Carrying the Weight of Life:

This song tells an entire story, from the slower sections at the beginning and middle to the fast-paced yet melancholy mood of the rest of the song, to the leitmotifs from past games seamlessly incorporated into the original melody. This song even got the Xenoblade honor of only being used twice in the main game! Both the times it was used were some of the best cutscenes in the entire game.

Cayde would've absolutely 100% adored Nimbus and had a sweet nickname for them like he did with all his friends.

Caught up with this week's story as a treat for getting through my bird lab final (not done yet but that was the scariest one for me) and aaaa Osiris sounds so happy about getting to crack the mystery of the Veil, I'm so happy for him- grandpa got a hobby thank fuck

(Kinda cruel of Riven to call him a 'broken warlock' too but given the state she's in and what's at stake for her + how rude Osiris was to her when she talked with him, I can't exactly blame her sjfjdj. Season of the Catty Bitches it is)

You glance at the ungodly pile of lamps. It’s getting worse. Oh god it is getting worse. Three wizards have been lost to the lamp already, and the only thing keeping Nai’molik from wandering into the light is Suurmox’s hands gingerly taking her face and swaying her vision to him before leading her away from the pile. It has happened four times today alone. You are sure your lamps are in there somewhere, but you cannot see them, by the light, you cannot see anything, and at this point you wonder if it is worth being lost to the visual pipe bomb that is this obsession.

High Above the Land (The Flying Machine):

A lovely and light tune that perfectly encapsulates both the beauty of the sky, as well as the dangers it contains. It's also interesting as rather than being composed by Jake Kaufman like most of the tracks in the game, this was composed by Manami Matsumae, who was one of the major composers for the Mega Man series!
