Now I m not sure if this works - I ll give it a try this week and see - but I thought I d share this with you all and you can give it a go too - maybe in an area where you wondered why a certain plant was nt doing well ?.. . . It’s always good to know what’s going on in your soil? . . I think I ve definitely decided to switch to no dig next year where the beds are ... digging that all pretty much seriously sucked !! The rubble - stones - China - glass - nails - screws - and other bits I found in there !! I was surprised there was any soil left after I took out handfuls of rubbish!! . . This is supposed to be a mature garden !! . Yep they just plonked grass on top ( which is full of weeds - moss - clover ) and hoped for the best !! 🤣. . I know I ve improved the soil where the potatoes are - but it will need years of digging up the rubbish and amending the soil. I m thinking with my health being up and down like a roller coaster - no doing is the way to go ! 🙌🙌🤞. . Well it ll be more like a lasagna no dig! October 19 2017 Lue and Bens garden - before and after. They had super clay soil - so I dug up all the plants, dumped four bags of pro-mix, mixed it in, and re-planted what they wanted! So much room now for summer fruit and veggies and plenty more perennials.

Another huge spot cleaned up at Amanda and Chris's today!

Back tomorrow to clean up between the barns, then back for two future visits to clean up an island garden (which is just overgrown trees, with grape vines tangled throughout...) And then the main gardens, which is regular weeding and shaping of bushes.

Such a huge job, and SO fantastic for the portfolio!
