Queens Park Rangers To Confirm Signing Of International Defender
Queens Park Rangers are set to confirm the signing of right-back Reggie Cannon today, according to West London Sport. The United States international has been without a club since leaving Portuguese club Boavista in the summer following a dispute over unpaid wages, and QPR manager Gareth Southgate is looking to bolster his back line after shipping 12 goals in their opening seven games of the…

hey look! A fresh faced 22 yo Jesse!
he plays guitar?!?! He needs to start a manager band! He as rhythm guitar, Klopp as lead guitarist- who gonna fill in the bass (Fabian?), drum (Pep G?) and vocal (Gareth Ainsworth?)? I imagine the band will play boomer heavy rock and metal. Even trash metal if their club lose.
look at his face! So innocent and pure. He doesn't know (yet) that he'll grow up as a menace/mischief-maker/rascal/criminal in his own country and Yorkshire.
#i dunno why I got Pep as the drummer#he is the master of tempo then will make a jazz fill that confuse everyone just because#Gareth Ainsworth will be a good vocalist and fit in like a glove!#you know. The QPR manager#jesse marsch#dc united#throwbacc

Gareth Ainsworth confirmed as Shrewsbury head coach
Gareth Ainsworth has been confirmed as manager of Shrewsbury Town manager after the sacking of former boss David Hurst. Ainsworth, who managed Wycombe Wanderers from the fourth tier of English football to the Championship, struggled as QPR boss. In that role, the Lancastrians lasted just eight months. Ainsworth’s successor isn’t faring much better, so it’s arguably not fair to judge the former…

Easter Parade
In the aftermath of the big derby win over Blackpool last Saturday North End have sort of teased the fans into thinking that there is just the faintest possibility of a very late play off charge. I think this is rather premature to say the least being five points behind, which is effectively six with goal difference, with only seven games to play. Nevertheless North End go into the Easter fixtures buoyant after putting the old enemy to the sword and with two very winnable games on the horizon. On Good Friday we travel to London to face Gareth Ainsworth`s QPR and on Easter Monday Reading are the visitors to Deepdale. Both teams have been plunged into the relegation fight and while playing teams at the bottom is never easy these two sides are both in poor form and could give North End a late season boost.
Just before we look at the two Easter games a little reflection on last Saturday and a good performance by North End to get the bragging rights back at least until next season and maybe for a whole lot longer. It was a game I thought North End would be up for and so it proved to be with the boys showing what they can do once they got into their stride after scoring the first goal. Blackpool, on the other hand, really looked like a team that were on their way down although all is not lost for the Seasiders who face a massive home game on Good Friday against relegation rivals Cardiff City. The atmosphere on Deepdale was superb and was due in no small part due to the excellent work done by John Kelly and the team at PNE-ONLINE who saw that the flags, banners and balloons were in abundance.
On Good Friday we make the trip to Loftus Road and one of the worst grounds in the league in terms of facilities for away supporters. It really is a dump and the soon QPR find a new home the better for all concerned. On the pitch the O`s are having a torrid time of it under new manager Ainsworth and although they have some decent players on the books they sit just three points above Huddersfield who are third from bottom in the table. One of the issues at Loftus Road seems to be the ego of one or two players and while I wish Gareth the best of luck that wish only comes into play after 5pm on Friday afternoon. It is a game North End can win and with nine wins on the road already this season I am hoping for good things down in West London.
On Easter Monday afternoon Paul Ince brings his Reading side to Deepdale after the Royals have just been deducted six points for financial irregularities. This has also brought Reading into the relegation fight and they, like QPR, sit just three points above the drop zone and could be in big trouble by Monday tea-time. Reading are not in as bad form as QPR but if North End can get a win on Friday I am hoping we can go into this game full of confidence and make it six points out of six over the holiday period which is the only scenario that will do if our season is not to be effectively over before we go to Millwall a week on Saturday.
And finally this week:- two blows for North End this week in the fact that Greg Cunningham and Ched Evans are both out for the rest of the season and possibly for good in terms of Ched. Both players have been absolute stalwarts for North End this season when they have been called upon and I wish Greg and Chad a very speedy recovery and hope to see them both playing again for North End sometime next season.

Wycombe 2 - 0 Oxford Utd
Sam Vokes ended his goal drought as Wycombe secured their first home win of 2023 with a 2-0 victory over Oxford.
