After hours of thinking, Jaune was debating between Trivia Vanilla, Pyrrha Nikos, and Ruby Rose. Why those three? To be honest, he just chose random since the floating words won’t help him at all. And finally, he had chosen one.

Jaune: Okay, first option have never failed me before so I choose Ruby Rose.

He smiled a bit after it listen to his request as he continue reading Ruby Rose’s information. he know what the number and stat represent, he didn’t being called a gamer master by her family for nothing.

A young rose in his beowolf onesie slam open her bedroom door with a loud noise, scaring Tai Xiao Long as he jumped in his chair.

Ruby: Dad! There’s blue screen floating in the air!

Tai head snap toward his second sweet daughter, Summer’s cookies in hand as he was about to eat it but stop like a deer caught in headlights.

Tai: Huh… Where?

Ruby: Right there! It is saying that I have become the first Gamer! It’s like the RPG game I player this morning!

Tai just stares at the empty air where Ruby was pointing for a moment, then to her sparkling eyes, and back to the cookies in his hold as Yang, in her pajamas, come out of her room while rubbing her tired eyes.

Tai: Just what did Summer put in this cookies?

Xiao's fingers slid across the keyboard as he focused on the bright screen in front of him, the clicks of his mouse and keyboard disrupting the silence in the room. You slowly creeped into the room as he peacefully played a game on his computer, saying a word or two to his teammates. He didn't notice you strolling towards him with his headphones on until you tap his shoulder.

He hummed in response, letting his headphones hang around his neck as he turned to look at you.

"Yes, (Name)?"

You shuffled nervously. Mostly because it was a pretty dumb reason to disturb him. But you obviously didn't really think that through.

Wordlessly, you spread out your arms awkwardly with a slight chuckle. Dumbfounded, he stared at you for a moment before he tilted his head.

"A hug? If you wanted one, just say so." He says nonchalantly, getting up to embrace you lightly.

"Well, I also kind of wanted you to help paint my nails." You say, burying your face in his shoulder.

He hummed, planting a kiss on your temple before he walked back to his desk.

"Go to the living room, I'll be there." He said softly, picking up his headphones to say goodbye to his online friends.

You almost missed the light pink colouring the tips of his ears.

You smiled giddily, hurriedly racing to grab your stuff with your heart beating out of your chest. He had never once kissed your temple before.

You had your headset on, and you fiddled with the mic a bit, nervous about the prank you were about to pull.

You were sitting on your couch, Xiao in the corner of the living room at his gamer desk playing a PC game. You had always been more of a console person, a black controller in your hand since elementary school.

You rarely talking in-game both a mixture of too shy and the fact that you game to relive stress not to elevate it.

You joined a Minecraft server and put down a good bad and had your friend Aether join the world under a fake gamer tag. He was using a voice changer so Xiao didn’t catch on too quick.

It made his voice lower and cool toned, not his regular high pitched bright tone.

“Hey how’s it going? Wanna build with me?” You asked into the mic, tilting your head away from Xiao because a smile was inching its way on your face.

“Cool. Nice to meet you, Kade. What do you like doing more? Collecting materials or stacking the blocks? Cool, me know if you want to switch and I’ll start collecting too.”

This raised your boyfriend brow but other than that he didn’t look over or turn in his seat. You nodded your head to your self.

You planned to ease into this prank. You played for another thirty minutes, laughing at some of the jokes Aether attempted to make.

The third time you burst out laughing Xiao turned his head at you, you noticed his screen light up on a recently killed background.

He mouthed, “Who are you talking to?” He tilted his head, the lamp light making his real eyes sparkle in the otherwise dark room.

You made it like you muted your mic but kept Aether aware that your prank was working. “No one just a rando I met today. He has the best jokes.” You repeated some of the ones he has told to see Xiao’s reaction.

All the jokes were Minecraft related and the only reaction your boyfriend gave was a slight narrow of his eyes and deadpan stare. Clearly not liking the jokes.

“I’m about done with my game. You want me to join?” He asked, his eyes looking at the boxy male character that showered you in building building blocks.

Usually he was your collector and you were the decorator.

“No, it’s fine babe! Play your game.”

“Okay.” He nodded his head slightly and returned back to his PC.

The final nail in the coffin was when your house was complete. “All right looks like all we need are the beds and some chests to fill the space. Let’s go hunt some sheep.”

A few minutes past, “I’m changing the bed color do you want me to do your too? Yeah, I have yellow dye. Okay cool. Here you go let me drop it for you.”

Xiao tilted his chair away from the pc and and eyes you with a piercing glare on his face. He saw you drop the yellow bed and then the rando put it right next to yours and laid down.

You didn’t bat an eye, simply laying down right beside him as your screen dimmed some.

“Babe I think you have had enough Minecraft for tonight.” Xiao said, turning off the Tv and leading you to the room. “Come on, bedtime.”

You giggled a bit as you were led of the bed and snuggled down against Xiao. “Only I get to lay in bed with you.”

You didn’t have to see his face, his pout was prevalent in his voice.

“Is someone jealous? It’s just a game.” You reassured him, smiling into the dark room and his adorable expression.

“Yes, you should only lay beside me in bed, in real life and virtual reality.”

You yawned, “I’ll be sure to remember that. Wouldn’t want my cute boyfriend upset.”

You planned to tell him about Aether’s role in the prank but snuggling up to your warm and soft boyfriend drifted you off to sleep.

He wasn’t pleased to find out about the prank when Lumine spilled the beans while y’all were out getting coffee before college classes.

The Scroll jumped to life despite the obvious wear on the ancient device, and spat out choppy, contorted sentences fragmented together from old recordings

They all stared confused at the animated armor, in disbelief and shock.

Weiss: I'm sorry, what? You're Jaune?

The scroll sputtered back to life as the shield collapsed and expanded

Scroll: Vomit Boy! Short and sweet- Rolling- off- Tongues- Ladies- LOVE- it.

And for another moment they stared - only this time in complete horror.

They bumrushed the rusted platemail, clinging onto it like children to a stuffed toy. They felt a familiar sensation emanating from it, further cementing the Truth - This, whatever it was, was Jaune.

They held the armor as it shuddered, doing it's best to hold tight to them, the dust that held it together weakening in its overwhelming emotions - it'd be fine, it would pull itself together in the end - it always did. It always had to.

There was always someone to protect.

It just had one more duty before its Dust returned to ... dust.

Gamer Xiao Headcanon

This dude is definitely high level in many games.

Xiao probably plays valorant and COD often but at the same time, he plays minecraft.

He's probably the average chinese player that's always good at games.

Valorant;

He defno carries the whole team. sometimes loses at the game but wins often. His game history is full of victory. Mostly plays with Scaramouche and Albedo. Open his mic 24/7

Call Of Duty (COD);

He's probably really good at it, often targeting people who always shoot him. He loves using Fennec. If the map has a place for sniper, he would be sniper. His favourite sniper is SP-X80. Usually plays alone in COD.

Minecraft

Plays Bedwars, Skywars, Luckyblock. Amazing at pvp games, usually online on servers. the type to save you when you're fighting with someone, and of course, he's probably famous in many servers.

There's a place where it is called Xiao Zone, where people build a big castle for Xiao and his fan club. Xiao's reaction? He doesn't like the castle cause he's the fighter type, but his fan club gathers a lot of diamonds and foods just for Xiao and the Castle was the average castle you see made by people in an mod download , many people has tried to bomb down the castle not because they hate Xiao, they just want to kill by Xiao.

One time, there was an event where people built small tents in front of the castle just to adore it.

Not only do they build a castle for Xiao, but they also build one for his friend, Scaramouche. Scaramouche Castle was huge, too. I have an image where Xiao's and Scaramouche's Castle is connecting, and there was like a border, I have a feeling where scaramouche's fan club is more dangerous, so when a Xiao's fan pass the border, Scara's fans starts attacking and push back Xiao's fan.

They might seem dangerous, but they're only playing.

I'm seeing a lot of people posting about how they're glad Genshin has Finally made a 5 star disabled character and are finally representing the disabled community, and whilst yes, they have made another disabled character, it's not the first one, nor the first 5 star! But Baizhu has been long awaited for by many players, including myself!

Huge Reminder that Collei is disabled with chronic illness, and I'm pretty sure Layla has been discussed to have Narcolepsy. Also, many people totally forget Xiao is a disabled 5 star character with chronic pain inflicted by his karmic debt and mental health struggles partly relating to that, and rarely anyone talks about it! I know we are all excited, but, this is another problem.

Less "obvious" (even though if you have got chronic pain, it's the most obvious thing in your life) disabilities get forgotten about, in real life too, hence the ongoing promotion of invisible disabilities or less obvious but just as difficult to deal with ones, needing to be acknowledged.

He is NOT the first 5 star which was made playable!

Xiao was, but for Baizhu, they're more obvious about his health and his power ups that he is in the medical field and has disabilities, also woth the presence of glasses too which is another visible disability

As health a big part of his job and powers too, it's easier to notice, but that's another part of how the people within the community with less obvious physical disabilities get forgotten or missed.

Xiao was the first released disabled character that was 5 stars! A favourite of mine to play since he dropped as he resonates with me gender wise, and with that, I too have serious chronic pain! He has chronic pain induced by his karmic debt, and barely anyone talks about that because it's not been focused on as a part of his character as much as people have with Baizhu.

But yeah, with the drop of Collei as well who also has a chronic illness, and Layla suspected to potentially have narcolepsy and some NPCs in Sumeru having stories being told about their conditions has been great especially as games rarely make main characters that are disabled and as someone who is disabled with mobility aids and chronic pain, it is exciting as this has been my favourite game for 2 years plus now.

So far Xiao has been a saviour for me as well as Genshin as I've played it most days i cannot do absolutely anything and remain bed ridden from my disability and I've wanted Baizhu dropped since he was introduced as well and I'm glad they're making multiple characters with disabilities as it's very real truth MANY gamers have disabilities, and we deserve rep.
