Various and sundry Kingdom Hearts fanfic, because @terratenshi is helping me finally finish playing the games. We just finished with the godawful tutorial in KH2. 

Just imagine me running around leveling up Sora with all the random encounters while screaming “MY SON IS THE FAR SUPERIOR CHARACTER, LOOK AT HIM LVLING UP LIKE A BOSS, SUCK IT, FANDOOOOOOOOM!” and that’s my experience with KH2 so far. 

(I think I would actually be ambivalent to Roxas if fandom hadn’t kept trying to cram how better he was than Sora down my throat for over a decade. Now I just hate him.) 

I’ve started a second draft of an older fic from years ago, that involves some heavy editing. I’m filing the serial numbers off to make it an original story, which since it was an AU anyway isn’t super hard. I’m also editing out the zombies that were present, for two reasons: first, they didn’t have a lot to do with the story anyway. Second, I believe the newest season of TWD has hit the nail in the coffin of this current Renaissance of zombie fiction and we’re about to hit peak exhaustion. 

(I think this is partly why the Stephen King Renaissance hit so hard last year, not just the nostalgia factor. Though arguably It 2017 did well because of Stranger Things’ success, but I digress.) 

So it’s going to be gay romance dystopian cyberpunk instead.

Yeah sorry about that! So the RAW will be up in about 15 minutes, and the Sub will be up in a couple hours!

That's a great cartoon, love that theme song. CShas like eight different canons. The 90s games and the cartoon are separate canons. Mainly Carmen's personality and looks are not the same (black hair is a big chang) and the Chief is not Lynne Thigpen

I see! I’ve only seen maybe one game played on youtube so I was surprised by how many similarities did exist. 

And it’s on DVD so the stream looks excellent. I always get miffed when I see something I used to watch in the 90s having a crappy stream quality because, yeah, not licensed for home video, so they’re old TV/VHS rips. (Mighty Max being a good example, Aladdin you won’t even find on youtube even though Disney would never deign to put it on DVD.) Sigh.

...I think you actually might be the one with issues here, if you assume getting angry about being mistaken for younger than you are is a solely Japanese thing and you're declaring it a cultural practice based on one character in a manga's actions.

If you know it's a cultural difference, please feel free to explain to me what it is. If not, you're just concern-trolling, which is honestly pretty not cool. Don't use other cultures as a tool to give you an excuse to snap at people because of your bad mood.

Please film your own Jem movie with your sims, it would be approximately eight million times better.

I can't help but agree, even if all I did was use the only four 'actual characters' I've simmed (Techrat and the Stingers), and left it all in Simlish.And didn't even try to have a plot outside of 'Here's Riot making pancakes while Rapture tells a random townie Sim's fortune out in the living room.'

YAY! I love these!

1. I watch Community and Jem for background noise on a constant cycle when I work on my sewing projects. The cycle goes: Community Season 1-4, Jem The Complete Series, Community Season 1-4 with Commentary, then Jem again. These are the only two shows I have had at this level of saturation without getting sick of them at some point.

2. I sold Mary Kay Cosmetics for like two months several years back and I believe if at the time I'd actually known as much about cosmetics as I do now (which isn't that much more) I probably would have kept at it.

3. I have a strong paranoia that I smell really bad but no one's saying anything and they're all just enduring it.

4. I wrote a biography on Jim Henson when I was in Elementary school.

5. Purple is my confidence color because it's my older sister's favorite color.

Oh my god, when I watched the dub, everything sounded so sexual. If you are watching, watch with your eyes closed. Especially battle scenes. It’s glorious.

Everything anybody says is the cheesiest sexual euphemism.  That may be a way to make the dub tolerable--make a drinking game out of how often they sound like they're referring to sex.
