Update: I got a drawing tablet

I was going to just draw in a sketchbook for this blog and scan my pictures but my sister gave me her old tablet since she got a new one and I drew a long-haired Rin on it, my Rin didn’t look very good when saved directly from fire alpaca so I screenshot the picture. I’ll compare the two for you I’ll defiantly have to improve.

These are the eyes I used to do when I tried drawing in middle school so they are the ones I’m most familiar with but I’m going to test out different eyes because I don’t really like this style. I want more stylized eyes but I really like Rin’s hair! Just gotta make the bangs more even next time! Whenever I feel a bit more confident that I’ve developed an art style I will open the inbox! i really cant stand certain headcanons, but the absolute worst ones are that the male vocaloids are huge perverts or even pedophiles....or any vocaloid in general. leave them alone!!!! why do u hate certain vocaloids so much that youd call them a fucking pedophile??? pedophilia isnt cute or funny, its fucking disgusting. and this might be very presumptuous of me but if you hc any vocaloid as a pedo you're disgusting too. [also if any pedos are reading this (bc i know some of you freaks go into the search) if you interact with this post or me at all, you'll be reported and blocked]

i also hate when ppl call any vocaloid (or ANY character for that matter) shotas or lolis. bc yknow...those terms are rooted in pedophilia, and once again pedophilia isnt cute or funny. like this literally isnt up for debate, if you try to defend that shit you'll also be reported and blocked

this one might be controversial?? idk but it kinda bothers me when ppl take a japanese vocaloid, change their skin colour, and then say theyre poc now. like japanese ppl arent white so werent they poc before?? like im genuinely confused. is the term poc for nonwhite ppl in general or specifically for darker skinned nonwhite ppl? bc ive seen both ways. also the issue here isnt making a pale vocaloid darker (bc im all for that!!! we need darker vocas) in general, its just when ppl imply that japanese ppl are white ig. Get to know Master K

Hello to whoever reads this! I am K the soon to be artist of this blog! 

I am a bisexual woman (she/her) who has been a Vocaloid fan (and similarly a Gakurin shipper) since 2012. While Vocaloid has been my number one obsession for years I also play Nintendo games, voltage inc. games and watch youtube in my free time. I don’t watch as much anime as I used to, I read a lot of shoujo manga. Can you tell I’m a hopeless romantic? I also consider myself to be very friendly so send me a message if you want to chat! 

Now onto why I like this ship and what I plan to do with the blog! 

GakuRin if you haven’t caught on is the ship name for the Vocaloid's Gakupo Kamui and Rin Kagamine. Now pretty please put your pitchforks aside for a minute and hear what I have to say. When I started listening to vocaloids I quickly felt a close bond with the vocaloids Rin and Len Kagamine, Rin more so than Len. Then soon I started to listen to Gakupo songs and I fell in love with his design a voice. I decided to see if there were any songs between my two favorite Vocaloid’s Rin and Gakupo and hearing those high and low harmonies sealed my fate forever. I listened to songs between the two, saved shippy art of the pair on my phone and computer and read/wrote fan fiction for them. “K I don’t care about your life story! Rin is 14 and Gakupo is probably an adult man!” Yeah Rin has a “canon” age of 14 and Gakupo doesn’t have a canon ages but is assumed to be probably 20 like Kaito and Luka but any true canon in Vocaloid is a slippery slope. For example, Rin and Len are in canon considered mirrored images of each other. They are not explicitly made twins so that people could either view them as siblings or lovers. And Vocaloid’s get aged up and down for songs it’s just a norm so for Vocaloid where canon age never matters (also Gakupo doesn’t have a canon age so he can be the worlds tallest 12 year old for all I care) that is why I don’t feel as weird shipping it and even found myself projecting on Rin a bit as an adult that’s barely 5 feet tall and has a baby face. So yeah this is my trash ship and this is the only attempt I will make to defend it. Feel free to tell me why I’m a p*dophile apologist or whatever in the ask box once I open it I’m down for discussions. 

So with my rant out of the way the story behind this blog is that Rin and Gakupo aren’t real people, they are computer programs responding to questions in a digital space so their age corresponds to how long the program has existed not the ages Crypton or fans have given them. I do want to draw a slightly older looking Rin however just to make myself feel a little less weird about this whole thing, also Rin with long hair is cute. If this all just sounds likea convoluted way for me to justify having shit taste than just don’t follow this blog. If you like this ship or are at least interested to see what I do here than I hope you stick around and thanks for hearing me out!

Hey if you create comfort content that someone says can affect other victims, properly use trigger warnings for those people. Sure it’s not perfect but it’s something that can help. 

And on that note DON’T let people try to change your comfort content for that reason. They don’t know your life but will call you a creep or tell you to KYS cause use “problematic” media to cope? That’s victim blaming as hell.

The man who groomed me did use my like of older characters (mainly men, but I like older woman too) and age gap ships to groom me but I didn’t give him the power to take my presences away from me. It’s still traumatic and I’m still healing but GakuRin and Otome games with the same old man love interest stereotype copy and pasted helped me get through it. I believe warnings should be out there for other victims but I won’t be silenced as one either.
