Okay now I'm just imagining him being know as "the guy with his head chopped off"
Honestly? I thought the story would be carried on, but you're right, that is a possibility. A pretty big one.
How WOULD kids know about displacers?
Im sorry I dont know if this was said before but the way Galloran insisted on making Ferrin hold his head in his statue at the end of the book. I just cant stop thinking about it. He wanted to make it obvious that he was a displacer. He wanted to show that despite clearly not being trusted at the beggining (actually pretty much since the beggining till his very end), he died a hero. He was capable of change (eh, sort of) and he was worthy of trust and friendship, something he had never expierienced before. That he, a displacer, saved Lyrian. Ferlook's greatest spy saved the world. Galloran wanted the people to know that his heritage didn't define him. He knew he was good. He knew he was a good man. A good displacer. He knew he tried (okay my guy almost gave up like 5 times but shhh).
