The advantages of choosing Pristine Carpet Cleaning Killeen, TX!
Tumblr media
If you have ever tried to clean the carpeting in your home by yourself, then you already know what a chore and what type of problems could result. What winds up happening is that you had some great intentions of making your carpeting look like new again, but those expectations fell short and your carpeting is now soggy, dirtier, and your home is starting to smell moldy after using that rental carpet cleaning machine. Carpet cleaning is something that should certainly be left to the professionals.
Here are just some of the reasons to choose Pristine Carpet Cleaning cleaning if you want to make your carpets look like new again.
Quality Professional Grade Equipment
DIY carpet cleaning is not an easy task if you haven’t tried to do this before. First, you have to drive to the store to rent the bulky cleaning equipment and get it in your vehicle and unloaded at the house. These machines have been used in a dozen houses this week already, are cumbersome to operate, and usually leave more water on the flooring than vacuumed up. A professional carpet cleaning company has high-powered trunk-mounted equipment that runs outside while the only part in your home is the hoses and attachments. Technicians treat the flooring first, then uses scrubbers to loosen debris trapped in the carpet fibers, and then before the solution can get to the padding, industrial vacuums suck up that dirty water. Large fans are used to ensure the rooms are dry to the touch before the team leaves the home.
Cleaning Every Inch of Flooring
If you were to try and clean the carpeting in your home by yourself, be prepared for a challenge to say the least. First, you move all the furniture out of the room, clean the flooring, then because it can’t dry because you used too much water, you can’t return the furniture and get started on the next room. The expert carpet cleaning team work effectively together by moving all the furniture, cleaning every inch of flooring, drying the surface, moving back the furniture, going to the next room. In the time it would take for you to do one room, the experts at Pristine Carpet Cleaning Killeen are done in your home with all the rooms and they look and smell spectacular.
Removing Every Drop of Dirty Water
That carpet cleaning machine that you rented from the home center has been used a hundred times this year already, and it barely can disperse water let along suck it all up. This one machine has to clean and vacuum, so quality definitely suffers compared to the huge machines that are used by the carpet cleaning teams for specific jobs. Those rental machines have weak suction power, so you drench the flooring with water, then can barely get 50 percent of it back into the machine. Now you have dirty water soaking through to the padding, creating the ideal conditions for mold growth. High-powered vacuums used by the professionals at Pristine Carpet Cleaning Killeen remove water and debris before it gets to the padding, leaving the flooring almost dry to the touch.
Sparking Clean and Dry Carpeting
When you rent a carpet cleaning machine for the weekend, that machine allows water to soak the flooring, it barely sucks up the water, and you’re left with soggy and damp flooring. The professional carpet cleaners at Pristine Carpet Cleaning Killeen leaves the carpeting as dry as possible down to the padding. Then those industrial strength air movers are brought in to dry the surface to the touch and prepare the carpeting for additional treatment. Unlike when you do it yourself, the carpet cleaning team can apply a protective solution to the surface of the carpeting that will help keep spills from getting down to the padding. The coating allows you time to get the spill cleaned up before it gets into the carpet fibers, helping to keep the carpeting looking like new longer and even help with reducing the appearance of heavy traffic areas too.The team at Pristine Carpet Cleaning Killeen are not only experts when it comes to restoring the flooring, we can help you with pressure washing the exterior of your home, upholstery cleaning, and restoring the original look to your tile and grout throughout the house.

Nidal Malik Hasan (9/8/70) is an American convicted of fatally shooting 13 people and injuring more than 30 others in the Fort Hood mass shooting on 11/5/09. Hasan was a United States Army Medical Corps psychiatrist who admitted to the shootings at his court-martial in August 2013. A jury panel of 13 officers convicted him of 13 counts of premeditated murder, 32 counts of attempted murder, and unanimously recommended he be dismissed from the service and sentenced to death. Hasan is incarcerated at the United States Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas awaiting execution while his case is reviewed by appellate courts. In the Fort Hood shooting, on November 5, 2009, Hasan reportedly shouted "Allahu Akbar!" (The phrase literally means "Allah is great"; it is usually translated "God is [the] Greatest", or "God is Great") and opened fire in the Soldier Readiness Center of Fort Hood, located in Killeen, Texas, killing 13 people and wounding over 30 others in the worst shooting ever to take place on an American military base. Department of the Army Civilian Police Sergeant Kimberly D. Munley encountered Hasan exiting the building in pursuit of a wounded soldier. Munley and Hasan exchanged shots; Munley was hit twice, in her thigh and in her knee, knocking her to the ground. In the meantime, Sergeant Mark Todd, also of the DACP, arrived and fired at Hasan, who was hit and felled by shots from Todd. Todd approached Hasan and kicked a pistol out of his hand. Hasan was placed in handcuffs as he fell unconscious. The incident lasted about 10 minutes. Hasan was to be deployed to Afghanistan, contrary to earlier reports that he was to go to Iraq, on November 28. Prior to the incident, Hasan told a local store owner that he was stressed about his imminent deployment to Afghanistan since he might have to fight or kill fellow Muslims. Hasan gave away furniture from his home on the morning of the shooting, saying he was going to be deployed on Friday. He also handed out copies of the Quran.

Bedding Companies Step Up To Hep After Hurricane Harvey
During Hurricane Harvey, thousands of people were displaced from their homes. Many of them are returning to houses damaged by water and mud, which require cleanup at best or are completely uninhabitable at worst.
Among those helping hurricane survivors rebuild are mattress and bedding companies, providing a dry bed for people in need.
Staff at the NRG Center in Houston are stocked with supplies. michelmond/Shutterstock
Mattress Firm franchises in Sioux Falls, SD and Sioux City banded together to donate $20,000 to the American Red Cross, helping provide emergency survival kits for people staying in shelters.
The Mattress Firm corporate HQ will donate $1 million in product to nonprofits helping people who lost their homes in the flooding. In addition, portions of every purchase made at any Mattress Firm store by September 5th were donated “to provide up to an additional $1 million of pillows, blankets, and mattresses for people who have lost their homes and have to rebuild.”
Finally, the company is accepting donations of essential items at their locations in Austin, College Station, Dallas-Fort Worth, Harker Heights, Killeen, San Antonio or Temple, TX, promising to transport those items to Harvey survivors.
Online bedding retailer PureCare is donating 500 “sleep essentials” packages, which include total encasement protectors, pillows, sheets and sleep masks, to families in need, according to an article online at BedTimes Magazine.
Mattress1One has pledged to donate $50,000 in cash and over 1,000 mattresses and box springs. New Jersey mattress companies Eclipse International and Eastman House are teaming up with Sleep Designs to manufacture and donate twin mattresses to Harvey families in shelters.
Individuals are providing bedding on a smaller scale. Katie Harper, a 9-year-old from Baton Rouge, LA, sews blankets and pillow cases after school every day. “Last year it happened to us and a lot of friends had flooded,” Katie explained to news outlet WAFB. “So, I wanted to make some pillows and blankets for them in Houston.” As of last weekend, she’d completed 10 bedding sets.

And local businesses are doing their part, too. Houston bedding company Biscuit Home asked Instagram followers to re-gram information on how to help Harvey victims and pledged to donate up to 2,500 bedding sets depending on the response. Exclusive Furniture plan to donate up to 1,000 mattresses to displaced individuals.
In Houston, furniture store owner Jim McIngvale, known as “Mattress Mack,” opened his two showroom doors to families in need. Over 400 people showed up.
“We sell home theater furniture that you watch TV in, they’re sleeping on that,” McIngvale told NPR. “They’re sleeping on recliners, sleeping on sofas and love seats. We have sleeper sofas, they pulled them out and slept on that. They’re sleeping on hundreds of mattresses throughout the store. They’re sleeping on the couches — wherever they can find a place that’s comfortable, and God bless ’em.”

Types Of Beds For Kids
Tumblr media
A kid’s bed should be safe, durable, comfortable and easy to climb. Having storage space in the bed eliminates the need to have any additional organization arrangements in the room. Depending upon the functionality and appearance, here are different types of beds that you can consider for your kids.
Toddler beds: This type of bed is the most suitable for toddlers, as it is low in height and it is easy for a child to climb onto the bed. To enhance safety, these beds often have rounded edges and scratch proof coating. The beds are available in an array of dimensions, sizes and finishes to match the existing furniture in the room. Certain cribs are also available that can be easily converted into a toddlers bed.
Bunk beds: Bunk beds are the most preferred type of beds for the kids, especially for siblings. Bunk bed has two beds placed vertically on each other and there is ladder to climb to the top bed. Kids love to have these beds in their rooms, as it offers fun and adventure. The bed helps in saving space in the room and is available in a variety of designs, sizes and styles. It is crucial to buy a bunk bed that meets the safety guidelines and your child’s preferences.
Loft Beds: Loft beds are quite similar to bunk beds. The only difference is that they are elevated at a height so that the space beneath the bed can be used for accommodating a study table. These beds help in making the room more organized and clutter-free. You can also have drawers, cabinets or desk below the bed to maximize the space. These beds are available in different colors, configurations and shapes.
Futons: Often this type of bed does not have frame to support and are pliable. If the frame is used, then it is mostly wooden or metallic. These beds are great space savers, as they can be folded like mattresses. During daytime, the futon can be used for sitting and at night, it can be converted into a bed.
You should purchase a kid’s bed depending upon the size of the room, its design and the specific needs of your kid. You can also have customized beds if you want to decorate the bedroom of your child in a particular theme.

Choosing The Right Type Of Wood Furniture
Tumblr media
Wood furniture always attracts everyone, no matter what the personal style or taste is. It is a timeless beauty and adds a rich feel to the place. It is suitable for all the areas of the home – living room, bedroom, kitchen, home office etc. There are different varieties of wood available, each having their own distinctive features and benefits. Here are some kinds of woods and their characteristics which can help a buyer in making the right choice for their furniture.
Cedar: It is a western variety of wood which is reddish in color. This type of wood has a straight grain with a slight aromatic smell. It is relatively soft and light, making it easy to move. It is naturally moth and bug repellent which makes it the right choice for outdoor furniture.
Teak: It has a greasy texture with golden brown color. It possesses great resistance for weathering and rotting which makes it suitable for outdoor furniture. It is rarely available as it is expensive and counted among one of the most exotic varieties of wood.
Mahogany: This is a reddish-brown kind of wood which resists shrinking and warping. It is comparatively softer which makes it suitable for carving purposes. It also has a smooth grain which makes it fine in finish.
Pine: It is effortlessly available and easy to work with. This is a soft wood which lends itself to carving. It is a light variety of wood which makes the furniture easier to lift and move. There are many varieties of pine available, like white, tan, orange, yellow etc.
Oak: It is light pinkish-brown in color and possesses good resistance to shrinking and deforming. It is easily available and can be carved well for detailing. The furniture made from oak is comparatively expensive because of the beauty of the wood.
Cherry: This is a reddish-brown wood which possesses good resistance to shrinking, swelling and warping. Its features make it suitable for decorative uses. Cherry wood dyes well and complements most of the other woods.
Maple: It is a fine textured wood available in colors ranging from light beige to tan. It is a strong and durable variety of hardwood, which makes it unsuitable for detailing.
Redwood: As the name suggests, this kind of wood has a reddish tint to it and also possesses resistance to moisture which makes it suitable for outdoor use.
Birch: This kind of wood is available in two varieties- yellow and white. It is readily available and comparatively low in cost. Birch wood shares close resemblance with maple and is usually used to make fine furniture.
These are some of the commonly found varieties of woods. The type of wood to be chosen for furniture should be decided according to one’s budget and home décor.
