Damage to the Environment Is an Inevitable Consequence of Worldwide Improvements in the Standard of Livin Topics: Nuclear power, Energy development, Environment, World energy resources and consumption, Nuclear fission / Pages: 8 (1976 words) / Published: Sep 28th, 2012 Continue Reading Damage to the environment is an inevitable consequence of worldwide improvements in the standard of living. Discuss. Nowadays with the development of the economy and technology, humans pursue various material or mental comforts frequently. The standard of living is a social-economic indicator which reflects people’s quality of life (Steve Dowrick, Y. D., 2001). It can be measured by means of economic indicators (GDP per capita, income distribution, the price level) and social (infrastructure, education, health, culture, employment and environment). For example, manufacturers produce various different products to satisfy the needs and wants of customers. Moreover, infrastructure construction facilitates economic productivity and enhances societal living conditions, which provide essential facilities and infrastructure, such as wind, solar, nuclear power stations that gratify the energy needs of the public. However, maintaining a high standard of living at the same time, it also causes inevitable destruction to the environment. This dilemma includes deterioration of the environment, destruction of ecosystems, air and ocean pollution along with global warming. Although the level of productivity is a significant factor for the improvement of living standards, as more service and materials are available to support a high quality of living, as a result, environmental problems are a serious issue that should receives significant attention. Therefore, destruction to the environment is an inexorable consequence. The arguments of the influence of the environment in terms of acceleration of productivity and widespread infrastructure construction in relation to its effects on the environment will be featured. With rapid growth of the population and living in a consumer-oriented society, although acceleration of productivity upgrades the standard of living, it also contributes to the increasing rubbish problem, especially plastic trash, which harmful to the ocean life. 1970's From Mecum This XLCR is simply the baddest and blackest factory café racer ever built. The name says it all; the XL (Sportster) CR (café racer) was Willie G Davidson’s first masterpiece and his attempt as a young designer to capitalize on three huge global custom motorcycle trends in the 1970s: choppers, street trackers and café racers.
The Italian and British factories built production café racers aplenty, with Norton’s Roadster, Production Racer and John Player Special, Ducati’s 750 Sport and Super Sport, and Laverda’s Jota fairly dominating the high-performance café racer market. Harley-Davidson basically owned the street tracker and chopper styles, but these were aftermarket and home-built machines, not production-ready street motorcycles, regardless that the XLCH Sportster was still among the hottest street bikes around.
American styling had evolved from dirt racing, not from the Grand Prix circuit as with Norton and the Italian factories, so how does one make a Harley-Davidson café racer without looking like a foreign machine? Willie G. Davidson, grandson of the company founder, managed to combine a flat-track style tank and seat with a small fairing and low handlebars to create an XL Café Racer prototype in 1976. With approval from the Board at AMF (who owned Harley-Davidson at the time), the 1977 XLCR was produced, becoming the fastest model in Harley-Davidson’s lineup at 115 MPH and the company’s first motorcycle with a triple Kelsey-Hayes disc-brake setup.
The styling was far more brutal than any Italian or British café racer; with a small half-fairing, squared-lozenge tank, dirt-track tail section, groovy two-into-one-into-two matte black exhaust, cast Morris wheels and that triple black finish, it was a menacing and macho sports motorcycle and an instant classic.
This stunning, original 1977 Harley-Davidson XLCR was an original American bike imported in the 1990s to Sweden and the MC Collection. It’s an original, low-mileage bike and one of only 3,133 XLCRs manufactured. We don’t need to explain its appeal: it’s simply one of the best-looking Harley-Davidson’s ever built.

8 - A Great Journalist? Posters say "No"!
The reasons of the valdalism seem to be always the same: the constant tribute to the memory of an awful journalist, who was also a (ex) fascist, anticommonist, racist and colonialist.
Indro Montanelli only merit was surviving a terrorist attack from Red Brigades as a result of his being a right-wing journalist with a fascist past never fully denied. Unfortunately when they shot in the legs, they turn him into a freedom martyr, who Montanelli was not.
Here there are some examples of what I'm talking about:
1. “We will never be rulers if we do not have the exact awareness of our fatal superiority. He does not fraternize with niggers. You can't, you shouldn't. At least until a civilization has been given to them. […] This war is for us like a nice long holiday given to us by the Gran Babbo (Mussolini) as a reward for thirteen years of school. And, said among us, it was time. None of us hope that the war will end, we have only one desire: to continue!" (Indro Montanelli, article published on Fascist Civilization, 1936)
2. On the use, removed for decades, of lethal chemical weapons during the Ethiopian war, Montanelli stubbornly stood on a denial line. In the end, after the Dini government in 1995-96, definitively clarified the modalities and dimensions of the use of aggressive chemicals, he had to apologize.
3. "Captain, it's a senseless sentence," he wrote to Priebke - German war criminal, Gestapo agent and captain of the SS during the Second World War, responsable of the Fosse Ardeatine massacre, a reprisal for an Italian partisan attack on German troops. 335 men were executed, 10 italian civilians for each German soldier who had been killed in the attack - in 1996, "As an old soldier, and even of an Army very different from yours, I know very well that you could not do anything other than what you did [...] Best wishes, Mr. Captain ".
4. Montanelli wrote to the US ambassador Clare Booth Luce in 1954, informing her of the formation of a paramilitary anti-communist organization and asking her to guarantee the help of the American army in terms of arms, fleet and aviation: “If at the next election a Popular Front however constituted popular reached the majority, what Scelba [ Mario Scelba (5 September 1901 – 29 October 1991) was an Italian politician who served as the 33rd Prime Minister of Italy from February 1954 to July 1955] would do? It would deliver power, and it would be the end ... Any man of government, even non-Christian Democrats today, would surrender for the total impossibility of carrying out a coup d'etat ... The police and the army are polluted with communism. The carabinieri without the King, have lost every bite. And across the country there is no force capable of supporting the action of a resolute man. We must create this force. You can't go wrong looking at the history of our country, which is that of an abuse imposed by a minority of one hundred thousand sticks. Majorities in Italy have never counted: they have always been in tow with this handful of men who did everything with violence, the unification of Italy, its wars and its revolutions. This minority still exists and is not a communist [...] Faced with this reality, I find myself in this dilemma: to defend Democracy until accepting, for it, the death of Italy; or defend Italy to accept, or even hasten, the death of Democracy? My choice is made. "

5."In Italy, a pickaxe blow to the closed houses was enough to bring down the entire building, based on three fundamental props: the Catholic Faith, the Fatherland and the Family. Because it was in the so-called brothels that these three institutions found their safest guarantee, "wrote Addio Wanda, published in 1958 in opposition to the Merlin Law, the law that closed brothels and criminalized forced induction to prostitution. Montanelli was against the Merlin Law because “(...) The day in which they are allowed to live their life without fear of ending up in those menageries, Italy is destined to become one of the many countries of Protestant morality and customs, where the condition of virgin it does not exist, just as there is no whore, all women being united in an intermediate limbo; and where the family no longer exists, your duties having been absorbed by the society (...) Madam, do not delude yourself, either as an Ambassador or as a convert: between Cardinal Ruffini and the abstinent chaste vegetarian standard bearers of Initiative, the true Catholic is the cardinal, who does not do the Robinson Crusoé of Virtue. Like military chaplains, who are authentic priests because they live among authentic men (...) Tits and flag, Madam. They are the summary of the history of Italy, its inseparable pillars, its engine, the key to understanding it. To abolish one is to destroy the other. " N.B: Althought Montanelli portrays in a very negative way the end of the traditional view of women as “virgins” or “whores” - I Think he would be glad to know that in Italy this way to see women in society never really ended - and also called feminists and abolitionists “churchy” - even if he ws the one who actually defended brothels and forced prostitution to protect the Church and the traditional families -, he wrote unitentionally some good point of feminism goals!
6. "Ah! Sicily! - he states in February 1960 in an interview with the prestigious French magazine Le Figaro Letteraire - You have Algeria, we have Sicily. But you are not obliged to tell the Algerians that they are French. We, an aggravating circumstance, are obliged to grant the Sicilians the quality of Italians".
“Ah! La Sicilia! Voi avete l’Algeria, noi abbiamo la Sicilia. Ma voi non siete obbligati a dire agli algerini che sono francesi. Noi, circostanza aggravante, siamo obbligati ad accordare ai siciliani la qualità di italiani”.
7. Oxford riot, September 1962. Segregationists protest against the enrollment of James Meredith, the first black man to do so, at the University of Mississippi. The clashes make 2 dead and 300 injured. This is the comment of Indro Montanelli, in the Corriere della Sera of October 3, 1962: “(...) Little by little America is realizing that with this problem it must live together because it cannot solve it. Or rather, it can solve it only in the legal context of equality of civil rights. Biologically, no. Because it will be unfair, it will be repugnant, it will be rationally inexplicable and unacceptable; but it is a fact that mingling with blacks has given catastrophic results wherever it has been practiced. I know I say a heresy, for the times that are running, but I prefer heresy to hypocrisy.”
8. Backed by Giorgio Bocca, he called the journalist de l'Unità Tina Merlin, who denounced the human faults in the Vajont Disaster [ On 9 October 1963, during initial filling, a landslide caused a megatsunami in the lake in which 50 million cubic metres of water overtopped the dam in a wave of 250 metres (820 ft), leading to the complete destruction of several villages and towns, and 1,917 deaths. Although the dam itself remained almost intact and two-thirds of the water was retained behind it, the landslide was much larger than expected and the impact brought massive flooding and destruction to the Piave Valley below. This event occurred after the company and the Italian government concealed reports and dismissed evidence that Monte Toc, on the southern side of the basin, was geologically unstable. They had disregarded numerous warnings, signs of danger, and negative appraisals, and the eventual attempts to safely control the landslide by lowering the lake's level came when the landslide was almost imminent.] "jackal". He will make amends twice, in 1997 and 1998, from La Stanza di Montanelli in Corriere della Sera, confessing two serious faults: to have arrived on the spot without knowing anything about the dam and to have taken a totally ideological position in favor of the responsible company, Sade, only because it is contrary to the nationalization of electricity.
9. In a cable of January 12, 1978, declassified by US Government and published by WikiLeaks, called "Montanelli sees the blood ahead", US diplomats report in Washington in 1978 what they define the "tactics" of the journalist: blackmailing the DCs [Demo-Christian Party] ready to make concessions to the communists and sink Berlinguer to return the PCI [Italian Communist Party] to the hard line. Going back to the hard line, the next step would be a civil conflict, in which the PCI would be destroyed. Perhaps - says the journalist - Italy would have a Pinochet-like democracy. That would be a hellish prospect, but better than a government with the PCI.
10. In the Giornale of 24 October 1980 Montanelli wrote - inventing a source - that he had known, eleven years earlier, that is, immediately after the massacre in Piazza Fontana, that Pinelli, police informer, had confided to Commissioner Calabresi that the anarchists were preparing "something big". Then, when Calabresi, who obviously had recorded everything, made him feel the tape, Pinelli, not resisting the idea that his companions qualified him as informer, would have thrown himself out the window. Needless to say, they were all lies. Called to answer his statements in court Montanelli had to repeatedly apologize, admit that he was wrong, that he was misunderstood, that he did not express himself well, that he invented relevant details from a healthy point of view. In front of the judges he had to take everything back, so much so that the attorney general said "And since I was a boy I always gave him a kind of myth, today this myth has collapsed". "When he wrote unpredictably, on his admission, to be interrogated as witnesses in a public trial ... therefore with the inevitable consequence of being misguided. On the other hand, he threw the thesis back into circulation and he loved the responsibility of the anarchists in the massacre" .

Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I had a pretty good day … but it’s night now here in Florida and I am starting to hurt pretty badly…. I think I over did it today.
I noticed that I haven’t done any Monthly Beauty Favorites so I thought I’d start a new series for this blog… hope you like it.
Before we start I just wanted to shade with you what I made for dinner tonight! I am so proud of myself. I’ve never made Salmon on my own… I always just order it from a restaurant… but with the national quarantine and all the sit down restaurants being closed I’ve had to step out of my comfort zone and teach myself to cook things I normally would order out! so …. here it is …
Honey lemon Salmon and garlic butter and corn white rice. This dish was so sublime that I don’t think I’ll ever order Salmon when we go out to eat again!
Not all categories will have a high end and drugstore entry. Please Note that I am not sponsored by or affiliated with any of the products or companies that I mention in this blog post. * Warning this will be a long post … just grab a snack, something to drink and settle in … I promise you wont be sorry for reading this post….. Well … Without further ado …let’s get into my April 2020 Beauty Favorites.
Favorite Beauty Store:
Beautylish has got to be my all time favorite place to shop for all things beauty!!
I’ve been shopping at Beautylish for well over 5 years. Their customer service is of the highest quality. Their shipping rate is a flat rate of $5 on all orders (in the US it’s $5 on all orders under $35 anything above $35 is free shipping). The only downside is that they are unable to ship to P.O. boxes. They offer flex payments on orders of $100 or more where you pay a down payment and then they spread the rest of the bill over 3 to 4 payments depending how much the bill comes to. The down payment amount also depends on the amount spent… For example: I just placed an order for $102. I paid $37 as the down payment and the rest was split into 3 equal payments to be due on the 1st of each month. The due date depends on the date of purchase. I tend to pay my flex payments off faster than the allotted time, but it’s great to know I have the 3 months just in case I need them. Beautylish also ships international the the following countries: Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium,Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE, U.K., and U.S. Beautylish carries the following brands:

I truly love to shop with them because the take time to package my purchases with care, it never takes more than a week to get my packages (except for now, it’s taking about 2-3 weeks because of the Corona Virus), and they have a great return policy: Their website states that their return policy is: If you are less than completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return your order within 60 days (from the delivery date) for a refund. We regret that we are unable to cover return shipping costs or refund the original shipping and duties charges unless the return was due to our error. Products must be returned in new or gently used condition. If your product arrived either damaged or defective, please contact us right away. Sets/bundles are sold as-is and products cannot be substituted, customized, and/or returned individually.
I’ve never had any issues with their services, in fact there was 1 time around 3 years ago that I ordered something from the brand It Cosmetics and the wrong item was delivered to me, I contact them straight away and they sent me out the product I had originally ordered that same day and as a way to apologize for the mistake they even allowed me to keep the product that I had received in error.
Favorite Amazon Beauty Finds:
Pixnor 5″3″ Stainless Steel Makeup Palette with Spatula Tool $6.99 on Amazon: I am so happy I purchased this!! I use to apply foundation to the back of my hand and then bonce my sponge off my hand … what I found is that this would cause waste of product because some of the foundation would sink into my skin and I would have to use more foundation… now I just apply a few pumps onto the palette and there is zero waste. I also love the spatula because I can use it to scrape moisturizers out of the jar without having to use my fingers. I also use the spatula to mix dew drops into my foundation and now I don’t have a big mess on my hands.
Segbeauty 5.4oz/160ml Continuous Spray Plastic Squirt Bottle With A Fine Mist $14.99 on Amazon: This bottle is a curly hair girls dream!! It provides just the right amount of moisture without over-wetting your hair. It has a 360 degree sprayer and it’s perfect for re-wetting hair in the morning to restyle and freshen up curls. This bottle has changed my hair game for the better.
Every Drop Beauty Spatula $5.89 on Amazon. I’ve always hated the thought that there was still product in the bottom and sides of my products after I’ve run out. I started cutting plastic tubes open to get every last drop on product out but with bottles you just can’t do that. I came across this little baby when I was just browsing the beauty tools section of Amazon one day and thought OH! PERFECT!!! This spatula gets all the way to the bottom, the sides, and even the shoulders of bottles! I now have zero waste with my beauty products. I love this item so much that I have ordered it’s baby sister product the Every Drop Lip Spatula for $5.49 I ordered 2 one for lipsticks and lip glosses and one for concealers and other small wand items. This has truly helped me not waste my money by allowing me to get every last drop of product out of their containers.
Favorite Makeup Tool:
Face Halo Makeup Remover Pads: $17.60 for a 3 pack on Amazon. This little puppy is the perfect accompaniment to my vastly growing Eco-friendly arsenal. I find that I do not use as much of my Bioderma now because I am not using it to take off my makeup before I use it as my first cleanse…. 1 round is enough to completely remove all of my makeup from my face, neck, and ear lobes! You just soak it with warm water and remove your makeup… and it does remove 100% of my makeup, including lash glue! I just simply wash it after every use and it dries quickly too. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a way to reduce your carbon foot print on the planet!
Favorite Makeover Product:
Schwarzkopf Keratin Permanent Hair Color Cream in the shade 4.6 Intense Cocoa $9.97 on Amazon (but Amazon only allows you to purchase 1 so I ordered 3 more from Walgreens.com buy 2 get 1 free for the same price). This was the first time I used this product and I’ve gotta tell ya … This has got to be the BEST boxed hair color on the market. It has Anti-Breakage Technology called K·BOND-PLEX technology (that repairs inner hair structure) and a Pre-Color Serum (that leaves your hair looking healthy and strong, with less hair breakage). It also doesn’t have that harsh hair dye smell to it. In fact my hair smelled so good that it was like I had just simply washed my hair. The conditioner it comes with left my hair so smooth and soft and fluffy. I believe they use the same technology as Olaplex does because my hair felt as if I had just done an Olaplex treatment to it. This will definitely be a product I repurchase again and again.
Favorite Candle:
Bath and Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel 3 Wick Candle: This sadly is my last Vanilla Bean Noel candle… I purchase this scent every year at Christmas time … I stock up when they have their holiday sale and typically purchase 20 of them… it’s just the best scent ever
Favorite Body Care Item:
Nivea Essentially Enriched Body Lotion with Almond Oil $5 at Walmart for 16.9 Fluid Ounces: I use to use Bath and Body Works body creams but with my Fibromyalgia I tend to get very sensitive itchy skin and have noticed that the Bath and Body Works creams would aggravate my already sensitive skin … So on a whim I picked this up a few months ago. Firstly a little of this goes a long way. It’s very creamy and very hydrating and has a soft Almond scent to it. It sinks in quickly and doesn’t leave me body feeling greasy. I’m pleasantly surprised at how wonderful this product is.
Favorite Hair Care Item:
Olaplex No 6 Bond Smoother $28 for 3.3 fluid ounces at Sephora and No 7 Bonding Oil $28 for 1 fluid ounces at Sephora: These two products work together you add a few drops of the oil into the smoother and mix it together. I use this once about ever few days to revive my curls… since I don’t wash my hair everyday I need something to help my curls revive. I typically only wash my hair 1 time a week since I don’t put any hair products into my hair. This not only smells amazing, it leaves my hair soft and replenished and defines my curls when they start to go a bit frizzy. A little bit goes along way I only use a quarter sized amount of the smoother and about 5 drops of the oil. This is another item that has seriously upped my curly girl hair game.
Favorite Movie : (I know this isn’t beauty related, but I take my movie time to do my spa treatments … so I included it as a favorite.)
Synopsis: When Cecilia’s abusive ex takes his own life and leaves her his fortune, she suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of coincidences turn lethal, Cecilia works to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see. This was a very well thought out movie with lots of twists and turns. Highly Recomend.
Favorite Spa Day Item:
Revolution Skincare x Jake-Jamie Avocado Face Mask $11 for 1.6 ounces at Ulta: This mask is amazingly moisturizing. I use it once a week and my skin feels heavenly afterwards.
Favorite Skincare Item:
I tried a ton of skincare in the month of April and there were several things that I loved but I would have to say that my all time favorite item(s) are as follows:
My 2 whole face (including eyes) serum routine: #1. Good Molecules Super Peptide Serum $12 for 1 fluid ounce through Beautylish (it’s also sold on the Good Molecules website) and it’s function is to target fine lines, wrinkles, and dullness. #2. Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid Serum $6 for 1 fluid ounce through Beautylish (it’s also sold on the Good Molecules website) and it’s function is to replenish your skin’s moisture by drawing moisture into the skin for deep hydration. My skin has never looks this good since I was in my teens. Both these serums are light weight and sink into the skin quickly and you only need 1/2 a dropper for your full face and neck … I also use whatever is left on my hands to rub into my hands as sort of a treat for my hands.
La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra Light Face Sunscreen Fluid Broad Spectrum SPF 60: $29.99 for 1.7 fluid ounces and I purchase mine through Amazon. Ever since I starting using this sunscreen I have decluttered all other facial sunscreens. This is the perfect consistency for me. It’s light weight and hydrating. It sinks into the skin amazingly fast. It doesn’t interfere with my makeup application and it doesn’t have that sunscreen scent. BONUS: It’s a 60+ sunscreen which is the ideal level of protection for the face.
Favorite Face Primer:
Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer $39 for .5 ounces at Ulta and Sephora: I typically switch up my face primers every day or two but the one that I use everyday is this one. It just fills in my pores so well that I reach for it time and time again over all of my pore primers.
Favorite High End Foundation:
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation $44 for 1 fluid ounce through Beautylish (but can also be purchased through Sephora and the Charlotte Tilbury website). As I said in my haul of this item this is such a beautiful foundation. I just can’t stop looking at my face anytime I’m wearing it. This full coverage foundation leaves my skin looking youthful and flawless. It plays well with dew drops mixed in and plays well with any primer. I will always have this foundation in my collections.
Favorite Drug Store Foundation:
Believe Beauty Skin Finish Foundation: $5 for .85 fluid ounces only at Dollar General Stores. This foundation surprised me I truly didn’t believe that this was going to be a good foundation, however it is a FANTASTIC foundation and is is a medium to full coverage. This is a semi-dewy foundation. What I mean is it’s just dewy enough to give you that youthful look without being to extreme. It lasts all day and doesn’t break down. I hope they never stop making this foundation!
Favorite High End BB/CC/Tinted Moisturizer:
Tarte Maracuja Tinted Moisturizer $29 for 1 fluid ounce of product at Ulta. This is a super dewy product but not in a greasy sort of way. It’s light coverage and sets with powder nicely. This is such a beautiful product.. so much so that I purchased a back up just in case they pull it off the shelves. I find that it’s best to apply this one with your fingers since it’s such light coverage that using a sponge with soak it all up and using a brush will leave it looking streaky.
Favorite Concealer:
NYX Born to Glow Radiant Concealer $9 for .14 fluid ounces at Ulta. This is such a beautiful concealer! It doesn’t settle into my fine lines as long as I set it straight away upon application. It doesn’t crack throughout the day. A little tiny bit is all you need. It’s full coverage without being super thick. It gives an amazing glow to the under eye that can still be seen even after you set it with powder. I’d probably go out on a limb and say this may be my favorite concealer all year.
Favorite Cream Bronzer/Contour: I wont be having 2 categories for this one… mainly because I don’t have a drug store option for this category as of yet, I have since purchased a drug store option today.
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand in the shade 2 Medium/Dark $38 for .41 fluid ounces purchased through Beautylish (but can be purchased at Sephora and the Charlotte Tilbury website). I can’t believe I am saying that this is my favorite!! I have loved the Chanel Soleil De Chanel cream bronzer for so long that I didn’t think anything would ever replace it! Sad to say the Chanel bronzer was discontinued and a new cream bronzer replaced it … it looks more hydrating than the one I have so I’m keen to try it however … let’s talk Hollywood Contour Wand shall we!? This is the first cream contour product I’ve ever tried (bronze to me didn’t seem as scary as cream contour did). It is easy to use, easy to blend in, and gives the skin a natural looking contour. This is a light weight very pigmented product. You don’t get much product for the price tag, however a very little goes a very long way. I use 1 squeeze ever 2 days (it’s a sponge tipped applicator so the product stays in the sponge… I just squeeze 1 time and have enough product left over on the sponge that the next day I just have to dot what remains over the perimeter of my face. Unlike the Chanel bronzer this product doesn’t disrupt my foundation underneath. I love this product so much that I place an order today for a back up.
Favorite Matte Bronzer/Contour:
Mac Bronzing Powder in the shade matte bronze: $30 for .35 ounces of product. I’ve had this compact for probably way too long because it’s starting to get hard pan, so I scraped the hard pan off … the powder works fine. The picture of the hand on the left is without flash and the one on the right is with flash. It’s just the perfect everyday natural looking bronzer. You can’t over do it with this bronzer since it’s so light of coverage. I always love my look when I’m wearing this one.
Favorite Glowy Bronzer :
Tarte Limited Edition Park Ave Princess Waterproof Face & Body Bronzer $34 for .55 ounces of product at Ulta. I do love a good glowy bronzer and this one does not disappoint! It’s the perfect shade, has just the right amount of glow without having shimmer to it … it’s just this glow from within! I just love how my skin looks with this bronzer on.
Favorite Dewy Primer:
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter in the shade #3 Light/Medium $44 for 1.01 fluid ounces on the Beautylish website (can also be purchased from Sephora or the Charlotte Tilbury website). Ever since getting this product in I have not been able to put it down! It’s freaking amazing!!! AMAZING! It has just enough of a tint that this could be worn alone for “No Makeup” makeup days and has the perfect amount of glow without having any shimmer to it. 1 swipe per zone is all you need of this primer. It’s not sticky or greasy and it does hold foundation nicely.
Favorite Cream Highlighter:
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand $39 for .41 fluid ounces on the Beautylish website (can also be purchased from Sephora or the Charlotte Tilbury website). I have tried many cream highlighters and hate every single one, until this one came into my life! This highlighter is just magical! It doesn’t disrupt the foundation under neither, it melts into the skin seamlessly, and it has no glitter to it… just a natrual looking glow. The glow can still be seen even after setting it with powder! I haven’t been able to stop using it because I’m so in love with it.
Favorite High End Face Powder:
Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder in the shade Translucent $33 for .53 ounces of product at Ulta and Sephora. This powder has the most beautiful finish ever! It give a slight glow to the skin without looking like glitter or shimmer. This one has taken the place of my beloved Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in my heart. I just never want to be without it!!! It doesn’t take much of this powder to set the full face either. I tap 3 shakes into the cap and that sets my full face! It even looks amazing under the eyes.
Favorite Drug Store Face Powder:
Believe Beauty Matte Blur Loose Powder in the shade Translucent $5 for .14 ounces of product sold only at Dollar General. This is such a light weight powder that sets the face flawlessly. It is matte but doesn’t leave the face looking cakey or dry. It even looks good under the eyes. I have repurchased this 2 time since discovering it and I have 2 back ups.
Favorite High End Finishing and Touch Up Setting Powder:
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder $45 for .28 ounces of product on the Beautylish website (can also be purchased at Sephora and on the Charlotte Tilbury website). This gives the prettiest soft focus to the face and doesn’t change the look of your makeup when you touch up with it. I find on days that I wear this one as a finishing powder I don’t have to touch up at all. I don’t quiet like this one as a setting powder, just as a finishing powder and touch up powder and sad to say I have hit pan … this is the most expensive pressed powder I own but it’s so worth it and I will definitely be repurchasing it when I’ve finished it.
Favorite Drug Store Finishing and Touch Up Setting Powder:
JCat Beauty AquaSurance Compact Foundation $13.99 for .31 ounces of product at Ulta. This is a spot on dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder. It’s basically a fuller coverage version and I can use it to set my set as well and I never have to touch up at all when I use this powder.
Favorite Powder Highlighter:
Benefit Boxed Highlighter in the shade Cookie $30 for .28 ounces of product at Ulta and Sephora. OH BABY! This highlighter is so pretty and little is all you need. This is a beaming highlighter so definitely not for low maintenance makeup day but add this to your full glam look and watch out…. it’s the perfect highlighter to be noticed in.
Favorite Blush:
Tarte 12-HR Amazonian Clay Blush in the shade Captivating $29 for .2 ounce of product at Ulta and Sephora. This is the best just pinched shade I’ve ever owned. I wore it a ton in April and for good reason. It goes with everything from “No Makeup” makeup looks to full on glam looks. It lasts all day and is probably my all time favorite blush shade.
Favorite Lip Combo:
L’Oreal Rouge Signature Lightweight Matte Lip Stain ($5.99 at Ulta) in the shade 448 I-Tease (a soft taupey pink matte) a few dots of Makeup Geek Creme Stain ($11.99 on their website) in the shade Jitterbug (an intense coral matte) a touch of NARS Lip Gloss ($24 on the NARS website) in the shade Stripe Tease (Sheer champagne nude). This makes the perfect shade for every look. I’ve worn this only for the past few days of April but I can already tell it will be worn a ton in the month of May.
Favorite Powder to Set My Under Eyes:
Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder $28 for .14 ounces of product at Ulta and Sephora. This just leaves the under eyes looking flawless and it sets every concealer I own except the Dermablend concealer (that concealer is just too heavy and took emollient that nothing really sets it and I would return it but I lost the uni-carton it came in so Ulta wont take it back). I wish this came in a larger jar because I just know I will be repurchasing this over and over. It gives this soft focus glow to the under eye area that isn’t shimmery or glittery … just a sort of glow from within look.
Favorite Brow Pencil:
Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil $24 at Ulta and Sephora for .27 ounces of product. I have purchased this pencil 2 time since discovering it and I have 1 back up. This is just the most effortless brow product ever. I almost never have a bad brow day when I use this pencil. It’s a definite recommend in my book.
Favorite Brow Gel:
Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel $4 for .2 ounces of product sold only at Dollar General. Even though it’s only got .2 ounces of product this brow gel lasts a long time. You only need 1 pass of the wand to fully set your brow. It is never crunchy and never goes flaky. The picture is of my back ups … this sucker goes fast at the store so I pick up 2 or 3 every time I go to Dollar General so I never run out. I adore this one so much that I never reach for my other brow gels.
Favorite High End Eye Shadow Palette:
Too Faced Born This Way The Natural Nudes Eyeshadow Palette $45. It has 8 matte shades and 8 shimmer shades and you get .48 total ounces of product and is sold at Ulta and Sephora. Some of my all time favorite looks this past month have come from this palette! I just adore it so much. Too Faced really hit it out of the park with this one.
Favorite Drug Store Eye Shadow Palette: (I have 3, 1 is a bit more pricier, 1 is mid-ranged and the other is super inexpensive)
ColourPop Bare Necessities 30 Pan Eyeshadow Palette $34 on the ColourPop website. I have created so many beautiful neutral eye looks with this palette! With 30 shades I never get bored of this one.
Believe Beauty Eyeshadow Palette in the color story: Nearly Nude $5 only sold at Dollar General. It’s just simple an amazing palette. I was highly impressed with this one. I got a few looks out of it and it’s the perfect size for travel.
Catrice Basic Bae Eyeshadow Palette $14.99 at Ulta. This was the first thing I ever tried from Catrice and I was super impressed! The shadows are super pigmented and blend like a dream.
Favorite Eye Liner:
Charlotte Tilbury The Classic Powder Eye Pencil in the shade Audrey $22 on the Beautylish website (but can also be purchased at Sephora and on the Charlotte Tilbury website). Now this one was a surprise to me. I hated this pencil when I first tried it…. I could never get it to work… Well I finally figured it out and I am in love. It gives such a effortless look to the eyes when I use it. This will be a repurchase when I run out.
Favorite Mascara:
Milani Dangerous Lengths 3D Mascara regularly $9.99 nut currently on sale for $7.49 at Ulta. This is another item that surprised me but ever since I’ve been conditioning my lashes with the Jamaican Black Castor Oil my lashes have been looking so nice and combined with the mascara I just fell in love…. I can’t believe I have a favorite mascara and it’s, for the first time in years, not the L’Oreal voluminous Carbon Black!!! This just gives a nice fluffy airy look to the lashes.
Favorite Inner Corner Highlight:
Hikari Creme Pigment in the shade Honey Dew $15 on their website. I have been using this for a few years now but I just can’t seem to stay away. It just give the prettiest lilt to the inner corners.
Favorite Setting Spray: (I have 2 this month)
ColourPop Hyaluronic Acid Setting Mist $12 for 3.72 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and on the ColourPop website. This setting spray smells like the beach and leaves the skin looking dewy and healthy. It holds your makeup fairly well … I don’t really need a setting spray that will hold my makeup on until the wee hours of the morning, I just need a spray that will take down the powderiness of freshly applied makeup. I’ve been using this bottle for 2 months and I’m almost out of it. This makes me sad because it’s sold out everywhere. I think this may just be my favorite setting spray of the year.
Belif Aqua Bomb Mist $34 for 2 2.02 fluid ounces of product on the Beautylish website (but can also be purchased at Ulta and Sephora). This one adds tons of hydration to the skin and I love it as a touch up spray too. Lately I have been using it in combination with the other setting spray just to add a bit more hydration to my under eye area.
Favorite Find of the Year So Far:
HonHey Portable Hand Held Rechargeable Fan. $13 on Amazon. I purchased this back in the beginning of March but it has quickly become my favorite beauty extra! It helps me dry my setting spray and lash glue. It also helps keep me cooler when the hot lights of my makeup table start to make me over heat. It has a great charge life as well.
Well … We have reached the end dolls. Thank you ever so much for hanging in there with this post …. I know it was a long one … but this is the flagship post of this series and I thought I should be as thorough as possible with at least the first in the series… Now that’s not to say I wont have heaps of favorites in any given month, but I may just have a few favorites in other months too.
Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that your spirits are high and your health is good! Remember dolls, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
XOXO
April 2020 Beauty Favorites Hey doll hey!!! How's your day/night going? Great I hope. I had a pretty good day ...

Control, curation and musical experience in streaming music services
In this paper from 2015, the authors examine how prominent music streaming services position themselves in the marketplace, based on their interfaces, the quality of their curatorial devices, the identity projected for users and the control users have over their music (or, lack thereof). They argue that streaming services are in the business of creating branded musical experiences, which appear to offer fluid and abundant musical content but, in reality, create restricted tiers of content access for a variety of scenarios, users and listening environments (Morris & Powers, 2015).
The recorded music industries have shifted away from the sale of recordings like physical albums or downloaded MP3s and toward subscription models that sell access to vast collections of musical content. This presents listeners with a vast number of possibilities regarding both the music they can readily hear and the platforms through which they might hear it (Morris & Powers, 2015).
Streaming services seem to be the realisations to Goldstein’s (1994) ‘celestial jukebox’, the dream of any music imaginable available at any moment through the press of a button. These services foster new cultures, practices and economies of musical circulation and consumption but they also create a crowded marketplace and challenge the norms of media consumption in an era of digital streaming.
As streaming is growing and downloads and CD sales decline (Bond, 2017), streaming services are still on the process of convincing hesitant consumers to adopt this technology as their primary method of musical consumption, while distinguishing themselves from their competitors, a tricky task in an era of limitless content (Morris & Powers, 2015).
Streaming’s aquatic connotations play on the notion of music and media as a kind of utility. Music should be like water or electricity, where consumers pay a monthly fee in return for an always on, always utilisable entertainment (Kusek and Leonhard, 2005).
Streaming services have also promoted a vision of the future where streaming provides a totalising musical atmosphere to satisfy any musical need at any moment. Spotify CEO Daniel Ek, for instance, has said he envisions a future in which a ‘musical soundtrack’, tailored for each of us, fitting for the moment will encircle us at all times (Morris & Powers, 2015).“We’re not in the music space – we’re in the moment space”, he said. The idea is to use song analytics and user data to help both human and A.I. curators select the right songs for certain activities or moods and build playlists for those moments. The playlists can be customized according to an individual user’s ‘taste profile’ (Seabrook, 2014).
A branded experience encompasses a wide range of activities that take place both in the physical and digital worlds, including experiential stunts, corporate events, employee/consumer interactions in-store or via phone, or even the use of a brand’s app or website. That is because each of these things offers a meaningful experience that can either increase or reduce a person’s brand affinity. Effective brand experiences are designed to create specific, valuable interactions between brans and/or products and services and the people that matter most to them. If done well, these interactions can result in deeper emotional connections and greater brand affinity. If done poorly, they can have the opposite effect (Henderson, 2017).
Streaming services define themselves according to the styles of musical access they offer, deriving from their interface, quality, taste and the control over music they allow. The combination of these variables, unique to each service, amounts to what the authors of the paper call a branded musical experience. More than a simple brand identity, the branded musical experience corresponds to real differences in what a consumer is able to listen to and do within each service (Morris & Powers, 2015). The authors argue that “the branded musical experience identifies a larger shift in musical consumption in which consumers do not own nor fully control discrete musical collections but instead buy into cloud-based libraries, accessible via constant connection to the Internet” (Morris & Powers, 2015).
The shift toward a branded musical experience encloses notable changes in music’s circulation. Quantifying and deploying a listener’s affective relationship to music in the presentation and curation of that music, whether through the facilitation of ‘liking’ or ‘favouriting’ tracks or more aggressively through mood-based or time-of-the-day-based playlists and highly personalized recommendation algorithms, streaming services aim to articulate, understand, and, in some cases, even shape listeners sentiments. Users might resist the idea of the subjective nature of playlists entitled ‘Unrequited Love’, ‘Life Sucks’ or ‘Forever Alone’ playlists (Spotify) and might be especially sceptical when they discover that these mood-based playlists frequently repackage the same individual songs/artists that are popular elsewhere on the service (one person’s ‘Life Sucks’ song is another person’s ‘Caffeine Rush’), but these are evidence that judging these services based on the quality, accuracy or fit of their recommendations is misleading. Instead, “their emphasis on the affective dimensions of music consumption and discovery are part of establishing the quality and identity of their service. In an ecosystem where many of the services offer the same catalogues of musical content, the affective cues and features for discovering and encountering music become the main point of differentiation” (Morris & Powers, 2015).
The analysis of consumer tastes and their behavioural and social data permits the construction of personalized understandings of individual users, and therefore, tailored experiences, but also, in aggregate, it shapes recommendations algorithms, social features and advertising (Andrejevic, 2007). In other words, digital streaming services depend on a form of communicative capitalism (Dean 2010) where discourse about music is more valuable to these services than the music itself.
“The likes, plays, stars and comments provide the trackable, actionable data on music habits which can then be used to generate other kinds of sellable data. The fluid and copiously flowing stream of plays and discourse enables digital music services new means of extracting profit and value from the musical consumption process, especially in an era when much of this consumption occurs through free or ad-supported accounts. While selling music has always involved measuring and understanding audiences, these services embed features that measure users’ affective investments in music, and then deploy the resulting data in service of future recommendation and curation. Thus, not only does this information recursively filter back into an individual user’s experience (so, for better or worse, a service becomes more individualized), but it is also used to inform artist royalty rates (which are based on individual play counts) and promotion (as in the case of Spotify’s featured artists program)” (Morris & Powers, 2015).

Lucy and the Golden Greek
S4;E2 ~ September 20, 1965
Synopsis
Lucy's new neighbor Mary Jane fixes her up with a lifeguard, a mousy man who only comes alive when under the spell of Greek music.
Regular Cast
Lucille Ball (Lucy Carmichael), Gale Gordon (Theodore J. Mooney), Mary Jane Croft (Mary Jane Lewis)
The is the first appearance of Mary Jane Croft as Mary Jane Lewis. Croft previously played the recurring role of Audrey Simmons when the show was set in Danfield. She was married to former “Lucy Show” producer Elliott Lewis meaning that Mary Jane Lewis is Croft's legal name as well as her character name.
Guest Cast
Howard Morris (Howard Coe) is probably best remembered as Ernest T. Bass on “The Andy Griffith Show,” which filmed on the Desilu lot. His last appearance as Bass aired just one week after this episode of “The Lucy Show” and was the lead in to “Lucy in the Music World” (S4;E3). From the mid 1960's Morris was active as a voice artist for hundreds of cartoon characters. On Broadway, he played Rosencrantz to Maurice Evans' Hamlet, as well as appearing in two musicals. This is his only appearance with Lucille Ball.
Howard is a professional lifeguard who has lived in California sixteen years and never had a date. His real name is Howard Colansankis and both his parents are Greek.
Robert Fortier (Jim Wells) was a dancer, actor, sailor and a commercial fisherman. He originated roles on Broadway in Pal Joey (1952) and Me and Juliet (1953). Fortier appeared in 47 feature films and TV productions from 1950 to 1985. He frequently worked with director Robert Altman. This is his only appearance with Lucille Ball.
Joe DeSantis (Headwaiter) was a veteran of a dozen Broadway plays from 1932 to 1980 as well as more than 150 screen credits. This is his only appearance with Lucille Ball.
Sid Gould (Waiter) made more than 45 appearances on “The Lucy Show,” all as background characters. He also did 40 episodes of “Here’s Lucy.” Gould (born Sydney Greenfader) was Lucille Ball’s cousin by marriage to Gary Morton. Gould was married to Vanda Barra, who also appeared on “The Lucy Show” starting in 1967, as well as on “Here’s Lucy.”
Various background performers play the customers of the Golden Greek, the Greek dancers, and the quartet.
The episode was filmed on June 3, 1965. On that date, American astronaut Ed White performed the first US spacewalk during the Gemini 4 mission. The title of the episode refers to a restaurant, not a character.
When the episode opens, Mary Jane says Lucy has been in Los Angeles about a month. She also manages to re-cap Lucy's life since she left Danfield thanks to the apartment's thin walls and a gossipy landlady. This is especially helpful for loyal viewers who may have missed “Lucy at Marineland” (S4;E1), where pretty much the same exposition was provided.
Lucy has brought her portable transistor radio with her from Danfield. It was featured in all three episodes that ended season three.
The layout of Lucy's second floor Los Angeles apartment is not unlike that of her Danfield home. The only addition is a plant-filled patio off the kitchen door.
Gale Gordon pronounces 'Los Angeles' with a hard 'g' (as in 'angle-eez') something he will do throughout “The Lucy Show” and “Here's Lucy.”
Mr. Mooney equates California to the Statue of Liberty: “Give me your tired, your poor, your weak, your lunatics, your cuckoo birds – and they all flock here!” This is a very loose paraphrase of Emma Lazarus's 1883 poem “The New Colossus” inscribed at the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty. While Mr. Mooney is saying these lines the underscoring is the patriotic song “America.”
For her blind date, Lucy wears a blue and green chiffon dress that perfectly matches her apartment. She also wears a blue satin coat that gets a few murmers of appreciation from the audience. Mary Jane told Lucy not to “dress to kill” for the date. Lucy replies that she'll just dress to “wound him a little.” Lucille Ball spends the entire episode dressed in blue, a color that favored her. This may be a reaction to the fact that CBS is now airing the series in color.
Handing the patrons tambourines, the headwaiter says “You can bang alone with Mitchapopolis.” This is a pun on “Sing Along With Mitch” (1961-1964), a very successful music TV show hosted by bandleader Mitch Miller. He was previously mentioned in “Lucy Puts Up a TV Antenna” (S1;E9).
After Howard tweaks Lucy cheek relentlessly, she calls him “Zorba the Tweak,” a pun on the title of the 1964 Oscar-winning film Zorba the Greek starring Anthony Quinn.
For the Greek folk dance where the men dance together, all the other dancers remove their suit coats except Howard and Jim.
Callback!
The sequence where love-crazed Howard chases Lucy around the dance floor is vaguely reminiscent of when a jealous Lucy Ricardo was pursued through Ricky's African dance number in “Cuban Pals” (ILL S1;E28).
Blooper Alert!
Not unlike her kitchen in Danfield, the layout of Lucy's Hollywood kitchen will change from episode to episode, depending on the plot needs.
“Lucy and the Golden Greek” rates 3 Paper Hearts out of 5

Beautiful Homes of Instagram: Classic Chicago Home Reno
Hello, my wonderful friends! How great it is to have you on the blog today. I am really excited to share this new beautiful home renovation by Edward Deegan Architects and Interiors. They are very talented and you guys always enjoy seeing their work whenever I feature it and I am sure it won’t be any different with this project. In fact, I must admit that I personally have been loving this project since I saw it on their Instagram and I got really excited when they sent it to me to share with all of you. Here, the designer has more details:
“Our goal for any remodel project is to create spaces that function and flow together better than before. We added some unique elements in the kitchen with the Walnut detail on the ends of the island and on the lip of the hood. We opted for a backsplash that was simple but still interesting. The dining room has a beautiful custom cabinet that holds all of their bar essentials. We kept the walls neutral and painted the trim the same color as the bar.”

CECP Welcomes CEOs of Aptiv (APTV), Henry Schein (HSIC), Philip Morris International (PM), Verisk Analytics (VRSK), and Welltower (WELL) to Present Long-Term Plans at Strategic Investor Initiative’s 8th CEO Investor Forum
CECP’s Strategic Investor Initiative (SII) announced that five CEOs—representing over $230 billion in market capitalization—will present their companies’ Long-Term Plans to institutional investors at CECP’s 8th CEO Investor Forum on February 24th, 2020, in New York City. The event will take place from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in New York City. While the event is at capacity, buy side and sell side investors, and financial media are invited to watch the presentations via the live webcast. Register today.
To date, more than 30 CEOs have shared their Long-Term Plans at seven CEO Investor Forums. The upcoming event will feature presentations from:
Stanley Bergman, Chairman & CEO, Henry Schein, Inc. (HSIC)
André Calantzopoulos, CEO, Philip Morris International (PM)
Kevin P. Clark, President & CEO, Aptiv PLC (APTV)
Thomas J. DeRosa, Chairman and CEO, Welltower (WELL)
Scott G. Stephenson, Chairman, President & CEO, Verisk Analytics (VRSK)
Sonali Basak, Wall Street Reporter, Bloomberg TV, will emcee the CEO Long-Term Plan presentations.
In addition, the following individuals will share their perspectives on long termism and reflections on progress since the Business Roundtable’s Statement on the Purpose of a Corporation:
David Abney, Chairman and CEO, UPS (UPS)
Alex Gorsky, Co-Chair, Strategic Investor Initiative and CEO, Johnson & Johnson (JNJ)
Rebecca Henderson, Professor, Harvard Business School
Deanna Mulligan, President & CEO, The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America
“Investors and CEOs consistently tell us that there is too much emphasis on delivering short-term results,” said Nandika Madgavkar, Senior Director, CECP’s Strategic Investor Initiative. “The benefits of achieving short-term results often sacrifice long-term value creation. The CEO Investor Forum is meant to break that cycle and give investors insights into how executives are positioning their companies to manage risks, address ‘megatrends,’ and create value for shareholders and stakeholders over the long-term.”
The morning portion of the day includes the 15th Annual CECP Board of Boards, a closed-door CEO-only case study discussion led by:
James Rhee, Executive Chairman & CEO, Ashley Stewart
Oscar Munoz, CEO, United Airlines
Gerry Anderson, Executive Chairman, DTE Energy
CECP is a coalition of over 200 of the world’s largest companies representing $6.6 trillion in revenues, $21.2 billion in societal investment, 14 million employees, and $15 trillion in assets under management. The Strategic Investor Initiative is a taskforce that leverages CECP’s CEO network to fundamentally change the conversation between CEOs, boards of directors, and investors from short-term profits to sustained long-term corporate performance by including financially material Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors. SII is co-chaired by Bill McNabb, former Chairman of Vanguard and Johnson & Johnson’s CEO Alex Gorsky. SII’s advisory board of leading investors represents more than $15 trillion in assets under management.
CECP is grateful for the generosity of its Advance the Movement supporters KPMG LLP, Newman’s Own Foundation, and USAA. The event is supported by Walmart, UBS Group AG, KPMG LLP, Ford Foundation, Bloomberg LP, and Heron Foundation.

ABOUT CHIEF EXECUTIVES FOR CORPORATE PURPOSE (CECP) Founded in 1999 by actor and philanthropist Paul Newman and other business leaders to create a better world through business, CECP has grown to a movement of more than 200 of the world’s largest companies that represent $6.6 trillion in revenues, $21.2 billion in social investment, 14 million employees, and $15 trillion in assets under management. CECP helps companies transform their social strategy by providing customized connections and networking, counsel and support, benchmarking and trends, and awareness building and recognition.
ABOUT THE STRATEGIC INVESTOR INITIATIVE The Strategic Investor Initiative is committed to reorienting the capital markets to the long-term. Collectively, SII is developing a new platform for leading companies to create, convey, and deliver long-term plans to long-term investors. SII provides tools and resources designed to introduce and support market behaviors that ultimately deliver sustained long-term value for all stakeholders.
