I received my first apology letter from a kiddo last week. Let me translate it for you... "Ms. Jay (me). I am sorry Ms. Jay. I won't do that no more. I won't behave that way no more Ms. Jay. I love you Ms. Jay." What struck me most is that she was able to recognize her mistakes in her behavior and wanted to reconcile with me. 06/04/2019: On this day, I passed my very first Ph.D. milestone. I proposed my thesis!!! To take a research idea and transform into a do-able project wass much harder than I thought it was going to be, but I am so relieved that it’s done!
