At home, Finn went straight to the bathroom. At first he just got ready for bed, still hesitating whether he should do it. The principle brought back bad memories, but he used to like such things... Florian is not the only artist in the house.

Finn had a moment to hesitate. Florian was reading Gabriella a story, and she was all ears.

After the usual curious questions of course. "Daddy, why are you dressed like that?" "Finn has another surprise for me." "Hmm... You're going to be loud again, aren't you." "And you have to sleep soon! Come, listen. It's called "The Six Companions."

Florian continued. When Gabriella heard that many princes tried and failed, she whispered that she also wanted a prince who would do everything for her, which made Florian smile.

A king’s son had heard of the Princess’ extraordinary beauty as well. “Let me go and court her”, he said to his father.

Florian went on to say that when the prince was finally allowed to do the quest, he found all sorts of special people who could help him. Like a very fat man, whose stomach was infinite.

Like an elfin man with gigantic ears that could hear everything, “Even bigger than Aunt Demi's!” Flo added.

And his brother who could see everything.

Also a very tall man who could grow many meters high, a man who always wore a blindfold because his eyes could make things explode, and a man who got cold from the heat, and hot from the cold. "Those were the six companions."

Over the next few days, the furniture arrived, the house was decorated and a harmony came over everyone. Finally, peace, space and stability.

...Of course, a space was also set up that was ideal for parties, with a bar, so that Finn could always practice without being dependent on the issues of opening hours and bar owners. And the weather, since the April whims lived up to their name and it was a different climate every day.

Gabriella went to school, Florian focused on their fitness with a newly set up home gym, Finn could be found behind one of his bars... The first days went smoothly.

Finn and Florian had not found a double sleeping bag in the short time, and after a while of trying to hug each other warm, they also said goodbye to the busy day and went to meet the first night in their new home.

Gabriella also loved the new house. Not long after the move, she invited her cousin and friends over for a sleepover. They played games for hours, only to finally fall asleep in their sleeping bags in the middle of the living room around midnight.

The only one who refused to go to sleep was Sonja, she was having too much fun in her friend's colorful big house.

Lillian also got lost in the house sometimes. Curiously she looked around, and eventually ended up in the bedroom of Gabi's dad and stepdad. "I don't have a dad and Gabs has two, unfair." She thought before she went to get her sleeping bag and moved to the nice colorful room with the funny cuddly toy and vegetable lamp.

Some slight spoilers of a certain someone, their husband (and their daughter) on honeymoon (Gabi wouldn't let them know the end of it if they travelled without her AGAIN), they're in the tropics and got a tan...euhm...Freckle (and they also got one shade of porcelain darker! Lol. I am a vampire myself I can say that)

For face freckles, I currently have these ancient ones by ladyfrontbum in my game (were featured on daddy freckle), as well as the every so slightly less ancient big collections by vasilla (and part 2 ), which show up under skindetails itself but aren't recolorable (they weren't dark enough for Daddy Freckle) there are likely more out there but these I currently use on my sims :)

It also works well as an extra enhancement/layer for already-freckled skins, such as Kurasoberina sunkissed freckled fruit and freckled fruit redux (unavailable so reuploads by yours truly)

Florian had no father, of course. Though their mothers could come back at any moment, as well as other family.

"FINNN! Are those your parents?? Come on, they're testing the music for the dance floor again!"

"Uh, Gabs..."

Finn's parents froze in place when they saw whirlwind Gabriella. Who is this child acting so familiar with their son? She looked almost 8 years old... Timeline-wise... She couldn't be... No, she definitely didn't look half-Asian and she wouldn't have called him by his name.

"Gabs, I was talking, because yes, those are my parents! Hey, don't drag me along like that!"

Finn had forgotten for a moment that his parents were prudish, conservative and not at all up to date and was completely absorbed in entertaining his stepdaughter. "There, now you can't drag me along!" "Pu- Put me dooo-oooown!" "Put you down? No way! Without my protection, the monster from under your bed might catch you!" "There was no monster!" "AHA!"

“Yichén, who is that child?” Hua finally dared to ask.

"This playful busybody is Gabriella, my stepdaughter."

Hua and her husband looked at each other thoughtfully. "Stepdaughter..."

"She's also in her late twenties, maybe she's been married before." "Yìchén clearly cares about the girl, that's what matters."

"I still find it strange, why didn't he say anything about it in the letter?"

"Let's just assume that the girl's father died in an accident and her mother is about to remarry. She couldn't be that perfect."

What do you do the night before you get married? Playing on the trampoline with your barely eight years old stepdaughter of course.

But Finn didn't mind at all. Gabriella was an enthusiastic and adventurous child, with a lot of Flo in her and little of her weird mother. Although they sometimes had to fight for Florian's attention, Finn felt a fatherly feeling for her from the day she sweetly asked him if he was her daddy's knight.

There was a very wild side to her, and Finn could imagine that in eight years' time he and Flo would have to throw out many a shady young man.

Of course she remained a little girl. "FINNNNN HEEELLUUP!" "Gabs what's wrong!?" "There's a monster under my bed! It bit me!"

Finn looked under his almost-stepdaughter's bed with great concern; nothing of course. But she refused to come into her room again. Luckily the sheets had been washed that day so she slept in her daddy's bed. After Finn read "The Kitchen Princess" to her to calm her down he spent some time in the bathroom thinking about Florian*, and then went to sleep in Gabi's bed.

When they came back down, greeted by Demi with a "You're balancing me out!" Fuchsia was finally there, with just Gisele. "Fergus had a special Elf thing with his great-great-grandparents. Gisele's too young for that." she quickly explained. "Ah...Ok." Florian's family remained fascinating.

"Gisele is in the garden with Gabi. Is it okay if we take her to the forest tomorrow? There's no one Gisele's age on Fergus' side and it's so boring for her." Finn didn't really know what to say, he's just Gabi's almost-stepfather, but Florian quickly stepped in with a "Of course, she always has fun with you and loves elves."

A little later everyone was called for dessert; Cinnamon rolls which were a collaboration between Bianca and Finn, with cookies and some ice cream cake on the table. "Gisele and Gabriella are apparently still finishing their snowman..." Fuchsia mumbled, but that made it a good time to discuss adult matters. "About the wedding, er, I would like to be carried away." Florian told them

"Being carried away? Like a bride? That's not how these things are supposed to be?" Demi answered immediately. "Besides, you don't have a dad."

"Always so flexible and open-minded Demi." Fuchsia said, but Florian also had an answer ready. "Why do women get all these nice extras? Nice dress, bouquet, being carried away, "her" day and so on."

"You're right Flo. It may be unusual, but you can hang onto my arm with a bouquet while I take you to Finn if you want." Bree reassured her child.

His parents apparently thought that "My Mandarin is bad so I'd rather speak English." Means "I don't understand Mandarin." His heart started pounding even more as Gabriella was followed by one of her grandmothers. Bree saw his parents talking to each other, and with a quick exchange of eyes with Finn, she more or less knew what was going on.

Though Bree was still taken aback when Finn's father started talking to her with all sorts of assumptions. "You're the mother-in-law? I see the resemblance to the girl. Where's your husband? I'd like to discuss the financial side, just because our son has lost contact with us doesn't we won't contribute."

But it began to occur to Hua. Where did she know this woman from? She must have been years older since she last saw her, like a decade and a half, but she looked so familiar. And didn't the girl have slightly pointed ears? How strange... Alpenfrühle had sounded familiar to her too, "Flo", how awkward and strange her son was acting... "My husband? Uhm..."

It clicked for Hua when a once-deep golden blonde with sky-blue eyes, a tan, and pointy ears threw her arms around Bree. "Ooh are those Finn's parents? I can see where he gets his looks," the impulsive Bianca asked her spouse. "Um, so, my husband... I'm afraid I'm rather "the man of the house"..."

Finn's father looked from Bree to Bianca, from Bianca to Bree, how the "bride" based on Finn's letter had the hair color of one mother and the eye color and skin tone of the other, and the puzzlepieces fell into place.

That was on a Saturday night, and even if the next day wasn't Sunday, everyone would still have the day off, despite the reason why being on a Sunday by definition. "What time did we fall asleep? Oh, I have a headache..." Finn asked, yawning. They had been woken up by Gabriella's shuffling downstairs, eager to get to the park to look for eggs. "I don't know... Four o'clock?" "Can't you call your moms to take Gabs to the park? I'm still so tired..."

"No way, I know something for the fatigue." With a quick swing, Florian fired a spell at Finn, who made it clear with a little cry that he didn't like being a target all of a sudden. But it worked; he felt fresh and cheerful. Then Flo used the spell on themself, and after eating something and brushing their teeth, they were ready to leave with Gabi.

Despite initial doubts, the day looked like it would be fun. Gabi immediately fled from her clingy parent and stepdad to find eggs, and they had the place to themselves. There was a love meter that they tried out for fun - of course, it almost broke. Holding that stick tight was no problem for them.
