Wow your art is incredible! You see I've always been a huge fan of crossovers and fusions and after playing genshin impact I've been thinking about a lot of crossovers for my fav character Yoimiya and 1 idea I fell in love with! which was a fusion with Yoimiya from Genshin Impact and Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls. So that's what I want you to draw a fusion between Yoimiya and Bill Cipher,if you don't mind of course.

At first I responded to every single one! And I still try to respond to every single person. But now, I sometimes only respond to the last one if it's a reader who's commented on every chapter and I get all the comments at once. I like staying connected to the readers, that's one of the most fun parts about fandom!

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

It has to be This Is Your Song. I mean, there's another one within a series that end in an angsty cliffhanger, but MCD surely has to take the prize?

What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

Oh my, nearly all of them have happy endings – so what would count as happier than happy..? Maybe it's actually the one that isn't posted yet – stay tuned for the resolution of the New Year's Kiss series!

Do you write crossovers?

Nope. I've written a fusion though (Johnlock and Moulin Rouge!).

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Yup. Some people get really angry at John in What Friends Do and they take it out on me. It's interesting because many MANY others adore the story with all their hearts! I even wrote a sequel from John's POV just to try to get people to understand, but the haters didn't understand anyway.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Even though at the beginning I said I'd never, half of my works are now rated E or M. What kind? Um, is "emotional, gay sex" a genre?

No, I think I'm too pedantic for that. I've loved working with my beta on some poem translations, though, that The Sky is Full of Fiddles is based on.

38 fics – you all know it's Johnlock, right? There are others that I love, but nothing can ever compare.

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

I don't have WIPs! I'm too much of a control freak and perfectionist when it comes to writing – I want to be able to change the beginning when I'm writing the ending. I don't even have unpublished WIPs – I hate the idea of leaving works unfinished. If I was still in those first years of writing frenzy, when I was single and didn't have a child, I'd have expanded on This Time – but as it is, I knew that I wouldn't have the time to do it justice. So I purposely ended on a cliffhanger that would still allow it to stand on its own the way it is.

What are your writing strengths?

Emotions, according to my beta! If you ask me, I'd say describing things – often emotions, I suppose – in new, poetic ways that play on different senses and therefore make them immediate. It's something I love reading myself, anyway, so it's something I've been practicing for... well, decades now. I'd like to think I've gotten at least somewhat good at it.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I'm weirdly bad at coming up with the small details that aren't important, but needed. A recent example is I needed a character to text another with an invented problem to try to get him to come over. It wasn't at all important what the problem was, but it also couldn't be just anything; it had to be in line with his character. I could not for the life of me come up with this problem myself – eventually my husband did it for me. So those kinds of details in my stories are rarely from my own brain!

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Hmm, well, I've tried not to do that. As a reader I find it annoying to have to look things up, or scroll down to the notes. I have three fics in which characters aren't English; in This Is Your Song I added a couple of "Bonjour"s for flavour, which is about as far as my own French knowledge reaches... In the Fiddles series they're Swedes and speak my mother tongue, but I've written everything in English except for the words that English doesn't have (like for example "polska", a kind of dance), and at the very end, some song lyrics that are then translated into English in the end notes that come immediately after. I did want to add that song for flavour, but I didn't want it to be annoying.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Johnlock! I started in the aftermath of season 4 back in January 2017 and then couldn't stop.

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?

I'm wondering whether I will come back to fic writing at a later point, but for another fandom. I've long wanted to write more for GO, although I already have written one fic. It would probably be a lot of fun to write for OFMD too. Doctor Who maybe? I don't know, it intimidates me to write for a new fandom where I don't yet know the characters as well as I know Sherlock and John.

What's your favourite fic you've written?

This question is too cruel! There are so many of them that I love. Maybe I have to say The Sky is Full of Fiddles, after all – it holds such a special place in my heart for many reasons that go beyond the story itself (although that's true for several fics). Other faves are Your Daughter, The Zebra Sheets and of course Who I Really Am, which I'm liking enough to turn it into a novel I'm now trying to get published. See, I couldn't pick one!!

Though I do write a lot of angst, I'm a happy endings only kinda gal, so not many angsty endings save for one or two very short ficlets. 🤣

That's a tough one! As I said above, happy endings only here so there are too many to try and choose between! 'I Don't Think We're In Hawkins Anymore, Big Boy' is probably my most lighthearted work in general, so that one definitely comes to mind. I think the most hard-earned happy ending would be a tie between Times Like These and Life is a Game.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not so far, and I feel so lucky for that. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do! It tends to be part of larger stories for me. And that's nothing against PWP, I LOVE me some PWP, I don't know if my smut is good enough to stand on it's own like that, but I am getting more comfortable with it! At the end of the day, with Steddie no matter what else the plot contains I'm also writing a romance, and most of the time the smut winds up happening naturally within the story. To me, the boys are almost always down bad for each other on sight, so it's only inevitable that they wind up falling in bed together, one way or another. 😆

10. Do you write crossovers?

I have written two crossover/fusion au's! So far 'I Don't Think We're In Hawkins Anymore, Big Boy' is a Wizard of Oz AU. Steve Harrington: Vampire Hunter is an Anita Blake AU

At the moment I don't have any real WIPS that I don't fully intend on finishing. Now, I do have a folder full of random ideas, many of the docs within only have a few sentences worth of words and I'm sure many of those will sadly go unwritten.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I don't know if that's for ME to say, but I THINK I do good dialog and banter. I know when I'm writing the dialog is always what comes easiest, and usually first before the rest of the story.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Rushing/not expanding on some things. I think sometimes I rush through certain areas or aspects of a story that maybe I think will be boring, but would benefit from a little room the breathe.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

It wouldn't bother me in reading as long as the dialog is either explained somehow or if I'm just not supposed to know what the character is saying. It hasn't come up in my own writing so I'm not sure how I'd handle that scenario.

Already answered this in an earlier ask, but another dynamic that i love (love love love) is a little... needy Wille. a little "i'll die if you don't touch me right now" and "please simon". and of course paired with Simon who is ready to give him the fucking world

🍑 If you could make a connection between your favorite character and another work you care about (whether a crossover/fusion or a wonderfully “pretentious” literary reference) what would it be? How would it work?

Okay I have no idea how this would work so don't ask me that but I'll often be listening to a musical and then briefly think "huh wouldnt this be a fun fic" with musicals that would not work as wilmon fic. Like ... idk waitress. Because every time I hear "You Matter to Me" I need Wilmon to sing that to each other BUT there are some major issues with that namely that one of them needs to be pregnant (though... idk maybe they just adopted the kid with their abusive husband ? but then why do they need to go to the doctor?) and two, Jenna and Pomatter don't actually end up together. Because Pomatter's wife is a genuinely sweet person

Another musical I'd love to cross over with is les mis. Wille is Marius, Simon is Eponine.

But the problem with musicals is that they have genuinely complex and really fucking flawed characters sometimes (pretending to be your bully's best friend after he dies to gain sympathy points... for instance) and though I love complicated and messy fics, I am always scared of writing those myself for fear of writing them too problematic. but that doesnt mean i dont think about it.

🍍 What kind of AUs do you like? Are there any AUs you hate or just generally have beef with?

There's no AUs that I actually hate, I'm not the biggest fan of Omegaverse AU and especially not when certain. words. are used but I understand those words are part of the genre so I'll simply not read it. Other than that, I'll literally read any AU you throw my way but in terms of Young Royals, I love a little Alternate Meeting AU (and many more but that's just the first thing I thought of). OH and obviously an exes to lovers post-canon. fuck i want them all

1) What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)

This is really tough because honestly there’s a difference between whether someone’s looking for my RGB puzzler stuff or my Cookie Run stuff. It’s like. 2 different categories. If you’re introduced to me through cookie run, the RGB boys are gonna be a bit of a jumpscare. But all that to say it’s one of two:

For the RGB boys? Absolutely To My Dear Friend, it holds up decently well even if im not AS proud of it, but it’s a good intro to how I handle the apolluke dynamic, the humor hits, and it doesn’t require any further AU context. Good fic!!!

Generally though??? This may come as a shock but it’s A Sense of Duty! I feel like it’s a good intro into my writing style and how I like to do things, and a crossover to boot so you know what you’re getting into. Additionally 1) it has the same bonuses as TMDF, where the humor hits and no further reading is needed (mainly bc atm there is none, oof) and 2) I just really like it. im very proud of this fic.

please note that if I had written the sarnieshipping fic im currently shaking in my mind, that neither of these would keep their thrones. but until I do that? shared custody.

4) What detail in [insert fic] are you really proud of?

MORE ABOUT MY WINDKNIGHT FIC. FOR FUN. I point to these lines:

so Knight used his fan to cut through the wind and slice at the monster. The hobgoblin’s hiss turned into the screech, and Knight winced at the force of it. That technique wasn’t usually that effective. Odd, but not unwelcome.

this is a really small thing but I wanna point it out bc I feel like nobodies noticed. the implication here is supposed to be that wind archer is helping (consciously or not) boosts knight’s royal wave attack, bc. yk. wind. this line is just really fun to me I love this detail.

8) What song would make a great fic (to either write or read)?

THERE IS A FIREKNIGHT FIC IN MY HEAD TO LITTLE TALKS BY OF MONSTERS AND MEN AND IT WONT LEAVE ME. I NEED TO SEE SOMEONE MAKE SOMETHING WITH THEM TO THIS SONG. ON MY KNEES. BEGGING EVEN.

Okay I do love the fact that it's like "the forest is dark and deep is an outlier and should not have been counted" because everything else is DCU.

I try! It's rough in my inbox right now so I've started just opening up stories and replying to all the comments on them straight on to try and tame the inbox down. You might be two years late but I'm getting there.

Honestly, sometimes people tell me I don't have to and I'm like "No, I'm gonna--eventually" not because I feel like I must, but because I like to! Author's talk about their love of comments all the time, but it's the love of the conversation, and sometimes having that back and forth reveals new and fun things about your story too. I love comments and replying, I just, sometimes get to a point where it's "you either get a reply or an update" and then I do that too many times in a row and the inbox becomes ungovernable.

Do you write crossovers?

I used to. I'll still enjoy a good fusion au, but I rarely straight up cross over characters anymore. They're fun thought experiments though, trying to figure out how different worlds would collide.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes. What kind? I don't know, whatever kind serves the plot. I'm not a PWP writer, let's put it that way. It's more "if this fits the purpose of the story or emotional arc, I'll write it." Very rarely do I just because... though that happens randomly sometimes.

Yes. In both the straight up plagiarism way and in the someone reposted my fic to wattpad and said their friend (with a totally different name) wrote it.

Yes! Though some of them seem to have disappeared off ao3 over the years which is too bad. But I remember some were Chinese and some were Russian. A few podfics too! And let me tell you, nothing is better than that feeling, but also hearing someone read my own words does send me immediately scurrying to hide under my bed.

what are your writing strengths?

i always try to set a scene to be so immersive that anyone reading feels like they’re seeing it just as clearly as I am — and its so gratifying anytime someone tells me I felt like I was right there with them. this also applies to what I refer to as my 4K porn visions. I also received such a touching compliment for my dialogue recently (if you’re seeing this, i adore you btw) so I’ll put that here too.

what are your writing weaknesses?

I have never been succinct in my life so I do not end sentences rationally (@celeritas2997 can attest to the No Consequences one-breath challenge). I think sometimes I use too many words for things, but then I don’t cut any of them and add more. I’m also bad at math, though that’s more of a tangential personal flaw. also, generating an actual plot.

thoughts on dialogue in another language?

I love this, especially when you have multilingual characters, but I would be way too worried about getting it wrong when I don’t speak the language.

Talk Shop Tuesday: Do you have an episode you've been especially excited to add a Morgan to?

YESSSS I love this question!! Here’s some off the top of my head:

1x17 (Barry tries to bench Morgan because of [redacted for spoilers], but Morgan ofc doesn’t listen because Iris and Henry are both in danger and Barry can’t focus on both of them. Results in some tension between them too, esp on Barry’s end (and tbh I get why))

1x19 (I’ve discussed why here :D ✨Bates-induced angst/whump✨)

1x23 (the Morgan vs Eowells confrontation in the finale…oooh it’s gonna be SO GOOD)

2x13-2x14 (I’ve been more and more tempted lately to have Morgan tag along to rescue Jesse, and!! I’m so excited!! Especially because she and E2 Barry would hit it off, and that’s so fun to think about)

Not a specific episode count, but…Morgan & Jesse’s roommates arc. I know it’s post-2x16, but beyond that, the details are currently fuzzy 😅

2x16 (the Trajectory episode!! Still nailing down some details, but I’m excited 💞 Eliza survives this episode ofc, and she even gets to chew Tina out a little. And Morgan shows her first big sister compassion 🥺 also also, a little backstory modification for Eliza regarding how she got her powers, sticking closer to the comics, and no split personality (and I’ve mentioned before that like the comics, she’s a WOC in my AU!))

2x17 (Barry travels back to 1x11!! So excited to write him interacting with s1 Team Flash…and especially s1 Morgan. Oh the dramatic irony. Oh the fury he’d feel, and the helplessness—the red flags are neon signs to him now, and it’s pissing him off that he can’t act on his impulse to protect her from Eowells. But Barry also knows that as unhinged as Eowells is…he’ll do anything to save/protect Morgan (for selfish reasons ofc, but still). And Morgan happens to be in danger back home…)

2x18 (the episode where Barry almost catches Zoom, but then Zoom gets Barry to give up his speed…hmm I see some ✨interesting✨ potential here)

2x20 (Barry dying (sorta)?? Morgan having to watch?? Morgan getting pissed at Harry, but also at herself because she and Barry were fighting for a little while before this and never got to resolve things?? And the catharsis is gonna be so sweet and intense too, y’all aren’t ready 🥰)

2x22 (Morgan does something that Barry cherishes forever 💞 also…someone’s powers are sparked 👀)

s3 (in general. I have a whole grand plan for how I’m rewriting s3…and especially how I’m rewriting Savitar. And his dynamic with Morgan…I’m so excited to write it :D)

s4, Crisis X, I forget the episode number (so…listen, I still have to figure out what fixes I’m making to this disaster of a Crisis (Stein won’t be dying, but that’s all I’m sure of rn). What I do know, though, is that Barry and Morgan, and Wally and Iris, will have a brother-sister dance at the Westallen wedding (Wallinda will probably dance at least once there too), and it’ll be great 🥰 and possibly a Morgan and Jesse power swap that happens an episode prior and lasts throughout this crossover, though I still have to iron out those details 😅)

5x18 (this is the s5 backstory episode and…really this is just my way of saying I have a storyline planned out for this future version of Morgan that I’m very excited to share 👀 tho it’ll be revealed in a different way than the show. Events of s5 will be shuffled around a bit)

s6 Crisis (will involve Thawne ofc, and parts of the og 2024 Crisis. It’ll be a fusion of sorts. May also involve the return of someone unexpected…👀 and it’ll also be…quite the emotional rollercoaster for poor Morgan. Also, this is roughly where the AU’s finale is gonna be, so ofc I’m excited for this!)

Fruit Emoji Ask Game for Fic Writers

🍓 What’s a fic you’ve written you feel is underrated?

As a whole, I feel like even if my main longfic gets popular, the side pieces I write for the same story/ship tend to fly under the radar. I mean, Catch and Release is my most popular fic, it has 431 kudos and over 13,000 hits, but none of the 5 side pieces I have for it crack 50 hits (HITS, mind you, not kudos). Same story with Bolts and Blasters - over 6,000 hits on the main piece, only a fraction of that on the side pieces.

But in terms of which ship as a whole I think is underrated, I have to say Heartstrings and its associate side pieces. AHS is a pretty big fandom so I'm not sure why the fic has gone so quiet, but Jasper and Kyle are adorable together and I think it's one of my best-written fics! And none of the side pieces have even reached 10 hits, even though most of them are exactly the sort of cute domestic-fluff or hurt/comfort pieces people usually seem to go wild for. Jasper and Kyle deserve so much more love, I think.

🍊 Who’s a character you don’t write for that often, but keep meaning to write for more? (They’re so interesting! But maybe you have trouble pinning them down, or keep getting distracted by another blorbo…)

Harley Quinn for sure! She's one of my favorite characters and I have a few pieces planned for her, but I haven't written as much as I'd like yet. Part of that is just time, I've been balancing way too many writing projects as it is and can't really afford to throw more on the pile right now, and part of it is that the Suicide Squad fics I've already written tend to focus more on the other characters and I haven't had the chance to focus on her as much yet.

🍑 If you could make a connection between your favorite character and another work you care about (whether a crossover/fusion or a wonderfully “pretentious” literary reference) what would it be? How would it work?

I mean, my favorite character is of course Archangel from X-Men, and as for another work I care about... hm... well, one of my favorite books is the Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix, and while it doesn't align perfectly, Warren does fall into a similar role of "charismatic, well-off, but slightly mysterious blond guy who seems to be hiding something" that James Harris does in the book. It would be an interesting crossover to see, I think!

I think it could be neat to see how his secret takes form - is he still a mutant, or is he a vampire like in the book? Is he hiding good deeds or bad? There's a lot of fundamental differences between the two characters from that respect, and I think it could be a fun concept to toy around with.

SIDE 2C: ROUND 1: Selina Kyle (Catwoman) (DC Comics)/Loki (Marvel Cinematic Universe) VS Apollo (Percy Jackson)/Clark Kent (Superman) (Superman)

Propaganda for Selina Kyle (Catwoman)/Loki:

Two not quite villains who will never be content as heroes despite how much their friends and family would like them to be. They can sass each other and steal things together. In fact, Loki, being old as most artifacts, can claim that anything they steal technically belongs to him through some convoluted story that may or may not be true. So they've got this game going on with Batman. If he catches them, the museum can keep the object. Otherwise, Loki gets to keep "his stuff" and no one bothers them to avoid an incident with Asgard. It drives Batman up the wall. Loki and Selina are two beautiful Neutrals with a dash of chaos. He adores her and she loves his mystery and pizzazz. They bring out the best in each other. The Joker is dead and Loki has taken over his turf as the Crown Prince of Crime Alley. He sits on his ice throne with his darling Selina, finding new and vicious nonfatal ways of dealing with those who try to usurp them. They might intervene if they hear someone is doing something evil enough, so if you want to get rid of your enemies, feel free to snitch. Selina and Loki both think the other is sexy. Selina loves that Loki isn't quite evil but she doesn't feel bad for stealing when she's with him. He makes it fun. Loki loves that Selina has given him a chance and doesn't have grand expectations of heroics from him. That he doesn't need power to keep her.

Propaganda for Apollo/Clark Kent (Superman):

at first I was just like "Apollo gets a crush on Superman and tries unsuccessfully to flirt with him multiple times" but then I started shipping it accidentally so now it's "casually dating -> friends"

I was reading some DC fic and it mentioned the god Apollo (who also exists in DC but is not relevant he is different) not liking Superman and I immediately was like "what? no. apollo is a simp and would totally crush on superman" because I have pjo!Apollo brainrot and I started planning a fic and a whole DC/PJO fusion universe to go with it. Superman is powered by the sun, and he is hot, and his motto includes the word "truth", these are all the reasons Apollo tells himself he should date Superman, maybe superman mentioned once in an interview that he knows to play the harmonica or something too (Apollo is a god of many things including the sun, music, and truth)

anyway I wasn't planning on seriously shipping them, I don't think Clark would be into Apollo, not exactly his type. just wanted to write some crossover shenanigans and Apollo being a loser(affectionate <3) but while planning the fic, I didn't know how I want to end it , and started thinking "what if they did date, though?", and settled on the setup of Clark being hopelessly in love with Batman, who is really not in a mental place to date/ Clark is too afraid of rejection or something to ask him, and Lois encourages Clark to try going out with new people to get over Batman, so when Apollo starts flirting with Superman, it's at the right timing and Clark decides to give it a chance and they get to know each other

anyway they get together and I have some scenes written exploring what they could have in common, and other characters from both canons reacting to this relationship, but I don't want sum up alll of it here because it's a lot. eventually they break up but remain friends because I don't see them as an endgame ship (Apollo being immortal and stuff I don't think they would date for more than a year), I think Apollo would encourage Clark to act on his crush on Batman.

30, currently. I've had a few more in the past that I've since orphaned, and most of my stuff from old fandoms is archive-locked, but that's the total number.

Currently just Genshin Impact, though I've had a couple ideas for other fandoms that get to stay in the ideas box because I'm simply too busy for them. In the past the fandoms I've written most substantially for were Noragami, BSD, and Persona 5, and there are a few other random ones in there too.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I used to not respond to comments because I was shy and was never really brought up in fandom to know how to interact with other community members without feeling awkward. But now I try to respond to every comment I get, because I know I always get serotonin when authors reply to my comments, so I'd like to hope that I can give that feeling back to others.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

The only fic I've ever written that had MCD was a BNHA fic I wrote based on the song Ghost Rule by Deco*27, so I'd say that one (but please don't go read it that fic is so old agh). I prefer happy endings, so I don't write stuff like that very much.

7. What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Most of my fics don't have particularly high stakes imo, so it's a little hard to compare in this regard. If I interpret this as the most hopeful ending though, I'd say either Disambiguation, the Persona 5 fic I wrote for the 2020 Goro Big Bang, or The Petrus Will Taste Less Bitter.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Thankfully, no. I've gotten a couple of comments that offered unwanted constructive criticism or sort of pedantic corrections, and there was one person who commented on the collab fic I'm writing asking my co-author when she would update another one of her fics, which sucked. Largely though, people have been very kind about my fics, which means the world to me <3

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I have written smut before, but only for fun so none of it has ever been posted. I do hope to write some in the future though, so I'll leave what it's about as a surprise ;)

10. Do you write crossovers? If so, what's the craziest one you've ever written?

I'm not a big fan of crossovers, so I've never written one. I have written a fusion au of BSD and Persona though, which was pretty fun.

Yes! I'm currently co-writing Talk the Stars with my lovely friend Miki, and I do also have a BNHA crack fic writing roulette that I wrote with a group of fandom friends waaaaay back in the day.

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

There hasn't been a ship of mine that I would say has proved itself entirely timeless yet, but as of now my favorite ship is still xiaoven (Xiao/Venti) from Genshin Impact. If we ask AO3 though my most written for ship is still (unfortunately) soukoku (Osamu Dazai/Chuuya Nakahara) from BSD.

15. What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

My only current wip is Talk the Stars, and I want to remain optimistic about it, so take my entire box of ideas that I want to write but may never get to instead!

16. What are your writing strengths?

I've been complimented on my characterization in the past, which is always an incredible honor!

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Actually writing- Joking, I'm joking! I feel like I've always struggled with the minute descriptions that go between dialogue. Like I'm good at dialogue and I can describe things fine when no one's talking, but I can struggle with the little movements and facial expressions that go between.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I don't mind single words or little phrases, I know I've attempted (to a questionable amount of success tbh) to use German pet names in Venti's dialogue, but they never really sound right, probably because I don't speak German and don't understand proper usage. The one place I really object is where people will write entire sentences in a foreign language in the fic and then not provide a translation even in the author's note, which I have encountered and is quite annoying.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

My first fic on AO3 was a little one-shot for Kagerou Daze!

20. Favorite fic you've written?

Call it recency bias, but my newest fic, A Mora for the Bard, Held Between Your Lips, is one of the best things I've ever posted imo. I put a lot into it, and I think the end product speaks to that. I don't think it'll be my favorite forever, of course, but for now it holds a special place in my heart

And yeah, I'd be happy to talk about one of my many crossover fics (seriously I have a ton lmfaooo).

Recapping "For Me, It Was Only Today": CL/MLB AU with combining lores, Lyoko powers sprouting irl, and some Odd/Adrien rarepair shipping

Okay I'll admit straight off that I didn't realize how much content I made in the trio AUs for a CL/MLB crossover. I thought it was just Cherrybird with all the stuff I wrote up but I'm looking at this one and Strays and it's hitting me my notes are so deep haha

They were so thought out that I got stuck for a moment thinking about how I'd explain this but here I'll try my best:

I mentioned this above but this fic of the trio I do plan to mix the lores together without going uh, too crazy. I don't want to reveal my hand given it's supposed to be a big plot point properly unveiled in this version's take on the episode Franz Hopper (I had to specify episode but it's also fun adjusting Hopper the character in this lore shift).

If this got posted this would likely be a fusion type of crossover I think.

This fic in particular is limited to Ulrich's POV given I want to have the story be about the Warriors seeing Odd's shifting relationship with Chat Noir. The wacky lore is just stuff that goes on in day-to-day. Also sorta open ended to leave room for additional content given the lore of this particular fic is pretty big + the cast leaves ample other stories to tell from their perspectives.

But I digress, we're talking about the Ulrich POV for this fic in particular.

I'll first start off by focusing on the format of this fic in particular. There should be about 12 chapter to match up with the Subdigitals album because I'm a bit corny and wanted to pair that up haha

Each chapter takes the premise of a episode (whether it be CL or MLB) and meshes it together with the crossover/lore shift.

An example I can throw out is the first chapter, which would just be Ulrich and Odd chatting while watching some of the events of Prime Queen happen from their phones (given Nadia did host her segment etc etc).

The CL powers though I agree I'm also a big "powers in the real world" enjoyer haha. Sometimes I just think about this AU in a bubble without the crossover and ponder the shenanigans that can crop up if you just play the power exposure as comedy instead of the angsty potential it is.

Love this AU because the kids are not alright. They have to adjust to shifting into things very much not human, despite having some of the basic human traits.

Odd gets the worst of it given he's a literal cat-boy in Lyoko. The Digitization process is subtle at first but then it becomes extremely difficult to hide that he's growing purple fur, he's nursing intense migraines whenever a Future Flash decides to crop up, his vision nearly landed him some glasses, etc.

Yumi and Ulrich don't have it as bad, but the pains that settle in once Telekinesis and Super Sprint respectively show up for each of them is exhausting. Their clothing tends to get shifted by their exposure, so there's a bit of a running gag of swapping shoes out so they don't constantly lose them (at one point Ulrich has more sandals than shoes lmao)

I also toss in some new abilities because as they grow older aka as the chapters progress in the fic. Odd deals with camouflage that glitches whenever his emotions get out of control (it changes the color of his purple fur like it's a mood ring), Ulrich has to keep a certain mask on him (the one on the back of his S1-S3 outfit) just to make sure he's not phasing through the earth every few minutes, and Yumi has to be very cautious when it comes to stepping in shadows in fear of getting stuck in them.

Digitization (i.e. the term Jeremie coins to explain the shifts the four are going through) is not completely defined all at once. It takes time and as they grow older, their forms will only grow stronger and more defined.

The process isn't immediate for anyone. It shows up with frequent scanner usage, though it isn't until the events of Frontier that it truly settles in that Odd, Ulrich, and Yumi are not exactly humans anymore.

Will also mention that I abuse the concept of TransWatches that Evolution introduced and rehash them to be a temporary solution to let the kids blend in as proper humans. It doesn't prevent some of their glitches from leaking out though, just hides away their outfit changes or their cosmetic changes (i.e. Odd's fur or Yumi's makeup).

Aelita does not immediately experience Digitization given she only used the scanners once then stayed on Lyoko for a long time. Throughout S2 she'll deal with her own changes and will catch up in time with her creativity ability being very uh, destructive when it comes to her nightmares making the power flare. This fic in particular glosses over it given it's not her perspective focus but I feel like I should mention Aelita since I don't give her a lot of love in these recaps ;-;

I also feel extremely bad for Jeremie since he always has the weight of the world on his shoulders all because of his decision. He's the leader of the group and sometimes his plans don't pan out which result in him being extremely cautious to give them another shot unless he's forced to.

One of these plans was trying to enlist Ladybug and Chat Noir for help at the very beginning of this mess. A RTTP stopped the duo from trying to get rid of the machine to prevent XANA from ever harming the real world again. So it's obvious why he wouldn't be the biggest fan of Odd turning around and trying to court Chat Noir.

I'll talk about the Chat Noir in the room. Why him? Why not Ladybug? Well besides my own shipping agenda, I do have a bit of a fic logic haha

The fic in particular starts in the midst of MLB S2. Ladybug and Chat Noir have been established in Paris enough. The whole reason Adrien gets involved is due to Fluff.

She's the one able to sense all this time phenomenons and wants to know more. Fu is already busy with training Marinette to be the Guardian atp, so he decides to give this investigation mission to Chat Noir to satisfy Fluff's curiosity.

Hence Adrien gets his own time companion and has to keep this secret from Ladybug (Fu doesn't want it to leak out to anyone that Chat currently possesses another Miraculous, that and he worries Ladybug would become distracted if she found out that Chat is working on other things not involving her).

MLB S2 is working around the same time as CL S1. So thanks to Fluff's Miraculous, Adrien can feel the time shifts too. He just can't completely remember things.

This is how Adrien gets to remember some of his interactions with the Warriors, and how he and Odd start to bond a bit. A Great Day is when Fluff can finally fulfill her satisfaction and Burrows herself, Adrien, and Plagg into these Time Phenomenons.

After that the shenanigans can properly ensue where Adrien can remember everything after a RTTP has been done. He also has to give Fluff back as she's perfectly fine with these phenomenons now that she can properly access them in her Burrow.

Adrien couldn't leave well enough alone though, way too curious about why these things were happening in the first place. It's why he continues his investigation to the other plot points that happen generally in the fic.

I'm sorry if this one seems pretty jumbled haha. I have been having some issues with sleep so my brain was just all over the place trying to convey this recap without like giving up everything plotted out.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I really try, but I'm horrible at it! I always forget to reply and then I always feel super awkward. But just know, I read every single one and love them all SO SO much!

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Toward Them, the angst-heavy spinoff of Toward the Sun (an AU of that fic, if you will)

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Oh man. Most of them have happy endings. I rarely write anything that doesn't have one. The happiest might be Toward the Sun and its sequel, No Shadows in the Sun.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not on the fics, no, but I'm well aware that my tastes skew toward the minority.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes, almost every fic is rated E for exactly that. I write a mixture, MF, MM, and MMF primarily.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I've written a couple. I don't know if they're crossovers or fusions, though. The craziest is probably the Nil/Kotallo How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days fic, Hearts and Diamonds.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I'm aware of (and I hope it stays that way)

Nope

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Not yet, but Nyx and I dabbled in a co-universe with the AO Magazine fics.

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

Hmm, as engrossed as I've been in Horizon, my ALL-TIME ship would probably be Destiel. I've read sooo many of those fics over the years (although never written one).

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I stubbornly refuse to admit that there are any I won't ever finish, but it may take me a while. 😂

16. What are your writing strengths?

Hmm, I think dialogue comes fairly easily to me. Also smut's not too terribly difficult.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I tend to struggle with remembering to add descriptors. I often have to go back in the editing process and add descriptions of people and things.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I'm not opposed to it by any means, but since I don't know any other languages, I'd be worried about getting it wrong and taking readers who did know that language out of the story. For that reason I'll probably avoid doing it.

Fallout 4

20. Favorite fic you've ever written?

That's a tough one. Maybe G&G. It was incredibly fun to write.

Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? Not a crossover per se but a fusion of JatP and Stranger Things that I came up with with @innytoes where it's a Stranger Things-esque world with JatP characters, there's a ficlet here

The ST summer camp au, as well as all of my ST and It wips, are being co-written by a close IRL friend. @nuandia and I have the dancing with our hands tied series. @jmrothwell and I are currently plotting on uber baby (still the best wip name imo). And @bananakarenina and I have put on that old song in the works.

What's your favorite all-time ship? Even as a multi-shipper...I must admit that my favorite is currently Reggie/Julie 😆 along with any OT3 they're in lol

What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? A few...I don't even list them in wip games anymore because I haven't touched/thought of them in ages. There's the Rulie epistolary and the Peterpatterlina fake dating au off the top of my head

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I'll do it sparingly with Spanish, as it's the only other language I have a good grasp on atm

First fandom you wrote for? Officially? It (2017) I think, although I probably still have some long orphaned Gravity Falls fic from high school floating around

Favorite fic you've written? Honestly, it's probably Tangerine (not the full title, affectionately called that for short), the sexy Rulie pirate AU. I just really love how it turned out all around, with the tone and the imagery (and the smut of course lol)
