BACKFLIPS AND KICKS DOWN THE DOOR. HELLO. I've brought art of the oars and I'm gonna GSOQBSOSBAOABSJSB

I'm gonna introduce these in batches because they can be categorized and that's fun anyways first up THEM!! Just them, nothing less nothing more. The Sword is calling the Oar "anata" because it's a Japanese endearing term used to refer to spouses :}}

Next up I experimented with making them humanoid rather than going full humanization. The Oar's outfit is based on Edo-period Fishermen and the Sword's outfit is based loosely on Edo-period swordsmen (not samurai 'cause i. i'm not strong enough for that kind of detail) (ft. Policarpa's Spool because. I love her. Not much else.)

And finally, we got them as human! Mainly as a fun exercize for me. I'm not sure what the Oar's name would be as a human (I'm trying so hard to not just name him "Oru"), but I'm definitely naming Human!Sword "Ken" 'cause not only does it look like a normal name, Ken is the romaji for the Japanese word for "sword"! Ehe. I'm so smart. Also, the bottom drawings on the 4th photo are them in a mordern setting! Aka what they would look like after the Professoe yeeted them into the present (not finalized designs though)

I'd talk more about my personal headcanons for them, but I'll only do so if you allow me. I don't wanna overwhelm you with too much 😭🙏🏽 Thank you for letting me share my art though!! :]]

Arghgfhgr that art style is so cute, and I love the humanoid oars! They are so... don't know how to describe it but I LOVE that they are not completely oars but also not completely human. That is amazing.

modern au where your husband nanami is a literature professor and he sits you on his lap while he reads essays and prepares lecture material. he gets so used to the weight of you on his thigh, the warmth of your body against his, that eventually, he finds that he cannot focus without you there.

nanami is a little sheepish when he enters the living room, hemming a little bit in a way that’s very uncharacteristic of your lover. your eyes stray from the show playing on the television, now curiously tracking his small movements. you pause the contents on the tv before greeting him. “hi baby, you okay? how’s grading going?”

nanami’s hand reaches up to adjust his glasses before he releases a little sigh. “not well, my love.” his voice is quiet, the deep timber a comforting sound. he walks into the kitchen as he continues, “I’ve been working on reading these papers, but I find my mind straying far too much.” he finishes his sentence while pouring water into the kettle, placing it then on the stove.

“is that so?” you ask, leaning over the arm of the chair, enjoying, as always, the sight of your lover doing mundane tasks— the domesticity of it never ceasing to affect you, even after years of marriage. “where’s your mind been going?” despite the question, you have an idea and the smile on your face betrays it.

nanami hesitates as retrieves two cups from the cupboard; the beautiful, delicate china a wedding gift that has become the staple for holding your evening teas. “you, darling. though it is becoming apparent that you already knew that, tease.” he grumps at the end without malice.

“I assumed, but I always love to hear it.” you giggle in return. “want me to come keep you company?”

he’s nearly done pouring your teas, steeping the loose leaves in your favorite tea holders. “yes, please. if you’d like, you can watch your show in the room. I just prefer you do it next to me.”

“that’s alright, I was getting bored of it anyways. plus, i’d rather watch that quirk in your eyebrow when you find that your student has used ‘perchance’ incorrectly again.���

“minx.” he chides. “keep making fun of me and i’ll forget to put in your sugar.”

“I yield! I yield,” you laugh, raising your hands high in defeat. “it’s far too bitter without the sugar, I don’t know how you make do.”

the small spoon clinks as he finishes stirring in your honey and sugar, and he lays it down in the sink before picking up the cups, each sitting in their own decorated porcelain plates. you rise from the couch, quickly pressing the ‘off’ button on the remote before padding over to your husband.

you gently nudge your way under his arm, wary of the tea he’s carrying, and nuzzle yourself into him. you walk in tandem to your room approaching the warm glow of his desk lamp. “I don’t need any more sugar; you’re enough for me, sweetness.”

So much of Odile’s story revolves around her sense of abandonment and alienation, how she felt unwanted, like she didn’t belong anywhere, how she was careful to never get too close to anyone. And then, once she found her family, she had so much trouble admitting it. She was scared of what she would do to hold onto them and keep them safe.

Then she watched as Siffrin almost destroyed the world because they didn’t want to let her and their family go, proving that 1.) he wouldn’t abandon her and 2.) she isn’t the only one who’d do horrible things for their family.

“Cute” is an interesting word for what he did. Siffrin’s actions in the time loops responded to Odile’s fear of abandonment by showing her in the barest of terms that while they may run from their problems, they would never willingly leave her behind. Their history and complicated sense of unbelonging mirrors hers even if their experiences don’t quite match - letting her know she isn’t alone. And his destructive love, along with their family’s proven willingness to forgive him, makes it clear that their family loves its members, even if they have some darkness in them.

Siffrin does have issues, and their actions were extreme. But in his own way, he has shown Odile that she is loved, and endeared themself to her in turn.

When something is cute, you want to hold onto it. You want to help protect it. Maybe you don’t often use the L-word, so you use this as a substitute. The things you want to hold onto and help and protect, the things you might apply that word to, are cute.

And to Odile, Siffrin’s dramatic affirmation of their love for her and the rest of their family is cute.

Very, very cute.

God, I'm (yet again) exhausted. What a show. I will say, flaws and all, it's still one of the best animated series I've watched. Ever. No, I don't think it deserves the vitriol it's getting on social media.

I have a LOT of emotions right now. I don't think I'm even thinking straight after watching through everything once. It definitely needs to be re-watched multiple times. No, I'm not offering any kind of insights or anything like that. I think I'm just too emotional seeing my favorite show end.

I really wanna thank the writers, directors, artists, animators, producers, and everyone else who worked on this show for this work of art. It was beautiful, and it's why I love making gifs of this show.

And just because this show has ended, doesn't mean I'll stop making things. There's two whole seasons to work with now. I hope I can have enough free time to post regularly. I still need to make some 8k wallpapers and a ton of gifs haha.

I'll take a break and sleep for now. I'll see what I can make when I wake up tomorrow. I have so many things I want to do, but I also feel like crap and I too, have a life LMAO.

Oh, and I'm still looking forward to the next stories that they tell us! Runeterra truly has amazing lore. Excited to see what's next!

It’s the fact that there were so many people at that party, including Verosika, but Blitzo ONLY cared about finding Stolas. Never ONCE had he ever before even considered running after one of his Ex’s, including Verosika who was most likely the ex he was closest with.

Stolas is DIFFERENT and he KNOWS IT. He knows he needs to suck up his pride, go to this horrible party even though he severely doesn’t want too, find Stolas specifically in the crowd, get him alone, just so explain himself, open up, and apologize sincerely.

Stolas is so different, Blitzo genuinely looks at that silly bird and all his dramatics and all his fancy cloths and fancy words and his funny flirting and knows that this man is the love of his life, this man is different, this man is the one worth giving it all up for. He’s willing to give it all up for Stolas. He’s willing to change for him.

In the end he was so upset seeing Stolas sad, and he just wanted to try to make it better in any way that he can (which I think is why he took Verosika’s advice and just left)

Like it makes me sick to my stomach how obsessed Blitzo is even though he’s just now realizing it

I love shipping characters who hate each other in canon.

I love shipping characters who have had exactly one (1) conversation in canon.

I love shipping characters who have never met in canon.

I love shipping characters from different pieces of media.

It starts off silly. The notion of the pairing is so weird, so unexpected and seemingly dumb that it makes me laugh a little, perk up, look into it and see if this is really a thing.

And then it becomes a joke. Haha, look at this ship I’m shipping ironically, isn’t it silly, it would obviously never work out in canon but I’m looking at it and producing content for it anyway because it’s fun.

But as time goes on, it starts filling my feed. I start thinking about it - really thinking about it. Why did someone put these characters together in the first place? How would they really interact? How did they end up together, and why would they stay together?

What started out as a joke becomes a diving-off point, an opportunity to really think about both characters. The dynamic isn’t canon, so it’s yours to shape. The dynamic isn’t canon, so now you must delve into each character on your own, figure out how you perceive and understand both of them, learn to see them in a different light. What started out as a joke encourages you to dig deeper, think harder, fall even more in love with those characters as you consider the potentials which lie outside of canon, but which ultimately trace their roots through the core of the characters themselves.

Because by their very nature, crackships and rarepairs are not based on plot, and they are not based on canon. They are so seemingly random and odd that they disrupt your typical view of these characters, making you think more deeply about them. The non-canon ships you embrace or reject can inform your perception of these characters on a deep level. They can make you cry just as easily as they make you laugh. They add so much flavor.

And they can also be really, really funny.
