idk i like to think sunday is a firm believer of no sex before (cough forced) marriage. but when the vows are exchanged, the first kiss is celebrated, and the doors are closed… he’s more than ready to take you to poundtown.
he takes you in all the right angles and even in the most humiliating positions, and makes sure every hole of yours is satisfied and fulfilled.
he has an elegant smile that charms even nuns, but behind that seeming innocence and grace is a lustful sinner with a relentless libido he’s been patiently keeping away until now. he adores and coos at your dumb-looking face as you were being fucked dumb by him. what, “no more? ah, he thinks you meant “please more” when your eyes involuntarily rolled back with your tongue lolled out. you look so happy and cute, a stark contrast to your ever so vicious, and wild nature when interacting with him.
he likes you this, so fulfilled without that savagery of yours to ruin it. he feels like he successfully domesticated a wild animal, and the only finishing touch is having your belly round with child… or children ;)
and if you ever complain or say those disgusting, sinful words against him, it’s okay. he’ll wash that filthy mouth of yours, over and over again until it’s only praise about him that’s dripping from your tongue.
tldr; sunday’s always been a freak but has hidden it all his life until he married you.
>_<🪭anon thank you for such a great story!! I love how Sunday changed after marriage. He hides his true nature and controls himself…
cw: yandere, dub-con, overstimulation, penetration, nipple stimulation, gag, spanking, reader has female reproductive system
Sunday believes in chastity before marriage and protecting chastity before eternal commitment. He does not indulge you in your desires. The body is a sacred temple and cannot be defiled.
And this not only means no sex before the wedding, it means you can't masturbate, read erotic novels, comics, watch pornographic movies, none of these are allowed. Before the engagement, Sunday showed appropriate care and closeness. After the engagement, you had just platonic dates, walking together, dining in restaurants, watching movies and playing games. Sunday likes to read some books with you and share opinions. He doesn't mind if you read books other than philosophy, even popular ones, but… there's only one category he doesn't like… He checks your browser and reading apps.
Switching accounts to browse pornographic novels/browsing pornographic websites will not work. You had done this sneakily, and after you were discovered, your hands were on the table, your underwear was on your calves, and the whip in your fiancé's hand was in close contact with your butt. Clearly, you violated his trust and indulged in lewdness.
Depending on your personality, you might scream and curse at him. Or you whimpered and repented. You emphasize that you will really correct yourself and beg for forgiveness. Both options without exception ended in a spanking. (He also tells you to bend over his lap and get spanked…it's important to bend over in humiliation first. Your butt is so sore it feels like it's burning.) After the punishment is over, Sunday rubs ointment and lotion into your butt. He puts you on his knees, wipes your tears and kisses your forehead.
It's for your own good, he insists. He derived no pleasure from it. You wisely chose not to point out his rising smile.
Wedding!! Sunday was months in preparation for the wedding. He and you exchanged vows and kissed each other. Robin even shed a few tears. She was deeply touched. She was glad that her brother had his happiness. When you get married, you think it's going to be a conservative life, like once a week, missionary position, that sort of thing.
But, no… it was completely unexpected, like you said, Sunday penetrated you at every right angle and humiliating position. He had never done it before but was a quick learner. He explores your sensitive areas and sweet spots, focusing on attacking and teasing those spots. The gloved fingers circled your areola, occasionally pinching and scraping gently. He pinched your raised nipples as if you were about to produce milk. His balls ravaged and slammed against your vulva, his elegant glans hitting your sensitive spots accurately, and his thick cylinders stretching your tight, layered flesh. Fill you with seeds not just once but several times a day. Long periods of abstinence can make you very sensitive to touch. Just caressing your breasts can bring new excitement and tremors to your body, not to mention creampie. You… squirted. When you get your first squirt, Sunday watches you curiously and the amazing amount of squirt. You look completely engaged and surrendered, muttering shakily, rolling your eyes, and spreading your legs.
"No - no more…"
Uh-huh, yes, and if you keep that mean attitude when you're in a relationship with him. The satisfaction this gives Sunday is indescribable. Watching the look in your eyes go from aggressive to melting into orgasm, screaming and begging for no more rounds. You didn't know that a man who had been abstinent before turned out to be like this… His load that had been accumulated for a long time was released inside you, flowing through and filling you up. His cock stayed inside you for a moment, until it was hard again and the thrust returned, slamming into your ass.
And wash your mouth haha, that's a little too hardcore(?) for me and that's just for being a mean and condescending reader. Sunday might not like a rough approach, so… maybe a gag? As long as you keep being mean and saying horrible shit, eventually your mouth will get gagged. All you could say was "mmm!!" and "eh", "wh…" and other unwritten sounds, and you glared at him. Regardless, eventually you'll learn how to compliment him properly and without any swear words. (If Sunday realizes your taunt, he will put the gag in your mouth again without hesitation.)
All in all, you discovered another side of Sunday after marriage. Maybe he is not an ascetic man. He knows how to control. He knows he wants you.

★ your next glow up?
note — i wasn't gonna post this now but i figured fuck it why not?! enjoy, my loves! this is for entertainment purposes only <3 take what resonates and leave what doesn’t. p.s. come in my ask box and tell me what you think!
PILE ONE.
pile mf ONE, you are really stepping into a new era! when i tell you this new you is gonna turn HEADS. tuh, you’re gonna be looking like new money. nicki minaj’s ‘new body’ verse is coming to mind lol “you ain’t fuck me, you fucked the old body. you ain’t fuck nicki, you fucked nicole body! ain’t no miles on this here new body, off with they heads these bitches is nobody’s.” OH YEAH OKAYYY, PILE 1. maybe you’ll be hitting the gym more, switching up your diet or possibly getting some cosmetic work done?
whatever you’re doing differently, it’s gonna be noticeable. people are gonna feel like something changed with you overnight like “um when did pile 1 get so bad?” and this isn’t to say you aren’t already attractive…there’s just something about your energy and confidence that just amplified x1000 and people are really gonna feel and see this change in you. you might start experimenting with your outfits a little more, giving off a more seductive vibe. it’s like you're breaking out of your comfort zone especially if you usually opt for baggier clothes or a more conservative look. wait cause why am i thinking of ‘pretty little liars’ when emily is talking to aria about hanna and she’s like “haven’t you heard? she’s the it girl now.” PERIOD, PILE ONE. giving serena page vibes from love island.
there will be a lot of talk about you and even if you don’t hear it directly, trust me, people are gonna try to keep tabs on you. i’m seeing people re-watch your instagram stories tryna figure out who took you that place and who you’re doing it with — oh these people are spiralingggg. this could very well be potential suitors tryna scope out the scenery, but they’re not sure if you’ll be interested in them. they might fear rejection because you just look so damn good and it looks like you’re in such a better space in life and got your shit together; whereas they feel like they lack the resources/finances to be with you. these potential love interests see you as high value, pile 1. they’re intimidated by your beauty and aura. you’ll be more so focused on attracting a partner that can actually make shit happen.
you don’t have time for the cat and mouse games. you want the real deal and i do see you getting the person that you want. you manifested this person into your life and i sense them feeling like they won the lottery with you! i’m hearing that you are sooo mesmerizing on the outside and your heart & personality makes you so much more beautiful. there’s layers to you and i think this next glow up will allow you to really shine and be yourself unapologetically – you’re leaning into the different aspects of yourself that makes you unique. if there’s anything you’ve got your mind set on or something specific you want to do, go for it! whatever you do, you’ll stand out effortlessly and be successful. say yes by floetry is coming to mind. “see, i’ve been watching you for awhile…your smile and style. wanna know if i can be with you for the night, alright.” i meannnnn need i say more?!
how to tap into this energy?
listen closely to your intuition! work on your third eye because i’m hearing that you’re a powerful manifester and you don’t even truly know it. even if you do know this, you start doubting yourself and limiting your own thoughts. always think big and bigger because it’s in your reach. don’t get so caught up in the “how?” because your manifestations can appear in many different ways, not just one. you have a clear vision into the future – you just gotta adjust your lens and focus on what it is that YOU want. who cares if it doesn’t make sense to anyone else, as along as you see the vision then it’s a go! listen to ‘i want it all’ by sharpay evans lol you need to embody that song and its energy.
PILE TWO.
hey, pile 2! i’m hearing you’ve been putting up with the bullshit for wayyyy too long and this next glow up is gonna be a proper FUCK YOU to all your haters! i feel like people take your kindness for weakness and you feel like you don’t get the respect you deserve. you can deal with a lot of passive aggression in your relationships or friendships and people expect for you to suck it up and be okay with it. what i’m mainly picking up is that you like to keep the peace. you don’t want to ruffle anyone’s feather, but it just makes it worse for you because you’re not truly expressing yourself and your emotions. this keeps you up at night like “ugh! i should’ve said this or I should’ve stuck up for myself and finally cussed so and so tf out.” but you don’t because you know why, pile 2? you’re better than them, simple as that.
you wouldn’t treat anybody how some people treat you, and the reality is that it’s so much harder to be nice than it is to be mean. anybody can be mean and say hurtful shit if they really wanted to, but to always be graceful and kind in the face of adversity and ignorance? rare af. +10000 aura points! don’t let anybody make you feel less than or like you can’t speak up for yourself. this next glow up you’re going to use your voice and really make it known that you are not to be fucked with, okay?! you will be standing your ground and really popping your shit in the most calm and collected way possible & people are gonna be like “wait…did [y/n] really just clock me like that?!” and you’re gonna be standing 10 toes down on it as you should. they’ll have no choice but to respect you lol. you will start to realize what is worth your time & energy and what isn’t.
you might start cutting off people that don’t mean you any good and really start to focus on yourself and your energy. no more walking on egg shells and sparing peoples feelings, this is YOUR life and you have a voice just as much as they do – so use it! i think you’ll also be meeting new friends & a potential love interest during this next glow up. i’m hearing ‘how stella got her groove back’ lol so yeah some of you might be playing the field a little bit.
some of you might just want something casual and nothing more because you just want to focus on your own healing journey. you’ll start to understand why things had to happen the way that they did & why certain relationships didn’t work out the way that you thought they would. you’ll be able to decipher what you are and aren’t willing to put up with and honestly i just see you bossing tf up and advocating for yourself no matter who doesn’t like it. that tiktok “nobody loves you baby! you should only love yourself – ON MY SOUL!” just randomly came to me lmfaooo this is your ‘i’m focusing on what really matters aka me’ era and i think it’s exactly what you need pile 2.
how to tap into this energy?
i think you need to transmute the negative energy that people try to project on you into something positive. 12:12 on the clock, yeah. like look at this way, if people doubt you, don’t respect you or don’t feel like your capable of achieving great things then use that to your advantage. let them underestimate you all they want, and then BAM boss up on them and show them who tf you are. what they don’t know only makes you stronger. you have the power to make some powerful ass connections and make a name for yourself so be calculated & strategic with your moves. people will be eating their words when it comes to you, pile 2.
PILE THREE.
pile 3 your next glow up is gonna be a bit of an emotional rollercoaster ngl, but very rewarding nonetheless. i’m hearing that one tiktok sound “you gotta take the good with the bad, smile with the sad. love what you got and remember what you had.” so yeah i think you’re really gonna be figuring out how to transmute your energy and create something from it – whether that be a job opportunity, a love offer, a trip, etc. there’s something that you really want and you’re doing the work to make it happen. you have the plan, you just need the platform lol.
for some of you, i see a major relationship coming to an end. this could be a lover or a best friend, but this person will be exposed because they’re not who you thought they were. this person has very sneaky/deceptive energy and you’ve been in the dark about this for way too long. this person/connection means a lot to you, so you will feel like this is a tough situation to completely walk away from; but my sweet pile 3’s you will be more than okay! you will be spectacular! 10:10 was just on the clock.
allow yourself to sort through your emotions and learn from the situation, don’t let it weigh you down. sometimes we get too caught up in how long we’ve been with somebody and all of the good memories we made with them, that makes us hesitant to move on. sometimes things just run its course and you’re no longer in alignment with that person. you can’t force anything or anyone in your life that doesn’t align with your highest self and that can be very hard to process when emotions are involved but i’m happy to let you know there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
i see some of you traveling to a place you’ve always wanted to go and possibly meeting a potential love interest. in this next glow up, you’ll be doing things that you’ve always wanted to do cause there’s no one holding you back. you’re stepping out of your comfort zone and just taking a leap of faith – high risk, high reward. you’re gonna be making time for yourself and also prioritizing your hobbies/interests. this is beautiful, pile 3. i see you really getting in touch with who you are at the core. be kind and gentle with yourself, because you are a precious gem that a lot of people value and care about.
how to tap into this energy?
stop giving your power away. work on your throat chakra, my loves. your voice is your power and it’s one of the major keys to your success. a closed mouth doesn’t get fed, so you need to speak up and communicate what it is that YOU want and not just say what people want to hear. this next glow up will really have you standing in your power. release is needed especially verbally cause you know that tight feeling you get in your throat when you’re tryna stop yourself from crying? yeah no more of that. no more walking on egg shells, pile 3. say what you feel and stand on it & watch how the tides turn in your favor. mwah!
PILE FOUR.
alright, pile 4! for this next glow up i see you moving. some of you might actually be moving into a new home or apartment and it’s gonna grant you so much peace and comfort. for others of you, this could be you moving on emotionally from a toxic relationship and/or familial bond and finally getting the clarity and peace you need to cut all ties and move onto something better. whatever the situation may be, it was weighing heavy on you and making you feel very down.
you’re gonna feel so free when you leave this situation behind, it’s not even funny. i’m hearing that you were a gilded bird in a cage. some of you could’ve been moving from place to place, not feeling quite settled or financially stable. if you feel lost right now and like you don’t know what to do with your life/where it’s taking you, i just wanna say keep going – W.A.Y.S. by jhené aiko is coming to mind. “if there's one thing that i learned while in those county lines, is that everything takes time. you have gotta lose your pride, you have gotta lose your mind just to find your peace of mind.” awww yeah that’s your theme song for this next glow up. things might not make sense right now, but please trust me when i say that everything is going to work out in your favor & things will be better than you could ever imagine.
you will be blessed with the tools you need to get to this next phase of your life. you are the source, pile 4. whatever you put your mind to, you can surely achieve! don’t let 3D circumstances throw you off, you are so abundant and prosperous you will see in this next glow up just how much of a powerful manifester you really are. you’re still trying to find yourself and figure out where you fit in in the world, but you don’t have to put yourself in a box, pile 4. pave your own way and once you do others will want to follow suit. no one can see your future the way that you do, so keep doing your thing because i’m seeing that you will come across people/friends that share similar interests and niches as you. awww pile 4 you’re going to find your soul tribe.
you have this flighty energy about you (air sign energy/esp gemini) like you’re from one thing to the next and you can’t figure out what you truly want to do. some of you might be in college or almost about to graduate and when people ask you “do you know what you want to do?” you’re like uhhhh….]>|>]^>.]€]€]£ like you truly don’t know but like that’s okay cause actually you do know! on a soul level, you know. what’s understood doesn’t have to be explained pile 4 lol people might not get it now but when you pop out living the life you’ve always dreamed of, TUH. they’ll understand then.
how to tap into this energy?
get out of your head so much and just vibe, pile 4. you can plan plan plan all you want but the reality is: shit happens! it might annoy you or make you feel incredibly frustrated when another problem or inconvenience pops up in your life, but there’s nothing you can’t overcome. it’s life. you will be greatful for these experiences in the long run because it will be another bridge that you’ve already crossed and dealt with, so you won’t fold under pressure – you’ll just already know what to do. you got this, pile 4. shit is about to get really good for you.

Attention! This reading is for entertainment purposes only. This tarot reading does not give a 100% guarantee that all the described situations will occur or being ultimate truth. You build your own life and destiny and only you know yourself best.
✧ Masterlist ✧ Paid readings
Pick a pile. Choose one or more pictures. Trust your intuition.
Pile 1: Your future spouse is younger than you, but by nature very responsible and mature, quite reasonable and soberly looks at life, objective and honest, not one of those who hides the truth, can sometimes be too straightforward. They may look harsh, cold and unapproachable, but next to you they are very gentle, romantic and caring. This person is very fond of arranging romantic surprises, and in general tends to devote a lot of time and attention to lover. They can often arrange dates or give you gifts, talk a lot of tenderness. They also take great care of their figure, they probably have an athletic physique and they can often exercise and monitor their diet to maintain their figure. Their profession or occupation is closely related to a managerial position, they can work in the field of law, research, in the field of exact sciences, in particular physics and mathematics, in the field of medicine. They are quite educated and constantly improve their skills, in their free time they prefer reading books or listening to lectures or videos on a narrow specialized topic. They may be from a conservative and religious family. They also don't really like stability, they like to change something in their lives, for example, they can often rearrange rooms, they can experiment with style, or they can often get out of the house and do something they like, because they don't like to stay at home for a long time.
Pile 2: Your future spouse is quite an intelligent, erudite person, when talking to them, you may get the impression that your spouse knows everything and can answer any of your questions — and they really understand many topics. Perhaps their line of work is closely related to writing texts, they may be interested in journalism, writing, philosophy, and like to watch documentaries. By their nature, they are very calm, they can be slow, they have a relaxed speech, posture, facial expression and in general they are very relaxed in life, they are probably one of those who do not worry about trifles and live one day. They are quite responsive, kind, talkative and like to chat a lot, but they also like to listen to others. Perhaps in the past they were fond of horse riding or they dream of trying to do it! They are also fond of gardening, perhaps their family has its own farm or a house outside the city with its own vegetable garden. They are not afraid of competition, on the contrary, competition only motivates them, adds excitement. This applies to everything, even games are taken seriously and can perceive games not as entertainment, but as competition, to win at any cost.
Pile 3: Your future spouse is a calm and reasonable person, they cannot be called conflicted, but if make them angry, they always know what to say so that they close their mouth to the interlocutor and that their opponent feels ashamed and regrets that he even started arguing. They have a stable job and a stable income, it's hard to say that they are striving for promotion, they are satisfied with what they have now, they are completely satisfied with their career. They can do charity work, volunteer from time to time, or work in animal shelters. Although they are calm for the most part, they tend to worry about their future from time to time, they can also have a lot of fears and they can panic too much when something does not go according to plan or when they face the slightest setback. By themselves, they are quite detached, they like to be alone, they are thoughtful and carefully choose their words before saying something and think a lot before doing anything. In terms of relationships, they are hardly romantic, but they are very loyal and will be with their loved one until the end, they respect their partner and support him in any decisions. The union with such a person is very strong and long.
Thank you for reading! I will be glad of any feedback 💕

American pie [1/2]
Category : Caitlin C × !momreader
Summary : You and Caitlin have known each other since childhood, you love each other more than friends but the situation pushes you to live in hiding. While Caitlin suffers from this situation and lets you know it, an event changes everything.
It's a busy weekend for you and Caitlin, as local basketball teams compete in a three-day tournament.
The tournament itself has no stakes, and winning it won't affect the official championship standings. So it can be described as "friendly". But unofficially, it allows players and teams to get noticed. To stand out from the crowd and make a name for themselves.
So every team and every player has a little bit of anxiety before every game and tries to keep up as best they can.
You and Caitlin have known each other forever. Kindergarten was where you first met, where you first talked, and where your friendship began.
You've been through a lot with her, you've always been there for each other, and at the age of 21, you never doubted the trust and love you had for each other.
You've never played basketball, but you've always enjoyed encouraging her, supporting her, watching her grow in the sport, and becoming her number one fan. She couldn't get enough of you, and at every game, her eyes sought yours for comfort and courage.
In the eyes of everyone, especially those closest to you, you're the best of friends, like in typical American movies.
But you've both known for some time that this bond and these feelings are more than friendship. That's why you've been secretly dating for over a year now. You look forward to every moment you can get away from the world to kiss and cuddle.
If you've decided to keep this relationship a secret, it's because your parents couldn't bear to find out that you like women.
In fact, you come from a very conservative aristocratic family. And you're officially in a relationship with a boy your own age and, more importantly, from the same social class as you. Your parents introduced you to him about 10 months ago, and you quickly accepted, hoping that this relationship would make it easier to hide your relationship with Caitlin.
Of course, your girlfriend doesn't like the situation, but she accepts it out of respect for you, and you can never thank her enough.
Today is the penultimate day of the tournament, and Team Iowa is well on its way to winning its last game of the day. There's only one quarter left, but it won't be enough for the other team to come back from behind.
So this is the perfect opportunity for you to admire Caitlin on the field without the stress.
The tall brunette is as relaxed as she is smiling as she watches the clock tick away. Her hair is tied back in a ponytail, which you did yourself before the game started. Her muscular shoulders gleam in the spotlight.
The crowd chants and screams Caitlin's name as she continues to put on a show, scoring more and more impressive baskets. She couldn't care less about the disappointment her opponents will feel when the final buzzer sounds.
Your heart races and a smile spreads across your face as you watch your friend blossom on the court. She's talented, beautiful, and popular. Many would give anything to be friends with her, if not more. And yet she reserves that privilege for you, and you alone.
And with only a few seconds left, you approach the edge of the field. With your "22 Clark" jersey on your back, you wait for another autograph.
This is your little ritual: Ever since her arrived in Iowa, you've proudly worn Caitlin's jersey to all of her games, and every time she wins, she adds a signature to it. That makes you the most autographed fan in the world.
- Hi ! she says, signing her name on a loose part of youre jersey.
- Hi! you say.
She hands you back your marker and you look into each other's eyes for a long time, her exploding with the joy of victory and you contemplating the stars shining in her eyes.
- I love it when you look at me like that Caitlin smile.
- I love looking at you, you're sublime, Caity.
Her eyes went to your lips as your boyfriend grabbed your hips and pulled you close.
- Don't look at my girlfriend like you're going to devour her, Clark, I'll end up thinking you're trying to steal her away from me. he joked falsely.
The player's smile vanished and her eyes filled with hatred at the sight of his hands on your hips.
- No risk, I'll leave you alone, my team is waiting for me, see you later Y/N.
You tried to smile at her before turning to your boyfriend.
- The game went well, didn't it? He smiled.
- Yeah, it was cool, but my stomach hurts. ....
- Shall we go home?
Of course, you didn't want to go home. That's why you bargained with him to let you spend the night with Caitlin.
He understood your little trick, but you made a deal that he wouldn't tell your parents your secret. So you agreed to having sex with him from time to time at first and the, after he met a girl, let him see her. Caitlin knows absolutely nothing about this, and you knew better than to tell her. You're doing this for you and her.
When he finally agreed, he left, saying goodbye to you and making you promise to spend the next evening with him, as you both had to go to dinner with his family.
So you waited in silence for Caitlin to come out of the dressing room, and when she finally did, after many minutes, her wet hair fell back on her shoulders. You were so impatient that you wanted to jump into her arms.
Strangely, she didn't respond to your embrace, gently pushing you away.
- You should have gone home with him.
You took the time to look at her and saw that her eyebrows were furrowed and her jaw clenched.
You grimaced as you felt the pain in your stomach suddenly intensify, then resumed the conversation:
- It's you I want to be with, it's you I love. I thought we were celebrating your victory!
- Because I don't love you?
- I didn't say that, Caity!
You grabbed her arm and forced her to stop. The pain became too much and you couldn't do it while walking.
- He knows Y/N. He deliberately puts his dirty hands on you, kisses you in front of me, holds you close. It destroys me, it hurts. Don't you know how many years I've spent waiting for you to realize how much I love you, and now that we're starting to create our story, for real, I have to share you with a guy out of nowhere and say nothing?
- I'm doing this for us...I...it's not easy for either of us...
- For us? But we're not going to live like this all our lives. I want to see us grow together, travel, why not get married or buy a coffee maker and have cats all over the house. Fucking Y/N, we're 21 and we're hiding like teenagers!
- I want to do all that with you and you know it. You're not being fair, Caitlin, I'm scared.
- Scared of what? Losing parents who never loved you for who you really are? Fine, if that's what you want, then be their sweet little girl, but I don't want to go through this anymore, I've sacrificed too much in this story, I'm going crazy!
You knew the situation wasn't easy for anyone, especially her. But to see her look at you with such contempt and anger, to hear those words, it's like a slap in the face. You were convinced you were doing what was best for you, but you were wrong, and it meant losing the one you love most in the world.
Your ears are ringing, your vision is clouded with tears, your heart is racing. You hate yourself, but the noise in your head prevents you from finding the words to answer her. The pain in your stomach seems to be worsened, becoming less and less manageable.
- I'm sorry, Y/N, you should go home... shall I call you a cab?
When she asked this question, her tone had softened and you could hear a hint of concern.
But not being able to think clearly, you let her drag you to her car and she took you home, in your room.
- I didn't want you to get into this state, but I'm suffering too.
That night she drove off, leaving you in bed after planting a kiss on your forehead. You writhed in pain for part of the night, and as she closed the door to your big house, she never imagined it would be the last time she'd see you for a long time, before everything between you and her changed forever.

Today in “we get it, you hate JKR” or “is this really activism?”:
Oh no! The community - like most - enjoys Harry Potter?! Better slap that nonsense out of their mouths ASAP. Don’t they know how bad that is? Librarians should always go against their community’s needs and interests, it’s how they stay open!
This man goes on to say that the library actually experienced a run-in with a conservative group that attacked the library through legislation, nearly got it shut down, and sent death threats to library staff. So obviously the best thing to do is write them a self-serving letter about how Harry Potter Bad:
Some brain trusts in the comments point out that their communities are not Woke Enough and continue to enjoy an engaging book series for young people. One even claims to minimize Harry Potter’s presence as much as possible at their library, like any honest librarian would.
Oh no! Children enjoy reading?? What should we do to shut that nightmare down??
Further intellectuals let us know that JKR Has Always Been Bad and Why Does Thing Need Theme At All If Not Woke:
“Surely something that’s generic and shows that we are Firmly Against That Woman would be more fun to organize?”
Harry Potter is hanging on because it is a good book series, a good movie series… it’s games and a theme park and people like it. It has nothing to do with money being “tied up” in it, that’s just called people talking with their money” or “being normal consumers.”
I love the lengths these people will go to in order to find any fault with the series or events around it, just so they can virtue-signal how much they hate JKR.
Nick the Geek: leave your fucking library alone. Or start doing activism for it that isn’t performative. Donate books. Tutor ESL learners. Offer to give your time teaching hobbies to others. Help seniors with computers. Those all take work, but they are things the library actually needs, not another bearded man whose profile says he’s “trying to be nicer” writing them useless letters. Their programming was probably already bought and paid for, with a specifically allocated budget, and you demanding they change course does nothing but add onto the pile of nonsense they don’t need.

Getting air into your lungs was proving to be one of the hardest things you’d had to do for a long time, which, considering the journey you’d been on, was shocking. The act of simply breathing should have come easily to you, but it didn’t. It couldn’t. Not as you saw the reflection of your own bloodied face in the knife that was held up, a clear threat polluting the air.
You knew you had probably been lucky to even make it as far as you had — born into a world full of death and chaos and infection, you were bound to meet your gruesome end some day, but you didn’t want to die.
For the first time in a long time, your chest ached for the breath you couldn’t seem to provide, the want, the need to live almost suffocating you on its own. You had someone now, someone who cared whether you survived or not, who felt like you deserved even a glimpse at a happy ending, even if he didn’t like to state those things out loud.
Resentment was growing in your stomach, filling you with the need to be sick. Why did you always have to listen to the words Joel didn’t say, rather than the ones he did say? If you had just listened, conserved your trust for those who actually earned it, you wouldn’t be in this situation.
When your hunting escapades had led you into a small horde of infected, you had just blindly put your faith in the aging couple who came to your aid, not thinking of what they might want for their troubles. You’d never had to escape without Joel’s help before, and you quickly discovered you weren’t all that good at it.
The two of them had dragged you back to their nearby settlement which they shared with a couple dozen others, all whilst you were kicking and screaming, trying to get away, your resolve fading each time they hit you to near unconsciousness. When they passed by a young man stood beside an older lady, you had called out to them, “Please, help me, please.”
“Gotta get something in return for the gear we wasted saving her ass,” the man had snickered to the two of them as glanced at the couple, just nodding at his words before turning back to their conversation.
You’d been knocked out when they approached a large community house, just getting a glimpse of the carpeted floor before the woman had struck her gun against the side of your head.
You had woken up in the middle of a chilled room, your arms straining with effort as you pushed yourself to sit up, seeing the woman holding a knife towards you. You couldn’t be sure how long it had been since they’d taken you, not with the way your stomach clenched with pain. The whole reason you’d been out there was to solve that, but you were sure that it had gotten worse.
“Listen, please,” your scratchy voice came out, much quieter than you had meant for it to be, “I—I can get you replacements for everything you used, but you gotta let me go.”
“We don’t gotta do anything, girl.” The lady snickered, as if even you saying such a thing was amusing. It made you feel small, powerless.
She got up, hearing her name being called, Cheryl, you noted, and sneered at you. Her skin was dull, and she looked vaguely ill, but that didn’t change anything about her threatening demeanour. At least one thing you’d taken from travelling with Joel was never underestimate your opponent, no matter how small, or ill, or kind they may appear to be.
Her hand grazed your face as she strode past, “Yeah,” she said quietly, like she was complimenting you, “You’ll do nicely. We’ll both enjoy you.”
You managed to avoid throwing up until she left the room, hearing a lock click into place. All that came up was bile, the clench of your stomach just becoming sharper afterwards. Your muscles felt weak, likely beginning to waste away with you having been inactive for a little while and injured, less energy wasted on muscle cells and more going into fighting off the infections that were likely trying to poison your blood.
Scanning the room, like Joel would’ve advised you to, you found nothing of much use to you. An old rickety chair, perhaps, but that would only help you if you could lift it, and you weren’t convinced you had the strength left within you, but you’d be damned if you didn’t at least try.
Something deep in your chest nagged at you, the longing for Joel, probably. He had saved you on countless occasions, and you could only hope that it had been long enough that he had finally gotten worried. It seemed likely, he really did worry a lot for a man who wasn’t meant to care, but then there was the factor of him finding you, managing to take down all the people in the settlement that might fight to protect each other and—
You took a deep breath, finally feeling your lungs expand and take in some oxygen, and pulled yourself from the ground, keeping the bile that threatened to rise down as the nausea hit you.
The chair was lighter than you expected it to be, the insides of the wooden frame likely rotten away, and you managed to pull it towards the door, waiting beside it with shallow breaths. When the lock finally began to click open, you raised the lightweight chair as high as you could, and smacked it down against the person who entered the room. Splinters flew from it as it impacted, and you heard the clatter of metal as a tray they carried hit the ground with them.
Food, maybe, to keep you alive for… whatever it was that they had planned for you, you reasoned, but didn’t look to check. Instead, you grabbed a mostly-intact leg of the chair that caused splinters to dig into your palm, and stepped over the body of the man who had taken you, exiting quickly.
Footsteps hurried you, and you ducked behind a booth as they approached the room you were being kept in. There were lanterns lit all around the room, giving it a warm look that greatly contrasted the cold air and feel it had.
“Shit!” Cheryl cursed, and you saw her bend down to check on the man from over the top of your booth. A radio crackled though the air, before, “Lewis is down, the girl’s out. Anybody got eyes?”
Your fingers shook and you gripped on to the booth to stop them, hearing the distorted reply of whoever was on the other end of the radio, “She ain’t got out, yet, she’s gotta be in there with you. You need backup?”
“No,” Cheryl replied, her cold voice sending shivers down your back, “I’ve got her.”
The drag of Lewis’ clothes against the floor made you peak your head up, seeing her drag him into the room, before she exited and locked him inside. You ducked back down, heart hammering. You couldn’t escape from them in an open forest — how would you get out of a locked down building?
“Come on out, kid. It’s okay, you just gotta start behaving yourself.” She called, her slow footsteps failing to mask the sound of her unsheathing her knife. It wasn’t okay, it was very far from okay, you would argue, and you could feel that crushing fear of death pushing down on your shoulders, your chest constricting once again.
You tried to reassure yourself — you had faced countless amounts of infected and come out on the other side, what was one woman with very bad intentions? But it didn’t make you feel better, not when it was another human, who could feel exactly what you felt.
Her footsteps approached, and you leaped from where you were in the booth, trying to run as far away from her as fast as you could, but she caught up to you with surprising ease, your muscles clearly weaker than initially thought, and she grasped the back of your shirt, pulling you to a stop as you fell to the ground.
“Get the fuck off of me!” You cried out as she knelt down, one knee beside you and another pressing against your stomach, knife approaching your throat as soon as she settled you firmly against the carpet. It was red.
“You could’ve made this real easy for all of us,” she muttered your name, and you froze, having forgotten the way you’d yelled it out to them in the midst of the battle. “Be a good girl, now.”
You heard gunfire outside, and when her face glanced toward the guarded front door, you twisted underneath her, pushing yourself away to find enough room to kick the knee against the floor out from under her. She fell, her chin hitting the ground with a satisfying crack, and when she cried out, anger overcame you.
“You were gonna hurt me,” You said aloud, almost as if it was a realisation, rather than just fact. Your eyes hardened, gaze going red as you snatched the knife from her weakened grip. She reached out to try and snatch it back, but only got the drops of your blood that fell from the blade as you held onto it, twisting it until you finally held the handle. “Why— why were you going to hurt me?”
Her response didn’t filter through your ears, and the rage at how easily she and Lewis were going to do it pulsed, making your vision go blurry. When she sat up, tumbling forward to take you down again, you swiped her own knife until you felt the drag of something resisting it, and then you pulled harder, feeling something warm gushing down your hand.
Cheryl’s breath stuttered slightly, her hands rising to her chest as she groaned in pain. You looked down to your hands, where they were coated in a red that was darker than the carpet below them, and you were so lost that you didn’t notice her hand coming below yours, hitting it so hard that the knife went flying to the other end of the carpet.
Like a reflex, your fists came down on her face, feeling the shift of bones beneath your knuckles as they shattered upon contact. You didn’t stop, too wrapped up in the fact that you didn’t want to die, that she was going to hurt you, to kill you when she was done, she was going to tear you apart and throw away the pieces, she was going to take away what little humanity had left, she—
Arms pulled you away from the body beneath you, arms much stronger than your own, and you screamed, yelled out with your broken voice, “I’ll kill you, I’ll fucking kill you, get off of me! I’ll kill you!”
The person shushed you, only holding tighter as you thrashed, turning away from Cheryl where she… wasn’t breathing. You stopped, tense muscles in your body going slack and burning as you stared at her, at her body, lifeless and covered in blood.
“Kid, it’s okay, it’s okay, I’ve got you.” said the person holding you— said Joel. Your hands dropped from where you had scratched his forearm, his arm covered in blood — though whether it was his, or Cheryl’s, or yours, you didn’t know.
He loosened his grip on you, eyebrows creased in concern as your entire body slipped when he moved his arms away, as if you couldn’t even hold yourself up.
“No… she— it wasn’t, I didn’t—” you trailed off, unsure of what to say, the words dead on your tongue, because you didn’t what? Didn't mean to kill her?
Joel followed your blank eyes to the body he’d pulled you from, and he turned your head towards him quickly, eyes hard. “No.” He said, and at your somewhat confused expression, he continued, “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“Joel, I—”
“No,” he repeated, and pulled your head towards him, keeping you looking away from Cheryl as a gunshot rang through the room, echoing in your ears so loudly you couldn’t hear Joel at first, as he held up the smoking gun for you to see, “—killed her, see? I killed her.”
“They were going… they wanted to—” You choked on the words, feeling that bile come creeping back up your throat, and you lurched away from Joel as it came out, feeling him pull your hair back from your face.
Something in his eyes settled, however, at the choice of word you’d used — they. So this body wasn’t the only one in here? His question was answered by a bang at a door on the other side, the way your entire body flinched at the sound.
The door splintered, and a battered man came tumbling out, hurrying over to where he could see people crowded. His face went red, and he began to shout, “You fucking bitch—!”
Joel shot one between the eyes, and the man crumpled before he could get anything else out. He turned back to you, to where you were hunched in on yourself. He shoved his gun back in its rightful place, and held your cheeks between his hands, gunpowder residue transferring to your skin.
“Do you hear me?” His muted voice said, and you looked up to his face with a confused shake of your head, “It was you or them, and the only answer is you.”
“But, Joel,” you were interrupted, and he wiped the underneath of your eye of a tear that you hadn’t even known had fallen.
“No. You listen to me, remember?” Joel affirmed, and you nodded, the tears falling more now that you’d acknowledged them, your hands shaking as you tried to look past Joel, but he just pulled your face back to him. “I’ve got you, kid. Keep your eyes on me.”
You turned your face into his neck as you all but threw yourself into his arms, and they wrapped around you like they’d been waiting to do so. You missed his pained expression at the words, and the way heartache burrowed in his chest as he stood the two of you up, his knees clicking.
He swept you up, as if you were the smallest and lightest thing he’d carried in years, and he carried you away, your eyes staying glued to him as the two of you left behind the carnage he’d caused in looking for you.

[written chapter]
[a/n: the reactions of the fans are not happening at the same time as the events written.]
a large team with cameras and employees of different categories were in a field not far from the city. from the makeup area where they also got their microphones to that piece of land where there used to be nothing, but now there was a recreational structure for the recording, it was about twenty minutes by car. the filming crew surrounded the cast of azza time!, which was meeting for another week to produce a new episode.
the celebrities were casually chatting about everyday topics and also conspiring about what today's maze could be, already accustomed after three years to the dynamics of the program in which the production devised confusingly ordered circuits in which there were different games as obstacles that required general knowledge, intelligence, and also physical skill.
serim often asked herself how she had ended up being part of this kind of program and not one where she could merely sit, eat and talk, as she knew there were many.
after waiting a moment, the director was heard throughout the set announcing that they would begin recording, so the regulars stood next to each other looking at the camera to start the program.
“so…” sejeong, who was standing next to serim, leaned even closer to her friend so that she could talk to her without anyone else hearing. “is she your girlfriend today or not?” she asked as she watched the guests approaching from a distance.
serim returned an annoyed look, causing sejeong to laugh with accomplishment. “they asked us to act friendly in front of the camera.”
“in that case, i hope she doesn't go into acting.” she commented, looking at karina, who showed irritation on her face.
they received the indication that they were already being filmed and then jaesuk, the main host of the program, began the presentation of the episode and gave way to a short exchange of words between the arranged cast, to finally introduce the guests.
“…they finally returned to azza time with their first full album, ‘armageddon’, aespa!” the four members entered the camera vision and were welcomed with applause from the mcs.
the group introduced themselves, as well as one by one, and then their new project, courtesy questions that are asked at the beginning of any variety show took some time, in which the leader of aespa did not deign to place her eyes even close to the position in which the leader of heaven was, as if they did not partially live together.
“serim-ah." jaesuk called, catching her attention. “you are an idol, are you close to the members of aespa?”
“well…” she turned to look at them, noticing that winter and ningning were holding back the urge to laugh, while giselle looked terrified at the possible answer to that question, and karina had her eyes on the ground. “we have recently promoted together, as you know,” she recalled. “we are co-workers, we can still become closer." she replied, careful with her words.
“didn't you exchange contacts after the episode they appeared in before?” another member, jukjae, chimed in, surprised that they weren't close.
“to be honest, i don't really remember that episode.” serim's answer caused her mates to laugh.
“that sounds like serim.” sejeong accepted.
“from among them,” the star of the conversation pointed to the guests with her hand. “karina and i…” the aforementioned raised her head quickly to look at her seriously, causing serim to smile sideways, smug. “we are the closest.” she adverted, turning her gaze from the girl to her work friends.
the others started talking over each other asking questions, after all, they were quite close since they recorded together every week and even met after when they could, but it wasn't enough to know who was in their inner circles, so they were fascinated by the new information of a possible friendship between their beloved serim and another of the most popular idols in the country.
“karina and i,” this time she spoke to the camera, possibly because she was disturbed by the furious gaze of the blackhaired woman who was staring at her. “we met through what she describes as…” she gave a sigh and thought for a second. “a business matter.” she nodded her head, affirming the memory of jimin using that term. “we've spent a lot of time together” she added. "at work." she commented, creating even more tension than there already was between her and the guest, but seeming like an ordinary anecdote to those who had no idea of the context behind it.
“i can't believe we're on the same team again." sejeong complained to serim as both of them, part of the red team, entered the maze prepared for that day.
the azza time labyrinths were artificially assembled sets that were easy to dismantle, but they needed large spaces to be settled up in, which is why the episodes were always recorded in open fields or large spaces such as baseball stadiums or sports courts. they were generally themed based on what the guests were promoting, and in this case, the topic was an alien invasion.
the dynamics of the program is that the participants are divided into two randomly chosen groups that have to explore the map until they find the exit, completing missions, playing games or passing obstacles along the way, and once reached the end they cannot win without a certain number of these carried out.
“it's destiny trying to tell us something.” she brought her hand to her chest acting in love with her.
“serim, could you behave?” the oldest punched her shoulder in frustration. “karina is right there." she joked, without having the latest news on the relationship between these two.
ningning turned to look horrified at the brunette, then at her leader to capture her reaction, but she just, very poorly, pretended she didn't hear, while serim swallowed hard and opened her eyes wide as if she were trying to tell her friend to shut up with them, although she didn't see it since with her competitive spirit she had taken the lead in the team. even so, the atmosphere did not become uncomfortable since the other two members of the cast did laugh at the joke, although they may not have understood it very well.
without giving time for there to be any type of interaction between the two leaders because of that comment, a sharp shout from sejeong was heard, and as a result, the two members of aespa who were on the team reacted the same out of inertia. when they turned a corner they ran into an actor in an alien costume, and once everyone saw what it was that had scared the woman, they simply burst out laughing at the absurdity of the situation. once they grew normal with it, serim approached the boy and took a letter that he had in his hand to open it so she could read what it said.
unconsciously, due to her restless, game-loving and impatient nature, jimin pressed her body against the older girl's, trying to grasp the instructions to start the mission as quickly as possible, wrapping her touch around the other's upper arm and leaving her cheek only a tilt of her head from jang's skin. but serim loves being right, in addition to being in control of every scenario, and considering the grudge and annoyance she held against jimin at that moment for the attitude she had adopted that they were complete strangers, she couldn't help but notice the girl's closeness, nor contain the victorious smile that appeared on her face, creating a pedantic and arrogant aura, which only unfolded with karina abruptly breaking apart from her side in madness.
“let's see if i understood." dongyeon spoke after hearing the explanation. “he" pointed to the alien. “is going to sing in an extraterrestrial language and we have to guess what song it is?”
"exactly." assured ningning funnily before the mini-game.
they prepared to carry out the activity, sitting on some stools that the production prepared for them and paying attention to the man when he began his part, failing in some, but eventually getting four of the five songs right that they needed to complete that point of the race.
everyone was waiting for the next melody, leaning on the edge of their seats, ready to shout the answer. the boy awkwardly started humming something after receiving the name and the show's stars took a moment to guess what it was.
“ah!” serim exclaimed after identifying the sound, feeling a tap on her shoulder from one, very passionate about the game, jimin, who seemed to have also deciphered it and wanted to communicate it to someone in some way. “snsd!” she shouted, upset.
“party!” yu finished.
for just a second everything was silent, but the moment it was confirmed that it was the correct answer, they both squealed happily. the song began to play through the speakers so they could complete the next part, which was to dance and sing it, to which they both got up running. serim got to the center faster, but she has always been terrible at remembering choreographies, so she stayed static, although not for long because as soon as karina caught up with her, she pushed her out of the shot and started performing impeccably.
upon seeing the youngest, the vocalist remembered the steps and returned to her position, covering her work mate in front of the camera lens and continuing with the dance. however, this one approached quickly and she used the full weight of her body to rush at the girl who had interrupted her, quickly returning to the middle to continue from where she had left off. jang stopped to look at her in disbelief, but quickly regained her determination and approached with wide steps to wrap her arms around her waist and lift her off the ground, carrying her back through the air to leave her behind, going back to the center to finish the challenge by herself.
“girls, remember that you can dance together, we are all one team.” tried to intervene jaesuk from his seat, although in any case, all the spectators found the leaders' tom and jerry act entertaining and funny.
but no one listened to the man and the main dancer once again gained the spotlight by pulling the older's shirt until she was off camera, ending in serim running back towards her and grabbing her by the torso again, but this time maintaining her grip, no longer trying to dance, but to prevent the girl from achieving what she wanted.
"let go!" perhaps because of the distraction of wanting to win, she didn't give that order with bitterness, but rather charged with the emotion of a child who wants to continue playing.
“no! it's my favorite group, i have to answer!" she refused, still having her captured in her embrace.
“it's my favorite group too, nam…” she realized. “serim." she retracted herself, trying to get free.
“it can't be because you and i would never have anything in common.” she contradicted.
“i liked snsd before you did!” seeing that she couldn't get out of the woman's arms, she changed her strategy and began to try to throw her to the ground.
“how would you know when i started liking snsd?” she struggled to maintain balance.
"intuition!" she responded simply as she finally managed, after kicking serim's foot and causing her to lose balance when it lifted suddenly, to get her to fall off. although perhaps she didn't expect the vocalist to take her down too.
“they both got the point for the team.” someone from the staff announced. they hadn't even noticed that the song was no longer playing.
"that's not fair!" from the ground, jimin pointed accusingly her index at the person who said that, with her back against serim's front and still in her hold, still too blinded by her desire for victory to notice what position she found herself in.
"i don't believe you!" serim continued.
“it is possible, we are playing as a team.” interrupted sejeong, appearing in their field of vision above them. "get up please."
after several hours of recording, the red team was on the fifth mission, and this was one of those that required physical dexterity. before them stood a platform that swayed, decorated as if it were a spaceship. in the middle of it, there was nothing more than a tube that connected from the floor under the machine to the ceiling of the place, which had various steps that wrapped around it, and a little higher hung a series of figures in moons, stars, hearts, and butterflies of different colors. on the sides of the wobbly stage were two baskets.
the game consisted of reaching the required figures and placing them in the containers without anyone falling off that surface that kept rotating and moving up and down. those in charge of climbing to reach the emblems were ningning and dongyeon, while jaesuk and sejeong were the ones who had to throw them into the barrels trying to fill them, and karina together with serim worked as hinges, holding the previous two so that they do not fall, but also ensuring that those who climbed didn't either.
the figures were very high, so the hosts really had to work hard to reach them, but dongyeon managed to get a pink star, as requested in the game instructions, and went down to pass it to serim who would get it to sejeong. but as soon as the last one stretched out to try to throw the object where it had to enter, as it was her first attempt, she lost her balance and also the support she had in serim's hand, almost falling into the water that was under them. fortunately, her friend, with speed and agility, released her grip on the tube, taking advantage of the fleeting moment in which the platform was tilted on the opposite side, but elevated on hers, she approached kim, hugged her against her body, and returned to hold on just in time so they wouldn't be propelled out of the game.
on the other side, ningning already had a green moon in her hand, but she was still on the iron bars that functioned as steps. it was difficult for her to go down because of the movement, leaning on her leader so that she could tell her when it would be appropriate to step. but the blackhaired woman had her eyes distracted by serim and how she was hugging sejeong, which is why she was not paying attention to her maknae when she tried to get down just at the moment when the ground rose on their side, causing the girl's foot to suddenly rose and with it the rest of her body that was still over the metals that formed a staircase, leaving her hand trapped in the one it was wrapped and causing her thumb to bend unnaturally as she did not adapt to the abrupt change in position. the youngest girl's scream echoed throughout the place, accompanied by her body falling on top of her bandmate as she released her grip because of the pain.
upon hearing her, the game stopped and the production, as well as the group's staff, came to help her without delay. taking her off the set to the car they had arrived in so she could be checked by a doctor, followed by karina, while the others were notified. everyone gathered outside to deliberate about what had happened and wait for answers about whether they could continue recording, while the members of aespa gathered around the car with their manager and others to see how serious the maknae's injury had been.
after a moment, when she saw the emergency staff leaving, serim decided to approach the girls.
“hey, ning, how are you?” she gave her a kind smile.
"fine." she assured her, she didn't look distressed. “it's a sprain, but it's not serious, in a few days it will heal.” she raised her hand to show it. “they only gave me this.” a splint held the injured finger in place, wrapped with some bandages to support it.
"i'm happy to hear you're well." she walked over to lie against the truck next to the opening where ningning was. "but what happened?" she put her palm on the girl's leg, which made her nervous and so begin to mix up her words when trying to explain, without getting her to understand.
"it was my fault." karina interrupted, gaining the attention. “i should have been attentive to help her get down, but i wasn't.” she explained.
“no, it wasn't anyone's fault.” ningning denied. “my finger got caught in the tube, no one would have imagined that would happen.” she clarified.
“either way, it was my role to prevent something like that from happening.” yu repeated.
“you seem to have a tendency to lose control of things.” serim observed, her tone slightly hostile to her.
"what do you mean by that?" she furrowed her eyebrows and looked at her with annoyance.
“whatever you want to understand.” she shrugged her shoulders. “ning, have they already told you if you will be able to continue recording? maybe you should rest.” she turned to see the named one.
“serim, i think i already told you more than once, but you don't know me enough to make assumptions about me.” she warned irritably.
“don't you get tired of repeating the same things over and over again?” jang turned her gaze to her in distaste. “even jesus rested.”
“i wouldn't have to keep repeating the same thing if you would just stop acting so immature.” karina defended herself.
“i'm done talking to you.” serim cut off her words.
“how can you be so unbearable?” she took a few steps to get closer to her.
“that question is too personal, i'm sorry, i thought you didn't want to know anything about me.” she pushed herself from the vehicle and faced her.
“can you two not fight? ningning almost ripped off her finger…” giselle tried to stop them.
“is all the resentful attitude you've had today is because i rejected you?” she crossed her arms. “poor little serim, finally a woman says no to her.” she hummed mockingly.
“what resentful attitude are you even talking about?” she inquired unperturbed.
“your constant laughing, looks and comments with double meanings.” she recounted. “that speech of yours about how we met that you gave at the beginning, was it necessary?” jimin was furious.
“i was just repeating what you told me.” she argued with an innocent tone. “and for someone who doesn't want to know anything about me, i noticed that you were very aware of what i do all day.” she tilted her head, looking at her expectantly.
“how can i not notice the stuff you do if you are over me all the time hoping that i do something you can hold against me?” she exclaimed, raising her voice.
“did i force you to do those things that i ended up rubbing to your face?” she responded, turning up the volume of her sentences.
“i didn't do anything to you all day!”
“aside from letting your groupmate get injured because you were too focused on what i was up to?” she exclaimed exasperatedly. “or did you really think i didn't catch you staring?” she spoke normally again, but still with anger.
“fuck you, serim.” she said angrily and turned around to leave.
“fuck me yourself!” she shouted loudly for karina to hear as she walked away from her.

CHAPTER 9 ────────────────────
The shareholder’s meeting arrived faster than anticipated. An unspoken tension in the room, two sides within one corporation.
While many conservative members sided with Jungshin, the eldest grandson, an automatic heir to L Corp., there were a select handful that doubted whether he had what it takes to make another impact like his Grandfather had once.
They turned to Lee Minho. The youngest of the family. At such an age he was able to make himself known, both internally and within the media. His name buzzed amongst society, on top of it all, was his engagement into the Park family. An automatic attention grabber for many of the executives and shareholders who were on the fence.
Within the grand presentation hall, everything was cordial. Smiles exchanged, nods and greetings, captured by the handful of reporters from major business news stations allowed in for an exclusive scoop of this meeting.
Both candidates exuded confidence as they took their respective positions in the room. The grand doors swung open, and Chairman Lee made his entrance for the first time in a long while. His smiling face surveyed the crowd, which stood in respect. The cameras and videographers were positioned at the back of the room to capture every moment of the presentation at the small stage where the contenders would present their plans.
Finally, Lee Jungshin greeted the audience with a polite smile and motioned for his younger brother to take the floor first.
“I’m very proud of my brother.” He began.
“Vice President Lee has come a long way, and I want him to know that this older brother of his supports him in everything.” He placed a hand over his chest and glanced toward Minho with a supportive nod, a twinge of sarcasm in his tone that only the youngest son could hear it seemed.
The crowd responded positively to his words, erupting with a breif applause as Minho stepped forward to the podium, taking the space Jungshin stepped out of. The older cousin gave him a friendly pat on the back before smirking and walking off the stage.
“I’d like to thank my brother for such a warm introduction.” Minho said, his gaze briefly meeting Jungshin before focusing back on the audience. “His support means a lot to me.”
With that, Minho launched into the presentation he had meticulously prepared over the weeks. He glanced back at the crowd periodically, gauging their reactions.
When it came to crowd work and presentations, the youngest son probably came out on top, surpassing all his brothers, no matter how seasoned they thought they were. It was something even Park Hyunmin admired in the young vice president. Ofcourse, his presentation went off without a hitch, and the old Chairman’s smile conveyed nothing but approval.
As Minho concluded his speech, his eyes gravitated towards the back, Secretary Kim stood by the door, sharing a knowing glance with his superior. A silent task assigned amidst the bustle of the large room. Minho stepped aside to allow Jungshin onto the stage.
“Nuh-uh, don’t leave just yet,” Jungshin said, halting Minho’s descent from the stage. He flashed a scheming smile at his younger brother before turning back to the crowd.
“Before I begin.” Jungshin addressed the crowd of suits and flashes.
“I’d like to bring forth some issues within L Corp. and explain why certain individuals are unfit to lead our esteemed company.” Jungshin clicked the remote, and the screen illuminated with information he intended to reveal.
“As you see on the screen, this is the dishonesty within L Corp.”
A collective gasp swept through the room as the screen displayed a compilation of international bank accounts linked to slush funds siphoning off company profits over the years. Corruption. The display of which made the journalists jump up. Flashes lighting up the room.
The name on these accounts was Lee Min—Jungshin.
The eldest grandson’s smile faltered, his eyes widening at the sight. He instantly shot a glance at Minho, who was barely containing a snicker behind the finger that pretended to swipe the tip of his nose.
The cameras flashed even more furiously as the audience reacted.
“Turn it off!” Lee Mooyoung shouted at the technician.
“Stop the reporters!” Another voice yelled.
Security struggled to contain the uproar as reporters, who were paid off to capture the downfall of Lee Jungshin by a certain chairman, scrambled to capture the unfolding drama. The room grew chaotic as the eldest Lee grandson stumbled in his attempts to manage the situation.
“You should’ve proofread your information, brother. An amateur mistake.” Minho taunted with a smirk.
Hearing the sinister tone in his voice, Jungshin lost his composure, lunging at Minho and grabbing him by the collar. The younger man made no effort to resist, and the reporters’ excitement only escalated. Even the shareholders intervened, trying to stop the cameras and get Jungshin off the stage.
“You fool, get out right now!” Mooyoung roared, pulling his son away from Minho.
Minho’s gaze shifted to the Chairman, who remained calm, his hands clasped around his cane. The old man’s smile suggested he was thoroughly entertained by the spectacle before him. By the joke of a meeting.
A good businessman doesn't give away his plans. But a conniving one knows just when to exploit an already dirty scheme.
Another lesson the Chairman had instilled into Minho.
The plan went awry somewhere. The slush funds opened to disqualify Minho were suddenly pinned on the older brother. As were more things.
Lee Jungshin became an scapegoat. Sacrificed to the media, the public. A punishment he deserved for his stupid action. Not only did he get heat for internal corruption, but for his reputation amongst the businessmen plummeted for his whistle-blowing.
Jungshin didn’t usually fall for such things. Blinded by envy and his ego. For the greed he didn’t realize he had. For Y/N who he didn’t particularly have any interest for, simply wanting to tear her away from Lee Minho.
Yet, he fell easily into the trap the youngest had laid out for him. Lee Minho had always been good at outwitting Jungshin.
And there went his competition.

The heavy zipped duffle bag thudded against the ground, sliding to a halt. The young assistant looked up at the Chairman, who stood tall with his imposing presence, Secretary Cha behind him, cradling a bundle of Minho.
“It was money that you wanted wasn’t it? Take it, it’s your price for giving me a son.” Chairman Lee said, his voice carrying a note of disdain.
The young mother reached forward, her fingers working the zipper of the black bag, revealing wads of neatly bundled cash. Her eyes, that had scanned the money with a wide, gleaming gaze, hardened as she looked up, fury etched on her face.
“You think I’m selling you my son?” She spat, rising to her full height.
The Chairman regarded her with a faint smile, slightly amused at the sudden boldness in her demeanor.
“Isn’t that what you wanted? To be set for life?”
The young assistant fell silent, her gaze shifting to the baby, who had just been discharged from the hospital and was now making soft, innocent coos.
“You can take him. But you have to pay me every month.” She dared to demand, her gaze glaring, but voice trembling with a mix of defiance and desperation.
The motherly gaze in her eyes vanished. Sold to the temptations of money.
“Hah! Wasn’t that easy Secretary Cha?” Chairman Lee chuckled, as he glanced back at his secretary before turning his attention back to the mother of his child.
“Fine. Every month—”
“The same amount.” She insisted, cutting him off.
The Chairman hesitated for a moment, then nodded with a smile.
“Agreed.”
“And I’m not selling my son. I know he’ll be grateful for growing up in a wealthy home.” She muttered, turning back to the duffle bag, her hands trembling as she worked to close it.
The Chairman nodded as if he understood her words, though his gaze remained indifferent. As he prepared to leave, she stopped him once more.
“His name is Minho.”
The Chairman did not turn but remained by the door, his gaze fixed on the child and his secretary.
“You’ll get your payment for giving me Minho.” He said over his shoulder, his tone dropping.
As they exited, leaving the mother alone in the church aisle, the old man glanced at the baby in Secretary Cha’s arms.
“You’re a fighter, aren’t you, Minho?” He said with a chuckle, sliding into the backseat of his car as he took the infant into his arms.
“You fought so hard to survive, yet your mother abandoned you. Lured by the sight of a few stacks of change. You poor child.” The baby stirred in his arms, eliciting another chuckle from the Chairman.
A swelling in his heart took form. Perhaps he was truly getting old, becoming unexpectedly emotional over the glimmer in his youngest’s eyes.
“Sir, what should we do about her?” Secretary Cha asked, his eyes meeting the darkened expression of Chairman Lee through the rear-view mirror.
“Give all her payment at once.” The Chairman ordered coldly, his gaze shifting to the monastery that grew distant as they drove away.
“Every month. That wench must be kidding me.” He mumbled to himself, clearly irked by the thought, by the boldness in her gaze that could one day become a threat to him in the future.
It’s best to nip these kinds of things in the bud.
───────────────────────
Secretary Kim was only a rookie, yet he was doing tasks that no one on his level even heard of.
The young man didn’t think he’d be assigned to Lee Minho out of all the executives in the company.
Lee Minho was the Vice President of his department, just a few steps away from the President. And everyone knew that high-ranking executives like him had skeletons in their closets, and Minho was no exception. Yet, despite his newness and uncertainty, Kim Yongguk had found himself into some of those secrets, which his superior revealed with surprising candor.
Lee Minho was charming. And the young secretary was easily impressed.
Kim Yongguk took his tasks seriously, but still, wet behind the ears. Nothing compared to Secretary Cha who had eyes and ears everywhere. An extension of the founder of L. Corporation.
Secretary Kim hurried into Minho’s office, having knocked quickly on the door. Minho looked up from his desk with a narrowed gaze, taking in the sight of his young secretary who looked frantic almost.
“This was on my desk this morning,” Yongguk announced, handing over a long envelope. It bore no name or additional information, just a written label.
To: Lee Minho
Immediately the young vice president was able to recognize the handwriting that belonged to Secretary Cha.
Minho opened the envelope, revealing a resume. An outdated one from years and years ago.
His gaze froze at the headshot photo attached to the top corner of the paper. It was a photograph of an ordinary woman, nothing special, a darker haired woman, plain and simple.
But what caught his eye was the cross around her neck.
His throat felt dry.
Minho’s fingers tightened around the paper, his expression darkening. The Chairman’s message was clearly received. He had sent this information without any intention of hiding it was from him. Yet, this revelation only fueled Minho’s anger. The fact that his grandfather had chosen to reveal this now, and in such an indirect manner, was maddening.
For years, Minho had believed he was the product of an affair between Lee Doyoung and a maid who had once worked at their residence.
All his life, he’d paid the price of that.
That belief had shaped his actions, his quest for revenge, and the intricate schemes he had woven. Yet one simple piece of paper shattered that reality.
Everything stemmed from a big, fat lie.
He felt disoriented, infuriated, confused. Stuck in a maze that got more and more twisted at each new discovery.
Why was his grandfather going through such lengths to hide who he was, yet ironically chose to reveal it all now? It was as if the Chairman had purposely chosen this exact moment to pull the curtain back, fully aware that Minho, upon discovering the truth, would confront him immediately.
The timing seemed deliberate and strategic, designed to provoke a reaction, or perhaps to manipulate Minho’s next moves.
The double doors to the Chairman’s study burst open with a force that made the hinges rattle. Minho stormed in, his face a mask of fury, his grip tight around the envelope he had received. There was no need for formality or politeness, he was done with games and pretense.
He flung the envelope onto the table in front of the Chairman, causing it to scatter across the desk, its contents clattering against the ceramic cup and plate of the old man’s drink. The Chairman remained unflinching, his demeanor unchanged despite the storm brewing in front of him. Although inwardly, he was slightly taken aback by such aggressive behavior from the usual calm headed man.
Surely the grandson had the right to act out in such a circumstance, especially when the Grandfather himself had sent him the new information, luring Minho to him.
“Ah, I see you got the envelope.” The old man said casually, crossing one leg over the other as if the commotion were a mere inconvenience.
Minho hated that unreadable look in his grandfather’s eyes. The way he smiled like an absolute psychopath in a situation like this pissed him off even more.
“Grandfather.” Minho’s voice was edged with barely contained fury.
“I’m tired of playing this game. Please tell me, what does this woman have to do with me?”
The youngest son had already figured it out himself.
She was his birth mother.
But he wanted to hear it from the old man himself.
“Take a seat for this. I don’t like when we’re not speaking on the same level.” Chairman Lee said, gesturing toward the empty chair across from him.
The younger man, barely restraining his anger, pulled the chair back with an almost aggressive force.
“Aren’t you in search of your birthmother? You seemed like you were stuck, so I helped out a little.” The old man’s voice was even, nonchalant.
“If you knew, why couldn’t you just tell me from the get-go?” The response was cold and harsh, frustrations boiling over.
“You seemed like you were enjoying snooping around. Sneaky schemes you’ve cooked up unbeknownst to anyone. Besides, you never asked me.” Chairman Lee’s tone was dismissive, observing how Minho pieced together the new thoughts that arose in his mind.
The old man had always been quick to catch onto things, and somewhere deep down, Minho was aware there were chances he had already gotten caught. Snooping, sneaking.
Minho’s eyes narrowed, his voice low and cold. “Would you have told me?”
“Well I just did, didn’t I?” The Chairman laughed, his amusement barely concealed.
But of course the young man across from him was not amused in the slightest, his fists balled into tight clenches.
“That woman who gave birth to you abandoned you.”
The reveal of such a detail was something Minho had figured, his own conclusion he had come up with over the years of being degraded in the Lee family. Of not having a maternal figure watching over him.
“And Yoon Sooyeon? Why was I fooled into believing that she was my birth mother all my life?” Minho’s voice was a mix of confusion and betrayal.
The youngest son felt his face flush, skin hot from the sheer anger he felt overwhelmed with.
The Chairman sipped his drink calmly. “Ah, just a part of the story, to make it easier for you.”
Minho couldn’t help but laugh at how ridiculous that sounded.
“Story? Easier for me?” His tone was incredulous.
“Nothing was ever easy for me, grandfather. I spent all my life fighting for my place. Was it all just a means of entertainment for you? A story?” There was anger laced with every word that came out of the young man’s mouth, teeth clenching.
Finally, the old man’s smile faltered, seeing the look in his youngest’s eyes.
“I didn’t want it to be hard for you son, believe me. It was the best I could.”
Minho’s frustration reached its peak, repeating the words in a low tone to himself, still unable to process everything that he heard.
“The best you could do…” He bit his bottom lip, struggling to control his rage.
“I needed to do anything to get you into the family without anyone asking any questions. I couldn’t abandon you too, son. I didn’t want to be like your mother.”
At those words, the youngest son’s eyes darted back to meet the Chairman, freezing at the soft gaze he gave him.
Minho’s expression relaxed, confusion and disbelief flooding over him.
His mind worked automatically.
Yoon Sooyeon was not his mother. His mother didn’t have any relation to Lee Doyoung.
His mother was a young assistant that worked under Secretary Cha. An assistant who had ties with the chairman.
The pieces fell together like a complete puzzle.
His gaze wandered, getting teary on their own as he stared at the man across from him in utter disbelief.
With shock. In denial.
Yet, he finally understood.
The realization almost crashed down on him.
And it was not what he had anticipated. Not even close to anything he thought of.
“No...There’s no way right? T-that’s ridiculous.” Minho whispered, his voice cracking. The weight of the truth was almost unbearable.
He attempted to laugh, but it ceased almost immediately when he looked across at his grandfather.
No.
His father.
Minho pushed his chair back, it’s dragging, loud against the tiles, hand running through his hair. While The Chairman watched Minho with a mix of pity and frustration.
“You don’t have to beat yourself up over it. I’ve always been on your side. Nothing will change.”
His head swiveled up from his thoughts at the old man’s words.
“Nothing will ever be the same grand—” He stopped, unable to fully articulate the depth of his emotions.
At what to even address this man as.
The distraught Vice President didn’t even hear what the old man said next, his ears ringing.
It had always been a game for the old man, and he had happily gone along with it without knowing. Doing everything he was told by the same man who told him nothing.
The Old Man looked after him, supported him, and was always doting on him for his own selfish reasons. Minho was just a pawn and the chairman was just a senile old man who played puppeteer in this sick survival of the fittest game he controlled.
“You’re just like me. This little thing won’t be able to hinder you. You’re a Lee. You’re my son.” The Chairman said with a finality that was meant to be reassuring.
Meant to break Minho free of those useless emotions that held him back from truly embodying a greedy, corrupt, yet capable head of L. Corporation.
The perfect businessman.
But the old man didn’t realize just what kind of damage he had done to the young man sitting across from him. Minho’s whole world came crashing down, who he was, the driving factor behind his need to rise higher. The drive to take revenge against those who looked down on him.
And suddenly had no plan at all.
Minho was going to crash.
He was going to fall like he had feared. Perhaps losing everything he had put at stake.
The woman he loved flashed in his eyes.
He couldn’t crash. He didn’t want to lose the only thing that appeared to be true in his life.
Minho didn’t want to be a Lee.
“No.”
He spoke out in a whisper, his cold voice looking up at the face of his so-called father.
“I’m nothing like you. I never will be.” He leaned over the table, his voice low and filled with pain.
The old man’s surprise was evident as his youngest son glared into his eyes.
“You can take L Corp. and rot with it. From today, I’m no longer a Lee.” He almost growled before pushing the table back, its contents clattering, and storming out.
“Wait. Min—”
The door slammed to a close behind a furious Minho, who kept walking, the anger that resonated through his body driving his legs to take long strides out of the residence he never wanted to look back at.
By the time the Chairman’s son got to his car, his legs finally gave out, and he stumbled forward. His figure leaned against the cold of the vehicle, grounding himself.
Minho’s eyes got teary and he suddenly wanted to cry.
The youngest son of the Chairman didn’t think he would be this affected by the truth.
He didn’t think it would stop him from reaching his goals.
But he stood there. Disgusted.
By himself, by the chairman, by the things he had happily done at the command of the man who was the reason behind his misery.
He was disgusted by his birth-mother, the woman who folded to money, who didn’t even try to raise him.
His phone rang, and he fumbled with it, wondering why his hands were shaking, why his vision was blurry.
“Hi!” Y/N’s cheerful voice came through the speaker, and Minho’s heart ached even more.
“Y-Y/N…” His voice was barely a whisper, the tears finally falling uncontrollably.
In the study, the Chairman sat frozen, his mind racing. He had been wrong about Minho. He had thought he knew his son, that Minho would be unshaken by the truth.
That Minho was like him.
But the young man’s reaction had revealed a depth of vulnerability and disappointment that the old man hadn’t anticipated. The glare he’d seen in Minho’s eyes before he stormed out, flashed in the old father’s eyes.
His teary expression and his final words, made the old man hold his heart.
No.
Minho couldn’t abandon him. He wasn’t allowed to.
The old man’s heart pounded, a sudden pain gripping him.
His faithful secretary entered the room, with even more disappointing news.
“Lee Joohyeon has returned. And he’s demanding he be put in Jungshin’s position.”
Those pathetic fools. One didn’t have good timing, and one didn’t have timing at all.
“I can’t leave my company, my child, to any of those idiots. I’d rather do what Minho said and rot with it.” He muttered, his unease palpable.
The secretary, suddenly noticed the Chairman’s distress, slowly leaning in.
“Sir, are you okay?”
The old man looked up, a pained expression on his face. His voice was tinged with a mix of fear and confusion.
“Why does my heart hurt?”
───────────────────────
Y/N entered the apartment, the dim light of the setting sun filtering through the closed curtains, casting long shadows across the room. The silence was heavy, almost oppressive, as she made her way into the living room, her heart pounding with concern.
Minho’s earlier call had been brief, his voice wavering with an urgency that had sent her racing over, leaving her worried and anxious.
And there Minho sat. In the middle of the dark room. The only light came from the sliver of sunset peeking through the curtains, casting a glow on him. His posture was hunched, his head buried in his hands, as if he was lost in a storm of thoughts or trapped in his worry.
“Minho…” Y/N whispered, her voice barely breaking the silence as she drew closer.
She stood before him, her heart aching at the sight of him so vulnerable. Her presence seemed to rouse him from his daze, and he looked up at her, his eyes red-rimmed and cheeks glistening with drying tears. A sight that made her brows knit, expression contorting with concern.
Minho’s lips quivered as her presence. Without a word, he reached out, pulling her into a tight embrace. His body shook slightly as he buried his face into her standing figure, seeking solace in her warmth. Y/N didn’t say anything, a few seconds of surprise, before she wrapped her arms around him, her fingers threading through his hair, offering him the comfort he so desperately needed.
And they stayed like that. Settling into a silence so serene they were close to getting lost in it.
In the stillness, Minho’s cell phone, abandoned atop his discarded blazer, vibrated intermittently. The screen lit up with a cascade of missed texts and calls.
He sniffed, and Y/N gently pulled away, sitting on the coffee table directly across from Minho and edged closer. Her gaze, filled with worry, stayed locked on him. Minho wiped his eyes, struggling to regain composure, but his earlier distress still hung heavy in the air.
“What happened?” Her voice was soothing, her soft eyes searching his for answers.
He dropped his head for a moment before looking up.
“You know I’m an illegitimate child, don’t you?” He asked instead, his voice was low but clear, as if he hadn’t been crying at all.
Y/N blinked, her mouth slowly closing in silent acknowledgment.
Of course she knew.
She knew the moment she had witnessed his father strike him in what was meant to be a private moment. She knew when he had uttered those words of not choosing to be a Lee.
She had seen the shared looks between his brothers, the guarded expressions of his mother, sometimes tinted with disgust.
She noticed the forced smiles from his relatives.
But Y/N had never let it matter. She simply didn’t care.
Instead, she cupped his jaw with one hand, tilting his face up to look at her with an intense gaze.
“Does it matter?” She asked, her smile gentle and reassuring.
He managed a thin smile, his hand brushing lightly over hers. “It does to everyone else.”
He muttered more to himself than to her. Taking both her hands into his, he placed them on his lap and pulled her closer.
“...Would you still love me if I’m not a Lee?”
Confusion flickered in her eyes, as she tried to understand where this was coming from.
“Will you stay with me, even if I leave L Corp. and the Lee family behind?”
Y/N seemed to finally understand, her expression softened, and she smiled at him, nodding almost immediately.
“I won’t leave. I’ll love you even if you’re just Minho.”
Her words seemed to bring a sense of calm to him, and he smiled softly at her, his grip tightening in relief. But still certain worries lingered.
“It might ruin your reputation. Your family might hate it.”
She let out a soft laugh, shaking her head. “My family doesn’t care about things like that.”
“They’ll tell me I have to leave you. They’ll hide you away.” He retorted, trying to make her reconsider.
That there was still time. That she could still get away from the mess of a man Minho was.
“You won’t get rid of me that easily.” She said with a full laugh instead, an attempt to bring back the cheery look in his eyes that she suddenly missed seeing.
“I’m scared I won’t let you leave even if you wanted to.” He whispered, his gaze fixed on their intertwined hands.
She leaned forward and kissed his forehead, her gesture just enough to tell him that she wasn’t going anywhere, not even if her father told her to.
But Y/N knew her father wasn’t that kind of man. He was one of the last people who would stoop to such low blows.

Lee Joohyeon looked around, waiting for his grandfather. Instead, Secretary Cha emerged from the Old Man’s room.
“Chairman Lee isn’t feeling well. He’s gone to rest.”
“Well, did you tell him what I said? Jungshin lost his chance. Someone has to step up to clean up his mess.” Joohyeon spat.
The secretary inhaled deeply, then exhaled silently before stepping aside to let the grandson enter. Joohyeon did so without hesitation.
The old man, lying in bed while attempting to get ahold of Minho, didn’t even notice when Joohyeon had entered. But once he did, his face contorted with a scowl, his frustration automatically grew at the sight of his second grandson.
“What the hell are you doing here? Didn’t Secretary Cha tell you that I have nothing to say to you?”
The tough-guy act Joohyeon had put on in the hall, faltered in the presence of the Chairman. He looked at him pleadingly almost.
“Grandfather, I just need one last chance. I can prove to everyone that I’m worthy.”
The Chairman laughed, making Joohyeon blink in confusion.
“Worthy? That’s why you killed Jae?” The Chairman watched as Joohyeon’s desperate gaze shifted to shock.
His eyes widened in horror and disbelief.
“What? You think I didn’t know? Ha! You fool. If you really were worthy, you would have covered your tracks better.”
Joohyeon clenched his fists to stop them from shaking. His mouth opened as he stammered.
“Grandfather, I-I didn’t mean to. It-it all happened so fast—I didn’t tell anyone.”
The old man shook his head, leaning back into the grand headboard of his bed.
“You didn’t tell anyone, but it was easy for others to figure it out. Take me for example. I caught you right away from the dash cam footage.”
The mention of the car cameras left Joohyeon silent, struck by shock and realization. He hadn’t even considered that. He had been so preoccupied with the yacht CCTV and the threats he received about it that he overlooked Jae’s car as evidence. He had been lucky it was his grandfather who caught him.
“This fool. He had no idea… and he thought he was worthy.” The Chairman said coldly, more to himself than to the distraught grandson.
The old man’s sharp gaze scrutinized Joohyeon.
“Tell me, have you done anything about the person behind the messages yourself? Or did Minho handle it, like always?”
Joohyeon hadn’t realized the Chairman knew about that as well, but he should have expected it. Silence was his only answer, and the old man nodded as if he had anticipated that response.
“See? Do you see why Minho is more worthy than you?”
There it was again.
The comparison between Minho and Joohyeon was a sharp, familiar sting. Joohyeon felt his anger rise but remained silent, knowing better than to challenge the Chairman. Instead, his head hung in shame as he exited the room.
The door closed behind him, and he could hear the old man’s laughter echoing in the silence of the hallway. Joohyeon’s fists clenched tightly, turning red with anger.
Minho seemed to be the favored one, but Joohyeon was the legitimate Lee between the two. And if people were to find out…the media could make an opportunity for Joohyeon to be a wild card in the succession game.
───────────────────────
The youngest son wasn’t sure when he had fallen asleep. The sun had completely set, and the city was aglow with night lights and busy cars. The living room was quiet, illuminated only by a lamp in the corner. He sat up on the couch, still groggy, trying to figure out the time.
His phone, turned off and silent, rested on the coffee table where Y/N had sat earlier. Minho looked around for her. He heard her in the kitchen, the water running briefly before it was turned off. Glancing over, he saw her behind the kitchen counter, the dining table nearly set. She noticed him sitting up and watching her, and her surprised expression softened into a loving smile.
“You’re awake!” Y/N exclaimed, placing a pitcher of water on the white table before stepping down from the raised kitchen and dining area to join him in the living room.
Minho returned a smile, nodding. He reached an arm out to her, for her to take his hand. She grinned and did almost naturally, sliding onto the couch next to him.
“How long was I asleep?” He asked.
Y/N tilted her head, thinking for a moment, her gaze drifting to the ceiling. “Two, three hours? Not very long though.”
He nodded, understanding, and then looked at her with the same affection she had shown him. Her lips thinned into another soft smile, fingers tracing against his jaw.
“Should we get married?” She asked.
This time she wasn’t kidding, nor was there a hint of mischief in her eyes. Only a warm and determined smile on her lips.
“Let’s get married.” He answered, smiling back at her.
She moved to kneel on the couch, facing him, both her hands finally cupping his face in her palms.
“Tomorrow. I’ll leave work early.” She stated, confident he was as ready as she was.
And he was.
He nodded softly, wrapping his hands around her and pulling her into his chest.
“I love you.” He whispered.
Y/N melted into his arms, feeling at home, at ease. Her lips easily chased after his into a deep kiss that left them desperate for more. Fingers raking, tugging in attempts to sear marks and kisses. Excited for what was to come, for the long night celebrating.
Suddenly both of them couldn’t wait until the sun rose. Couldn’t wait until tomorrow afternoon.
The promised time was still hours away. And though they had to eventually part, their limb’s reluctantly untangling from one another’s warmth, the thought of their upcoming union made the youngest son nearly forget his distress, almost forgetting the secret of his origins as Chairman Lee’s illegitimate child.
Almost.
Minho stared at the missed calls from his “grandfather,” dozens of them. Clearly, the last conversation hadn’t conveyed his message. Leaning against the car door, parked just a few feet away from the marriage bureau where he was to meet Y/N, he pushed aside any irritation or stress from the Lee family’s demands.
Especially when Minho spotted his bride-to-be approaching him gracefully in a formal white dress. It wasn’t the grand wedding gown he might have imagined for her, the one she would’ve picked out as she walked down the aisle to him. Yet still, Y/N looked stunning. Absolutely breathtaking. It hugged her in all the right places, flowed elegantly with the wind, almost like in the movies. If she wasn’t standing right in front of him, giggling at his reaction, he might have thought she was an angel. Seeing his intense gaze on her, Y/N’s cheeks flushed, and she suddenly felt shy. The way he looked at her, as if she was the only person in the world, made her feel a mix of exhilaration and nervousness. She shifted slightly, a soft blush spreading across her face.
“I tried to look like a bride. Do I look—”
“Absolutely beautiful.” Minho cut in, smiling broadly.
Y/N’s smile only grew wider as she took her purse in one hand and reached for his hand with the other, their fingers linking together.
“Shall we get married?”
───────────────────────
Joohyeon anxiously shook his leg up and down, glancing repeatedly toward the entrance of the private restaurant room where he waited, taking another quick sip of water from the glass set in front.
The door slid open, and Joohyeon’s head snapped up, standing to his feet, his expression a mix of hope and apprehension. Park Hyunmin entered, his smile friendly but his eyes sharp. He gestured for Joohyeon to take a seat.
“Long time no see Lee Joohyeon.” The older man greeted, settling into his chair as Joohyeon sits across from him.
They are surrounded by an assortment of side dishes already set on the table.
“I appreciate you coming on such short notice, Director Park.” Joohyeon began, about to pour a drink for the man, before Park Hyunmin stopped him.
“Ah, I won’t be staying long, so let’s skip the drinks.” He lightly covered the glass.
Joohyeon nodded, trying to calm his nerves. “Sorry to drag you out here, but there’s something you need to know.”
Park Hyunmin raised an eyebrow, curiosity piqued.
“Yes, you mentioned it concerns my daughter’s…well-being.
Joohyeon took a deep breath and pulled out a brown paper envelope, sliding it across the table to Park Hyunmin. It doesn’t take long for Director Park to pull out the contents from inside, brows narrowed in confusion.
“Who the hell is this?” He asked, turning the photo toward Joohyeon.
Joohyeon braced himself, letting out a deep exhale.
“That is Yoon Sooyeon. Minho’s birth mother.”
A tense silence settled between them. Park Hyunmin’s face shifted from confusion to understanding, realizing the implications of the revelation, automatically understanding what that meant.
A lot of things were starting to make sense.
However, what didn’t make sense to the older man was why Minho’s so-called older brother sat here revealing such a well-kept family secret.
“And you’re telling me this because…?” Park Hyunmin’s voice was flat, as if he already suspected the information.
Joohyeon, taken aback, struggled to understand the older man’s reaction.
“Did you know that Lee Minho is an illegitimate son? A maid’s son?”
The director’s gaze moved to the alcohol. The situation called for a drink. But he controlled the urge, maintaining his composure.
“I didn’t know.” His tone was curt.
“If this information gets out, it could ruin your reputation. Think of your daughter.” Joohyeon strained.
The father fell silent as if he was thinking. But then erupted with a loud laugh that stunned Joohyeon, the sound echoing in the private dining room.
“This information is your family secret. I know I won’t leak it. Are you going to?”
Joohyeon’s face reddened with frustration, unable to come up with a suitable retort. And Park Hyunmin only sighed. He had once thought that Joohyeon was very capable, that he would go places. But here he was now, spewing nonsense.
He shook his head, clearly unimpressed.
“Also I must ask this.” Y/N’s father tossed the photo of the maid back into the pile of documents Joohyeon brought, raising a brow.
“Illegitimate?” He made a face.
As if he were disgusted. But it wasn’t because of Minho. But because of the man who sat in front of him.
“Do people still discriminate because of that?” He looked baffled, glancing at the baby picture of Minho amongst the pile.
“And just because his mother was a maid, doesn’t mean he’s incapable of doing a good job.”
Joohyeon’s expression was one of bewilderment as he listened to the older man. Park Hyunmin continued, his tone dismissive.
“Tell me this.” He leaned back into his seat, one leg crossing over the other, genuinely asking almost.
“You and all your other brothers are…legitimate children. Exactly what have you achieved?”
Joohyeon felt his cheeks heat up. Flushed in embarrassment. In anger. Yet he couldn’t even react, because what the man had said were true.
The other brothers. A dead druggie, a self-appointed outcast, a whistle-blowing thief, and…a murderer.
“My daughter might seem free spirited, but she’s a very good judge of character. Seeing as how she’s only stuck to Minho’s side since she met him, just shows he’s doing something right.” Park Hyunmin chuckled, slowly putting together the paper documents neatly back into the envelope.
“Also, it’s not a big secret family secret, nor that it matters, but I’m not a Park by birth. I was adopted, but look at me now.” Y/N’s father said with a wide grin, standing up and looking down at Joohyeon, who had dropped his head in shame.
“Let’s pretend we never met tonight hmm?” Director Park patted Joohyeon on the shoulder before making his exit.
Lee Joohyeon remained frozen, stunned and silent, drowning in his shame and confusion. In the anger that brimmed within him.

The youngest son of the Lee family was possessive.
And he wouldn’t deny that either. Although he couldn’t say for sure when it took life, unaware of how the subconscious possessiveness surfaced.
Minho never truly had anything to call his own, so it made sense that he wanted to protect and claim what little he had.
The youngest son had to make sure others were aware that they had crossed him. Had messed with what belonged to him.
The sixteen year old felt desire for the first time.
He didn’t want to admit or even acknowledge that he felt attracted to the snobby Y/N Park.
There was no way.
He had always thought he was too good. Out of her league. Even though that was absolute nonsense. He denied it, and would do so for years to come, before his feelings had him cornered.
But the first time he felt protective of her was when he was sixteen.
Possessive of the girl he claimed was nothing but a headache. He had to admit that at least.
The boys in their grade loved to kiss up to her, try to befriend her, get on her good side. Of course, she was able to see past all that and didn’t entertain them one bit. An attribute of hers that Minho actually admired.
Growing up, the youngest son always maintained his mask. Had to make sure, no one knew the real him. But that began to crack the moment Minho met Y/N. And it continued to crumble away slowly.
Even without Y/N there sometimes, he had his weak moments. Those moments he needed to make sure the people who thought they could step all over him, knew that there were consequences they’d have to pay.
Minho stared at the class clown, the curly haired brunette that lived up to his title. The boy had stared back at him with a smug smile on his lips, unafraid of the number one in school. High and mighty.
Minho had overheard him talking to his group of friends. Bad-mouthing Y/N. Her looks, her status, her grades. The same ones who would kiss her feet if she asked.
It was a simple question.
“Can you say all that in front of her?” Minho’s voice was calm, but there was a steely edge to it that made the boys around him uneasy.
The clown had gotten a little offended, embarrassed in front of his friends. The school bell rang, punctuating the tension in the air, prompting the rest of the boys to scatter back inside. Minho laughed, but was pulled back by the brunette.
“You seem to care an awful lot about that bitch.” He retorted with a smirk, crossing his arms defiantly as he leaned against the rooftop railing, lower back flush against the metal.
Minho tilted his head, eyeing him up and down once before his demeanor shifted subtly, a flicker of annoyance crossing his face.
A flicker of evil.
Without another word, he shoved the class clown, catching him off guard. Fear flashed in the boy’s eyes as he stumbled backward, teetering dangerously close to the edge.
“What the fuck! Pull me up. Pull me up now!” The boy’s panicked voice echoed against the concrete walls, carrying with the afternoon air as his feet flailed, dangling over the edge.
Minho’s grip tightened on the boy’s wrist, his voice calm yet laced with authority, slight groan. “I don’t like two-faced people.”
“I’m sorry. I’m really sorry! Please! Please don’t let go!” The class clown’s voice trembled, desperation evident in his pleas as he clung to Minho’s arm, his sleeve.
“If you wanna dance and be a clown, go ahead. But quit saying shit that doesn’t make me laugh. Got it?” Minho’s brow furrowed slightly, both at his words and the strain he felt from the pull, his grip unyielding as he held the boy suspended over the rooftop.
“Yes! I got it! Please help me!” The boy’s voice cracked, his face contorted with fear and tears.
With a strained effort, Minho managed to pull the brunette back onto the rooftop, the latter’s legs shaking as he collapsed to the solid ground in relief.
But he only let out a shaky scream as he looked back at Minho, scrambling to his feet, his eyes wide with disbelief and fear as he rushed back inside without looking back.
Minho leaned against the railing, watching the metal door slam shut. His heart pounded with a mix of adrenaline and a gnawing sense of unease. He had acted impulsively, driven by a protective instinct he hadn’t fully understood until now.
He dangled some kid off a roof because he spoke badly about Y/N.
What would happen if someone had hurt her?
The answer chilled him to the core.
He’d probably kill them.
And he was okay with that thought.
───────────────────────
Y/N stared at their wedding bands on their ring fingers, the marriage certificate nestled like a cherished treasure in the transparent folder she held close to her chest.
“Is it truly that unbelievable?” Minho finally broke the silence that had enveloped them in the front seats of his parked car, gazing at his new wife with a mix of wonder and amusement.
Y/N had been admiring their hands side by side, admiring the wedding rings Minho had remembered to prepare, for the past five minutes, raised in front of them.
“I’m finally your wife. It actually is hard to believe.” She admitted, her voice filled with joy.
Minho smiled warmly, his right hand patting her head before his left intertwined his fingers with hers. Bringing them to his lips and giving her knuckles a soft kiss.
“You’re stuck with me for life, darling. Death is the only escape you have from me, I’m afraid.” He chuckled, teasing gently.
“I’ll haunt you even in the afterlife.” She laughed, with a roll of her eyes before leaning in to meet his lips for a sweet, sensual kiss.
As she pulled out of their kiss, her eyes grew big, as if she suddenly remembered something.
“I have to brag to Jihoon about this.” She exclaimed, fishing her cell phone out of her purse to snap a quick photo, Minho watching in awe, letting her pose their intertwined hands for a picture.
Satisfied, she hit send and glanced back at him behind the wheel. Y/N inhaled deeply, taking in the pretty sight of her new husband.
“Now what? Do we go consummate our marriage?” She asked, giggles bubbling in her voice, mischief in her gaze.
Minho chuckled at her words, shaking his head before starting the car.
“I have something to show you.” His happy expression darkened, mirroring the mischievous look she had just seconds ago.
His words easily piqued Y/N’s curiosity, making her sit up with a sudden excitement.
The car eased out of the parking spot and onto the road. Perhaps Minho should’ve attached a “just married” sign behind it so everyone was aware that Y/N Park was his forever.
A cheesy idea, the stoic man had never imagined he would have come up with.
“Is it a surprise?” His new wife prodded, turning to look at him, but he only laughed, his eyes focused on the road.
“Is it a place?—Oh! Is it a gift?” Y/N continued, tugging at the fabric of his blazer sleeve, her excitement growing.
“You’ll see when we get there. Be patient.” He chuckled, stealing a glance at her.
A glance was enough.
His eyes flicked past her, to the window behind her.
His smile fell.
“...Death is the only escape you have from me, I’m afraid.”
Minho had never truly considered the consequences of his shady deeds and schemes. The actions he took in the shadows with little thought of what came next.
He had lived his life with a sense of invincibility, convinced that his cleverness and quick thinking would shield him from any fallout.
But perhaps now, he was finally going to pay a price.
It happened so fast. Too fast for the new husband to have enough time to react.
All he could do was stare at the oncoming headlights before the collision reverberated loudly through the darkening sky.
Then, silence descended, eerie and unsettling.
The evening sky seemed darker than usual as Minho’s car skidded across the road, spinning violently before crashing into the metal guardrail.
The white vehicle that had struck them lay a few feet away, front mangled, but the damage to Minho’s car was worse, smoke rising ominously.
The silence, eerie. Ringing.
Lee Minho slowly groaned, his head moving slowly against the leather seat, feeling the warmth of blood trickling down his skin. A sudden stinging pain washed over his entire body. There was a metallic tang of blood filling his nostrils, on his tongue. His eyes turned towards the woman who had been smiling beside him just moments ago, hazy vision trying to focus.
Y/N lay unnervingly quiet, face turned away.
Her white dress was now stained a deep, dark red. A crimson seep into the now tainted fabric.
A color that didn’t quite match the new bride.
The sound of blood dripping onto the floor mats echoed loudly in the silence with a faint rhythm. Minho opened his mouth to call out to her, but his voice failed him.
“Y/...N?” He managed to croak, his voice a strained whisper.
She was still.
She was silent.
“Y/N…”
Again. No response.
He tried again, a desperate plea this time, his body wracked with pain as he struggled to move. Attempting to reach over but failed. Tears welled up in his eyes and streamed down his cheeks unchecked.
His vision blurred, the edges growing hazy.
The other car, empty now, its driver vanished, stood abandoned at the scene. The sirens echoed in the distance, or perhaps they were closer, Minho couldn’t distinguish amidst the ringing in his ears.
No. This wasn’t how it was supposed to end.
His eyes drooped shut, consciousness slipping away.
The night enveloped him in its darkness.
Was this truly the end?

✧.* Word Count - 708
: ̗̀➛ No one ever thought that an outworld princess and an earthrealmer would be able to fall in love. No one ever believed that an earthrealmer and an outworlder would even be together in general. At least, that's what people thought hundreds of years ago. Sadly, some people to this day have that belief. That's why Y/N's sisters, Mileena and Kitana, have to help Y/N keep her and Tomas's relationship a secret.
: ̗̀➛ Y/N and Tomas met after the events of Shang Tsung's attempt at tyranny. It was like love at first sight. Tomas couldn't believe he had an actual princess fall for him and Y/N couldn't believe she had an earthrealmer fall for her. A regular nobody outworlder sure, but an earthrealmer?
: ̗̀➛ Y/N made it clear to Tomas from the start that not everyone was going to be supportive of their relationship. People with a more 'conservative' like mindset believed that earthrealmers and outworlders should not be together. Sadly, Y/N's mother was one of those people with that mindset.
: ̗̀➛ Even though Tomas wanted to scream out to all of the realms that he was with a princess, he understood Y/N and promised to be careful. Y/N feels very remorseful over the fact that she has to hide the man she loves from almost everyone, but she sadly has no choice. From the beginning, both of her sisters warned her about the consequences of hiding such a relationship, "Be careful sister, while you won't experience such harsh punishment, betraying the trust of mother and every one of outworld will feel much worse."
: ̗̀➛ Tomas treats Y/N with his utmost respect not only because she is a princess, but because she's a confident woman who is extremely skilled in Kombat. No woman has ever captured his heart like she has. When they first started talking, he felt like he was dreaming.
: ̗̀➛ During the battle with Shang Tsung, Y/N had a stereotype that all earthrealm men were cocky, gross, and annoying (those stereotypes mostly came from Johnny), but when she met Tomas, part of her didn't want to believe he was an earthrealm man because of how respectful and patient he was. She was instantly hooked to his gentle aura.
: ̗̀➛ Tomas would do anything for his woman. He loves her and would do anything to make her happy and satisfied. Whenever he sees her down because of the pressure she feels from hiding their relationship, he makes sure to reassure her;
"Everything will be fine, my love. If it is me you are worried about, don't be. But if it is about how your duties as a princess will be affected, do not think too deeply about it. You have the most important people on our side. You have your sisters, and I have my brother." Tomas said to her while placing both of his hands on the sides of her face. Tomas wished he could take away her sadness, but he sadly couldn't.
Y/N looked at Tomas with a soft look and wrapped her arms around his neck, looking for confront from her lover. "Oh Tomas, I'm so sorry I have to hide you. Every day I feel myself being torn apart because of it. I want to show our love to outworld and show them that earthrealmers are not our enemies." Y/N felt guilty for hiding her love from her world, but she knew it wasn't her fault. She always hopes that one day, she can help change everyone's mindset and show them that it is okay to love. But if Y/N needed to start with someone, it would have to be her mother.
Tomas felt the same sorrow. Even though he was aware of the reasons he had to remain hidden, he frequently found it intolerable. Tomas placed a small kiss on Y/N's forehead, "One day we will express our love to everyone with no regrets, my love."
It was a pledge made by both lovers to stick together till the end of time. Nobody could ever really pull each other apart. The strongest diamond couldn't match the strength of their love. They will one day openly and fearlessly show their heartfelt love for one another.

Welcome to New York II Ali Krieger x Reader
"Everybody here was someone else before And you can want who you want Boys and boys and girls and girls." Welcome To New York, Taylor Swift
masterlist I word count: 2901
The first thing you thought as you spotted Ali Krieger standing on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum was that this could have been a scene from a romantic comedy. A warm smile played on the defender’s lips while she had two cups of coffees in her hands:” Hi.” “Hi. Is this one for me or do you just need a lot of caffeine today”, you asked her teasingly.
Amused she shook her head: “No, the second one is for you. Ocean and Sloane let me sleep long enough today.” “Oh, lucky for me. Thank you so much.”, you answered grateful for her thoughtfulness. Still smiling Ali handed you your coffee: “You’re welcome.” Nervously you put a string of your hair behind your ear: “I hope you didn’t wait too long for me.” As much as you loved this city, the public transport was against you coming punctually to your coffee date with the equally busy soccer player today. Kindly she waved at you:” No, I didn’t. Do you want to keep standing here or walk around?” “Let’s walk around a bit.”, you decided.
Side by side you started walking, clearing her throat Ali admitted with a shy grin: “Alright. To be honest, I’m so glad Jason Sudeikis introduced us to each other at my last league game party.” “Oh, me too. Trust me. It was nice to get a look inside a soccer team.”, you agreed with her. Curiously the older woman looked at you:” As inspiration for your upcoming leading role in the female ted lasso spin off?” “You can never have enough inspiration. And to be honest, I’m a bit of a perfectionist, so I want to portray my role as realistically as possible.”, you declared slightly blushing.
Playfully the defender pouted: “Oh, and I hoped you were really interested in me as a person and not only in the soccer player part of my personality.” “Not at all. I think the soccer player part is impressive but it’s not the most interesting part about you.”, you told her. “Oh really?” The blush on your cheeks intensified: “Maybe your good looks were also a part of it.” “And the glasses of wine we shared.", she winked at you. This comment made you chuckle:” I can only say that they definitely kept the conversation going.”
“Not only that.”, Ali added grinning hinting at what happened as the night turned over into the early morning, the time in which the never sleeping city was buzzing with life and excitement and the sexual attraction between you could not been denied any longer. “Ali!”
“What? It’s true.”, the football player shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. You scoffed: “You’re terrible.” “Yes, but you don’t mind it.”, she observed. Laughing you confessed: “Actually, I kinda like it.” “I can tell.”, Ali nodded satisfied. “I’m sorry.” “Don’t be.”, the defender whispered. Elegantly you changed the topic: “It’s really beautiful today. The weather is perfect.”
Ali let her gaze wander over the autumnal scenery of the Central Park. The yellowing leaves were contrasting against the blue sky. “Agreed. New York in fall is stunning.“, she smiled. “It is.“, you agreed, taking in the crisp air. “Have you always lived in New York?“, Ali asked, genuine curiosity on her face. You shook your had and admitted; “Actually, no.“ The football players eyebrows knotted together; “No?“ With a sigh, your gaze dropped down to the fallen leaves on the ground; “Although I wished…“ “Tell me about it…“, Ali implored.
“Actually, I grew up in a conservative midwestern town.“, you started to explain. The defender grimaced, understanding the implication; “Oh. I’m sorry.“ “So coming to New York as a young adult did feel liberating in every way.“, you continued with a sad smile. Ali sipped on her coffee; “You know, a lot of my team mates who are queer had similar experiences.“ “Similar to some of my acting friends.“, you added. Ali shrugged with a sigh; “I’m always glad to hear when queer people from difficult places found a safe space.“
Nervously turning the cup in your hand, you asked; “You came out quite late to the public too, right?“ “Yes, that’s true. I thought it’s no one’s business but mine.“, she replied, nodding in thought. “What made you change your mind about it?“ “I realized that I can be of better use as a role model.“, she answered nonchalantly. You bit your lip, moved by revelation; “That’s very brave of you.“ Ali gave you a wry smile; “Thank you. But that wasn’t an easy decision for me either.“ “No, I understand that. Being queer wasn’t something that people in the movie industry liked to see a few years ago… sometimes even now.“, you told her. “I’m sorry.“ You shook your head; “It’s fine, really.“ “I guess we all have our struggles.“, the defender thought out lout. “Yes, we do.“
You were grateful when Ali finally offered; “Do you want to change the topic?“ Smiling, you gave her a soft nod to leave that topic behind; “Yes, please. I don’t want to ruin the mood during our little coffee date.“ “You couldn’t. I really enjoy talking to you.“, Ali said, carefully taking your hand into hers. “Same.“ „You do?“ “Yes, even though I told you about my sad little childhood.“, you laughed, your cheeks turning slightly pink as you wondered if you had overshared. But the smile on Alis face made that thought immediately disappear; “I appreciate it. Really. I’m glad you shared it.“
“That means a lot. So, what about you? Are you excited for the play offs?”, you asked her. The eyes of the defender lit up:” Yes, absolutely. I’m happy about every game I get to play.” “This must feel very special.”, you said, her excitement was infecting you too. “It is. If you’d like to get some more inspiration you could come.”, she offered you without hesitation.
Delighted you replied:” To your game? I’d love that.” “I’ll make sure you get some tickets.”, Ali continued happily. “Thank you.” The football player could not stop smiling: “You’re welcome.” For a second you looked worried:” You don’t think Ashlyn would mind, right?” “She won’t. Trust me.”, she reassured you quickly. Relieved you sighed:” Okay. Good.” Don’t worry about it. This is over.”, Ali confirmed. With a remark you tried to lighten up the mood again:” Yes, you made that very clear when you kissed me at the doorstep after your party.” “You asked about her.” “Sorry, I’m an idiot.”, you hid your face in her hands. Softly the football player disagreed with you: “No, you’re not.” “So that means I can kiss you? This time without alcohol breath?”, hopeful you looked up to her.
Amused Ali glanced at you:“You can always kiss me. Doesn’t matter if it’s on parties or in the Central Park.” “Although, I’d argue that this here is way more romantic.”, you chuckled. Expectantly she threw a look at you:” You can argue all you want but I’d rather you just kiss me.” “As you wish.”, you said before your lips met her who were waiting for that to happen since they departed from another.
After the training ended for the Gotham players Kristie let out an excited shriek: ”Oh my god, Ali ! I’m so jealous!” Confused the captain looked at her before the blonde showed her an article on her phone which contained photos of Ali and her new girlfriend kissing romantically in the Central Park. Laughing Kelley intervened:” Jealous about the fact that they had a romantic moment in the autumnal Central Park or that she made it into the news with that?” “Actually.. both.”, Kristie admitted.
Surprised the dark-haired defender mumbled:” Oh no, they wrote about us.” “What’s wrong? It’s a cute photo.”, Kelley furrowed her eyebrows. Enthusiastically Kristie reminded the older player: “Exactly and you’re allowed to have fun, Ali. You’re in your lemonade era, remember?” “Still, I wasn’t ready to go public with that yet. And I don’t know if she was either.”, Ali bit her lip. Empathetic Kelley put an arm around her shoulder:” I get that too.” “I need to call her.”, the captain announced.
You were on set, spending your lunch break with the other actors, when you noticed your phone ringing. Seeing Alis name appear on the display made your heart jump unexpectedly. Happily you took the call; “Ali, Hi.“ “Hi.“, she replied. The tone of her voice made you frown; “What’s wrong? You sound a bit upset.“ The football player sighed as if to brace herself; “Have you seen the article yet?“
You grabbed your coat and your bag and hurried away from the other actors, ignoring Jason Sudeikis’ sceptical glance; “Uhm no. What article? We were busy filming the new tv episodes.“ “They photographed as kissing.“, she came straight to the point. You froze in place; “Wait. What?“ “I’m sorry.“ Your thoughts began racing, bringing you back to how exhilarated you felt during your date. Even though Ali couldn’t see you, you still shook your head; “No, I’m sorry. If I hadn’t kissed you there… this article would not exist.“ “I don’t regret the kiss… really.“, the defender replied with determination in her voice. “But you wish to have been private a little longer, right? Which is understandable considering your divorce is still fresh…“, you were thinking out loud.
Ali confirmed your thoughts; “Actually, yes. How do you feel about it?“ You let a few seconds pass before admitting; “It feels very early.“ “I know.“ “But you should know that I’m serious with you.“, you added truthfully. Ali let out a small breath, relieved; “Me too. I want this.“ Your smile was back in place; “Jason gifted me an Ali Krieger Fan club - shirt. Should I wear it to one of your games or would this be too much?“ “Please do it. If they won’t let us have our privacy, we can at least have some fun with them.“ You could basically hear Ali grinning through the phone. “Exactly what I thought too.“ Ali laughed; “I like that. You get me.“
“So, I’ll see you at the stadium? Will Sloane and Ocean be there too?“, you asked. You had the chance to meet Alis kids briefly for a few times and they had already won your heart, so you got even more excited when you heard Ali say; “Yes.“ “Great. Because I already miss them while being away on the set.“ “I’m sure they’re happy to see you again too.“, Ali said, her voice soft. “And I miss you too of course.“, you added quickly. “I do hope that!“, the defender teased. “So much.“, you admitted and with a quick glance on your watch, you ended the call; “Okay, break is over. I’ll call you back tonight.“ “Talk to you later.“
The team of Gotham FC was buzzing with excitement as they stepped on the field in Portland. If the players won, this game they would make it to the final. Grinning Lynn Williams touched the shoulder of her captain: “I spotted your girl, Ali!” “Really?”, Ali wanted to know from the forward, trying to discover your face in the crowd at Providence Park. Equally thrilled Kristie pointed to the direction where you were standing: “Over there.” “Oh. She’s wearing the shirt.”, the defender observed with a hint of proudness in her voice.
Amused Kelley remarked: “Not subtle at all.” “It’s not supposed to be.”, Ali told her. A bright smile was on Kristie’s lips:“I love it, I’m obsessed.” “Of course, you like that, Kristie.”, Kelley threw in unsurprised. Clearing her throat Lynn drew all the attention on her:” Yeah, so that’s all cute and sweet but we’ve a game to win girls.” “Yes. We got to focus on that.”, Ali agreed with the forward. Gotham’s number 5 nodded along:” Yes, we’re making sure that Ali has another game to play before her retirement.”
“What retirement? With those many games, I guess you can’t really call it retirement yet.”, their captain corrected her smiling. Winking Kelley reminded the dark - haired player: “Yes, but it’s one game before the final.” “And I’d love to get to the final, girls.”, with a cheeky grin Ali glanced at each of their teammates to give them that extra motivation tonight.
The game was really close, and they had to went into overtime but thanks to Katie Stengels goal in the 107’ minute against the Portland Thorns, they won this important match and would make it to the Final. After the referee blew the final whistle, Kelley cheered loudly:” She’s not done yet!” “I’m not leaving without a trophy!”, Ali shouted happily. Ecstatic Kristie who played her first minutes after her injury in today’s game screamed: “We won, bitches!” “Who are you calling a bitch?”, Ali threw an eyebrow up at the blonde before the two and Kelley started to dance out their feelings. The words to describe their emotions would be found later, now was the time to just be in the moment and celebrate.
Meanwhile Sloane made her way through the soccer players:” Mummy!” “No more b-words here, Mewis!, Ali warned her fellow teammate before pulling her daughter into a hug, Hi, baby.”
“Okay, but your new girlfriend has a nice ass.“, Kristie commented with a smirk, disregarding Alis warning, while Sloane jumped into her mums arms; “You won!“ “Mewis!“, Ali yelled before turning back to her daughter and agreed with a much softer voice; “Yes, we won. That means mum has to play one more game.“ “That’s okay. Love to see you play. Ocean was such a baby though. He fell asleep in her arms.“, Sloane rolled her big brown eyes and pointed in your direction where her little brother was sleeping in your arms. With a laugh, Ali explained to her daughter: “He is still small.“ “Yes. I’ll forgive him that.“, Sloane nodded. Alis eyes met yours and you both had to suppress a laugh.
Slowly you bridged the few steps between you two; “Hi. Sorry, someone is very sleepy. As is the big one who pretends she’s wide awake.“ You nodded first into Oceans, then into Sloanes direction. Ali put Sloane down who pressed into her leg with a yawn. “Let me take him.“, Ali offered, holding out her hands to take her sleeping son from you. She gratefully smiled at you; “Thank you so much for taking care of them. I appreciate it.“ “You’re welcome.“, you replied, leaning over to kiss your girlfriend passionately but careful to not wake up Ocean.
“Excuse me! Those kisses are not child friendly either!“, Kristies voice interrupted the two of you. Alis face was still close to yours as she rolled her eyes; “It’s a kiss. You do worse things with your girlfriend!“ “Ali is right about that!“, Lynn chimed in. Ali shook her head and you noticed the adoration for her teammates in her eyes, even though she wanted to seem annoyed; “Sorry about them.“ “It’s okay, trust me. My acting friends are even more dramatic.“, you laughed. „Yeah, I can imagine.“, the defender grinned, leaning in for another kiss.
Next to you, Lynns face brightened while she pointed to her teammate; “I bet Kristie would have been great in drama school too!“ “Yeah, but she can’t remember shit.“, Ali interjected. Kristies mouth fell open in outrage; “You guys are so mean.“ “Only because we love you.“, Kelley now joined your group, winking at Kristie. Ignoring the others, Kristie turned to you, her phone in hand; “Can we take a selfie together? My girlfriend Sam is such a fan of you and can’t wait for your upcoming tv show.“ “Sure, but I’m for Ali tonight…“, you answered politely. You posed for the photo together, grinning into Kristies phone camera while she smirked; “Yeah, we noticed that.“
“The shirt spoke for itself, huh?”, you laughed with her. An amused smile was on the blonde’s lip:” I can assure you it did.” “Good.”, you nodded satisfied. Slightly displeased Ali asked her teammate:” Are you done now, Kristie?” “Yes, sounds like someone is missing her girlfriend.”, the younger player winked at you.
The older woman rolled her eyes before turning her attention to you:” Ignore her.” “With a pleasure.”, you told her as you kissed her again. Expectantly Ali looked into your eyes when you two ended the kiss:” I hope you know that you have to come to the final now too.” “That’s alright with me.”, you replied happily. The defender whispered into your ear:“You seem to bring me luck.” “Meaning I need to wear the same shirt too?”, you asked her, throwing an eyebrow up.
Innocently Ali played with a loose hair string of yours:” Actually, this time I’d like to see you in my jersey.” “Your Jersey? Okay.”, you agreed. Softly your girlfriend blushed:“It’s a bit more.. official.” “I see.” “If you want to of course.”, Ali’s face went serious. Quickly you replied: “I do.” “I’ll bring you one.”, the older woman decided. Proudly you glanced at her:” Thanks, it’ll be an honour to wear it.” “It’s an honour for us that you support us.”, Ali corrected you. Looking at her children you said: “The children look tired.” “Let’s take them to bed now.”
“Good night you three.”, you wished them warmly while you all four were slowly falling asleep in the hotelroom. With a bright grin on her face Ali answered:”Good night.”

After screenshotting my original 1:27 am rant just for safekeeping and returning to this line of thought, I think I would like to swing this bat at a hornets nest . And I shall call it ;
BG3 And Polyamory, AKA The Discourse From The Eyes Of The Polyamorous
Hi, I am now disclosing the polyamorous part of my queer identity to the internet. Yay! Remember, I am only one polyamorous person on this website and I am not the spokesperson. This is just my own opinion and my own feelings with how both the game and the fandom seem to be handling the inclusion of polyamorous relationships and characters.
And in my humble opinion: Yikes !
This should be no surprise, but the polyamorous rep in bg3 isn’t … really good . It’s there, sure, and maybe I’m the fool for expecting it to be good when it really is the first time I have ever really heard of a game having an actual polyamorous option. Like on purpose. But with how much bg3 was hyped up as being super inclusive and completely different from all other games in the genre, I had hoped that it would take a good approach to polyamorous people and relationships.
Suffice to say, it fell flat once I actually looked into it.
The companions listed as open for an open/poly relationship are Astarion, Shadowheart, Minthara, and Halsin . What’s wrong with that?
3/4 of these characters already feel like they lean into the conservative fear of polyamory . Three of them are the ‘ evil ‘ members of your party . While ( besides Halsin, but we’ll get to that ) the rest of the ‘ good ‘ character are all monogamous. Growing up in a conservative home, in a conservative province, discussions of the idea of polyamory always came back to the same argument. That only the strange and amoral would do it. Only people who can’t be trusted and don’t actually care about you want to be in a polygamous relationship. And sadly, that is what I see echoed in the choices of who is and isn’t polyamorous.
I romanced Wyll in my first playthru. I had always planned to romance Wyll, actually, since I first saw his design when I first learned of bg3 during its early access days. When I met Halsin next, and chose the options to flirt with him, I thought that a polyamorous relationship between my Tav, Wyll, and Halsin would be cute. I had hoped it would work. I had already seen plenty of Astarion and Halsin and Tav art and gifsets and every other piece of fan content floating around . I had hoped that maybe that bit I read about who is and isn’t open for polyamory was outdated, and I could have this relationship play out in my little playthru .
Of course, it came down to having to choose. And I shrugged it off, at first. Sure, Larian didn’t make Wyll polyamorous for whatever reason. It is the first game that has polyamorous options, and I can just continue the game but have that polyamorous relationship in my head as my canon for my character. That’s fine, that’s what I’ve done before. It can’t be different now, right?
But then, I looked online, opened Tumblr, wondering what other people would say. Not thinking that it would be a big debate about if it is or is not okay to pair certain characters in an ot3 or not.
Wyll can’t be polyamorous, because knightly tales of courting and the mere act of courting is strictly monogamous. Pairing him in an polyamorous relationship is fundamentally misunderstanding the character and you’ve missed the point of him if you do that. It’s wrong to want that, wrong to think about it. The game has polyamorous options, be happy with what you have.
And so, I felt guilty. Larian already set up this dichotomy between their good leaning characters having the normal and good monogamous relationship and the evil leaning characters having the strange and perverse polyamorous relationship. But then, to see that the mere act of pairing your own character with two characters because you think it’s cute, is now being looked down upon so heavily and being seen as a “ fundamental misunderstanding of the characters “. And to have those ideas an opinions suddenly become the most agreed and accepted stance on the topic? How was I supposed to feel anything other than shame. Like I had been enjoying the game wrong, in a backward way.
If Wyll was polyamorous, you do know his approach to love wouldn’t change, right? Same with Gale. Same with Karlach. Same with Lae’zel. None of them would suddenly have to have completely different approaches to love and how they want to show it and how they want to go about it. Wyll can still be replicating the courting, the dancing, the slow burn that he always heard about in bards tales and he could still be polyamorous. There’s this idea that polyamorous love is only able to be expressed in very specific, very narrow ways. That miss the point of what love is.
People don’t act like this with the polyamorous companions, I’ve noticed. You aren’t suddenly bad and misunderstanding the story of Astarion or Shadowheart or Minthara or Halsin for having a strict two person relationship with them, and not expanding into the idea of those characters taking on another partner at some point. If you have Astarion in a strict monogamous relationship, no one says anything. But saying that you have a Tav who’s dating both Karlach and Gale? People are going to talk about you. They’re going to make vague posts. They’re going to talk about how it is Impossible for those characters to Ever be comfortable in a polyamorous relationship and how it is Wrong to protray them as happy in one.
I didn’t think people forgot that the stereotype of monogamy = good and polyamory = bad is still alive and well, but it seems that when it comes to the funny dungeons and dragons video game, it’s okay to prop that stereotype up and get mad when that is possibly challenged.
Now, what about Halsin? He’s a strictly good companion. He cannot fall under the pervious argument, so is he an exception?
No. It’s worse.
Halsin being polyamorous stems in racism. Wood Elves are all described as being polyamorous, and that they do not understand jealousy. And that they do not ever settle with any of their partners. And that the relationships they have are seen as “ doomed to fail “ . This is a stereotype. Commonly associated with indigenous people. That we cannot hold a ‘ proper ‘ relationship and that we always sleep around . We didn’t fit the white model of what a (white) family and a (white) relationship should look like, so the stereotypes and misconceptions started. And, unsurprisingly, ended up as another bit of dnd racism and bioessentialism.
Halsin doesn’t uphold the pervious argument at all, but he shows another part of the discussion that I don’ t think anyone really thought of. The racism stereotypes didn’t vanish when Larian made BG3, they’re all still there. You still have good races and evil races. You still have all the dnd bioessentialism that everyone was so keen to say was gone or just pretended it wasn’t there anymore.
And Halsin is an example of those stereotypes that people are still feeding. So much content with him in it narrows him down to ‘ Big Elf that Fucks and is Horny ‘ or ‘ Big Elf that can be Sexualized no matter What he Does ‘ and it is because Larian didn’t remove the stereotypes in the first place , and fandom doesn’t care enough to take a step back for a second to realize they’re playing into them.
Am I saying you shouldn’t have an ingame polycule with the characters available? No. If it’s cute, and you like it , and it makes sense with the story you’re making for your character, and literally just because you can, go for it! But for the love of god, can we be a bit more careful with how we treat the concept of polyamorous relationships and how we talk about them? Polyamory isn’t just a fandom thing with your ot3s, it’s a real life thing. And we can see how you treat people just having fun with their characters. You understand that, once you get that torn up over the act of making three characters hold hands, it becomes a little bit hard to forget that that is the attitude you hold towards the concept of polyamory when it doesn’t fit the molds you’ve subscribed to.
#bg3#bg3 critical#👍 I decided it was for the better that I rewrite this whole thing#because I was mean in the original draft#if I see any shipping discourse on this post it is over for me#long post

yandere x "yandere" reader drabble
note: this is for my delusional girls <3
desc: yandere x yandere reader, stalking, hinted voyeurism, candid photos, possessive behavior, eventual imprisonment, etc.
word count: 0.8k
------------------------------------♡----------------------------------------
Traits that are often associated with the darling of a yandere include those that fall under the umbrella of subservience, as well as innocence. This is often to provide a contrast between the extreme nature of the yandere, which are much darker in nature. However, these two tropes aren't often realistic in the real world, and most yanderes and darlings wouldn't fit the cookie cutter of their respective tropes.
In fact, stalking is often considered a girl's forte. When talking to a potential interest, it's only common that you do a background check on them on social media.
This happens to be where you fall into as well. When you first sought out a man, the very first thing you did was stalk his social media. Once he had passed the check, it had only progressed from there. You would learn his schedule, and note any personal information that would help shape your own perception of him. All from a distance, of course.
It was your own little deep dark secret. One that not many people seemed to know about unless you trusted them immensely. These people would even be ones to help you learn information about the particular man you had your eyes on. You didn't seem to care much about how he would even feel if he knew people were keeping tabs on him. All you seemed to think about lately was how to make him yours.
You even found a way to manipulate a conservation with him. Undoubtedly, you were two people that were never meant to meet, so you just had to find a way to talk to him yourself.
Very carefully, you inserted yourself into his life with no shame of your actions. Often, at this stage, people seem to lose interest once they learn more about the person, which is far from the idealized version of them within their heads. However, you only seemed to be falling harder for him. He was perfect, to the point where you couldn't even describe him in words. You were just that deep in love with him.
So much, to the point where you failed to realize that he had a few concerning behaviors of his own. You had always seen him with rose-tinted sunglasses, but so did everyone else, so who could blame you? The man you had so happened to idealize harbored an even darker secret. He was much more skilled in hiding it from others too.
He already knew about your own attempts to try to "stalk" him. He found it quite adorable, to say the least. However, there was no one who could beat him at his own game. You see, he knew you even before you knew about him.
At first, he admired you from afar, like a painter would his muse. Over time, however, his thirst only seemed to be getting more unquenchable. If you hadn't managed to fall for him so hard from afar, it would have been him who had to be forced to do something. Bless you, really, he didn't even have to do anything for you to practically fall into his arms. Maybe it was because of how many times he had purposefully passed by you, just to garner your attention.
From what you had considered "stalking", he brought stalking to a whole new level. He wouldn't describe himself to be too bad, unless you counted the candid photos he had of you, even from within your own home. Well, even he had his own needs, and it pained him to be so afar from you.
But he knew was only getting closer. He could practically sniff it. He knew you wanted him desperately, but even he enjoyed teasing you, even if it killed him to do so at the same time. One part of him just wanted to keep you to himself, but the other enjoyed seeing your cute attempts to get him to like you. Oh, if only you knew darling.
So he observed you carefully. Eventually, he knew from the back of his mind that you would find out about his dangerous obsession with you, but he had never expected it to come so soon. You just had to poke your nose in places you shouldn't from within his home, and now you had to pay the price. How unfortunate it was, he was so set on wooing you and planning a more organic relationship, but you just had to run into those candid photos hidden deep in his room.
Well, at least it shortened the process of getting you all to himself. Of course, you cried and struggled as he imprisoned you in his own home, but he knew you would get used to it eventually. It's only natural that you would be frightened, to see what a real yandere would look like. Well, until you warmed up to him, in the meantime, you could just enjoy looking at those candid photos plastered on the wall, which you had wanted to see so badly before.
