Why do I feel like Fuyumi is the type to post aita’s abt Touya-nii lmaoo
because she absolutely is anon!!!!! she absolutely is!!! it’s a great way for her to vent her anger and feel validated!
touya comes across one on accident one day and writes a short essay on why she is the asshole, actually,,, he gets downvoted like mad,,,, it’s so obvious it’s him with a freshly made throwaway account,,, now fuyumi has to make a new throwaway account because he absolutely will stalk her posts like a fucking vulture and comment on every single one just to irritate her,,, now fuyumi has to be a little more vague in her posts because she knows touya’s searching through the subreddit for anything that might be about him,,,,,, it 100% becomes a war hahaha

THE LOOK OF LOVE
Tumblr media
THE RUSH OF BLOOD
I don’t believe in love at first sight, I think it’s stupid- or a myth. Something like that. When I met Bakugo Katsuki it was during his winter internship with Endeavor. I was working as an intern to grasp the ropes of managing a top hero Agency. I was also testing the waters on media management while I was there. I remember it very distinctly, his angry being stalking into the building. Boots chunking off snow as he stomps his feet against the carpeting, “this is y/l/n y/n, she’s also interning here for general management. Same school” Endeavor introduced me and I waved hello. A familiar greeting to Shoto, him and I have grown comfortable with each other, spending many nights eating a late dinner or catching up on homework.
“This is Midoriya, and Bakugo, they’re both interning with me this period”
“Yeah I’d assumed so, would you like me to set them up? Or should I resume work on the billing and media information on the last villain you captured?” I ask, shifting slightly to peek at the blonde.
“Resume work on the media. You can do billing tomorrow” He informs me, the fires of his beard flare slightly as he waves me off.
The second time we met is at dinner, only a few days later placed into the home of Endeavor and Shoto. The three interns and myself all invited to dinner.
“It feels so awkward.. like I shouldn’t be here yannow?” I pitch over to Midoriya, “it’s not like I’m training to be a hero..”
“Uh. I can see what you mean, but you’ve been working with him for a while know haven’t you? I was doing some reading about you online, you’re very talented at pulling to younger audiences with your media style. Is that a hobby or quirk related?” He asks as we walk in and slip our shoes off.
“It’s mostly a hobby, my quirk is really just time warping but I can’t travel through time, it’s just physically impossible. I’d have to literally blend into a beam of light going light speed or faster than the speed of light. So it’s relatively useless. And I’ve got a bum knee so it’s not physically wise for me to be doing all that stuff.. I’d probably have to retire a year into being an official hero” I respond
“Thank you for dropping by with your busy schedules! I’m Fuyumi, Shotos older sister. It’s nice to meet you!” She cheers excitedly, eagerly introducing herself. She’s in a turtleneck, a soft lilac color with an apron around herself. Midoriya is also as eager to introduce himself to her— extremely appreciative to have been invited.
“I’m y/l/n, it’s a pleasure to meet you, thank you for the invite”
Midoriya apologizes for his attacks against Shoto during the sports festival and Shoto makes it known that Fuyumi is aware it was all in good fun.
Once we’re all seated Fuyumi introduces herself and Shotos older brother, “I teach at an elementary school nearby, and this is Shotos older brother Natsuo, he’s in college”
“Hey, what’s up?” He doesn’t smile and looks awfully uncomfortable to be in this situation. I’ve head of the tensions in the Todoroki household, but seeing it truly play out makes me feel out of place.
“Shoto, this is where you introduce us to your friends” Fuyumi reminds
“Right. These are two of my classmates in the hero course Midoriya and Bakugo. And this is y/l/n, she is in the business course and hero management”
“Uh! It’s nice to meet you” Midoriya remarks, squaring his shoulders as he introduces himself nervously.
It’s a tense dinner, and I’m more than happy to be on my train ride home, mostly because I don’t stay weekends, I have no need to head back.
“Whoah! An attack on the way home, is Natsuo alright?” I ask Bakugo, mostly because he’s the first face I see as I enter the building.
“Uh.. yeah he’s alright. Probably shaken up. What’s it to you?” He goes on the defense, “you said last night you have no interest in being a hero.”
“You didn’t listen, or maybe you did but not that well. I did want to be a hero, very briefly. I was great at the physical side, the quirk needed time yes. And then I took a bad step during a volleyball game. I shattered my knee so badly they gave me a metal one. I can’t be a hero with that” I shrug, “and I have to keep updated. Media management” I point to the lanyard around my neck.
He just stares at me, this tense expression on his face, “ok.. whatever” he scurries off, eager to find himself at the need of Endeavor.
Seeing him around the halls has me smitten, this fuzzy feeling of a crush overwhelms me. He gifts me a singular wave, each morning. We wave to each-other. Sometimes he talks to me, sometimes I talk back, “how are you? I heard you were involved in an attack” he asks, taking a notice at the scar on my arm. One that should fade in a few weeks
“Oh, I’m alright.. it was pretty scary out there. It happened when I was walking home, he just came out of nowhere it took me completely by surprise. I’m thankful there was a hero there that’s for sure” I grin a little, shifting my hair from in front of my face to behind my shoulder.
“Do you walk through a bad neighborhood?” He inquires, I furrow my eyebrows and nod slowly.
“It’s not terrible, or like bad bad but yeah it’s a little sketch. But if I go around it it takes me an extra twenty minutes.. so it’s a little worth it”
“Jesus Christ.. you’ll get yourself killed” he rolls his eyes slightly, “meet me here after school alright?”
“Uh.. ok?” I shrug, somehow unphazed by his sudden interest in me. Although it stirs my curiosity just slightly.
It stirs through my mind in my classes all until I walk past him in the halls. He calls me out, and I wait until he catches up to me, “good day?” I ask as we walk next to each other, “and don’t you live at the dorms?”
“I do. And yeah.. it was good. The damn nerd keeps talking and stupid chargebolt fried himself stupid” he speaks a little softer, although I do notice the frustration in his voice and in his brow.
“So then.. why are you walking with me? I don’t live on campus- it’s so much easier for you” I bring to his attention
“Yeah why don’t you. Live on campus I mean. The commute for you would be so much easier”
“My parents are divorced, uh so I go to my moms after school and then two to three times a week she brings me to my dads but he lives an hour away by car” I admit, “it’s not embarrassing.. I just never really talk about it”
He nods slowly, I make a left turn and he follows, “what?” He asks when I turn at him.
“Uh.. you’re following me?” I tilt my head slightly and he pushes a hand through his spiky hair
“Yeah, dipshit. I’m walking you home” He says it so matter of factly I’m startled. I open my mouth, “stop asking stupid questions and just accept that I’m doing this! God!” He shakes his head and continues following me.
“If you’re gonna follow me don’t be a creepo, walk next to me” I murmur, just enough so he can hear me. Just enough for him to walk next to me, “Bakugo, so you like.. what?”
“Drums. Uh being a hero”
“Have you always wanted to be a hero?” I ask, he nods and takes a moment to think
“Yeah, I mean hasn’t everyone? I was born with this amazing quirk. Why wouldn’t I want to be one?”
“Were you an All Might fan? Or are you?” I ask, “no shame I’m just asking”
His face flushes and he stares down at his toes, “yeah. I mean who isn’t?”
I smile, a wide beaming smile as I grin at him, “what! I’m sure you were obsessed with him or some other hero”
“I was always a really big fan of Eraserhead. Dunno why, I just really liked him growing up, he reminds me of my dad”
“Oh, yeah he’s a good hero. An even better teacher”
“Yeah. That makes sense.. uh only a little while longer”
“This is.. a neighborhood” he notices, looking over at the overgrown lawns and boarded up houses. Upset dogs chained to wooden posts or chain link fences, “you walk through this place?”
“Yeah, on days where I don’t take public transports. At my dads I walk twenty and then there’s a train then I have to walk a little more so it’s not all bad”
“Huh..”
He looks around as I turn and then again into a brighter neighborhood. Sleek modern houses with low fences, “this is me” I say, at the house with the flowers and big pomegranate tree.
“You garden?”
“Yeah. Yeah I do.. uh.. I’ll see you tomorrow”
“Yeah..”
For the first time in a long time I wonder if love at first sight really does exist, I lay at my bed. Staring at my phone. Giggling a little when I see notifications from him.

I feel like big brother dabi frequently checks little sister reader out from her preschool so that they can do stupid shit together and he can one up his siblings on who spends the most time with her
He does! And it's not him "checking her out" as much as it is "luring her out" or borderline kidnapping her, but he's done it so many times now that Enji officially gave your school the green light to let the "brooding, scary villain" take you.
The bigger the age gap between you two, the more softer he is towards you. Like in this scenario, Dabi is like 20 something, while reader is barely 5.
As soon as Dabi picks you from school, he's taking your pink bag and hanging it on his shoulder while letting your small hand hold his two fingers as you both walk, all while humming when you tell him about your day and how you learned what a "verb" is.
He'll take you to a convenience store first, to get you something to eat. And sure, mama Rei always makes the yummiest meals with the best organic ingredients and papa Enji always take you to Michelin starred restaurants and gourmet ice cream parlours, they still can't beat the addicting taste of cheap convenience store junk food, which is all Dabi can afford at the moment. And the best thing is, he doesn't say no. You want two ice creams? Fuck yeah, he'll get 4! That's just a fantastic idea and he won't say no to it.
Then later he'll tae you to a park, where you'll be playing more by yourself than have him play with you. However, you can't play with other kids either without his permission. If you see kids your age at the play ground, you'll have to come to Dabi and ask if you can play with them. Sometimes he'll say yes, mostly he says no. That's when you have to huff and guilt trip him with your small voice and complain how no one ever plays with you (because everyone is busy) and now Dabi is sitting in the sandbox at your pretend restaurant while you serve him a sand cake. (On the inside, he's crying because his inner child wants to give you all the love and affection and everything he never got)
After playing, you're tired and looking like a complete mess, so while you sit im Dabi's lap taking huge gulps from your water bottle, he's combing your hair with his hands and tying it into pretty braids with cute bows (that he absolutely does mot carry around with him and no, those are not your pink hair ties on his wrist. That's fashion), all while he's narrowing his eyes at you as you're inhaling your water.
"Hey, slow down, brat. You'll choke and I won't save you."
If he has time, he'll take you to McDonald's and get you a happy meal, not getting himself one cause again- he's poor. But he will steal your fries though, and your drink. Not that you mind. No, no. You love sharing your food with Dabi, in fact, you'll probably be feeding him with your own hands.
"Here comes the plane, Dabi! Say ahh!" As you poke his closed lips with a fry.
Sometimes you'll ask about his scars. You're still too young to understand it all, and you being a curious kid, you often ask about his appearance. With gentle hands, you'll be tracing his staples and burn marks, asking if they hurt.
He'll shrug. "They used to, but not anymore." But maybe his tone wasn't convincing enough, or maybe you just needed an excuse to your Hello Kitty bandaids, but you're pulling them out pf your bag and placing them haphazardly on Dabi before kissing each boo boo to "make the pain go away".
You don't notice the misty eyes of your brother while you're kissing his burns.
Before the sun sets, Dabi is taking you back home (or else Rei will have his head), and you're so tired that you fall asleep while he's carrying you, drooling slightly on his shoulder as you mumble about Dabi and him being the best (which he obviously recorded to piss off his siblings. Shotou and Fuyumi are 1000% convinced that this was a deep fame and not you).
He'll tuck you in bed, maybe kiss your forehead before leaving. On his way home, he's looking through all the photos he secretly took that day of you,and there are even some very shaky, badly taken photos of him by you (because you wanted to take photos of your big brother too🥺) before Dabi settles on the one picture where he's looking ominous (but his eyes are soft) and you're in his arms, all giddy and happy.
New wallpaper 🥺💖

Platonic Yandere Naga Todoroki family
(This was a long time coming. This is completely disconnected from the Mythical Forest au btw)
Warning: Mentions of stalking, violence and Yandere behavior.
Tumblr media
-These guys are extremely feared by villagers and tourists alike, Enji had gathered quite the reputation for being a massive asshole. A violent asshole to be exact.
-Rei and her children are far more merciful and generous, helping out lost people and giving them directions.
-Except Dabi, he’s just a smug bastard who will probably lead you into crocodile invested waters for shits and giggles.
-You were the child of infamous explorers, whom have decided to explore the Todorokis’ forests.
-It was Shoto who discovered you first, watching you from the trees once he got wind that there were humans around.
-He ended up saving your life because a jaguar attempted to attack you.
-You were a little freaked out by the fact that a creature like Shoto existed but you became chill around him.
-Shoto then decided to tell his family about you. Enji was going through his redemption process as no one was tolerating him anymore. (Dabi tried suffocating him-)
-So now you have a snek family stalking you.
-Rei is just instantly in love with you, you’re just so adorable to her.
-Fuyumi leaves you little things that kids your age might like. I.E little hand woven dolls, books she had picked up from abandoned structures.
-Shoto and Natsou keep you safe from threats. Hanging out in trees in the late night hours.
-Enji stays at the den, as his kids are like: My dude, thin fucking ice.
-Dabi occasionally hangs out with his brothers on night shift but other than that, he’s fucking with crew.
-Casually depositing venom into a crew member’s water, breaking someone’s ankle.
-You are currently quite content with everything, especially with the all the little gifts and occasional visits from your friend Shoto.
-Until they fully raid your camp. Enji and Dabi handle everything whilst the rest of the family get you.
-Understandably, you’re quite upset about your family possibly being murdered and being abducted by snake people.
-Rei and Fuyumi are utterly upset with your crying and screaming, Shoto feels especially bad.
-Once you get comfortable in the den, everyone is satisfied. They have obtained their hatchling!
-Rei is obsessed with you, doing your hair, snuggling you. You’re her baby! She especially loves it when you willingly snuggle with her.
-Fuyumi teaches you essential skills about surviving and how to function. She’s really gentle but can get a little bit overwhelming. She’s wary around the idea of you potentially flocking together with human kind.
-It took a while for you and Shoto to rebuild trust, he was genuinely sorry. He’s loving and gentle with you but a bit clingy. He can’t stand the idea of humans reclaiming you.
-Natsou is probably the most chill and level headed of the family. He’s patient and scolded everyone for being overwhelming. He handles your health stuff, making sure you don’t die. Natsou can’t stand you being around Enji, given how Enji is a violent asshole.
-Dabi is a strange guy, he lurks around the den, just eyeing you with an indescribable gaze. He scares You honestly, especially since he’s the most trigger happy of the clan. He’s gentle with you, snuggling you whenever he wants. He’s not afraid to make his disdain for Enji and Shoto clear, giving a nasty hiss towards them. Don’t run off when he’s around, just don’t.
-Enji is probably the most gentle with you, but wary. He knows that he’s on thin ice around his family and will probably get turned into a hashtag by his sons if he fucks up. He uses his tail as a weighted blanket for you tho.

Being The Oldest Todoroki Daughter
Tumblr media
You're Toya's Twin Sister
The two of you had always been close ever since you were younger
Both of you felt pressured to be good enough for your father, pushing yourselves beyond your limit during training
You two were each other's support
However, things only seemed to get worse
Fuyumi and Natsuo being born made you both happy and worried
Then Shoto came along and your father focused on him, calling Shoto his masterpiece
Both you and Toya felt Jealous since you wanted your father's approval
You didn't hate Shoto, but Toya held more resentment toward the youngest of you all
You tried to make him realize that it was all your father's fault, but he didn't listen
Even comfort from Natsuo didn't help you feel completely better
You, Toya, Fuyumi and Natsuo didn't see Shoto very often, since your father kept him busy with training
You barely saw your mother either
Then came the incident when Rei had enough of the way she had been treated by Endeavor
She ended up pouring boiling water on Shoto's face, which caused her to be sent to a mental hospital
Things became even more tense in your home after that
And one day, Toya died
You were heartbroken, since out of all your siblings you felt closest to him
It was at that point that you distanced yourself from your entire family, even Natsuo and Fuyumi
You hadn't been that close to Shoto, but at that point you barely even went near him
You swore to yourself that you would become a better hero than your father ever could be
Not to make him happy, but to spite him
When you grew up, you made it as a hero, moving out of the home you had grown up in for some long
Deep down, you felt bad for your sibling, but you didn't know how to form a proper relationship with them
You wouldn't even consider trying to fix things with your father
Some time later, you finally found the bravery to visit your mother
Though it was awkward at first, you did end up mending things with her a bit
It made you happy to know she didn't hate you, considering how much you look like your father
She was glad you had moved out and started your own life, and she was proud of you for being such an amazing hero
After visiting your mother, you finally gathered the courage to talk to your siblings again
Fuyumi was the most willing, having missed you since you left the home
Natsuo was a bit hesitant, but came around after a short while
The two of you bonded over the anger you felt toward your father
Shoto was a different story
At first, he didn't really want to see you
Part of him resented you for leaving, and the fact that Endeavor wasn't as tough on you as he was on him
But, after some time, the two of you slowly became close
He really started to feel close to you when you stood up to your father how he was hurting Shoto
He started admiring you after that
He even picked your agency to intern with instead of your father's, which Endeavor wasn't too happy with that
Though, neither of you cared
It felt nice to be close to your siblings after all the time that you had spent barely being around them
You watched as Shoto made his way through UA
And despite all the dangers he faced along the way, he always persevered
During one of your patrols, you met Dabi
There was something familiar about him, but you just couldn't figure it out
It bothered you for a while, until you were given the answer
During what could only be called a war, Dabi was spotted on top of the giant villain
At that moment, you got your answe
Dabi was actually Toya, your twin brother
And he followed through with his plan of exposing your father and all that he had done
You tried your best to stop him, even if he was your brother
You knew your father wouldn't be up for.the task, so you would step up
There was no more Toya, only Dabi

Absolutely love your writing for all the AU/5 headcanons asks. Can I ask: AU where Rei cheats on Endeavor with All Might? It happens after AM's injury, so she doesn't recognize him, and he ofc doesn't know that she's married in the first place, much less to whom
you make this very difficult for me by giving me a window of 6 and half years for them to have an affair and for every single moment of that window, Rei is institutionalized. how am i supposed to get them to meet, much less take their clothes off. ok. think. there are other fic writers who specialize in this kind of thing, surely. what would they do....
1- ok so. The fire alarm at the hospital goes off. Rei doesn't know if it's a drill or not, but she's been there for seven years and generally does not need a lot of support during something like this like other patients do, so the nurses wave her out and she stands around outside a bit waiting for the fire alarm to stop and them to go back in. (It isn't a drill, they wouldn't have evacuated everyone if it was, but Rei is on the other side of the building and facing away from seeing any smoke) (This smoke is from a villain attack that All Might is taking care of, though he's only got seconds left of his power to use that day. he quickly rushes off, deflating and stumbling out on the other side of the hospital. Where Rei is.)
2- Rei is like "huh that guy doesnt seem to be in good shape" and kinda waves attention at him, and a nurse who's passing out water to patients and keeping an eye on the road gives Toshinori some too, getting more concerned when he dazedly answers that he's All Might and coughs up blood, but the nurse figures he's concussed since he smells of smoke and must have been closer to the fight, and is just reeling from being able to see the number one hero in person. Then they get distracted and wave Toshi to wait nearby, where Rei offers to chill his water and asks if he's alright, if he breathed in any smoke.
3- They chat and then go back into the hospital as it's un-evacuated together, Rei hanging out in the lobby where he sits as the hospital staff focus on getting everyone else back to their rooms. It pays to be low priority sometimes. Eventually she tells him her name is Rei and that she's in room K18, if he ever wants to visit or call. She doesn't get to talk to anyone except doctors, family visitors, or other paitients, and most of them don't stay nearly as long as she does. It's been seven years, and she's very lonely. Toshinori is lonely too, and when he's out of time for a day and feeling useless with nothing to do, he likes to talk to a friend.
4- Rei has been in the hospital for eight years when it gets physical. At that point, Toshinori knows a bit about her family. She has kids, mentions visits from a son and daughter, and then quietly mentioned when her son turned seventeen- her daughter's already twenty. She's been there for so much of their lives. He asks if she's married, and she admits she isn't sure how to file for divorce in a hospital like she is, if she even can, if she wants to because she'd lose custody, if it matters when she's not raising them anyway. He doesn't ask much more, knows there is a dead child and a baby she says isn't safe with her there. Toshinori never called Nana 'mom' to her face while she was alive, and had a reason for it, and has a similar reason for not asking more, not asking for the other names when he gets Fuyumi and Natsuo's. Yes, the doctors and nurses all know Rei has a boyfriend who visits. they don't say anything. who would they even tell, anyway. I debated the humor of reusing the bit from candlelight shoto that Toshi and Rei could have a kid with a fire quirk, but yeah here? Rei ain't getting pregnant, absolutely not.
5- When Natsuo turns eighteen, Rei does actually file for divorce, or at least tries to get the ball rolling on that. Toshinori's trusted her that her marriage is over in all but name, but he's more at ease with it ended fully. Fuyumi is crushed but burying it all deep inside. Natsuo is like 'what are you talking about. divorce is the most normal possible outcome here.' But anyway, Rei also begins to bring up being discharged- something she never bothered with earlier, when it seemed like she'd never be able to go home while Shoto was there, and never would want to go back anyway. (Her parents are absolutely not an option either so where would she go once discharged? the hospital was her only security.) Toshinori then tells her at this point about his diagnosis, that he's supposed to be terminal, in a way. He doesn't have a lot of time he can give her. Rei says that's ok, she'll take what she can get. She moves in. Fuyumi still goes out to eat with her once a week, though Rei doesn't say she's moved in with a boyfriend, just says she's in a safe place and it's not Fuyumi's job to worry about it, please, let her do that, relax, be her daughter instead of a mother. Natsuo adds her to his cellphone plan and gets her one. Rei doesn't tell Toshinori her ex's identity. Toshinori doesn't tell her about OfA, though she does know he's mentoring a student for heroics and is very proud of him. (Toshinori is a secretary at Might Tower, he's a great mentor. Oh huh, he got a job position at UA at the same time as All Might, she wonders if they carpool.)
+1- OK THE REVEAL so the reveal is. Toshinori gets home from the SF. And Rei almost knocks him out by the door, eyes wide and panicked, asking if he's ok, if Shoto's ok. Toshinori is like "... young todoroki? yeah he's alright? i know his fight with young bakugo looked bad but- Rei???" And that's when it all clicks for him, he's having dozens of horrible realizations at once, all while Rei weeps over her youngest. Toshinori's been a hero for a very, very long time. He's felt hopeless, before. But even then, he's known what needs to be done, he just isn't able to do it. But now? he's at a complete loss with no idea what he should do.

Redemption
Todoroki Clan x Todoroki reader
Synopsis: You're the twin sister of Shoto and save him and Endeavor from Toya.
Warnings: violence, profanity, unstable family, trauma.
Words: 2k
Tumblr media
Being the daughter of a superhero came with a heavy burden to carry. But being Endeavor's daughter was what made it that much harder. The ambitious and hostile man managed to destroy the mentality of almost the entire family.
Your deceased brother, a psychologically unstable mother, and even the insecurities created at home were his fault, and his alone. But even knowing that, all the cruelty he did to you and your siblings, even after all the horrors, all you wanted was to see him proud for just a moment.
Your Quirk gave you the ability to control and create water. And to say this was a surprise was an understatement. You remember well when the first traces of your powers started to show, you were only 4 years old at the time. A brief trip to the doctor had made everything clear, it was as if her parents' powers had merged into one. While his twin brother Shoto had the ability to control both ice and fire, in you they manifested together. The heat of your father's fire nullified the ice of your mother's power, resulting in a Water Quirk.
Your father didn't meet many people with quirks similar to yours during his lifetime, so his ignorance of your powers allowed you much more freedom than Shoto to explore your abilities on your own. As he didn't understand, he preferred to leave you aside, focusing on training Shoto.
Your father became completely obsessed with making your brother a hero that surpassed All Might. The little attention you received from him in childhood, in the first few years after discovering your powers, is totally gone with the passage of time. You suspect he was only interested at first because he was perplexed by your quirk, it was pure passing curiosity.
The memories you have of your father are mostly painful. You always tried to maintain a relationship with him, to get closer to him. Even when everyone was revolting against the man, you kept your criticisms of him to yourself and stood by him. Sometimes when you had your moments alone, you felt terrible for trying to defend him, when all your dad did was look down on you. You were stupid, he was right about that.
You always dedicated a gift to your dad on his birthday, Father's Day, Christmas. On all the damn dates, but he didn't give a shit about you or your birthday. You don't know why you care so much about pleasing him, about making him proud. It didn't make any sense. Your rational side told you to ignore it and move on, but your emotional and dumb side told you to try. Trying to be the child he wanted so much, but you never quite knew how to do it.
08/08, 21:47 - Enji's birthday.
You were in the living room watching TV while waiting for your dad to come home. You had spent all morning preparing his birthday present.
At the age of 8, your grammar was not the best, so you asked your older siblings to help you write a letter. Natsuo scowled and strongly refused to help you, which made Fuyumi scold him for the way he spoke to you.
But your sister, sweet and kind, sat with you at the kitchen table to help you write. At the time you noticed the sad looks she gave as you put the beautiful words addressed to Enji on paper.
Shoto didn't mind helping you color a drawing that went with the letter, he even had a little fun in the process and made you finish the gift faster. You thought your dad would be sad that no one got him a present, so you did your best to make one.
You went over your bedtime just to hand him the gift. You've been waiting for him to walk through the door while watching a show on television. And as soon as you heard the lock on the door being unlocked, you jumped off the couch in excitement.
You ran up to him and stopped in front of him as you held out the gift.
"Daddy, look. Happy birthday! I made it myself!" Fuyumi gave a slight smile upon hearing your little lie, but she really didn't care. She thought it was cute, actually.
Enji took a good look at what you had and took it out of your hands. You watched excitedly as he opened it and skimmed through the contents in silence.
"So this is the kind of crap you waste your time on, y/n?" you immediately got scared after his scolding.
"While you could be training to get stronger, would you rather distract yourself with crude drawings?"
Natsuo bristled with shock upon hearing his father's words. And your brother was very, very furious, but remained silent, just like Fuyumi. He mentally thanked Shoto for already sleeping. Both your siblings were so sorry for you. How dare he say those things after all the dedication you've put into it? Fuyumi felt terrible remembering the words full of love you wrote in the letter.
"Don't give me more stuff like that again. Don't waste your time with trifles, that makes me waste my time too." He crumpled up the drawing and letter in one of his fists and threw them into the kitchen wastebasket.
By this time the tears were flowing freely from your eyes. Were you a waste of time? Is that what he said? When the first sobs were heard Natsuo took one of your little hands and decided that it would be better to put you to sleep, he imagined that this way you would forget and wake up better the next day. But he knew it was going to hurt you for a long time.
But right now, at this very moment, you've seen an unseen version of your father. Dabi's revelation caught everyone off guard. Was he Toya? Was Dabi your brother that everyone thought was dead? Endeavor always saw you and your siblings as a mere enterprise, but you noticed he didn't look at your big brother like that now. You saw in his startled look that there was feeling there. He was always such a serious and intimidating man, that seeing him completely frozen hit you hard. You thought you'd never see him so vulnerable.
"Toya!" You screamed and cried for him to stop. You were a baby when he left, but remembering the pictures of him as a child in the family albums and seeing him like this now, a murderer... He didn't deserve this, nobody did. You begged, but he wouldn't stop. "Please!" You wanted him to look you in the face, you wanted to stop everything to hug him. How was it possible to miss someone you barely knew so much? He was your family, your brother. He was alive, this was supposed to be a happy moment, it's not fair.
And as Toya leapt up in a rage to attack Enji, to finally get his revenge, you just wanted your father to move.
"Daddy!" Your hoarse cry was chilling. Bakugou and Deku immediately looked at you in your chaotic state, completely desperate. Meanwhile Endeavor felt his body turning cold, his heart stopping to pump the blood to the necessary places, he didn't want to believe that that was Toya. Alive. It seemed that there was nothing around him, he could only focus on him. He couldn't hear anything else, everything was muffled.
He's going to kill Dad and Shoto.
He's going to kill them and I can't let him.
Move on! Move, dammit! You wanted to move so badly, but your legs wouldn't obey. You wanted your father to do something, but even you can't move your fingers.
Weak. You were a disappointment. You can't do anything.
But then your body decided to take action. And you started to run to them, to save them. You felt your breathing fail and your diaphragm lock, your lungs no longer moved, only your legs. All your energy had gone into your feet. You can't pass out, it's such a short race. Just get out there and help them. And as you ran to your brother and father, Shoto noticed you coming closer with tears cascading down your cheeks.
"Y/n!" Your twin screamed angrily, but you knew he wasn't mad at you, he was scared. "Get away from here!" Both of your hearts fluttering. Him fearing for you and you fearing for them.
Shoto had already given up trying to make Enji react and when he was going to try to stop Toya on his own before you reached them, it was too late. Were you that close? How did you get there so fast? It was the adrenaline speaking for you, taking over your body and giving you strength you didn't know you had. For just a second he looked away. For a second he took his eyes off yours, and when he was about to look at Toya in front of him, he was already seeing you again. You two.
Shoto and Endeavor saw Toya being enveloped by a large wave of water that pushed Dabi back and protected them from the attack.
You made the water come together in a big bubble that enveloped you and Toya. You wanted to break out of the bubble and leave him trapped until him passed out without air, but you felt afraid to pass out first with the panic you were feeling. You tried to take the bubble away, but he was getting close to you. You tried to reduce the bubble's diameter to escape and get some air, but it seems that you didn't have the strength to do that anymore. You can only hold the water there.
Toya watched you. Silly little sister, he thought sadly. why would you do that? After everything Endeavor has done to you. After everything that monster did, what were you doing here? He needed to escape, he needed to breathe. He was going to get his revenge, but you were standing in his way. And if he needed to step over you to get to your dad, he would. He let the blue flames flow through his hands, the heat boiling the water, and both you and he were going to suffer for it.
"Father!" Shoto yelled at Endeavor, rousing the paralyzed statesman to see his two childs struggling. "He's killing her!"
You didn't resist the high temperature for a long time. Toya was already used to the burns, it wasn't even a pinch for him. You weakened and the water dissolved all at once, and you both stumbled gasping for air. Your skin was red and burning like hell. You wanted to scream in pain.
You were weak. You couldn't even do a simple thing. You just needed to hold it for a few seconds and get out of there.
Your breathing hadn't worked for a long time, it was a surprise that you managed to make all that effort in this state. What a horrible time to have an anxiety attack.
Everything was going dark and the last thing you saw was a burning Toya coming at you with a murderous glare. Enji couldn't believe it, all this happened right in front of him, and he didn't do anything. He let Toya hurt you and did absolutely nothing.
As soon as Endeavor saw his son come to you, he prepared to face Toya. Shoto immediately rushed to attack him and get you away from him. Enji wasn't going to allow you to die, he wasn't going to allow Dabi to kill you. For your and Toya. For his children.
Toya grabbed Shoto and started to increase the flames around they two.
"The favorite son killed by the loser!" Dabi laughed like crazy as he held Shoto tighter burning them both. But someone stopped Dabi before he committed a greater tragedy.
Best Jeanist immobilized him and took him away from the twins. And Endeavor, even though he was no longer paralyzed, did nothing.
You protected him and Shoto. That was the last thing he remembered as he opened his eyes and found himself face to face with a white ceiling.

thinking of fuyumi’s bestie being in a relationship with hot older brother! Touya
“Hey! Sorry I’m a little late! Kinda got held up a little, sorry.” You sit down across from Fuyumi, just a few minutes late from the lunch reservation she had made for the two of to have some alone time. “Just ah, traffic and all that. You know?”
Your best friend giggles, fixing her glasses and pouring you a cup of water. You call it traffic but Fuyumi has noticed the pattern early on that it’s just code for ‘Touya made me run late’ and she’s polite enough to not say a word. You had always been punctual before when it came to any plans the two of you made together. Since dating her older brother, there were a few times that you’d send the ‘running late!’ text and always send your apologies.
Fuyumi didn’t mind though, it wasn’t a terrible habit that happened too often.
You and her do a small catch up over tea sandwiches and little cakes served on delicate tiers. How are the kids in the classroom? How are your office clients? This happened when I went grocery shopping. I saw this really interesting video about compassion fatigue the other day.
The two of you are bouncing off one another and decide that it’s time to pay and leave the tea room. It’s supposed to be your treat today but you look into your purse and find your wallet missing.
“Ah fuck! I think I left my wallet in my other bag!” your face heats over the embarrassment of not having any means to pay for lunch, searching twice again despite knowing that your credit cards won’t magically appear looking into your small purse. “Dammit! This is Touya’s fault!”
“My fault?”
Both you and her look to see Touya walking up to the little table you’re seated at, standing out in the flowery pink tea room. He holds up a little wallet, one that Fuyumi recognizes as the one you’ve had for the last few years, holding it limply towards you and you take it from his hand. “Don’t pin the blame on me, you’re the one who forgot it.” he’s nonchalant as he sits in the empty chair beside you.
“Yeah, because you-“ you start to speak but then your eyes glance to Fuyumi before you pipe down. She knows damn well that the reason why you were late was because of her brother but she doesn’t need to know the details of how he made you late.
“Say thank you.” Touya tells you as he reaches for a leftover sandwich on the cake tier, “I paid for your guys’ bill.”
“Okay, thank you. You can go now.” You try to wave him off, “I’ll text you later.”
Touya scoffs and peers into your tea cup, wondering if drinking it would be worth it to quench his thirst. He’s not exactly a fan of tea itself. “Are you really blowing me off?” he directs his gaze to his younger sister, “Stop hogging my girlfriend.”
Fuyumi laughs, “I’m not hogging her. I’m just spending time with my best friend.”
“Yeah, and you girls have had plenty of years together. Now I want my time.”
You step in with an audible groan to cut off the dialogue, “Alright, I will not be in a Todoroki sibling competition for my attention. Touya, thanks for bringing my wallet. I’ll… reward you for it later.”
It’s all he needs to hear, springing up from his chair and saying that he’ll expect you to keep your promise. All you give him is a sigh and a little nod, rolling your eyes when he kisses your forehead and bids the two of you goodbye.
“Sorry about… your brother, I guess.” You’re a little sheepish but there’s no mistaking the happy smile that comes on your face.
And Fuyumi smiles back at you, having noticed that Touya had been a little happier since having met you.

༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄
You groaned, turning over as you reached for your teddy and pulled it into your chest..your hard, warm skin-like teddy. You opened your eyes, rubbing the crusts formed on the corners as you realised it was in fact Bakugous hand that was currently on your chest, hand flat and squeezing your boob slightly. You squealed and jumped up, backing yourself against the wall behind the bed as Bakugou alerted jumped out of the bed and whipped himself round, looking for what made you scream.
He turned back seeing nothing as he found you with the pelt around you pressed against the wall. Your face extremely red as you glanced at him, more so at what hung between his legs and squealed again pulling the pelt over your face.
Bakugou whipped his head around once more wondering what has you acting this way before grumbling, assuming it was just things women from your part did when they woke up. He got back into the bed with you, grabbing the pelt from your hands and snatching it over him. Your face still bright red as you stared wide eyed into his tired ones.
"Y-Your naked!" You stuttered out at him, his brow rose quizzically at your words, trying to remember what they meant. You caught on that he didn't understand and you pointed to your clothed chest and then to his bare one. His brows furrowed further before realising what you meant.
He only rolled his eyes at you, what a prude, was all he could think. You stayed pressed against the wall, face slightly less red. He just scoffed at you and turned over, closing his eyes when his tarp door was pulled open and his friend Kirishima walked in with a toothy grin on display.
"Bakugou! its time to get up. Your father asked that we show your mate around the grounds!" He informed rather chipper, too chipper for Bakugou who only barked something back at the man. You only glanced between them, wishing your father wasn't so piggish and allowed you and Fuyumi to join in your brothers language tutoring.
Bakugou only grumbled under his breath as he whipped the pelt off him and stood up. Your face immediately becoming red again as you caught sight of it between his legs. Kirishima eyes widened as he looked at the both of you, sure you were still dressed but maybe that's what your people slept in and plus your hair was all ruffled. Your eyes widened watching Kirishima wiggle his brows at Bakugou and you quickly waved your hands about, pointing between yourself and Bakugou and shaking your head.
"No! nothing happened" You told him, face red and voice slightly high. Kirishima just tilted his head at your language. He knew even less than Bakugou but understood the word No. He chuckled at your embarrassed expression and looked back at Bakugou who was now changed. Bakugou turned to you, eyes narrowed as he pointed to your trunk on the ground.
"Change and come" he stated sternly and you just nodded. You pulled your trunk up onto the bed, struggling slightly at the weight. You opened it up and thrifted through your belongings, grabbing out a sage green dress with a pleated skirt, folding it onto the bed as you pulled your underwear. You looked over at the two men who stood staring at you and narrowed your eyes which slightly shocked Kirishima, you were so small yet those eyes held much fierceness.
"I can't change with you both in here" You told them and Kirishima almost like a dog tilted his head again at your foreign words. You sighed and pointed at the door making them both turn their head.
"Go out" you told them making a shooing motion with your hands. Kirishima nodded, realising what you meant and quickly excused himself. Bakugou however showed no sign of leaving. You repeated your actions at him but he only crossed his arms and shook his head. He is the chiefs son and this is his home not yours. "I have to get changed, i cant with you here” You told him once more. He only glared at you daring you to tell him what he can and cant do again.
“At least turn around please? Its not proper for a woman to change in front of a man” you asked him softly, sighing at his stubbornness. You realised he wasn’t going to do as you asked and you felt tears prick your eyes great another boarish man to control my life. You reached behind and pulled at the tied ribbon, undoing it as you glanced every so often at him. He only stared at you his gaze never wavering.
This was humiliating and demeaning. You pulled the dress down off you leaving you in your cotton bra and underwear. You looked back up at him, a tear running down your cheek and he rolled his eyes finally turning around. You felt the weight on your chest lift as you quickly wriggled your underwear off and pulled the clean pair on along with the new green dress. It fell just to mid-calf, slipping your short heeled boots on and grabbed your tan cloak, doing the clasp on your collar bone joining it together to wrap around your shoulders.
“Y-You can turn around now” you told him. He turned back around seeing you fully dressed. Your clothing was so different compared to his tribes, moderate and conservative. He turned making a motion with his hand for you to follow as you both exited his home. You met the red head waiting outside and you figured you could at least learn his name.
“Hi, I’m Kya” you told him, he didn’t understand his brows furrowing slightly as he repeated the words, not very well.
“Kya” you pointed to yourself as you repeated your name and then pointed to bakugou.
“Katsuki” you stated and then pointed to him hoping he’d understand which he did. His eyes lit up and he smiled at you.
“Ejiro Kirishima!” You gave him a small smile back and repeated his name slowly hoping to get the pronunciation right, which you think you did since he nodded excitedly.
Bakugou just scoffed at the both of you and barked something at kirishima who began to follow. You quickly stumbled to catch up, looking around at your new..home. The feeling of where you were now settled once more and you felt yourself grow sad over the fact you weren’t at home with Fuyumi watching your brothers play in the courtyard.
This place was so different compared to your castle and village. It was quite big and from what you could see as you walked further from Bakugous tent that he was quite isolated. The further you got the more tents popped up. They were all almost uniformly built in circles of three with a small campfire and boxes in the centre of each of them, the sizes of the tents varied in their circles.
“Where are we going?” You asked, glancing at them both. Kirishima didn’t answer not understanding what you said.
“Out, show you” was all Bakugou said and you nodded. It was good he understood some of your words and could speak your tongue.
You continued walking, in loops and down gravel paths past other tribe members. There was surprisingly a lot to see. They had a very large campfire in the center of this tribe. There was also a market like area at the edge close to the gates. It had a fee stands where you seen cloth being woven, metal welded into armour and swords and some butchery too. The people here bowed as Bakugou walked by before resuming their tasks.
He led you around some more the only conversing was done between him and Kirishima. You distracted by thoughts of missing home gasped as you bumped into his back, stumbling back slightly you opened your mouth to quickly apologise but the hot-headed blonde was already shouting at you in his language. The words along with his accent and the fact he was shouting made you jump and tears prick your eyes as you were reminded of your father. You couldn’t help the facial flinch as your eyes squinted and you turned your head ever so.
“Bakugou! Stop youre scaring her!” Kirishima scolded his friend. Bakugou stopped his shouting acknowledging your form, you looked like you were trying to hide. He rolled his eyes and put his hand out. You flinched slightly before widening your eyes and seeing he wanted you to take it.
You grabbed it and he squeezed yours tightly making your cheeks warm as he stared down at you. His eyes seemingly always narrowed.
“M’sorry” was all he muttered before pulling you inside a large tent. You seen inside it was similar to Bakugous. His mother and father stood in front of you and you watched as Kirishima knelt on one leg bowing, bakugou however made no move to follow. You looked between his parents and upon seeing his mothers red eyes you quickly bowed yourself.
“Son! Did you show Kya around like we asked?” His mother spoke and again you wish you understood them because they were clearly talking about you when she mentioned your name.
“Kya, how has your morning been?” Bakugous father asked and you looked over to him smiling.
“G-Good! Thank you for asking sir” you told him. He gave you a soft smile.
“I have asked our academic Izuku to tutor you in our language and our clans ways. He will collect you tomorrow morning” he informed you and you just nodded, still accepting that this is where you are now.
“I have also organised for some of our females to spend some time with you tomorrow after your time with Izuku. They will get you fitted with our tribal clothes. . .” he continued and you tuned him out as he kept speaking, you finally thought youd come to terms with this but hearing all these things made your stomach queasy and your head sore. You subconsciously squeezing Bakugous hand which made the blonde turn to you cutting his attention from his talking mother.
He stared at you, seeing your eyes were ever so slightly still watery and your chest moving quicker in shorter breaths. You were overwhelmed by his fathers rambling and he snapped at his father to be quiet. His mother only roared at her son for back talking but he ignored them both, taking you and leaving their place. He dragged you along down and out of their walls, pulling you down onto a path through the forest. You suddenly snapped back when your foot caught under a tree root and you tripped into him.
Yous both stumbled, him alerted and half way turning to try and catch you but you were already falling and now so was he. He groaned as the dirt and stones dug into his back harder than usual due to your now added weight on top. You groaned quietly as you rubbed your head and sat up, looking around for the blonde only to hear his voice snap at you from below. Your head snapped down and you blinked dumbly as your brain processed the position you two were in.
You quickly scrambled up and onto your feet, cheeks flushed once again. Bakugou picked himself up and put his hand out once more which you hesitantly took, embarrassed that you were sitting on him!. You both continued the path becoming slightly narrower through the thicket. Your dress kept catching on the brambles and thorns that jutted out. Bakugou growing annoyed at having to keep stopping grabbed a small blade he had holstered in his waistband. Your eyes widened and you shook your head, mind going to the worst thought. This is it. Im dead. Hes going to kill me.
You squeezed your eyes shut only to hear the tearing if fabric which made you reopen them to see he was slicing your dress.
“Hey! This is one of my favourite dresses! Youre ruining it” you swatted his head as you yelled at him, how dare he do this. He snatched the limp fabric, the dress now ending just above mid thigh. Your eyes widened at the amount of skin you were showing, your father would murder you right now! Hell so would your brothers. You glared up at him but he just turned back around and kept walking.
You both eventually reached a clearing and you gasped at the view. A medium lake glistened from the high sun. The water was quiet and still. A large bright green willow tree hung over it and you stepped forward further into the clearing. The mountains had been lacking in anything like this from what you had seen, one side was rocky cliffs and staggering ledges and the other a dense forest which you thought no one could get through but he brought you here.
He watched you as you stepped over to the pond. The green grass soft on your knees as you knelt down and dipped your hands into the water. You looked happy, tranquil even. The blondes face for once sporting the smallest of smiles as he watched you spot the fish giggle at them swishing around. He came to sit beside you, pulling his boots off and slipping his feet into the cold water. A sigh leaving his lips as he leaned back on his hands.
You watched, staring at him longer than you should. He was attractive and you couldn’t deny that, at least your father picked you a handsome husband. His blonde hair messily ruffled on top of his head as your eyes trailed down, to his closed eyes and relaxed face further you went. His chest was broad with lean muscle the whole way down. A large scar stretched from just over his left shoulder down to his chest. You glanced back up at him and seen he was staring at you and your cheeks flushed, embarrassed you were caught ogling him.
“Kya” he started and you turned your head back to him catching his gaze once more. The sun hit your face and highlighted the pale freckles on your skin. Your white hair reflecting the suns rays in a almost halo hue that even Bakugou thought was ethereal.
“What age you?” He asked, his deep voice was soft and raspy. It was different compared to his shouting and roughness. He still wasn’t fluent in your tongue, maybe you could teach him and he could teach you.
“Are. What age are you” you told him and his brow raised slightly before catching on that you were trying to tutor him. He nodded, signalling he understood.
“I am eighteen” you answered. He nodded, turning to face the bond as the water shifted slightly. The fish disturbing the stillness.
“What age are you?” You asked in return. The sun was warm even with the slight breeze and it made you excited for the summer to come.
“Twenty-three soon” he told you and your eyes widened slightly. He was the same age as your brother Shoto and quite older than you. Why isnt he married already? Even your brother is engaged.
The two of you stayed there in the comforting noises of leaves rustling and birds singing. The breeze picking up ever so slightly making you shiver which Bakugou picked up on. He shifted over and put his arm around your shoulders, pulling you into his chest and under his cape. Your face warmed as you sat rigid beside him, never been this close to another man except for family.
He noticed your tenseness and felt himself grow angry. What was it that you didn’t like about him? He brought you somewhere nice, asked you about yourself and didn’t snap when you corrected him. He pulled away slightly to look down at you, seeing your face slightly red.
“Why not like me?” He asked, brows furrowed as his red eyes were narrowed in on your grey ones. Your brows raised at his question, it wasn’t that you didn’t like him; you barely knew him.
“I-I do like you! We just aren’t well acquainted” you told him moving to sit up slightly from his chest. Your thighs still stuck together.
“Why not kiss me?” He retorted and your eyes widened further. He was still mad you didn’t kiss him. You felt yourself grow embarrassed not wanting to reveal the answer.
“I-, I have never kissed anyone before” you whispered, looking away as your fingers plucked at a blade of grass. Bakugou stared at you translating your words before understanding and laughed at you.
His loud laugh made you snap your eyes back up at him. It was your turn to be angry as you shoved him and got up. He sat up still chuckling as he watched you stomp towards the forests edge. He rolled his eyes at your pettiness and pulled his boots on and got up. He followed you seeing you struggling to find the path yous took down.
He grabbed your arm and you yelped, flailing it as you tried to snatch it from him but he only turned you and pressed you against the oak behind you. Your chest heaved, frustrated with the man before you for laughing at you. He held your hands tightly with his own at your side. His face lit with amusement at your scorned one. Your wispy bangs falling over your face. He leaned in closer bringing his head low as your noses just about touched. The idea of you having never kissed anyone had been mulled upon in his brain and awoke something in him. He should have realised youd never been touched before. Your eyes widened as you felt his nose graze yours ever so slightly.
Your lips parted as your tongue darted out to wet them. His eyes flicking down catching the movement before moving back up to meet yours. Your wide innocent doe eyes lit something in his chest as he let go of your wrists, hands falling limply at your side as short shallow breaths left you. His large hand gripped your waist firmly whilst the other tucked your fallen hair behind your ear. The delicate movement making your stomach swirl. His eyes were dark, tempting and almost scary, hooded slightly as he leaned closer. Your breaths mingling as you felt your eyes flutter shut, something in your stomach growing that made your brain want this.
He moved forward slowly. His lips about to touch yours when a twig snapped and a voice shouted from the forest. You jumped startled and he cursed at the recognisable sound of his friends voice. He rested his forehead against yours eyes closed for a moment before he pulled away. He turned to face his friend. His hand moving so you stood behind him, shielding you from prying eyes.
“Baku! What you doing here? We are all up feasting” his blonde friend grinned, lazily making his way over. You stepped out from behind Bakugou and his friends grin dropped as his eyes met yours. You instinctively grabbed Bakugous arm, wrapping your arm in his at the strangers presence.
“This your mate? Shes tiny” he laughed slightly as he looked at you together. Bakugou was a lot larger than you. He stood at around six foot, large shoulders and chest that narrowed into a lean abdomen. His biceps and arms big as well from the hard labour and training hes been through as chiefs son.
“Quiet! Stop looking at her and go back. We will come now Kaminari” he snapped at kaminari who only rolled his eyes at the blonde. Kaminari winked at you before turning and heading back. Bakugou looked down at you seeing your cheeks still dusted with pink.
He thought against trying to kiss you again. The moment was ruined and even so did you even want to kiss him? It didn’t really matter, you were his wife. You would be consummating soon anyways after your initiation into his tribe to make you one of them. He pulled you along as yous headed back to find everyone at the large campfire, logs, tables and wooden benches all pulled around to allow people to sit. Bakugous parents sat at a bench and table together two spaces free beside them.
Bakugou brought you over as yous both sat and began eating, though it wasn’t food you recognised and struggled to eat without cutlery trying not to make a mess as the sun began to descend and the fire flickered into the night. . .

the heart is but a winding road p.1 - shouto todoroki/f!reader (1.3k) pro-hero shouto, we're talkin late 20s early 30s-ish, this independent bachelor turned begrudging father figure fic was almost certainly inspired by buddy daddies, pure fluff, sho is about to make a new bff who happens to be 5 years old much to everyone's surprise
YOU ARE HERE - p.2 - p.3 - p.4 (upcoming)
Tumblr media
It’s not that Shouto wouldn’t make a good parent. Quite the opposite really. It’s just that after his tumultuous upbringing, he’s more at peace with the idea of spending his adulthood independently. He’s a bit awkward with kids anyway. Doesn’t know how to talk to them. The idea of having one toddling along behind him 24/7 makes him kinda itchy and uncomfortable, like when sweaters are made with synthetic material and get put through the dryer.
His friends often tell him he’ll probably change his mind as he gets older. His family does too. But he keeps getting older and his stance stays the same. Fuyumi gets married and starts having kids first. Natsuo and his partner eventually adopt as well after trying for a few years. Denki elopes on a trip abroad and has three kids before their graduating class has even hit 25. Kirishima is next. Momo. Sero. Slowly, everyone Shouto knows is settling down and getting married and starting families.
And he just… doesn’t want that.
“‘Scuse me.”
Shouto is staring at a puddle in the middle of the street one afternoon, lost in his thoughts. It’s just stopped raining, and everything around him on the city street is soaked as the water slowly pools and slithers away into the storm drains. His phone is in his hand, open to where Uraraka has just sent a text to the old class 1-A group chat to announce she’s having her second baby.
Shouto turns towards the sound that interrupted his swirling thoughts, and a pair of wide eyes gazes up at him from roughly thigh-height.
“Yes?” the man asks, polite but a bit clipped, as he stares down warily at the child by his feet.
The kid probably wants a picture, he realizes. Even out of his Pro Hero suit he’s still fairly recognizable, and it’s a common occurrence. He’s got a baseball cap and mask on today though, and really hadn’t wanted to be spotted.
“Uhhh, uhmm…” the kid stammers, tugging at the hem of their little yellow rain jacket.
Shouto sighs a little.
“Do you want a pho-“
“Littering is bad!”
The child’s hands are balled up into determined little fists at their sides, their eyes squeezed closed like they mustered all their strength to say the words.
And Shouto is… speechless.
“Uh,” he falters, uncertain what the hell is even happening. “Yeah?”
The kid's eyes open again, and this time they look more resolved than they had a moment prior. Less friendly, too.
“So why’d you LITTER?”
People walking by on the sidewalk are starting to stare now, and Shouto gets that itchy, uncomfortable sensation that he hates as he feels the prickle of their eyes on him.
“What are you talking about?” he asks the child nervously, tugging his cap down a little further over his face.
The kid puffs out their cheeks indignantly.
“You dropped this garbage on the ground back there.” Clutched in the child’s tiny fist is a slip of paper—a receipt, Shouto quickly surmises. His receipt from the shop he’d just visited, which must have fallen from his pocket when he’d pulled out his phone. The little gremlin waves it around accusatorially. “And you didn’t pick it up! That’s littering.”
Shouto crouches down to meet the kid at eye-level, hoping that, if nothing else, it will stop raising its voice if he gets a bit closer.
“That was an accident,” Shouto tries to explain—tries to deescalate the situation—but the look on the child’s face doesn’t soften in the slightest. The worst part about all of this is that Shouto does actually need that receipt. He eyes it for a moment, contemplating his next move, and then he sighs. “Can I have that back?”
“No,” the kid answers immediately. “Littering is a crime and this is my eminence.”
“Your what?” the man asks flatly.
“My eminence,” the kid replies, turning their nose up at him like he’s the one being foolish.
Shouto blinks blankly at the knee-high pain in his ass.
“Nao! Nao!”
A startled, frantic voice makes Shouto’s head turn on instinct—the panic igniting a sense, an alertness, that’s been long-engrained in him.
He spots you down the road, an umbrella in your hand and a flustered but relieved look on your face, racing towards him.
Him?
Shouto is confused for a moment, until he remembers he’s not alone.
“Mama!” the present bane of Shouto’s existence melts into something unrecognizable to the thorn they’d been in his side only a moment prior—their tone sweet and excited when they spot you jogging over.
“Nao-chan,” you breathe, falling to your knees on the sidewalk and wrapping your arms around their little yellow-raincoat clad body, “I’ve been looking everywhere for you.”
“Mama, I caught a criminal!” the child, who Shouto can only assume is named Nao, says excitedly as they point an eager finger in his direction.
You turn and face Shouto with a startled look on your face.
This day is really not going his way.
Your cautious eyes scan Shouto for a moment, understandably wary considering your child just proudly labelled him a criminal, but he sees a flicker of recognition kindling behind your gaze that melts away your initial look of mistrust. Begrudgingly, he reaches up and loops a finger under the edge of his mask, tugging it down to his chin to reveal his face.
Your lips part, then close again.
“Nao-chan, I think you made a mistake,” you say softly to the child tucked against your side.
“Nuh-uh, Mama! I caught him littering and I got eminence!”
“Evidence, baby,” you correct the child gently.
“Yeah, that!”
You squeeze your eyes shut, looking vaguely mortified, and huff out a little laugh.
“I’m so sorry,” you say to Shouto, an apologetic grimace on your face, “he’s been obsessed with the recycling hero lately. It’s all he talks about.”
Shouto eyes the child, the boy, at your side. He’s familiar with Reductro, the Recycling Hero, but only vaguely. He’s been working with the education branch of the Hero Commission for the past few years, teaching kids to minimize their waste and promote taking care of the environment, and the two have met in passing a few times through work and the like. Shouto had no idea he had these kind of die-hard fans.
“You like Reductro?” Shouto asks the kid curiously.
The little boy’s face lights up.
“He’s the best!”
“What’s so cool about him?” Shouto asks, genuinely interested.
“He came to my school last week and he helps to get plastic outta the ocean!” The little boys eyes sparkle as he replies. “He took a gillion plastic bags out of the bay last year!”
Shouto purses his lips. that is pretty cool.
“Nao, give the nice hero back his receipt now, please,” you urge your son, seemingly eager to end this ordeal amicably.
The little boy squints up at Shouto’s face, shuffling a bit closer. “You’re a hero?” he asks skeptically.
Shouto nods. “I’m Pro Hero Shouto.”
The little boy’s jaw gapes, and Shouto feels a little swell of smugness in his chest. He’s the number three hero after all, the kid must have heard of him.
“Do you know Reductro?”
The swell of his hubris deflates immediately.
A few more words are exchanged as Nao—Naoyuki, age 5, likes Pro Hero Reductro and dislikes broccoli, as Shouto comes soon to learn—returns his misplaced receipt and you apologize again for your son’s overzealousness. With a few polite bows and one last apology for good measure, the three of you part ways—Naoyuki’s little rain boots thumping along the sidewalk as the two of you depart hand-in-hand.
Shouto looks down at the paper in his palm after you’re gone, unable to shake the foreign feeling that’s crept over him, and curled itself into his chest underneath his ribs. He clasps his fingers around the troublesome receipt and shoves his hand into his coat pocket as he sets off in the direction of his apartment.
He keeps the little slip of paper tightly in his grip the entire way home.

Barberry and Celandine part four: Stinging Nettle
Touya walks down the hall, gritting his teeth. He slides open the bathroom door. He sees you standing in front of the sink, staring up like a weirdo.
“You are absolutely useless. Can’t even brush your teeth without someone's help?” Touya says in a condescending tone. He still grabs your toothbrush as he grabs his own, only because he doesnt want to be the next person getting on his dad’s nerves. He squeezes the tub of toothpaste spreading the minty paste on both brushes. He shoves the brush into your mouth and begins to brush his own teeth.
Touya spits into the sink. He turns on the faucet and runs his toothbrush under the water. He looks over at you, he glares seeing you barely brushing your teeth right. He puts his toothbrush back into the cabinet and then turns to you. He takes the toothbrush from your hand and starts to brush your teeth. “Mom and Dad were arguing-” about you again, is what he would’ve said, but he isn't even sure if wasting his breath is worth it or if you even understand half the things he says when you never respond to him. “She is probably going to be out in the yard until dad is gone or dinner.”
Touya pulls the toothbrush from your mouth and cleans it off under water then puts it away into the cabinet. He lifts you up and lets you spit into the sink before he plops you down on the toilet and starts cleaning your face with a towel. “Are you eating at school?” Touya asks in a firm tone, he drops the towel on the side of the sink and watches her closely, his eyes narrowing. He watches you nod in response.
“Yeah, what almonds and grapes? Too scared to snack unless Shoto tells you to?” Touya says in an annoyed tone. He knows Fuyumi wasn't small at this age, so why is she? Obviously, it's because Dad must be right about y/n isn't eating properly. This just annoys Touya to no end, why can’t Mom be useful and make sure her children are fed? With how protective Fuyumi is, why isn't she expressing the same worry and fixing the problem? Why can’t Shoto get a handle on his damn twin?
Touya turns away to grab a hair product, even more annoyed seeing how frizzy your hair got just from being brushed, and that Mom couldn’t have been bothered to actually take care of your hair. He turns back to you scratching at your face. Touya swats away your hand firmly.
“Knock it off. Don’t touch your face, especially not your eyes. Are you trying to get sick? Shoto probably coughed on you while you were sleeping and left you with a blanket he sneezed on just to keep you by his side.” Touya says in a scolding manner. He would laugh at your scared reaction normally, but knowing that there is a large possibility Shoto will be trying anything to keep her at home today, and even threw things at their Dad over it, Touya can't. He also wants to kick himself for sounding exactly like Mom used to with him and Fuyumi.
“What’dya want today for your first and probably last solo day of school? Pigtails? Braids? Buns?” Touya asks in a calmer tone, spraying down your hair with the product and then setting it down on the sink. He cards his fingers through your hair carefully. He sees you hold up three fingers, then he gets to work, putting your hair up in two buns. He is being extra careful with her hair and extra observant after seeing and hearing what Mom was talking about.
Every strand of hair that comes out makes him want to curse at everyone and everything. “You are losing hair like a middle aged man, you are going to be bald in no time,” Touya says in an annoyed tone as he finishes your hair. He picks you up and holds you in front of the mirror, ignoring your bright red ears.
Touya puts you down on the bathroom floor and opens the door. “Scram. I’m not redoing your hair if you don't like it.” Touya says as he pushes you out the door.

Twisted Wonderland and Akagami no Shirayuki hime crossover AU part 3!
So this is AU created when i'm thinking what if Yuu or Fuyumi is Shirayuki twin sister and she suddenly transported by a black carrige to Night Raven Collage infront of her sister, Zen, Mitsuhide, Kiki and Obi? Her sister married with the second prince so when she got missing all hell would broke loose.
Leona Kingscholar
Because she is a girl Leona respect her, they are around similar age but because she's born in february she could be said older than him. They meet in botanical garden when she actualy pick some herb to made medicine for the student who come to the infirmary.
She could understand his feelings to be compared because she also compared with her sister a lot too, but not like him who give up she don't. She do what she like and make her dream come true as the head pharmacist.
She don't like it when he call her 'red hair' because it remind her with the human trafficking who almost sold her and her sister also the dumb prince who almost make her and her sister his concubine, he stop to call her that after he know the reason and make sure she's protected outside NRC.
Had a soft spot on her, Ruggie joking that he have a crush on her but he isn't he just think of her as pack member. Maybe ?
He like it when she let him sleep on her lap sometime. He like her attention and annoying Riddle would be a bonus.
She talk him out of his problem and ask him did he really want to be a king? Because being a king is not easy. Her brother inlaw prince Izana is a king of Clarines and he don't have any free time for himself. If not because his wife he would over work himself. When he think about it again he don't want to be a king. That too much trouble and he can't be free if he born first. That made him felt better.
She advice him to found his own way in life and don't think about what other people opinion.
Ruggie Bucchi
He think her hardworking personality is admirable, the first time he meet her was in botanical garden because she found the caretaker accidently plant poisonous plant in the wrong place and that poisoning the water made the other slowly die. Ruggie and Jack helping her to replant it and stop the water flow for a while. In exchange she cook for them.
She also feed him a lot and made him not as skinny as before .
Ruggie think Leona had a crush on her despite he always say he isn't.
Fuyumi also give him a lot of food when she hear he was going home even give him medicine for his grandma. In exchange he would give her some herb that grow in his home town.
He think of her as a sister but never say it incase Riddle hear him (Riddle still had a grudge to him after what happend to Tray)
Jack Howl
He think Fuyumi is admirable and her hard working personality is cool. The first time he meet her he end up helping her to replant in the botanical garden with Ruggie and she feed them as thanks. Her cooking is delicious.
Knowing she almost forcefully become a concubine of a dumb prince and almost sold by human trafficking because her hair he would volunteer everytime Rook ask to protect her when he can't and she need to go outside.
Some time would call her nee san and like it when she pat his head.
He also got inside her favorite brother list

ADORE YOU TODOROKI TOUYA
Tumblr media
synopsis. touya struggles to differentiate himself from his father.
wc. 2.01k
tags. slight angst, slight fluff, non-quirk!au, not proofread
Tumblr media
the first thirteen years of touya’s life were not happy and joyful and full of memories that every young child should be able to reflect on with peace and nostalgia. they were filled with harsh slaps that left nasty purple bruises, extensive scoldings for minor mistakes and the constant hope that his dad would be too drunk when he came home to even remember that there were five other occupants.
he had been forced to mature faster than other kids his age, often meaning that he had little to no friends as he could never understand or find common ground among his peers. not that he had the time for friends. most days it was him picking up and dropping shoto off at the local nursery whilst fuyumi ensured natsuo made it to school on time.
enji was smart enough to keep the bruises on his children hidden but never spared rei the same mercy. so often times, after checking off the completion of homeworks, and making a simple dinner from the ingredients still left in the otherwise barren kitchen, touya found himself sifting through the dwindling contents of the house’s first aid kit to cover up any of the newer injuries on his mother.
she cried almost every time, apologising over and over, and promising it wouldn’t be this forever. touya would give her a kiss on the forehead and a tight-lipped smile as he nodded, his hopes of that peace for them dwindling after each altercation with enji. but he was getting older and he was getting angrier and that terrified him because however justified he may have been to feel such rage, it made him question how different he and his father truly were.
fuyumi was different, she coped by trying to understand and do better as if there was any resemblance of a traditional family left to fight for. touya couldn’t comprehend such naivety and hated the way his sister’s hopes would shatter each time he’d crush it with a cruel remark about their piece of shit for a dad. and yet he equally longed for such an empathy towards someone who’d brought them so much suffering because maybe that’s how he’d be able to separate himself and his father as two different coins and not two different sides of one.
it wasn’t till touya turneed thirteen that rei had finally got the courage and means to leave enji. for as long as he could remember, his mum had been working night shifts at the local 24/7 convenience shop, leaving for her shift after enji had fallen asleep and returning before he’d woken up. it wasn’t out of the ordinary for her to return, cash in hand, asking him or fuyumi to hide it in their drawers so their dad couldn’t find it and gamble it away.
despite the physical struggle they’d suffered all their lives with enji, he left the family with little to no resistance – even going as far as to sign away his parental rights for all four of his children. not that that meant anything, he’d checked out of being a dad on day one and touya had been forced to take on that paternal role for his younger siblings.
the transition from their four bedroom house to a two bedroom apartment hadn’t been easy. food was scarce and touya’s heart broke as he watched his mum sacrifice meal after meal and having her own room so that natsuo and touya could share one and fuyumi and shoto could share the other. they had found some peace, but the scars that enji had left them with was as clear as day in the shadow of bruises that still lingered on their skin and mind.
that rage was still there.
touya hated his father, hated what he’d become and what he’d done to their family and he swears if he ever saw that man again he’d–
“found you.”
touya coughs, shaking his head of the thoughts as he splashes cool water over his face. he doesn’t look up as you push the door to the bathroom open slightly more, slipping into the small space to close the distance between the two of you.
“was worried,” you murmur, reaching up to take your boyfriend’s face in your hands as you force him to actually look at you. “you came out here twenty minutes ago. thought you got lost,” there’s a hint of a smile playing at the corner of your lips but touya can’t amuse your gentle teasing right now.
“you can’t get lost in a house with half a dozen rooms and one corridor,” he mutters back, gently pushing your hands away from him as he reaches into the drawer above the sink. there’s an undertone of venom in his voice and it takes everything in you not to feel personally offended by the rejection because you know its not you he is rejecting. they say time heals wounds and yet here he is, five years free and he still feels like that same kid who was pushed down the stairs for not walking fast enough. the same kid who couldn’t protect his own mum and siblings.
you watch as he pulls out a familiar tube that’s almost empty, the one he uses to try and reduce the appearance of his scars. it's curled up from where he's tried to get every last drop of the cream. as if though this his holy grail that could rid him of any trace of enji.
“you’re beautiful yknow that?” you tuck an overgrown strand of his hair behind his pierced ear, clearing the are on his cheak where a thin white line runs across from the corner of his lip. you mean it too. you've always thought he was beautiful, telling him on an almost daily basis just to see the faint blush that starts on his cheeks and fades to the tips of his ears. even the dark black hair was beginning to grow on you (natsuo and shoto had thought it would be funny to swap out his usual shampoo for black hair dye).
he hums, if it's gratefulness for the compliment or the moving of his hair you’re not too sure. maybe both. maybe he just wants you to leave him alone.
“i can do it for you,” you offer when he struggles to get any of the cream out. the tube should've been thrown out four late night breakdowns ago.
touya huffs, leaning against the sink with the tube in his grip, avoiding your eyes as he nods his head in the direction of the door. “go back to bed. i’ll be there in five," his voice is rough and evident with a lack of sleep and you want to grab the closest blanket and coddle him till all the negative thoughts are forgotten by the blissful comfort of cotton.
when his gaze does meet yours you don't miss the redness in his eyes and the tears that stained his skin. he clears his throat, "you've got an early lecture. you need to sleep."
"how am i supposed to sleep without my boyfriend?" you retort and he looks at you unimpressed, like you shouldn't be looking at him as if though he's the center of your universe (which he is) and risk being late to your eight am lecture that you always complain about needing extra beauty sleep for.
you press a gentle peck to the side of his face and take the tube out of his hands, not letting him respond to your rhetorical question. he’s too tired to argue and you refuse to leave him by himself when he’s like this. the hatred touya has for his father still has this tightening choke-hold on him and it manifests in a disliking for any part of him that overlaps with his recollection of that man: his piercing blue eyes, the (former) bright red streaks in his white hair, that rage.
“i’d never hurt you.” touya’s voice is barely above a whisper and your heart breaks at the tears that are welling up in the corner of his eyes, visible even under the flickering bathroom light. “i’m not him.”
“i know that baby,” you promise with another peck, this time against his chapped lips. you squeeze on the tube and get a small drop onto your finger, holding it up for him to see, “you sure you still need this?”
“please,” he nods and your heart breaks a little to see how quiet he can be on nights like these. ones where every time he closes his eyes he's plagued with memories of what used to be to the point where the scar that can hardly be seen by anyone else against his pale complexion, becomes this nasty, ugly, raw gash to him that he’s stuck with. stuck with forever as a permanent taunt that he can never escape his father.
a silence falls between the two of you as you dab the cream into his skin, touya’s eyes watching you intently looking for any sign of disgust as you brush his cheek gently.
“all done,” you smile half-heartedly as you take a step back, screwing the lid back onto the tube for it to be put away. you knew what you were signing up for when you got involved with touya. you’d been volunteering at your aunt’s nursery since before you could remember and you’d seen touya often with his youngest brother. the staff had often gossiped about the state of his family’s affairs and you’d taken it upon yourself to sneaking a few extra treats from the pantry to slip into shoto’s bag, making him promise to share it among his siblings.
touya takes the tube from your hands and returns it to its position in the drawer, gently closing the door. that silence settles again as you both stare at one another, touya’s gaze full of pain and yours wishing you could reach out and kiss him and erase every memory that hurts him. he'd let you try.
he’s the first to break it.
“c’mon,” he murmurs, intertwining his hand with your smaller one as he leads you back to his room. it's the first bit of contact he's initiated as of yet and you don’t hesitate to follow.
you’re the one who pushes back the covers and gestures for him to climb into his double bed first before sliding in after him. within seconds he’s pulled you tightly into him, his hair tickling your chin as his head rests against your chest. one hand wraps around him and you use the other to caress his head as you let him rest. you don’t want to think about the hours and hours of sleep he’s probably missed.
“i love you so so much,” you tell him softly, sifting your hand gently through his black locks, “don’t know what i’d do without you.” you mean every word and touya wants to scoff because how can you need him… but there’s this sincerity in your voice that even he can’t ignore.
he tilts his head up and you catch a glimpse of those deep blue eyes that contrast against the darkness of the night that envelopes the room. “never leave me.”
“i could never, baby,” the hand that was drawing small circles on the back of his shoulders cups his cheek, “i promise i won’t.” for the first time since he’d been awoken by his past that night, touya finally feels some sort of relief from the tension that had taken over his body.
“i adore you,” touya breathes, knocking his nose against yours lightly as he leans in for a kiss. not just a peck – an actual kiss that personifies just how much he does adore you, his lifeline, his one source of relief in a world that’s shown him no mercy. you mimic his passion, wanting him to know just how much he means to you and how deeply you love him.

Title: Earrings
Warning(s): noncon body modification (ear piercing), possessive behavior, yandere shit, dead dove do not eat
Request(s): none
Summery: Fuyumi has lots of piercings and you make the mistake of asking her what they mean.
READ THE WARNINGS.
THIS IS A YANDERE BLOG.
DON’T LIKE DON’T READ
Fuyumi has earrings, four neat piercing, one stacked over the other, perfect studs, all four containing some type of jewel. You know the sapphire is for her twin because Touya has the same earrings in his own ears, in the same places the Fuyumi does. The pearl is for Natsou, of course, because Natsou’s powers are of water in the same way pearls are (infesting, rottening, making him like his family), the gold and ruby is for shouto, for his fire and ice (for his breaking and becoming) but you still don’t know what the amber stud represents, and today you’ve decided to ask her.
“Fuyumi?”
“Yes darling?”
“What is the amber stud for?”
“What do you mean my dear?”
“I mean you wear a sapphire for Touya, a pearl for Natsou, and a ruby for Shouto. What’s the amber for?”
She freezes, laughs a little, and really turns to face you. “It’s for you darling. I went and got it the day you joined the family.”
That’s the thing, you aren’t part of their family. You don’t belong here, won’t ever belong here. They took you from your home, from your family and sometimes it makes you sick to think about.
“I’m not a Todoroki, Fuyumi.”
She makes a little displeased sound that you know, know means bad things. “Why not dove?”
“You took me from my fuckiugn home, you kidnapped me. I don’t belong to any of you.”
She clicks her tongue, smiles, and picks up her phone, responding to a message, all the while you’re frozen in fear, trying not to scream from what you just said. How could you be so stupid as to make her angry? She’s scary on her own but with Touya behind her, she’s terrifying.
“Dove?” She says lightly, pulling your attention to her, “Did you know that all of our siblings have pierced ears?” You didn’t know that. You aren’t sure where this is going yet, but you know that you don’t like it.
Fuyumi picks up her phone again, texts someone and smiles. It’s not a kind smile, it’s a displeased one and that’s scary.
“I heard our snowflake wasnn’t listening today, hm?” It’s Touya. Your blood freezes up, and you want to throw up. If it were anyone but Touya, the situation might be manageable. Natsuo doesn’t care to hurt, hates the very idea, and Shou is so gentle that you couldn’t imagine him ever doing that but Touya, Touya is mean.
One time you called him. Dabi instead of Touya, and well, you still have the scar.
“Our snowflake seems to have forgotten where we all are in this family of ours.” Fuyumi says lightly, and you can feel Touya’s grin. “Well Yumi, I brought everything you asked for.” Fuyumi smiles, and it’s so fucking cold.
“Darling,” she says, obviously addressing you, “Sit down here please.” You take the ordered chair, freeze when you realize that in a moment, Fuyumi has snapped handcuffs to your hands, trapping you on the chair.
Like any logical person you start to struggle, panic invading like a parasite. A hand rests on your neck, cold and familiar. “Darling, if you keep moving Touya will mess up your new piercing.” Your vision whites you, and when you come to, Fuyumi is crouching in front of you. Her glasses flash, like the warning of an oncoming snowstorm, and she is silence, like the mountains before an avalanche. “Touya managed one of your piercings sweet thing but we still need to do this one. Can you be still for him or do I need to hold you?”
As there always with Fuyumi, there is a threat, a warning not to disobey. Touya is always the more obvious threat but Fuyumi is the cruelty that follows, the avalanche in the wake of violence, the punch of Touya’s scream.
“Can you hold me still?” You whisper, if only not to be complaint in your own torture. She smiles, smoothies, your hair back and suddenly your ears are piercing. The pain hits, like you’ve crashing into a wall, and although it is only a moment’’s worth, the hock of it has you crumbling in the chair.
As she always does, Fuyumi picks you up in the aftermath, gently shushing you. You end up squished between Touya and Fuyumi, the latter petting your hair.
“I didn’t even have to hold you still in the end darling. I’m so proud.”
A pit forms in your stomach when you realize that she’s right

Sweet Sweet Apathy
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Are you going to save my brother?" Those words gave you pause and made your stomach twist uncomfortably. "Um" you muttered scratching your cheek as you gaze down at the boys heterochromia eyes, "I'll certainly try" the words felt….wrong on your tongue.
You always tried to stray away from saying something along the lines of, yeah I'll save them guaranteed don't worry because that's not always the case.
There's been at least five people, so lost and twisted in their own minds that your words weren't able to pierce the protective barrier they built up, and as a result….they died….and the families were left grieving and heartbroken.
But the media never put a spotlight on that, no doctor miracle or whatever they call you's fuck ups are always carefully hidden under wraps and swept under the rug.
"You seem tense" Ms. Rei Himura spoke softly brown eyes gazing at you so gently yet her smile was strained with worry.
"I know I should be used to it, but the weight of someone's life in my hands always just" the words die on your tongue as a cold chill slips down your spine and you gaze off into nothingness with a pensive stare. "…makes things harder"
Ms. Himura says softly her voice full of sympathy, "but you will bring him back to us, right? You're Doctor Divine saving people on death row is like your whole stick" one of her children…Fuyumi asked hands balled into tightly clenched fist.
"I know he was a criminal" she spoke rubbing her arm anxiously, "a-a pretty bad one….but he just got mixed in with the wrong crowd…..that's all…..somewhere under all that loathing and hurt….is Toya" her voice cracked under the weight of her tears as she gently clung to the coat of your jacket
. "S-So please save him" she asked staring up at you expectantly. The tears spilling down her precious pale cheeks plucked at the strings of your heart, your anxiety sky rocketed and your hands trembled in your pockets.
They all looked at you with hopeful gazes, and it hurt that you couldn't give them a clear concrete answer, "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink, I can only fix what he allows me to" you whispered grimly but truthfully.
Eyes downcast so you wouldn't have to see their faces, "but I'll certainly try" said hopefully with a little more conviction.
"I will try my hardest to bring your brother back, but nothings guaranteed" the Todorki family looked a bit glum but Rei smiled exhaling deeply "yeah that's fair".
With the more pressing matters out of the way you let out a deep breath of relief as Enji Todorki drove you to where you'd be living for the next two years where you would try and fix the damage he caused, the drive was silent.
Not a word spoken, only thick silence filled the air, and the only thing filling your ears was the heavy hum of the car engine, the screech of wheels against the pavement, and the sound of your own breathing. As the car slowed, stopping in front of a lavish condo complex you swallowed nervously again.
Somehow word got out about that the famous Doctor Divine would be making an appearance, and so the side walk was flooded with people clamoring against each other to get a glance at you or maybe even a chance to speak with you, flashes from cameras overwhelmed you and you slunk deeper into your seat.
As the door was opened by an attendant the light came poor in and the sound of a thousand voices morphed into one loud cacophony. It was impossible to tell who the voice belonged to, and it made it hard to focus with so much noise competing for your attention.
Your eyes stayed glue to the floor as you walked towards the condo, trying to tune out all the citizens calling for you, as you reached the condo you breathe a sigh of relief as the noise became muffled behind closed doors.
Resting your hand on your chest, you took in your surroundings. The lobby was lavish, a modern sleek look with rich black carpet, and large mahogany desk set, white walls, and glass windows that overlooked Musutafu.
A gentle touch to your shoulder spooked you from your thoughts, your hands instantly latching onto the wrist person who startled you and glared at the perpetrator. "Sorry Doc" a charming voice chimed in and your eyes squinted, a handsome young man stood before you grinning widely.
"I suggest you keep your hands to yourself" you murmur before letting his wrist go, "sorry sorry I just wanted to introduce myself, you can call me Hawks"
His eyes like golden embers stared deep into your irises and you averted your gaze "and why are you here hawks" you asked skeptically readjusting your coat the man smirked down at you "well I'm going to be your body guard for the next two years - starting now" he said with a cheerful smile.
You sighed heavily at the thought of being tailed for two years but you simply nodded "okay" you said smacking your lips and turning to reach for your things, "oh no let me" Hawks said snatching all of your bags and walking towards the front door.
"Where are you going?" You asked confused throwing a thumb at the clearly empty and available elevator Hawks simply smiled and shrugged "oh you're staying in the pent house, and the elevators slow give me a sec and I'll be back for you gorgeous",
He clucked his tongue and winked at you before flying off you huffed already exasperated.
Deciding to take the elevator, you walked inside through the glass doors and pressed the p button as the elevator slowly ascended you pulled out your phone scrolling through text tomorrowwould be a day

Passing Peonies - Post War Touya Todoroki - Part IV
When the war ended, Midoriya Izuku had proven one thing: That Villains did not need to be killed to be defeated. That you could make friends from enemies.
Touya Todoroki, formerly known as Dabi, had been one of those taken into the rehabilitation program. After one year of intense physical and psychological therapy, he's got the chance to prove himself. To prove that he can be a part of this world.
Complete fic length: 30.600 words - Masterlist
Warnings: poor mental health and resentment against past actions is mentioned, burn scars etc. as well. There is angst but this is mostly soft Touya coming back to his family...

Part 4: (2,1k words)
You’re a good teacher.
He’d known before but it becomes clearer now.
He’s still got problems with fine motor skills, his fingers often too stiff to tie ribbons or cut the smallest branches without damaging the rest of a Bonsai but he’s learning so much, not just about taking care of plants but other things as well.
The old ladies that used to coo at your friendly gifts now flock around him, tell him about their grandkids and ask for his opinion on what to buy them.
He figures out quickly which students like his snarky comments and who’s appreciative of being guided toward a cheaper alternative.
The week after he gets his ZZ plant, he can choose between a bouquet or an indoor plant.
“You don’t even know if I’ve taken good care of him.”
“Well, have you?” You ask, pushing the sleeves of your cardigan up your arms as you prepare to dig into the roots of fiddle-leaf fig, the sight of your bare underarms distracting him for a second.
“Of course. But that’s not the point.”
“Bring him in tomorrow then if you want me to review your work.” You cheekily smile up at him. “Even if you’re just fishing for compliments.”
He picks a golden pothos for his therapist, knowing that he desperately needs a plant to light up that office while also knowing he can’t take that free bouquet and gift it to you, even if he’s starting to want to.
🌺.
Three months later you’ve fallen into a rhythm.
Every second Friday after closing you let him into your apartment where, after a grilled cheese sandwich and a shared bowl of soup, he waters your plants and renames them.
Bob’s doing so well, he’s already a parent, one of his kids now sitting on Fuyumi’s shelf.
Hawks has put in a request for more Bouquets for his agency, as well as his father and Shouto, who in turn has seemingly told all his classmates about this great flower shop downtown.
Touya would love how much more money you’re making now if all those customers wouldn’t cut into the time he gets to spend with you.
At least the purple-haired gremlin Shouto calls a classmate hasn’t shown up since he scared him off. He doesn’t like guys buying flowers as an excuse to check you out, especially when they’re too cheap to buy a proper bouquet.
🌺.
“No grilled cheese today.” You tell him one Friday evening as you close the door and turn the key. “I’m buying you dinner.”
His heart skips traitourously.
“You sure your plants can survive without my care?” He jokes and you grin.
“Positive. Now grab your jacket and let's head out.”
“What’s the occasion?”
“Oh, multiple things. We’ve got so much business now we’ll have to start dividing our orders into two different pick-up dates. What do you think of Tuesday and Thursday? We could use Monday and Wednesday to make the bouquets.”
“And the other reasons?”
You laugh, clearly figuring out that there’s no use in redirecting his thoughts.
“I don’t believe in anniversaries but I’ve heard people say that it’s always hardest after the third month, so I thought you could use a little celebration.”
He looks at you, calculates the slope of your nose against the curve of your lips, and cocks his head to the side.
“And the last thing?”
You sober up quickly, looking down the street into the dark night, the sign of a gas station glowing in the distance.
“Today’s the anniversary of my father’s death.” You look up at him, your eyes open and vulnerable. “I like to do something nice for someone else on that day. As a gift to the world, you know?”
He doesn’t know. But it fits you. Like green aprons and cardigans, white shirts, and grilled cheese.
-
“Do you want to talk about him?”
You walk in silence for a while, the same comfortable silence he’s shared with you since he’s met you, until eventually you open your mouth.
“We have the same quirk. It has been in our family for generations. My great-great-grandmother was a hero, actually. She made sure to marry someone who complimented her quirk and so on and so forth, until my father decided to marry someone quirkless, to not be a hero, or even a fancy landscaper. He just wanted a normal, comfortable life.”
You point at the door or the restaurant and he follows you, feeling like your story isn’t over yet, but not ready to push you to talk when you never do that with him.
The restaurant isn’t fancy, but it’s not fast food either, telling him that you’re spending quite some money when he’s seen how you live and knows how much the shop used to bring in.
When the waiter leaves your table and he opens his menu, you lean across the table to whisper, bringing along a scent he’s grown so familiar too. The scent of earth and greenery, of flowers and foliage, of you and your shop and your home.
“Sorry, what?” He shakes his head to clear his mind, realizing he missed every word you’ve just said.
“I said if you’re not against sharing they have this amazing combination of gyoza dumpling and melted cheese. They line the Gyoza up and when the cheese is melted you can dip the gyoza in. You can choose what the fillings are and if you want other dips for it but it’s usually a serving for two.”
He blinks at the giddiness lighting up your face. He’d never been especially inclined towards cheese until his mind started linking it to you and now, linking it to you being happy.
“Of course.” He hears himself say and sees you lighting up even more. “But if we order it, we have to go full in. Filled with cheese to dip in cheese. We’re not cowards after all.”
You giggle and he looks back down at the menu to keep himself from staring, glad that his skin grafts cannot blush.
When the waiter returns, however, he’s pulling a face that spells uncomfortableness.
“I’m sorry.” He says, clutching his notepad with both hands. “But I’m… well, I was made aware that we cannot serve you.”
“What do you mean?” Your face is full of confusion while Touya catches on faster.
“He means he can’t serve me.” He explains and the way the man cringes tells him everything he needs to know.
“It’s alright.” He says when he feels that it’s not, in fact, alright. “I’ll just see you tomorrow then.”
“No.” Your hand’s flat on the table and your voice serious. “Matsumoto-kun, you’ll be serving us.”
“I’m sorry, please, I-”
“Leave it.” Touya tells you, the hard line of your mouth something he hasn’t seen before.
“Is there a problem?” Behind Matsumoto, a new face appears.
“Yes.” You’re standing now, smaller than the two men, but standing your ground. “You’re taking part in the rehabilitation agreement, yet you’re not willing to serve a member of the same agreement. I don’t want to do this but I will have to make a formal complaint if you continue to refuse us service.”
“Madam.” The man behind Matsumoto, obviously the manager, is wringing his hands now. “This isn’t about the agreement. You have to understand what your companion did-”
“It doesn’t matter who he is or what he has done.” You tell them sharply. “He could be Tomura Shigaraki and it would still be your duty to serve him as a customer if he came in here as part of the Rehabiliation agreement.”
“This isn’t our decision,” Matsumoto whispers, eyes looking everywhere but at Touya himself who’s now standing himself, hand on your arm as if that would do something but ground himself.
“Come on.” He tells you. “Not today.”
And somehow he’s said the right thing because you nod and grab your purse and your jacket, following him out of the restaurant.
Five steps from the door he can hear you curse under your breath.
Ten steps from the door he can hear you sniffle and when he turns, you’re full on crying, fat tears dripping down your face.
“Hey. Hey, don’t cry about that. It’s not worth it.”
“It is!” You disagree wetly. “They shouldn’t treat you this way and now I’m mad and I’m hungry and I’m upset that I always cry when I’m mad, and-”
“If it would make you feel better you could let weeds grow in front of their door.”
“They would just pull it out, that’s just hurting the plants.” You complain but you’re almost smiling now.
He’s grinning back at you. “We could spray paint their windows. Egg the front. Put toilet paper over the door.”
“What are you? Five?”
He laughs and you laugh with him, frozen on the sidewalk in your shared little bubble.
“There’s a Kentucky Fried Chicken down the street, isn’t it?” He asks. “They have cheese fries. It’s not as good as dipping cheesy Gyoza into melted cheese but would it satisfy your cheesy needs?”
“You make me sound like an addict.”
“Aren’t you?”
“Maybe a little bit.”
-
He watches you pop another cheese-covered fry into your mouth and feels only a little weird about it.
“Feeling better?” He asks, chewing on his straw.
“A bit. But I’m still going to put in a formal complaint. It’s not okay.”
“It’s been a year. It’s going to take some time.”
“Still. God, now I can never go back there again and I don’t know anyone else who offers that dish.” You complain.
“I could learn how to make it.” The words are out of his mouth before he can stop them and he bites his tongue, regretting them immediately when you pinch your brows.
“I didn’t know you can cook.” You offer him an easy way out and he shrugs.
“I don’t. But it doesn’t sound that hard.”
You laugh. “Oh, it is. Why do you think I only offer you Miso soup and grilled cheese sandwiches?”
“Because that’s your favorite food?”
“True. But it’s also the only thing I can make. Well, when the sun’s in the right position and the moon’s not looking, I can also make a fried egg.”
He laughs at that.
“You seem so talented, I thought you’d be good at everything.”
Your smile wavers and you wipe your fingers, signaling you’re done with your food.
“Want to take a walk?” You ask and he nods, throwing away the trash and meeting you at the door.
Something in him wants to take your hand, make sure your pulse is still the same as always, that you’re fine and well and there with him, but he knows that’s not the whole reason.
He wants to take your hand because he wants to hold it and feels like a ZZ plant that’s been put in a dark spot, longing for more light and scared it might burn him at the same time.
He doesn’t put his hands in his pockets, lets them hang by his side loosely, hoping against hope that your hand will knock into his as if a ray of sunlight might accidentally come his way.
-
“My father died five years ago.” You tell the night sky above you. “He had a heart attack and died in his sleep. I miss him every day. And I know he’d be proud of me. Of what I’m doing and how I’m doing it. He’d love my apartment and my shop and even if he’d call every bouquet I make perfection, he’d still pluck around in it, because he couldn’t let anything go untouched. Isn’t that love, that you love something not only despite its imperfections but simply because of them?”
Heaviness settles in his gut yet again as your words sink in.
You look at him and he wonders if you’re talking about him too.
He thinks about his parents, his siblings, his friends - if he can call them that.
He wonders if they love him despite his imperfections and he wonders if he loves them.
“My mother remarried three years ago. And I’m happy for her, because her new husband is really nice, and she’s happy. But they moved, about two years ago, to America of all places. Plane tickets are expensive.”
“It gets lonely sometimes.” He says, not really knowing why until you nod.
“Yeah.” You breathe out. “Yeah.”
He wants to say that he’s here now. That you can lean on him. That he’ll be there for you.
But he doesn’t. Because he can’t. He shouldn’t. He won’t.
So he doesn’t say anything and it seems to be the right thing, allowing the two of you to walk in silence through the dark.
