:
Custom Phase 2 Clone Trooper helmet: this helmet is loaded with life support, communications, and sensory hardware above and beyond that of the average clone soldier. While using it, Fordo has double the sensory and comlink range of standard clones, and can survive in the vacuum of space for 20 minutes, similar to a Republic Commando. “This’ll do just fine, general” – Fordo
Jetpack: a similar design to the one worn by Jango Fett before his death. While wearing it, Fordo can fly across difficult or absent terrain, or ascend and descend to higher and lower areas. The jetpack contains enough fuel for five such uses before running dry. “You go together like Mandalorians and jetpacks” – unknown
Knuckleplate Vibroblades: standard equipment for Republic Commandos, the blades that extend from Fordo’s gauntlets allow him to deal extra melee damage with a sharpened punch. “Ne shab’rud’ni” – a Mandalorian warning against messing with the speaker
Twin custom DC-17s Sidearm blasters: Fordo’s signature firearms, these self-recharging heavy pistols feature double the range, stopping power, and energy cell life of their standard-issue counterparts. “Always double-tap” – Fordo
Clone Trooper’s thermal detonator: worn on the back of most clone utility belts is a high-yield cylindrical grenade that can be programmed on a timer or to be remotely detonated. “Dets away!” – Garven Dreis, Red Leader
Thermal detonators: spherical munitions used by warriors across the galaxy, including clone troopers of the GAR. “Make their eyes water” – Kal Skirata
EMP grenades: also called “droid poppers,” these devices are built to release a small electromagnetic pulse, rather than exploding. “Droid them!” – unknown Republic Commando
Abilities:
Ambidextrous: while armed with a pistol in both hands, Fordo makes one attack with each as a standard attack; if armed with only one pistol, Fordo can make a melee strike with a free hand as one of these attacks
Double-Tap: once per turn while wielding a blaster pistol, carbine, or rifle, Fordo may choose to make two shots instead of one
Agile Fighter: Fordo can disengage from melee combat without being attacked by his opponent, this includes using his jetpack if he is wearing it and it has fuel
Captain’s Orders: while in combat alongside friendly clone characters or NPCs, Fordo can sacrifice his movement on a turn to move a lower-ranked trooper instead – alternatively, he can order the clone to make a standard melee or ranged attack by sacrificing his own attack action
She’s Your Type: Fordo gains advantage on attack rolls while wielding a Z-6 rotary blaster cannon
“Eliminate Target” Fordo can mark a single enemy at a time, he and friendly clone characters and NPCs gain advantage on attack rolls against that target while they can hear him; on any turn or when the target is destroyed, Fordo can move the mark to a different enemy
Inspiring Soldier: Fordo’s allies gain advantage on attack rolls while he is also fighting and can be seen
Hardened Equipment: Fordo’s weapons and armour are immune to the effects of electromagnetic pulses and ion discharges
“Nice Skirt, Machine Washable?” friendly clone characters and NPCs gain advantage on Charisma-based saves while Fordo can be seen
all in all I’m really excited to get to play Fordo again, especially in a tabletop game like this. do you like what I’ve written? let me know!

Pilots of Red Squadron
Red Leader:
Garven “Dave” Dreis
A native of Virujansi, Dreis served in the planet’s Rarified Air Cavalry under the command of future Rebel General Antoc Merrick. When the Empire came, the Air Cavalry was disbanded and its pilots invited to join the Imperial Navy. Dreis refused these summons and defected to the fledgling Rebel Alliance alongside his commander.
Dreis led Red Squadron during the Battle of Scarif, where they sustained heavy losses. On return to Yavin IV, he welcomed new pilots into squadron, including the young farmboy Luke Skywalker.
During the Battle of Yavin, Dreis led the second attack on the Death Star’s thermal exhaust port after Gold Squadron’s initial run was unsuccessful. Despite the death of his wingmates at the hands of Darth Vader, Dreis managed to reach the exhaust port and fire two shots which unfortunately missed. Whilst pulling away, one of his engines blew, leaving him vulnerable to Vader.
Vader shot out another of Dreis’ engines, causing his fighter to lose power and impact on the surface of the Death Star, killing him instantly.
