maybe a bit obviously, I was really fascinated by the use of food in jazzpunk (https://gamesandfood.tumblr.com/search/jazzpunk). I really enjoyed playing through it, and thought it was as varied and funny as you can get in a game.

13: A game you were the most excited for when it wasn't released yet?

I don’t know! I don’t usually get worked up over games I haven’t played yet, it’s my pessimism protecting me. That said, Dragon Age 2 or KOTOR 2 mebbe. Sequels where I’m already invested, y’know.

17: What game do you never tell people you play?

OOOH LOOK, A PARADOX. I actually don’t think I have any “guilty pleasures” or whatever, though. I dunno, what am I supposed to be embarrassed by? Everyone talks about playing stuff like Princess Maker now, it’s cool again. I can admit to playing Bejeweled without getting labelled a filthy casual, right? it’s 2016? Or weird porn twine games? who doesn’t play weird porn twine games, amirite? it’s ~outsider art~

23: Biggest disappointment you've had in gaming?

I don’t usually mind when sequels are rubbish, because it doesn’t take away from the original, you can still play that. But I’m sad that Guild Wars 2 removed 90% of what I loved about GW1 (especially the ridiculously complicated but endlessly adaptable and fascinating skills system) because with online multiplayer things, you kinda do lose the game, if the community moves on to the new one. On the plus side: I’m not losing my life to an MMO, so there’s that.
