After finishing the Pokemon Type Challege I decided to add a third half lion pokemon to my Duo and make them a Trio.

MANTIQUORTZ [Manticore-Quartz] -Rock -The Rocky Stinger Pokemon -Ability: Strong Jaw - Rock Head(HA) -Dex: “It inhabits the lower rocky sides of the mountains, living inside the caves and tunnels. A powerful blow from is stinger can incapacitate any prey, but even at a distance it can shoot sharp shards from the tip, as strong and fast as a bullet.“     -Head Smash     -Crunch     -Rock Blast     -Stealth Rock

GAJASILICA [Gajasimha-Silicate] -Ground -The Sandy Tusk Pokemon -Ability: Sand Rush - Sand Force(HA) -Dex: “It inhabits the sandy dunes at the base of the mountain. It's body is always covered in sand, to the point where one cant tell where the sand ends and the pokemon begins. It has a gentle nature, but can become really violent when provoked. “     -Earth Power     -Scorching Sands     -Mud Bomb     -Sandstorm

This three pokemon are mortal enemies of each other, they keep themselves to their territories to avoid any conflict, but if they cross paths they will figh until only one remains standing.

While CRYOSFINX is based on the egyptian Criosphinx and MANTIQUORTZ is based on the persian Manticore, GJASILICA is based on the indian Gajasimha, a creature with the body of a lion and the head of an elephant

The Gajasimha Bridge in Radz-at-Han is built atop a massive outcrop of rock and is the only footpath into the city. The name comes from a ferocious deity from local mythology, where a gaja crossed with a lion, was a vigilant sentinel against evil.

hey! weird mix of mythical and creatures from folklore here but:

Jasper - griffins. or really any creature that is a mix of other creatures and makes an entirely new one. like a chimera, or a gajasimha, or a hippalectryon.

Leonora - sea serpents. she would say that she has a healthy respect for the power of the ocean and all that could be within it, hence a fascination with all the strange and dangerous creatures that could be in it.

Augustine - a phoenix. especially the ideas of renewal and cyclical time. also they just think it looks cool.

Mira - she finds anything that borders being human/inhuman fascinating. think the fey, especially tellings of them as being nature-spirits.

Theodorus - the wild hunt. not a creature, but finds it interesting as an omen/concept. fully believes that it exists.

ANIMALS AND (SEMI) CREATURES OF THE TWELVE

There are many different animals and creatures to be found on the Twelve Planets that make up the Rashi Galaxy. There are even more to be found in the Jyotisha System as a whole but for the sake of simplicity, I’ll just focus on those who have been sighted on the twelve main planets.

Gajasimha are hybrid creatures. They have the face of an elephant and the body of a lion. Most of them have wings, too. Udyati has bonded with a Gajasimha whom she named Buddhi, who has tragically lost her wings in an accident but is still very fast on land. Buddhi’s name means ‘intelligence’; she is named after one of Ganesha’s wives. Buddhi’s name also sounds like the word ‘buddy’ and Udyati secretly thought that sort-of pun was kind of funny. They have lionine bodies, sure, but they act more like big golden retrievers. Or, at least, Buddhi does. 

Byangoma are said to be birds with human faces. It is their expressions that make people believe that. Wise beyond their many years, it has been said that they help those that are deserving of it and turn their backs on those who do not. They are sightless at birth and remain so until a drop of blood has been willingly given, after which a bond is formed and the person who has deposited a droplet of their blood sees a glimpse or glimpses of the future and the Byangoma gets to see the world through the person’s eyes. It’s always an equivalent exchange.

Karkadann are found in the desert. Often likened to unicorns, they are coveted for their pelts - brown and black and often patterned with stars - as well as their horns for their horns have purifying and medicinal qualities, though most people carve weapons out of them (for example, Udyati’s daggers are made of Karkadann horns). Karkadann are fiercely loyal to themselves and their kin which means they are vicious against outsiders and are not to be disturbed once spotted out in the wild.

Rakshasas are ferocious and tall. Aside from that, they are adept illusion weavers, which makes them a great deal harder to spot and even harder to fight. But they can be harmed and even be killed. Most of them have long since succumbed to their anger and bloodlust.

Pishachas are shapeshifters. They are beings of chaos and darkness. and it is darkness that they covet, but not as much as human energy. They are often invisible unless they’re on the hunt and tend to hunt in pairs or in packs.

Pretas are hungry. All the time. Always. Forever. Constantly craving human flesh. That and only that. Nothing else will sate their everlasting hunger. They, too, travel in packs. Make no mistake, however, and do not underestimate them. They’re tiny - and some might even say they’re cute in a crude, strange way - but they’re mighty and far cleverer than one might think. They’re not very strong, though, and can quickly be overpowered.

Vetalas can see the future too except they aren’t as ready or willing to part with their knowledge. They speak in riddles and whispers, leaving it up to the person to interpret it. Nine times out of ten, this is very hard for the person to do as being in the vicinity of a Vetala drains a person from their will to go on. This is also how they defend their territory. It is easy for Vetalas to slip in and out of physical forms. It’s easier, still, to take a person’s body for their own and make it their plaything or their ride. Only the touch of a Visha Kanya expels them as they are - strangely enough - not immune to poison.

Visha Kanya are often feared because of their poisonous touch. More often than not, they are also shunned. There aren’t many of them around anymore: most of them were killed in order to harvest their body parts and other such fluids. The few that are still around often work as assassins, taking on jobs from those who pays them what they’re worth, if not more. They look like regular people except their elliptical pupils give them away. It is said that Visha Kanya are descended from the Naga’s, hence their eyes. Hence the poison.

Okay I’m gonna talk about Buddhi real quick. Buddhi is named after one of Ganesha’s wives. She is also a Gajasimha. A hybrid, much like Udyati. A being with a lioness body and an elephant head. 

Normally, these beings also have wings. But Buddhi’s wings were clipped before she met and bonded with Udyati. So flight is off the table. However, Buddhi is pretty damn fast. And it’s also hilarious that Udyati has bonded with Buddhi, seeing as she’s never had any type of animal in her house because of her mom’s allergies and is not a horse girl either (that would be Meilin Chang). 

But she loves Buddhi a whole lot. Buddhi is her buddy and Udyati will talk to you very sternly at first if you hurt her. And if that does not work, and if her disappointed face also does not work, she will beat the snot out of you for hurting Buddhi.

(Báo Quảng Ngãi)- Quảng Ngãi là vùng đất còn lưu dấu của văn hóa Sa Huỳnh, Chămpa, cũng như giữ gìn nhiều bảo vật quốc gia và hàng chục nghìn hiện vật có giá trị. Tuy nhiên, công tác trưng bày, bảo quản, phát huy giá trị các hiện vật, bảo vật ấy chưa cao.

Thiếu tủ bảo quản đặc biệt   Hiện tại, Bảo tàng Tổng hợp tỉnh đang bảo quản 3 bảo vật quốc gia, bao gồm: Bộ sưu tập trang sức vàng Trà Veo 3 và Lâm Thượng – được công nhận là bảo vật quốc gia vào tháng 12.2020, cùng hai bảo vật được công nhận trước đó là, tượng cổ tu sĩ Chămpa Phú Hưng và bộ bình gốm đất nung Long Thạnh. 

Tượng cổ tu sĩ Chămpa Phú Hưng – một trong những bảo vật quốc gia, nhưng chưa có tủ bảo quản đặc biệt xứng tầm.

Ngoài 3 bảo vật quốc gia trên, Bảo tàng Tổng hợp tỉnh còn lưu giữ hơn 22 nghìn hiện vật có giá trị văn hóa, lịch sử; trong đó, gần chục hiện vật xứng tầm bảo vật quốc gia đã và đang tiếp tục đề nghị Chính phủ công nhận. Điển hình như hai tượng Gajasimha của văn hóa Chămpa thế kỷ XI; trống đồng Đông Sơn, hay bộ gốm sứ chu đậu tượng tỳ bà, bộ Linga-Yoni… Đây đều là những bảo vật vô giá, là những di sản độc bản, có niên đại rất lâu đời.   Tuy nhiên, công tác bảo tồn và phát huy giá trị của các bảo vật đang gặp rất nhiều khó khăn. Những bảo vật đã được công nhận nhưng chưa thể trưng bày, giới thiệu đến người tham quan do thiếu các điều kiện…   Theo quy định của Luật Di sản văn hóa, “bảo vật quốc gia được bảo vệ và bảo quản theo chế độ đặc biệt”. Tiêu chuẩn bảo quản bảo vật phải tùy thuộc vào đặc điểm chất liệu và niên đại của từng bảo vật để có phương pháp bảo quản riêng cho phù hợp. Nhưng hiện nay, các bảo vật quốc gia đang được áp dụng một điều kiện bảo quản chung và chưa có nhiều khác biệt so với các hiện vật thông thường khác tại bảo tàng, cũng chưa có những tủ bảo quản chuyên biệt để đảm bảo về nhiệt độ, độ ẩm thích hợp cho từng hiện vật, với từng chất liệu khác nhau.   Cần sớm trang bị   Giám đốc Bảo tàng Tổng hợp tỉnh Nguyễn Viết Nghĩa cho biết: Đơn vị chưa đáp ứng được về hạ tầng kỹ thuật. Cụ thể là chưa có hệ thống tủ chuyên dụng để đảm bảo cho việc quản lý các bảo vật quốc gia, nhất là việc trưng bày giới thiệu đến công chúng, đảm bảo an toàn cho các bảo vật quốc gia này. “Bảo vật quốc gia là tài sản vô giá của đất nước. Việc ứng xử đúng tầm với những báu vật có một không hai này không chỉ là trách nhiệm của những người làm công tác bảo tàng, mà còn là trách nhiệm của tất cả chúng ta đối với những di sản mà cha ông để lại. Vì vậy, chúng tôi đã báo cáo Sở VH-TT&DL để có cơ sở trình UBND tỉnh. Dự kiến kinh phí mua sắm hệ thống tủ bảo quản, trưng bày này khoảng 4 tỷ đồng”, ông Nghĩa nói.   Những năm qua, Bảo tàng Tổng hợp tỉnh đã dày công nghiên cứu, sưu tầm, tổ chức khai quật các hiện vật; đẩy mạnh tuyên truyền, vận động nhiều tổ chức, cá nhân hiến tặng hiện vật, góp phần bổ sung, tạo sự phong phú về loại hình, chủng loại, chất liệu cho kho lưu giữ tư liệu, hiện vật tại bảo tàng. Thế nhưng, trong các kho bảo quản thì chỉ một kho đảm bảo đủ các điều kiện. Hơn nữa, Bảo tàng Tổng hợp tỉnh được đưa vào sử dụng năm 2007, đến nay công trình đã xuống cấp, nhất là các phòng trưng bày chưa đảm bảo về cơ sở vật chất, không gian trưng bày hạn hẹp và thiếu phương tiện kỹ thuật bảo quản hiện vật…   Để các hoạt động của Bảo tàng Tổng hợp tỉnh phát huy hiệu quả, đáp ứng nhu cầu tìm hiểu lịch sử và hưởng thụ văn hóa của nhân dân, thời gian tới, các cấp, các ngành cần có những giải pháp thiết thực nhằm tháo gỡ khó khăn trên, góp phần nghiên cứu, bảo tồn và phát huy các giá trị lịch sử, di sản văn hóa trên địa bàn tỉnh.   Bài, ảnh: KIM NGÂN       .
