thinking about saw x thinking about how empathetic Amanda was towards Gabriella and her drug addiction and how even her trap wasnt that bad (imo i feel like it was partially designed by amanda, no timer and all that) and how HEARTBROKEN she was when Cecilia broke her neck. and also just her and John’s relationship where she still is so attached to his hip and euphoric from her experience/believing in John’s way. and John truly did care about her! so much! man!

After we got out of the theater my sister mentioned that Gabi had a way easier trap than all the others, and it got me thinking.

It's a pretty big part of the story that there are a lot of similarities between Gabi and Mandy, so what if John noticed just it like Amanda did, and (probably without even realizing) went easy on her?

im really enjoying all this amanda context that has come out of saw x bc i feel like it helps to bridge the gap in her motivation between mercy killing adam and then all the straight up murder in saw 3. like i know it was a breaking point for her type thing but it felt like a bit too big of a jump to me if im being so honest. but since everything we see in x takes place after she kills adam, it makes her whole descent that much smoother. in my humble gamer opinion.
